Google
My rating is based on the portion size for the price and quality. Very upsetting that the only Filipino restaurant nearby charges $15.99 for a portion as big my Xbox controller. $8 per bbq skewer??? RIP OFF. Someone who eats these dishes regularly would say it lacks the actually flavor and texture. DO NOT ORDER HERE. if you want good Filipino cuisine head to Daly City or Isla in San Bruno, a bit of a drive but more food for your buck. Walang anuman.

Google
Take out only and street parking if available, hardly any but street is not busy. Good- sized portions on their bowl meals but the pork bbq seems to be short. Really small empanadas, though the dough is good, the stuff inside is just commercially grade fillings, not like your grandma used to make in the Philippines. The greens/salad dressing is quite tasty. I recommend the mango-calamansi drink.

Google
This was delicious! I found the restaurant on Ubereats and had not seen it before (I’m assuming it’s new given lack of reviews) - we ordered three different dishes and loved all. I live in Menlo Park and typically drive farther north to get Filipino food, but won’t need to anymore with this gem in Redwood City!

Google
Just visiting and I’m glad I found a great Filipino restaurant near by!! Super yummy and filling. Definitely bang for your buck

Google
I think it’s fine but the portion is very little also they are fine not that good . This is mostly my daily food but I definitely cook better than this. The sausage ( longanisa was dried and the noodles taste like soy sauce 😅😅. So over all it’s ok . This will be my last I feel like it’s waste of money .

Google
Not worth. Food looks good only in the picture. Only Rice is ok. Sisig is more on vegetables not pork. Empanada is small servings.

Google
Crazy prices for portions so small. Food is ok which is why I’m giving this 2 stars. But I’d avoid and go to Daly City like a previous review mentioned.

Google
It's a modern take of Filipino food and it's very good but it has way too much rice for me with little meat.

Yelp
A Filipino restaurant in Redwood City, long overdue. I was definitely rooting for this place, so much. For $21 the bowl that I ordered was definitely, not what I was anticipating at all. Kuya's BBQ Pork was good, however, with portion size and taste, I probably would have ordered something else. The Pickled Veggies does include mango and pickles, something to keep in mind if you don't like pickles, like me. Egg was I believe, $2 to add. At $7.50 the Calamansi Boba Refresher is steep but overall worth it. It's definitely pricer than your average boba order but a must try and flavor profile that I have yet to encounter. Parking definitely sucks. The location is half industrial and half residential. We had to park about 3.5 blocks away and walk to the location. It's in a very packed neighborhood, and shares a few restaurants inside the (1) address and location, so don't be thrown off if you think you're in the wrong place, you're probably not. I probably wouldn't go again mainly because the portion size is tiny, and the effort to get to this location was more than the entire experience was worth for me.

Yelp
I've only ever had takeouts with Pamily-Filipino Cuisine. So this review is solely for their food. Their beef steak tagalog, was so tender and juicy! I had it in my fridge for three days straight! It had a pretty big serving. their tocilog spam bowl was okay. It I liked the tocilog alone. I feel like the spam was too heavy for me too finish, but if you want a heavy breakfast/brunch, I highly recommend this. But the best thing about this place for me, is Wawa's Banana Bread. It's fluffy, it's not too sweet, it's an 11/10. I'm a big dessert girly. It was just banana bread so I wasn't expecting anything. But it really really surprised me how perfectly made it was. I've ordered 3x here and I always ended up getting the banana bread.

Yelp
I haven't tried proper Filipino food in a long time and decided to adventure out of my usual take out food. I got the food through DoorDash so I can't speak for the restaurant building itself. However the food came nicely prepared and still warm after unpacking. Overall the food is delicious. I got the Manila bbq chicken bowl and street food sampler and both were great. The bowl comes with rice, noodles and two nicely charred, marinated chicken skewers. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The rice was well made and not dry. I don't think I've had Filipino noodles pancit noodles but I liked the thin and chewy consistency. It somewhat reminded me of Korean japchae/glass noodles. Overall food was delicious and felt very homey! I think it's a tad bit overpriced but I would definitely come again to taste other menu items. I wish I could give a 4.5/5!

