"This attractive restaurant, just a few steps from the legendary Atarazanas market, is one of those restaurants you’ll love visiting thanks to its constant desire to improve. The couple in charge of the kitchen (Cristina Cánovas and Diego Aguilar), both of whom have trained in leading restaurants, have used the initials of their first names to come up with the concept of “Dual Cuisine” (this sense of duality can also be seen in Palodú’s dining rooms – one, with an open kitchen, decorated in black tones, the other dominated by the colour white). Their cooking is focused on two tasting menus called Alcazul and Palodú, both based around seasonal dishes and accompanied by a wine-pairing option. The intensely flavoured “sequence” of “red mullet - gazpachuelo – potato” served together is particularly recommended. Take a seat at the counter if you enjoy watching food being prepared in front of you." - Michelin Inspector

A really wonderful meal beautiful Palodú! Food, wines & service were all excellent. Diego & Cris’s food is a refined take on Andalusian cuisine, using ingredients sourced locally, plus additional flourishes & details, but their dishes acknowledge tradition. Beautiful crockery & cutlery too. We sat at the counter to watch the magic. Well informed and friendly service from Nacho & colleagues. Thank you for a very special dinner!

Excellent and creative interpretations of local traditional Malaga specialties. We had the Palodú tasting menu that was a great culinary experience. Although over 15 courses we were not overstuffed since the dishes are not big and not heavy. All beauty and taste experiences that were very special. The service is extremely good and friendly. The wine pairing is highly recommended.

We had dinner at Palodú tonight and we are honestly still speechless. Every course was a work of art - not only visually, but in flavour, balance, and technique. The precision in each dish was extraordinary: delicate textures, bold yet perfectly controlled flavours, and combinations that surprised us again and again. Nothing was done just to impress - everything had a clear purpose and story on the plate. One dish in particular truly stood out for me: the cured tongue. It was absolutely exceptional - unbelievably tender, perfectly balanced, and executed with such finesse that it completely redefined what this ingredient can be. Deep, elegant flavours and a melt-in-the-mouth texture made it my clear favourite of the evening. The pacing of the menu was flawless, with each course flowing naturally into the next and keeping us fully engaged from start to finish. You can truly taste the respect for ingredients, seasonality, and craftsmanship throughout the entire experience. The service deserves special mention and was a clear 10 out of 10: warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I am currently pregnant, and the way the team handled this was exceptional. Every precaution was taken with absolute professionalism, without ever making it feel restrictive or uncomfortable. That level of care is rare and deeply appreciated. The atmosphere was equally perfect - calm, elegant, and intimate, allowing the food to take centre stage while still feeling relaxed and welcoming. We have been fortunate to dine at many Michelin-starred restaurants, and this experience is without a doubt in our top three - possibly even number one. Our highest recommendation to anyone who truly loves exceptional food and meaningful dining experiences. Thank you for an unforgettable evening. We will absolutely be back very soon. 🙏🏻👌🏻

My husband arranged my birthday at Palodu, and they could not have been more accommodating. They've adjusted 2 if their menus fo pregnancy friendly, as well as deserts to diabetes friendly, moreover, as we were with a child, they were super comfortable with it and were doing everything we would feel great. The food was fabulous, even the adjusted (cooked) versions were art and had so many interesting flavors combinations.

Good experience overall. Beautiful location, good food and wines. I liked it. A suggestion for improvement - is for employees to be a bit more personal. Everybody was smiling and polite, but not more. This is a lot to ask, but I feel like in Michelin - star restaurants so much depends on personality of employees. Unfortunately, I did not feel the spark. Another thing for me - is that waiters looked almost solely at my boyfriend while talking and not at me. This felt a bit conservative. I hope that in the future you guys will pay equal attention to everybody who comes to the restaurant.

Incredible experience! We loved the service, the food was rich in flavors and each dish was a surprise. Everything perfectly balanced and beautifully made. The only thing that I would point as an improvement is the chairs. We spent more than 2h in the restaurant and the chairs are super uncomfortable. Overall, really enjoyed and recommend!

Wonderful restaurant, ambitious chefs. I had lunch here today with my husband. We spent the entire afternoon on the beautiful tasting menu including truly wonderful wine pairing. The chef combines great creativity with serious craftsmanship. Some dishes really blew us away. Real fine dining.

An exceptional fine dining experience at Palodu. I was traveling solo in Málaga and really wanted to try Palodu’s tasting menu at the bar. Though unavailable when booking, I was accommodated at a table upon arrival—a fortunate turn, as the full view of the open kitchen truly enhanced the experience. I loved everything about the place—the clean, modern vibe, the way they use local ingredients, and how every little detail was just right. I went for the Palodu tasting menu with wine pairings. The food showcased technical skill and thoughtful composition. Dishes incorporated wood-fired elements, fermentation, and subtle Japanese influences without overwhelming the core Andalusian identity. Standouts included precisely grilled hake and red mullet courses, and amazing vegetable courses of zucchini flowers and green chickpea with delicate sauce. The wines were equally outstanding - a crisp, vibrant Palomino Fino, refreshing white to go with fish courses, an elegant style Ribero del Duero red, and an intensely floral Noctiluca Moscatel de la Axarquía - one of the most intensely perfumed sweet wines I’ve tasted - they really worked well to elevate the experience. Yet beyond the food and wine, what truly stood out was the exceptional service and the seamless teamwork between chefs Cristina and Diego and their staff. Warm, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable, they made me feel completely at ease in the refined setting. Sitting close to the open kitchen for three hours was like having an extended Omakase dinner, or a front-row seat to a live Chef’s Table episode, it was inspiring to see the entire team operated with calm, focus, confidence, and synergy. Having dined at several fine establishments across Europe and Japan recently, I can confidently say Palodu is among the very best. Their concept, culinary artistry, wine selection, and service are all operating at a very high level. They deserve recognition and are undoubtedly on their way to even greater success. For anyone who appreciates fine dining, Palodu is a must-visit - a truly extraordinary experience that I couldn’t recommend more highly. My meal here was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of my time in Málaga.
