Palmer Distilling Co

My buddy and I came down from Canada and just happened to meet Walt at the reading terminal market. We had a lovely chat about all sorts of alcohol, got to tasting their Liberty Gin (absolutely delicious, so many nice flavours that were perfectly balanced), and just talking about life. Next time I’m down I’m stocking up on Liberty Gin. I’m always happy to support businesses run by such lovely folks. Thanks for the chats, Walt.

I'm not one to drink liquor straight, but the gin is so smooth and easy to drink. The cocktails were delicious. This is without a doubt the best hidden gem in Manayunk. The owners were so welcoming and down-to-earth. We cannot recommend this place (and the gin) enough!

Literally the best gin I've ever had. I'm not a very experienced gin drinker but the flavors from their gin are unlike anything I've ever had before. The proprietor showed us the still they use to make the gin and explained the process. Very traditional. Very artistic. Very friendly. I will return one day soon!

A consistently great spot to spend your afternoon. The husband and wife that run the shop are great conversationalists. I was not big on gin before finding this place, but am now a big fan. Seating is limited, but never seems to be an issue. This place has turned into a neighborhood staple.

The couple that own and run the place are incredible! We stayed 4 hours just to keep talking with them. They have such an interesting story and are more than willing to share it. Go for the gin, stay for the people.

The owners were very friendly. Explained their distilling process and gave us a taste of their Gin and Corn Whiskey. The Gin was very good we bought a bottle. The Moonshine was the best I ever had, not kidding. Not that moonshine is my favorite drink. Even at the best I ever had, it's not something I would sit around and drink all the time. It is very acquired taste. I did buy a bottle of the moonshine too. It's good to remember what the patriots drank and how the whiskey George Washington distilled back in revolutionary times. Can't wait till they start making aged whiskey. The good thing is I can buy it around the corner at the State Store at 300 S 5th Street

Been here multiple times. The couple who runs the place are supposed much fun to just sit and listen to. The passion for their trade is contagious. I most recently brought my family here and they had a great time. Highly encourage you to check this place out even if you're not that in to gin.

The owners took the time to tell me about their process and their gin and whiskey. I was able to stop in for a tasting today and I'm glad I did. It is always a pleasure to buy local products from great people.
