The taco salads are huge and very tasty. The salsa was very cilantro based and can be off putting. My wife loved her margarita. The service was fantastic. This restaurant has been a staple in Stow for a very long time

Google
My coworker and I decided to give the restaurant a try while traveling for work. The chips and salsa were great. We were both excited to try a combo plate that included the tamale. It was very disappointing. The beef burrito was simply a flour tortilla filled with very dry ground beef that seemed to be overly seasoned with taco seasoning. The tamale was good, but the lack of sauce on the food made it mediocre at best. The chicken enchilada lacked flavor. The queso was okay, but seemed like something from a jar and not the typical white queso most Mexican restaurants serve. Overall, we both left disappointed and unsatisfied.

Google
We really like Pancho and Lefty's because the food is spiced mildly, and my husband is able to eat it. You get seasoned taco chips and salsa right away. If you want a large taco salad, the dinner size is for you! You could share it between 3 people. My only criticism of it is that it is " dry", but adding a side of salsa fixed that right up. My husband chose the Armadillo Plate. He was able to substitute the hard taco for a soft one. A lot of people bring their kids there, because the food is mild. It is a good place for groups, but call ahead. There is a bar and outdoor seating. The parking is not as good as it could be so for dinner you should get there about 4:15. There are a couple af handicapped parking spots.

Great little Mexican place in the heart of Stow! I have to admit it’s been awhile since I’ve been here, but I’ll definitely come back more often! I got the quesadilla And a soft taco, both were delicious! The chips and dip they give you were also wonderful … the dip was nice And chunky, always a plus. The server was great, answered a few questions and got our food out fast. They decorated the place for the holidays so well, that’s the only thing I took pictures of!

Google
Good food, great service, solid margs! Loved the seasoned chips. The queso fundido was yummy. Better than other mexican restaurants in the area.

Google
Perfect! The tortilla soup is so flavorful! Perfect place to stop for lunch.

Google
We were here for the 1st time this weekend and there is much better Mexican in Stow. My husband got the nachos and a burrito, which he seemed to like. I got the enchiladas and they were just OK. They actually tasted exactly like mine. Which I like mine but if I’m eating at a Mexican restaurant, I want more authentic. I’m almost positive the enchilada sauce is the same exact canned stuff I buy at Giant Eagle. Our server was great and the restaurant decor was good. However if you want good food that doesn’t taste like you can make it yourself, pass on this place.

Google
I absolutely adore this little gem. We have had Stanislava as a server twice now and she was a phenomenal server. She made great recommendations and is so kind and lovely overall. I would recommend Pancho and Lefty’s to anyone who asked!!

Yelp
A pleasant atmosphere, a polite and efficient staff, and very good food. This is truly a local gem!

Yelp
Love this place. The food is great and the service and owner are always welcoming. I mostly get take out and have tried most things on the menu. I would highly recommend ordering from here.

Angela C.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! The food is so delicious and the portions are huge. We went for lunch and I still brought half of my meal home. Our waitress Sarah was amazing; she was so attentive and SO pleasant! The atmosphere is pleasant and not cheesy.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls. By the entrance is a small bar and dining area is off to the left. Festive decor and tables. Intimately light at dinner time, the place has a friendly vibe as did our server, who appeared just the right amount of times. The food was delicious. They brought chips and fresh salsa gratis to each table - not always available these days at Tex Mex/Mexican restaurants. I loved the Pollo con Crema - what a delicious sauce and tender chicken. Friends had fajitas and taco salad. All dishes were nicely plated and tasty. I'd definitely eat there again.

Yelp
The best. Mexican Restaurant in stow. We are there weekly, food, service, quantity, price are top of the line Cleanliness is always top as well as the owner and his wife.waitresses are Excellant especially young blond Kent univ student that has been there for the past two years. She deserves a raise!ll

Yelp
I wanted to start off saying that the staff was very friendly, and the place is clean. As for the food, it's Mexican in name only. It's closer to Tex-Mex food. Monterey-Jack cheese isn't Mexican, and the rice and beans could use more flavor. It's ok for American style Mexican. The portions seemed small for the price as well.

