Paloma Coffee & Bakery, Greenpoint

I only tried the chocolate croissant here, but it was pretty good. I almost got the maple bourbon pecan pastry because I like all of those things, but I was advised that most of their pastries are tailored more to the american palate (see: suuuuper sweet) so I went with the more classic choice; I'd swing by again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Great pastries. Came back to try their chocolate croissant and the cake, both were fantastic. I'll have to pin this establishment in my go-to spots for breakfast. This location is bigger than the other one in the neighborhood and they have outdoor seating available.

We tried pecan pain and orange danish. Both are great! A bit too sweet. But great for pairing with black coffee.

This is a nice little coffee shop that my friend brought me to in Greenpoint. We came in December as a part of birthday celebration because this is one of her favorites. 💝 I like their coffee and the pastry we ordered. The seating was limited but we got nice window seats that day. Will come to visit again when coming to Greenpoint. To me, 4 is pretty good.😊

Amazing coffee and the pastries are incredible! Highly recommended. The people working are super kind too! Steve and Gael were super professional and took good care of us! They were knowledgeable on their pastries and they really knew their coffee! Enjoy ☕!

So I noticed other reviews saying they've been charge differently and didn't have this happen to me until recently. Jan16 I got charged more than on Jan. 31 Did the prices go down? Or have they been charging differently every time. The day I got charged more there was a different person behind the counter. I usually always see the same person behind the counter and he always makes my drinks perfectly and charges me correctly. Don't know his name though :/

Stopped by this coffee shop as it was recommended to me. The Oat cappuccino they made me was pretty standard, but nothing really to write home about. However, I will admit that my standards for coffee are going up, so take that with a grain of salt - I think this place will be great to fit your espresso needs for most people. It's a small space, and there aren't really any tables - a few stools by the window. It's rather lively on the weekend and the space has a lot of natural light. They have a pastry selection too. My friend got the hojicha latte and they did a good job making it not too milky, which I find often is the case with hojicha lattes - it still honors the tea flavor. Glad to have tried this place out. Wouldn't say it's the best espresso, but it will check the box and make you feeling happy if you're most people when it comes to coffee.

I am a local and regular. Since I moved to the neighborhood Paloma has become an indispensable part of the landscape to me. I buy coffee here pretty much every 5 days because it's very good and convenient for me... like how amazing it is it that I can wake up realize I'm out of high end coffee and go around the corner and have an ENTIRE WALL of options of different beans from different regions. Since I moved to the area I have pretty much only bought from them and I am a pretty picky third wave coffee connoisseur. Aside from the beans the coffee is great. My go-to usually is an oat cortado as I cannot make that at home. All of the baked goods I have tried have been amazing. Vibes are great. Staff is always friendly even with a guy like me who is most of the time just getting a bag of beans.

Paper cup of ice coffee for 7 dollars. Cup is melting. Only regular sugar packets, no liquid sugar available. More ice than coffee. Interior is nice, but coffee isn't this coffee spots strong point.

I am a nyc native (from here). I have mild food allergies. I'm allergic to coconut and tree nuts. Unbelievably, this is my first negative experience at a coffee shop. I asked if the drink that I ordered contained my allergen, and the guy behind the register was such a jerk about it. I'm no stranger to the NYC attitude, but I was genuinely taken aback. There was no line at this place. Just a guy who was mad that his customer-facing job involved actually interacting with customers. "I have no idea", he said. "I'm allergic", I said. After 3 passive aggressive and unhelpful remarks from him, I asked if he could check the ingredient list- which they didn't have. "I don't know- it's from Kettl. I don't know what the ingredients are". I cancelled my drink, but had to pay for the ice coffee that they had already made. Just FYI- they give you iced coffee in a paper cup. Not ideal if you're walking more than 3 blocks. The cup falls apart. The baristas were nice, but the entire encounter left such a bad taste in my mouth. If you have no idea what ingredients are in the drinks you're serving, maybe you shouldn't be serving them? If you don't know how to relay bad news to a customer willing to shell out $9 for matcha, why are you working at a coffee shop? So many better cafes nearby- SweetLeaf, Kettl, literally anywhere else. Don't go here

Ambiance isn't warm or welcoming due to unfriendly staff. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to bring your laptop as their isn't much space or outlets. Coffee is okay. The hot pocket is good.

Been here a few times. $11 for 2 large drip coffees, coffee was burnt to the point of being borderline undrinkable. There are better cafes in the surrounding blocks.

best espresso in the neighborhood! I used to live fairly close but now am about a 20 minute walk away and still make the journey for my morning cappuccino :)

Coffee and Bakery in Greenpoin. Great spot for breakfast. Amazing coffee with fresh pastries some bread to take home and big choice of fresh coffee beans that you can treat yourself. They also have some gift items to make coffee at home don't forget to look at art that they have for sale.

terrible customer service + mediocre coffee. Dude got mad at me for having a cup from another cafe even though I also ordered coffee at this cafe. Honestly feels like the cafe is insecure about perception which makes sense cause every other cafe on the block is miles better. From my experience, every cafe I've been to in the neighborhood has been okay with me holding coffees from other cafes. This specific cafe literally got so scared I wouldn't order anything that they pressed me to order a coffee and then kicked me out as soon as I got it. Dude also made me get out of my seat even though I was literally the only one at the cafe. When literally every other cafe in greenpoint treats you with respect, I don't see a single reason why you'd come here. The essence of a great cafe is where you can show up, take your time with ordering, spend some time having a seat, etc. this business doesn't care about any of that. They see customers as dollar signs. It's ur classic business taking advantage of a gentrified neighborhood. They don't care about giving you the cafe experience you're looking for.

This is a cafe, not a singles mixer. I was patiently waiting to order while the barista was hitting on the customer in front of me (flirting to the point that they had to mention that they had a partner). I was fine with waiting for their conversation to end, but the fact that the barista took my order, then continued to compliment the customers behind me, complete their orders, and give them their drinks before mine is the reason I won't be going back there. Go on a dating site instead of trying to get a date at work.

Love this place. Great cold brew (recommend black or Nola) and a great spot to grab beans to make at home. If you're a savory snack person, you have to try the cheddar chive scone it's magical. Grab a window drink rail spot to sip and dog watch. They also have a shelf of cool little curated cups and mugs for sale if you're looking for a cool gift.

Very good coffee and the bakery smelled amazing. The workers were very friendly & cute vibes overall.