Yelp
Bought food to bring to a friend's for a visit. The empanadas were the only good things in my order. The lumpia was decent, and the pork barbecue. was so-so. The other dishes I got were abominable. Who makes pancit with just soy sauce? It was so horrible since soy sauce was the only thing you tasted from the noodles. And the adobo - where was the vinegar? Again, soy sauce heavy. My friend who is Greek even lamented, "Why is this white people adobo? The mediocre dishes didn't merit the prices they're charging. Especially for a takeout place. Save your money and go elsewhere.

John T.

Yelp
This is a takeout only location which kind of through me off when I arrived to pickup. I got the chicken adobo and shrimp/pork lumpia. The chicken adobo was okay, but mine is way better. The lumpia were on the fishy side...I would have thought the pork and shrimp would be separate, but they were blended....maybe not so good! Not sure it's worth a second try.

Yelp
This is my favorite Filipino restaurant in the bay!! My work caters lunch from this place and every the option for Pamilya-Filipino pops up I JUMP. Their skewers are always very juicy and smokey and their pancit is very flavorful without being heavy. If you're in the mood for a quick lunch I highly highly recommend this place. Please check them out!!

Yelp
What a great discovery!!!! Had a Halloween party where my guests were asking for Lumpia. My quest to find Lumpia near me was a bigger challenge then expected. My fellow "Yelpers" saved the day. Pamilya-Filipino Cuisine was discovered real close to where we were having our party. I went down to their location and met up with the owner named Jhed. I told him I needed 100 Lumpia's and dipping sauce and he said "No Problem". Boy was I relived. Jhed said that he would deliver them himself as it was on his way home. He showed up exactly when he said he was and his 100 Lumpia's were devoured by my guests in no time at all. Complement after compliment was heard from all the guests...wanting to know where the Lumpia came from. Pamilya-Filipino Cuisine will be one name in my phone that I will use over and over when looking for Filipino food. Thank you Jhed. Best wishes in opening your restaurant on Woodside Road in Redwood City in 2024. PS...sorry no pictures because the food was gone before I realized I needed to take some pictures.

Yelp
I went here for the first time on a weekday afternoon this week after seeing it was the #1 rated place in Redwood City for lumpia. I won't be returning. Parking: none. Good luck finding a spot on the street. I parked 3 blocks away on Middlefield. Note: it's in the same block as Capelo's BBQ (which has a spacious parking lot for their customers only), a few addresses down the side street which is dicey with aggressive barking dogs behind fences, not a place I'd go after sundown. Order: I didn't pre-order so I used the touch screen inside the door. Apparently other food places use this kitchen space since other restaurant names are listed. The Appetizer Sampler wasn't listed although it's on their website. The guy sitting behind the front desk wasn't of much help. Food: came out fairly quickly, about 10-15 minutes. - Lumpia: you get 6 for $9.99, pricey, each 3.5 inches and thin. Weird filling, see photo. I've a had lumpia at many places in California and Hawaii. The frozen Costco lumpia are better than what I had here, sorry. - Chicken Empanada: you get 3 for $7.99, each 3 inches long. Flavor not bad but I wish they were bigger. See photo. - Sauce: weird - thin consistency, vinegary. - Banana bread $5.99. I was curious since another Yelper said it's great. Was in a sealed foil vacuum bag which you tear open. Not bad, not great, it's not threatening the banana breads of Hana. But it had chocolate chips and was the tastiest part of this meal.

Donna V.

Yelp
Our vendor delivered food to go for us from Pamilya. Its pretty good considering they were new. Lumpia is tasty and good size. Will order again.

