Shuckers Closing Is Closing For New Luxury Development | Eater Miami

"Planned by DJ Kygo’s hospitality group to replace Shuckers, this luxury restaurant and hotel complex is slated to include a luxury hotel, an upscale restaurant, a marina with 20 boat slips, and a pool; while I expect it will undoubtedly be stunning and that I'll likely visit and enjoy it, the current plans look vastly different from what was initially promised to the community and symbolize the broader trend of replacing accessible local institutions with pricey, tourist-oriented developments." - Olee Fowler

The entire menu is gluten-free! I got the Lemongrass Curry w/ chicken. Even though the portion size was small, it was insanely delicious. The staff were also very nice.

I went there because their Instagram looks amazing, maybe it was the dish I chose but I was not very impressed, to be honest. Presentation was nice, my dish contained real tomato sauce that was very good but overall I found the food just ok, nothing out of the ordinary. My kid ate two bites and that was it, he called it done. Service was fast and efficient. The place looks clean and neat. The natural orange juice was delicious.

I went by myself and had the best food! The summer roll was really fresh and the sauce was great. The Penne alla Vodka was just the right spiciness which could be toned down with the burrata on top. The server was super nice. Would definitely come back.

Cool little café/restaurant that's fully glutenfree. The portions are a bit small for my liking but they are delicious and definitely worth trying out. The menu has a variety of different culutural dishes, so you will definitely find something you like. For glutenfree enjoyers a perfect place.

I went to this Brunchplace today with my boyfriend and it was good surprise. We booked the reservation yesterday at midnight and they had still a lot of reservations available. The food is amazing. Everything is gluten free. I liked everything in general but i was not the biggest fan of the bread, maybe because it was my first time trying gluten free bread but i would have the option of normal bread in the menu. Me and my boyfriend asked for a meal for two, it costed 47€ and it included 2 drinks and 3 different plates. It was more than enough for the two of us and it was very tasty and delicious. I would only give the tip that the tables for two are not too big and it would make more sense if both people would receive each one plate of each food, so that this “food stand” is not in front of the person. And i would bring each dish one at a time. Also would ask what the client would want first “the cold drink” or “the warm drink”. I know it would give a bit more work to the team serving the tables but in my opinion it would make the experience more enjoyable. Other than that everything was amazing, the space is very cozy and cool. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely come back.

The place is small (better to make a reservation) but very nicely designed. Everything on the menu is gluten free, which is definitely a plus. The food itself is pretty standard, nothing impressive, and the portions are very small considering the high prices. My table ordered some bread-based plate… honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it — it’s 100% seeds and tastes terrible. The service was a bit overwhelming; in the one hour we were there, we were asked at least 6 times if “everything was okay.” It felt more annoying than attentive. On top of that, we were seated right next to the bathroom, which was not pleasant at all. Overall: beautiful place, but the quality-to-price ratio is disappointing.

We ordered Eggs Benedict and shakshuka — in both dishes, the eggs were overcooked. It was insanely hot inside, and the wall fans did absolutely nothing. The service was good, but the interior felt very outdated: early-2000s neon pendant lights mixed with straw accents all over the place. We ate, we got full, but the food wasn’t tasty — we’re definitely not coming back.

This place is a must for anyone who is gluten free! Everything was delicious, cute atmosphere, and great service!
