The food is great, I will be honest. It's the greatest place to get real salvadorian pastries, but what's really disappointing is the way we're treated. We came all the way from San Diego, CA. It was not an easy drive with really heavy traffic, we called in advance to make sure we'll make it on time, and we got there at 6.45pm, 15 mins before they close. I know it's kinda late and I understand an employee wanted to go home right at 7pm, but hiding behind the stand and pretending you don't see a customer is just a new level of disrespect. It's not even the fact that were treated that way, but the fact that we DID call in advance to make sure we'd be able to get what we came for ( and by the way, we drove not for 1 empanada, but for a $200 of pastries for a big family gathering). I just want an owner to know who's working for him. Cuz as a person who owns a small family restaurant myself, I would want to know if my employees treat my customers that way. Thanks everyone's for attention.
PS. Make sure you're there at least 30 mins before closing if you want to get your order.