Yelp
Literally a hole in the wall! I double parked because I knew I would be in and out. This was my first time visiting so I had no clue what I needed to do. I saw my name on the monitor along with a food tracker, just like what was on my phone. What I didn't see, was how to get in touch with the restaurant. I was utterly confused. Not long after a gentleman popped his head out and I inquired about my order. He showed me the doorbell associated with my restaurant and said all I needed to do was ring the bell. I laughed at myself for missing it entirely. Aside from all that, Shanghai's were on point! I ordered 7 orders for my little office party and they were a hit. Everyone asked where I went and bugged for their contact information. We were highly satisfied.

Yelp
Sorry but I'm just going to have to be honest and share my experience with this joint. I read the reviews and thought I'd try it. I tried to order a few simple dishes just to check them out. When I tried to order a 'delivery' from their site, after going it's instructions, at the end, it told me it does not deliver to my area... out of thier delivery zone. I live in Palo Alto, a mere 6 miles away so that was a head scratcher for me. I ended up picking it up myself. I realize it's a "ghost kitchen" but when I got to their facility... first off, it's in the middle of 'ghetto land' in a bad part of Redwood City. Then, there is absolutely NO PARKING anywhere... I got my food and headed home only to be extremely disappointed with the 2 basic items I ordered. One was fried veg lumpia. It was one of those tiny lumpia that was frozen a bit too long...then dropped in deep fryer. It had 'holes' on it and so it's basically an exploded overcooked mess, which by the way was extremely tasteless, except fpr the vinegar you dip it in. All the 3 tiny pieces for $10 !!! :-) The BBQ chicken wasn't any better. Just a $10/ stick low quality chicken submerged in a sweet bbq sauce. And very dry !!! Learned my lesson and am sharing my honest experience ...sorry Pamilya ... you gotta do better charging exorbitant fees for such a low quantity/quality product and VERY LOW overhead on your part. I know because we (my family) are all in the food business... No more Ghost kitchen ordering for me.

Victoria M.

Yelp
Yummy! I wish the empanadas were bigger, every bite is delicious! The lumpia are ok, the bowls are outstanding! I've ordered the chicken bowl and the steak bowl. Every bite is perfection! I highly recommend this place!!!!

Lorenzo K.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and I recommend it to all my Coworkers. I love their Bistec and lumpia. It's quick and convenient and the best Filipino food you can get in the area.

Lisa A.

Yelp
My meat was super fatty , couldn't eat my meal . We ordered this door dash for lunch and I was not impressed . Would not go back and my 2 friends who were Filipino said it was just ok . It's only a pick up place also . Not a dine there type of restaurant.

Jason A.

Yelp
Hole in the wall "restaurant" - mostly a pick up restaurant but they set up a table for us which was really nice of them. The food was delicious - we got the street food sampler and half and half bowl. Loved the manila bbq chicken the most!

La L.

Yelp
I was gassing up at the Costco in Redwood City. This restaurant was the first to pop up in my Yelp search results so I decided to try it. The storefront looks nothing like a restaurant... no signs outside, just a few outdoor patio tables. Inside there's a screen to order for 3 different restaurants... can't see a kitchen anywhere. Next time I will order online! We tried the lumpia Shanghai, chicken empanadas, garlic shrimp, BBQ pork sticks, and banana bread. Each dish was a winner, and I would definitely order Pamilya again!

Lisa R.

Yelp
First time ordering here and done via DoorDash - Ordered the BST bowl with half rice half noodles - beef was tasty and well seasoned noodles were simple yet tasty Also ordered the lumpia which arrived still nice and crispy! I will definitely order from here again next time I'm craving filipino food. I wish I would have taken pics prior to digging in.. the side salad with mango was also delicious.

Melody Y.

Yelp
I'm so happy to discover this Filipino restaurant in my neighborhood!!! The food was outstanding, and tasted great even as leftovers days later. I can't wait to order from here again!!

Chin H.

