Palmitas Mexican Food

So excited to have delicious, well seasoned, affordable, quality tacos in the neighborhood! The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was so lively and welcoming. The menu is massive with plenty of options for anyone to try. Not to mention their delicious fresh juices like pineapple and Hotchata. Will definitely be back very soon for more!

Great food, great prices, and great service! I stopped in at 10pm on a Friday with a friend and the waitress was very sweet, even giving us an extra plate of chicken they were working on for free with our order. The al pastor tacos especially are fantastic!

Best tacos I’ve had in Chicago in a long time! Got pastor and carne asada. So glad they are in the neighborhood. Everyone there was extremely friendly and welcoming!

DELICIOUS AND AFFORDABLE I could cry!!! Everything I’ve had here is so good, and the staff are so nice too I feel so welcome coming in 💚. I’m getting a burrito next time because my friend got it and I think it could be 3 meals haha I LOVE IT!!!

I adore this place! It's a new little mexican food place, and my gosh, it is delightful! I highly recommend their pineapple drink. So pure, subtle, and fresh. I had an asada burrito..yum! My mom got some tacos. Presentation wise- they looked scrumptious. She said they tasted good so thats a plus! Th e service is excellent, i think we got our food in less than 10 minutes! I highly recommend stopping at Palmitas Mexican Food for a wonderful experience for a meal.

This place is wonderful. It’s everything I could ask for from a Mexican spot. The food is really fantastic. They have my favorite thing in the world aka lengua but it doesn’t have that weird soft wetness that most lengua has other places. The service is beyond sweet I love this place and can’t wait till it simmer and I go out for my night time bike rides and have a place to stop get a taco or 6 and have a horchata. I love that this is in the neighborhood cannot recommend enough.

My first time here. I ordered their Horchata to start it had just the right amount of sweetness,it's typically made from rice, water, cinnamon, and sugar, with a dash of vanilla. I liked the ambiance and our sweet, attentive waitress. I ordered the three taco rice/beans platter. I chose Chorizo which had good bits of tasty sausage, the second one was the El Pastor similar to chorizo chary bits and the last was the Steak Cecina is sliced beef and pork seasoned with chili peppers but it was a big disappointment, tough and chewy. I mention it to the waitress and she agreed but didn't take it off the bill.

I came here for lunch recently. The lady that helped me was so welcoming and friendly! I'm happy to see a business in this once vacant spot. I opted for a vegetarian three taco dinner. I really enjoyed the tacos and the rice! I'm excited to come back soon and try more of their options especially the breakfast. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively!

The Tacos de Cabeza are the best that I've had in the north side you gotta try them. The waiter was also very friendly and welcoming. !!

The food is delicious, the enchiladas and tacos are especially good. I really appreciate their prices which are reasonable for the area, a lot of places charge too much for tacos in this area, but not Palmitas. I would especially recommend their drinks. Their pineapple water and watermelon juice are addictive and some of the best drinks I have ever had! The woman who works the register is lovely, she always has a smile on and will direct you to the best foods. Best Mexican food in the area for sure!

Amazing and delicious new restaurant that just opened! The staff are so friendly and inviting and everything has been so yummy. We will keep coming back! :)
