Start Your Next Vacation With a Food Tour | Eater

"In Miraflores, at Panchita, we knew to order the papa rellena — deep-fried potatoes stuffed with beef, onions, chiles, and cheese — based on what we learned on the food tour." - Annie Harrigan

If you want to try traditional peruvian food for turistically acceptable price, come here. Portions are huge (we three people had 4 dishes and one of them was stater, we had hard time to finish them). Quality of food is excellent. If you are looking for posh fine dining, I would recommend other places. But if you want to have casual conversation with moderate noise (which in Peru is low noise, to be frank 😀) and very good food of generous portions i would come here again. We were fine with seating at the bar, but if you want a table, I strongly recommend to make reservation in advance.

I've been here twice, and I would definitely go back. The portions are generous, and the taste is a solid 10 out of 10. If you want to try authentic Peruvian food, this is definitely the spot. I would suggest making reservations, as this place is always really busy. My favorite plate is for sure the lomo saltado!!

Huge servings for mains, this restaurant may be better fit for large parties sharing and trying different dishes. Regardless, we greatly enjoyed the arroz don jose and aji gallina. Also loved the tart limonada.

We had 4 dishes. One was good, 3 were average. We had huge expectations and were disappointed. Server was good, but all recommendations were a miss. We had lamb that tasted more like a chicken. Pork was interesting but way too fatty. Desert was too dry. Only liver was great. We spent 352 Sol, I can say it was that good for this price. I think this place is overrated.

First time in Lima and blown away by the amazing service and delicious flavours! the lima ceviche was a special experience, crunchy, chewy, spicy, sour and sweet from the sweet potato. The Lomo Soltado was delicious too! Would definitely return.

I had a wonderful Saturday night thanks to our waiter, Alexander and the host (I didn’t have chance to get her name but she very SWEET person) both of them provided excellent, attentive service that made mu experience top-notch. The food was incredible, the lomo saltado is a must-order! Paired with a perfectly made pisco sour(5 stars, the BEST so far), it was the perfect meal. Highly recommend!

We have good time and good food. Everything is great. But at the end Felix , our server , show us the bill and said service charge not included. But in the bill it said IGV 18% and something else 6%. (Which I use google translate and it said service charge). And he said 20% service charge is acceptable. We think it’s too much but thought it’s a common practice. The next day , we check with friend , they said 10% is enough. And if the 6% in the bill is the service charge included. We really feel bad for tricking us like this. My point is just to warn others about service charge.

Really liked the food here — super tasty and flavorful! The place does get kinda noisy, but overall it’s a great spot to eat and enjoy local dishes.