Yelp
Was looking around for easy takeout food while in the RWC area and this place popped up. Ordered the 2item combo, sisig and kuya's pork bbq with the pancit, and a side of lumpia. Food did not disappoint, tastes just like home! The lumpia was great. The pork bbq(beware the skewer when eating though) was tender and had a good char. The sisig was yummy! It's the cleanest tasting sisig I've ever had. It's not swimming in oil and the chicharon on top was perfect, and stayed crispy on the 15min drive home. Loved everything on our plate, and would totally come back to try the rest of the menu!

Ros S.

Yelp
A local Filipino restaurant in Redwood City! We ordered the El Nido Shrimps Bowl - absolutely perfect and delicious! Would definitely order this again. We also ordered the Boneless Chicken Adobo Bowl - it was a bit salty. Hoping the restaurant adjusts the salt. Otherwise, the bowl would've been perfect like the shrimp bowl. Would definitely try them again.

Morris V.

Yelp
I was excited to see a Filipino food option in Redwood City. The bowl is on the pricer side for Filipino food, but the portion is huge and packs a lot of flavor. I'll be coming back to taste the rest of the menu.

Rob C.

Yelp
3.5 part of redwood city eats ghost kitchen. Chicken BBQ. Rice/Pancit Noodles. Tropical Side Salad + Pickled Veggies is popular. only 2 skewers however. same with lumpia-- standard and expensive

Sharon M.

Yelp
I'm still shocked that I just recently found this spot while working in Redwood City! I decided to door dash and this was the first thing that popped on my app! So, I looked it over and given by the Yelp and Door Dash reviews, it seemed legit! So, I decided to order. I ordered veggie lumpia, adobo, pork skewers and half and half. It also comes with salad and I love the dressing and chunks of mango! They were all amazing! No, the adobo was not salty like someone mentioned lol Glad my order was seasoned perfectly! And I also ordered the mango calamansi drink and man, that is amazing as well! I always order that when I order. So, my second time ordering, I picked it up myself. The location is a bit hard to find, but it's between a residential street around some auto shops. I ordered the garlic shrimp and bistek and both were also very good! Now I know where I can get my garlic shrimp fix! So bomb! I wonder if this place caters lol Either way, this has been my new favorite Filipino spot! Just a reminder that this is a ghost kitchen and has no seating. Only good for delivery/pick-up! I can't wait to try the rest of their dishes! So far everything is very good!

Josefina V.

Yelp
Filipino comfort food! The food is made in a ghost kitchen. So unfortunately, you can't sit down somewhere and get to know the owner and staff behind this business. Food is a little pricey. But what isn't these days. Try it out. 5/5 would recommend.

Marie S.

Yelp
Filipino food in Redwood City?! About time! Not your traditional pancit, but oddly enough, the plain noodles cooked in soy sauce were not bad The Pork BBQ sticks were good Tropical Salad went well with the meal Mini chicken empanadas were tasty Shanghai/Lumpias also tasty snacks The best part of our take out order...the refreshing Mango Calamansi Juice If you're in the area, don't feel like cooking, craving for simple yet tasty filipino food, this place is it!

Andre L.

Yelp
Worst food I have had in a long time. I ordered the Adobe chicken thinking it will be the traditional and it was like a gravy and did not taste like it has any vinegar in it at all. Got the lumpia and also not tasty. Bland I really wanted to love this food but was not good

Jas R.

Yelp
If you want to try real Filipino food go to Milpitas Pinoy bbq 10 times way better . I had visit Pamilya for the first time and 1st thing I notice this restaurant they don't even answer the phone call . This restaurant doesn't even have a parking lot , you have to park on the streets and is a scary because there's just a bunch of homeless people around , there's no parking what's so ever the street is really dark always have to check behind you check your surrounding, I didn't even feel comfortable leaving my vehicle. Lastly I got chicken adobo and I tried my first bite and it was just very upsetting . Their pricing for their food is ridiculous and the adobo was just wasn't the business. Just waist of your time

Monina C.

