The 38 Best Restaurants in Lima | Eater

"With its colorful floor tiles and wooden shutters on the windows, Pan Sal Aire is a charming addition to Lima’s artsy Barranco neighborhood. Shakshuka, avocado toast, and BLTs are served at breakfast, along with a large variety of house-made pastries such as cinnamon rolls, vanilla cookies, and carrot cake. Salads, pastas, and wood-fired pizzas are available at lunch and dinner. To start, order the eatery’s claim to fame, toasts topped with options like trout gravlax or watercress with honey, pear, and almonds. [$$]" - Liliana López Sorzano

This is a pleasant spot to enjoy a bite to eat and a coffee if you need a break from exploring the Barrano neighborhood. The pastries all looked good, but I went with an almond croissant. It was flaky and satisfying. It had clearly been baked very recently. The coffee was fine, but nothing special. The service was friendly, and the space was a nice spot for reading and relaxing. It is not easy to spot Pan Sal Aire from the street, but it is worth taking a look.

Very nice atmosphere and nice place to stop by when exploring Barranco. The food was good, wouldn’t say great. Loved the lemonade! Service could have been better, it was ok.

Mediocre experience at best. The place is lovely and the service was okay but the 26 soles hummus was very salty, the bread wasnt cooked in the middle, and the squash raviolis were nice but it was a small portion for the price. The best part by far was the orange iced tea. Idk what they put in there but it's amazing.

I tried this place when I visited the Barranco neighbourhood and was surprised by good number of Vegetarian options. Salad and Pizza were nice. The Mediterranean sandwich which I tried was quite flavourful but a bit oily. Chocolate tart tasted heavenly here and a must try.

I ate breakfast here based on a recommendation from a website on things to do in Barranco. The scrambled eggs on toast were fine and I had a hot chocolate with almond milk. When I paid I found it was 9 soles for the hot chocolate, as per the menu, with an additional 6 soles for the almond milk. I'm used to paying extra but that's a high percentage. I queried the excessive charge that meant I paid 15 soles for a hot chocolate but she said it was correct. I wouldn't eat here again. The baked loaves looked good so maybe just use it as a bakery.

Food was fair, on the pricier side. Shakshuka had raw eggs in it, the waffles were barely warm with meager looking fruit. Service wasn’t great. Looks like a better restaurant from afar.
