Google
Amazing pastry rolls! The sandwiches looked good too but it was too early for me. Got there at 6:45am and there was already a long but quick moving line-I’m guessing they seek out early. NOT OPEN ON MONDAYS even though Maps says they are

Very fresh and good food! They close at 11:30, sometimes earlier if they run out of fresh bread, meats, etc. I got a tuna sandwich, and my husband got pernil/ lechon. We also got a couple cafe con leches.

Freshly brewed coffee and freshly baked bread make the locals and a few lucky tourists in the know line up promptly after the place opens at 7am. A simple, yet plentiful selection of flat brad sandwiches and pastries is not overpriced unlike many other finer coulinary establishments on this lovely island, which makes this simple hole-in-the-wall joint a treasured discovery. Service with a smile and patience for broken Spanish or plain English is an added bonus. Directly in front of The Wave hotel, 8 min walk from the ferry towards the main street and 2 blocks from the park. Parking is tough, but cars pull onto a hotel sidewalk for a few moments on occasion. Don't expect a seat or ambiance, although a couple of tables are there. Grab your food and pop back into hotel or hit the road to your morning adventure.

Google
Bakery is a walk up window for pick up only. Food is not very good and the staff is unfriendly and takes forever. A very bare-bones establishment, also they close early at 10am

Google
They were open early when we got off of the ferry which was much appreciated. The coffee was tasty and the sugar doughnut is a must. I wish I would have tried more pastries!

Google
Loved waiting in line with the locals for donuts and sandwiches. It’s a to go place but I loved feeling like I was eating where many locals go.

Google
Great breakfast / lunch spot. They don't have breakfast sandwiches (no eggs), but our mortadella and cheddar sandwich hit the spot. We also got a donut stuff with guava cream and a small coffee. We spent less than $10 for all of it. The sandwich was a pretty big for being so cheap. The staff were very friendly and efficient. This is a great spot to stop before catching the ferry.

Yelp
One of the few places open when I visited Vieques on a Monday. Not a sit down restaurant all food is take out. Coffee and bread was great. Nothing special about sandwiches but they were good. No eggs served at all! Maybe cause of Bird flu..... who would know!

Yelp
Small panadería (bakery) right by the ferry terminal I'm Vieques. I saw this on my early walk the day before and saw a huge line of people standing in line waiting to order food so I figured I had to try it before leaving. I went this morning at 7:20- and there were 5 people ahead of me in line! I ordered a cafe con leche (coffee with milk) and doughnut and they were both good.

Yelp
One of the two bakeries in Isabel Segunda. Up the road from the ferry dock. Known for their strong coffee, donuts, and a wide selection of sandwiches, all made on their freshly baked bread. Note, they don't prepare eggs so if you want a sandwich at breakfast or just hot buttered bread and strong coffee, this is the place to go. Cash only. A few tables on the sidewalk, this is primarily a walk up to the gates window and order your food type of place. All the locals know it. If you're a tourist just off the ferry, stop by and treat yourself. You won't regret it. See my pics, taken awhile ago, but nothing has changed.

Yelp
Above average service and speed, average bread, but this walk up window gets the job done. I was conflicted between 3 and 4 stars. The coffee is good, the bread is good. The ham and cheese sandwich was just ok, and we felt the bread was the best part. Later in the week we got just buttered bread and coffee to eat on the way to snorkel, and it hit the spot. There is no seating except a few public benches near by. In general I would say grab coffee and bread to go here and you'll be happy. They also have assorted canned and bottled drinks at good prices which we tossed in our cooler for later in the day.

Yelp
*They do not serve breakfast (no eggs, no bacon)! But they have really good pork sandwiches (and others), delicious fresh baked bread, strong coffee and pretty good donuts. I bring up breakfast because they open really early and are right by the ferry terminal. I tried to order a breakfast sandwich when I arrived with no suerte. Then when I went back, I saw the sign (en Espanol) that said "no servi huevos". Good first stop to kickstart your day!!!

Yelp
Fantastic hole in the wall spot for breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and coffee needs. Hot spot for locals (for a tiny port town, there was a very consistent line outside the window!). A very short walk from the ferry terminal. Excellent quesito! Strongly recommend.

Yelp
Wow. Woow. Wooooww. Is all I can say. The food was out of sight. The prices where dead on correct. They didn't treat a local different then a tourist. This place is a total hole in the wall hidden gem. The locals know all about it. Did I say wow?

Yelp
Delicious morning pastries (5 stars) Our inn keeper suggested this place since it's within walking distance and because of their delicious pastries. While in Vieques we came to Lydia's three times, and all the pastries were delicious. Depending on what time you get there, either early in the morning for the best pickings and get in line with the locals, or later in the morning with no line but fewer options. Regardless the time, go visit this Panaderia and eat some delicious pastries. The bread is really good too. We bought some to go and ate them along the pool of our resident.

Yelp
Walk up sandwich spot. Great value, much better than many of the tourist prices. This is the local's spot. Menu board is in Spanish but staff speak English. Two tables on the sidewalk out front first come otherwise, order your food and go. Rotating specials, the Cubano was amazing.

Yelp
A wonderful place where you have to try the "quesito", a delicious puff pastry filled with cream cheese. To get it warm, show up at 8:30 as when they come out of the oven.

Yelp
I probably ordered the wrong food. Menu's in Spanish and I wasn't feeling very adventuresome in the morning. the cinnamon roll is huge, but average. The coffee was hot and average. I asked for cream and sugar and there was something off-putting about their cream. Should have tried some of the other pastries, but only went a couple times for a cup of joe.
