From the start, the experience was disappointing. No greeting when we walked up to the counter to order--just awkward silence. The building and vibe are cute, but ordering at the counter is inconvenient. How am I supposed to grab a seat and place an order at the same time? We opted for takeout instead, hoping to find a seat afterward.
Then came the wait. Three people who ordered coffee after us were served first--okay, cool. When our food finally arrived, I went to grab utensils and found only one plastic fork in the basket. I asked for another and some ketchup. The response? "Ketchup is behind you." Sure, but it's a bottle--am I supposed to drown my meal in it? As for the cutlery, I was told, "Oh, I'd have to go and get that." ...Yeah? No kidding? The basket was empty. It's literally your job to restock it or grab one when a customer asks.
Overall, bad service, frustrating setup, and not worth the hassle. Now, the food. We ordered the sandwich and the Cali burrito--talk about disappointment.
I was so excited for the tater tots on the side of my sandwich. They looked beautifully crispy, but somehow they had this rank smoky meat flavor? No idea what went wrong there. The sandwich itself was... fine. The egg and bacon were cooked well, but it completely lacked flavor. There was some kind of aioli--I could see it, but I definitely couldn't taste it. Overall, just boring.
Now, the burrito. What the hell were they trying to do here? The steak was disgusting--hard, gristly, dry chunks of meat that made every bite a chore. No sauce? No cheese? Just a sad, flavorless mess. We each took one bite and threw it away.
