Palo Cortao

A small and rather inconspicuous place, this restaurant offers a warm hearted welcome, a very relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and a very good price point. We enjoyed flat out everything we ordered, which prompted us to order even more. The wine was an especially good recommendation and super well priced. We enjoyed ourselves greatly.

This is a nice restaurant located near the famous Carrer de Blai in Paral-lel. It offers mediterranean food served in a gourmet style. The decoration is simple but very elegant, perfect for a date night. The staff was friendly. We ordered pulled pork croquettes (5 out of 5), shrimp omelette (3 out of 5), chicken cannelloni in truffle sauce (5 out of 5) and a delicious beef tenderloin in raspberry sauce with potatoes (5 out of 5). Price was a bit high but fair having into account the quality of the dishes. Overall, it is a good restaurant that I would love to go back to.

The food was excellent and high quality. Everything was extremely tasty and delicious. It was very busy and it took a long time to get our food, which is understandable since there are only two waiters. 4 stars because although everything was delicious we wanted another glass of wine / another dish during dinner and couldn't flag anyone down to get it. They were crazy busy and it was very hard to get their attention.

Most amazing place while we stayed in the city. Food was unbelievable and the place was recomended by our Airb&b hostes. We came back few time throughout our 2 week stay. We just couldnt resist the mucles and octopus. Tartar is also amazing.

One of the best places to taste the various cuisines Spain has to offer. Close to the most famous street of Barcelona (Carre de Blai) this restaurant has the best mix of tapas I have ever tasted. A bit on the expensive side though but totally worth it. The ambiance is simple and a very friendly staff add to the whole experience. Would definitely return soon.

The service,the waitresses and the patio all are great but the food and the quality was really disappointing. Nothing really tasted good. We had eggplants, tuna tartare, steak and foie and many others.. photos look good, taste not so much. Such a shame because its a very cozy place and it was pricey!

We walked in as soon as they opened for the evening as the first guests. Soon we understood why they get fully booked! Great place and delicious food! Recommend to anyone visiting the neighbourhood.

Was so close to leaving a 5 star review but the waiter was an absolute smartarse who has no grasp of the enigma that hospitality apparently is. The food is genuinely good but really let down by the poor service. Would I recommend; yes, but expect a salty comment at everything you ask or say