Yelp
Disclaimer: This is a review from a meal that I ordered through DoorDash. I was super stoked to see that this section of the peninsula had a Filipino restaurant. Last week I had a super rare craving for some ulam (rare, because I grew up eating this all the time and go tired of it as an adult). It's a major plus that it was also offered on DoorDash which makes it super convenient for me since I work in dowtown Palo Alto. Anyways down to the nitty gritty- I ordered the Boneless Chicken Adobo Bowl with half rice and half pancit and some lumpia shangai. I do agree with the other review here that the Adobo was kinda salty, but hey-- what is pinoy food if you don't have salt? Aside from it being a tad salty for my liking I thought the Adobo was actually really good and comes closest to home, or even how grandma makes it. I do have to give them extra kudos of not including a surprise whole peppercorn for me to bite on lol The pancit that was included was pretty bomb, just how I like it- not too much stuff but more noodles. I actually don't think I've ever had pancit noodles like this dry, it reminds me of sotanghon noodles, but it really works. I did wish that the pickled veggies was separate because I did not like tasting some of the cucumber and picked taste in my Adobo. As for the lumpia, I thought it was pretty legit, and delicious. Would I order from here again? Hell yeah. I do hope they thrive and gain a following, it's great food with a simple menu, and for folks like me that may have a random craving of back home, or feeling home sick, this place definitely brings comfort to the soul.

Lynn G.

Yelp
The food brought back good memories. We had lumping, chicken empanada, & steak. All were delicious.

Marli E.

Yelp
Ordered through Doordash; got the 2-item bowl with BBQ pork and garlic shrimp, half rice /half pancit; add-on 2 chicken empanadas, and full order lumpia Shanghai. The order came complete and well-packaged, with a small salad included which was very much appreciated! I liked the lumpia; it met expectations for authenticity though the sauce had a lot of ginger flavor which was unexpected. The pancit is innovative in not having toppings, but the subtle flavor was rather addictive and it worked well as an accompaniment. Even with half rice and half noodles, there must have been 2 cups of rice in the combo bowl. The BBQ pork had good flavor. The garlic in the garlic shrimp was underdone and tasted harsh (compared to gently fried crispy garlic) but the shrimp were plump and tender. Chicken empanaditas were nice and crispy. It's a treat to have salad with Filipino food as it's not very common, and I love that they do that. Seems like a well-thought out menu and I'll order again to try other items.

Dan L.

Yelp
The food was great, the front desk was kind and courteous; however parking is near impossible to find. Be prepared to search for street parking a distance away, or have to double park, or park in a fire lane.

Maui B.

Yelp
The food wasn't too bad. I wish the pancit had more veggies, not plain noodles with soy sauce and food coloring. The parking was so bad. The guy who lives next door just swore at my husband; he is such a very mean puti person Their sisig and longanisa were delicious.

Malu G.

Yelp
Not good at all. Not worth your money for a bowl that's almost $20. It's mostly sticky rice on the bowl and the noodle is frustrating. It's like they just put soy sauce on it and sticking together. Not sure if the cook is a Filipino and I hope he or she is not because it's really disgusting. The sauce is all over the rice, noodle and salad. Will never order again and not recommended.

Kristen A.

Yelp
Really liked the chicken bowl! Wish there was more chicken - only 1 skewer. But over all a good about of food with the salad and noodles. The pancit noodles were good, and empanadas were very tasty! Will definitely be ordering again!

Paul W.

Yelp
Saw this place on Uber eats and had to try it because there's no other Filipino restaurants in the RWC area. We were pleasantly surprised and I consider myself a picky pinoy eater. The pancit really surprised me because it's slightly different than traditional. Great job and looking forward to trying more of your dishes.

Jose L.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken adobo with rice and pancit with an egg. The food was really good. I should of ordered ahead. There were a-lot of to go orders before me. There isn't parking, so order ahead! Lumpia wasn't bad.

Sugar B.

Yelp
Omg omg this is the best taste I've ever had today for lunch ordered food tru Pamilya I have there sisig bbq and pancit is the best I highly recommend this place Best pilipino comfort food