Yelp
Stopped in at Pancho & Lefty's for a quick dinner after stopping at Fawn & Fancy for the Yelp Elite Event. P&L is located in a free standing building on Kent Road just West of Darrow Road in Stow. Parking is in the back and side with a patio and the entrance in the front. Once you get inside there is a small bar and a medium sized dining room, in which the tables have been spread apart and plexiglass partitions have been added. The room is dim and the decor features some pops of brighter colors, overall relaxed and nice. The menu is extensive and takes a bit of a different approach then many Mexican restaurants, I ordered one of my favorites the Chile Rellenos dinner. Service was good. The chips and salsa were average at best, with the chips cold and over seasoned, the salsa was a bit bland and could have used a hit of heat to wake it up. The rellenos dinner came out with everything covered by cheese. The peppers were underwhelming, with too much batter and not enough cheese in the middle and no spice at all. The refried beans and rice were good . Overall a decent meal, but nothing memorable or craveable. Pancho & Lefty's seems like a cool place, always like to support independent restaurants. The set up is nice and they seem to take their own approach to the food. Unfortunately for my tastes the food was just decent, I wish they would be a little more daring and flavorful. Of course your results may vary.

Yelp
This was great! This is firmly on the Tex Mex side of the things, and the menu is different from what you'd expect from a typical Mexican joint. For example, there are a lot of appetizers on the menu, burgers, and wraps in addition to the fare you'd expect. My boyfriend had one of the combo platters with rice, beans, a burrito, an enchilada, and a tamale. All were tasty. My meal, though, was even better. I had the pollo con crema. It was a mountain of chicken with grilled vegetables in a creamy sauce. We also enjoyed the seasoned chips and queso dip to start. Normally I find white cheese dip bland, but I appreciated the addition of green chilies here. We shared a pitcher of pomegranate margaritas, and I appreciated that they didn't taste overly sweet with artificial mix. All-in-all, I will definitely return to Pancho & Lefty's to try some of their other dishes.

Yelp
Great ambiance, great service, great food, seasonal outside dining They make great margaritas!!

Robert N.

Yelp
4% credit card fee. Negra Modelo was nice and cold. Food was ok. Salsa and chips not as good as they usually are.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
I wasn't crazy about this place. Tasted kind of bland. Felt like the tacos needed an extra something. I got the grilled / blackened white fish tacos which is kind of spicy and dry tasting. Apparently the fries beans have milk in them so they gave me black beans. Rice and chips tasted good, although my sister didn't care for the chips. The atmosphere is a little off since it's such a small place, the bar is small, the tables are small, I don't think they had any music playing or outdoor seating. I could probably live without this place. Also my sister was telling me this isn't a mexican owned business, I'm not quite sure, but gives me mixed feelings.

Yelp
I moved to Cleveland area two years ago from Las Vegas and have been searching for good Mexican food. Finally found it at Pancho and Leftys. I got the street tacos and they were so damn good. My husband loved his enchiladas. Margaritas delicious. We're about a 30 minute drive from this place and will gladly make the drive. Came in on a Friday night and it was super busy but we got seated quickly and service was attentive.

Yelp
Went there for my birthday and as always food was really good! Loved the fried ice cream they give you on your birthday! Naturally I forgot to take pics I was too busy stuffing my face lol.

Yelp
Excellent Mexican restaurant in Stow! The menu offers a variety of food for everyone. Fast service, and the food is tasty. I'veaten here several times over the last three years and have enjoyed the restaurant and the food every time. Even with COVID-19, they have done a great job adapting, and their pickup service has been excellent. Every order, no matter the size (two meals or six), has been correct and still hot when I pick up my order.

Charise R.

Yelp
Food was horrible, service wasn't any better. I'll never go here again!!!! Ambiance was ok very small restaurant.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
Tonight was very busy so it might not have been the beat night for an initial visit. The margaritas were great with lots of delicious flavors to choose from. The food may have been under a heat lamp for a while because it "died"....weird crust film on certain things and dried up sopas.
google avatar

Kate K.

Yelp
Look, I was skeptical. Good Mexican food in Stow, OH? Yeah, unlikely. But I was wrong. I was so wrong. Pacho & Lefty's is, frankly, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. It beats out big-city food on the East Coast & even in Texas. Pancho & Lefty's knows Mexican food. Theirs is authentic - & delicious. I went with the tacos - three for just $10, including rice & beans on the side - & couldn't decide which to choose. They all sounded good, but then again, if done incorrectly, they all could've been bad. I've had some not-so-good tacos in my time. But I settled on two pork al pastor tacos (pork with pineapple) & one chorizo, & I hoped for the best. I needn't have worried. Truly, these are the best tacos I think I've ever had, & I eat/make a lot of tacos. They were juicy & flavorful, not greasy, & the corn tortillas were thick & soft, but sturdy enough to keep from falling apart when I picked them up. Needless to say, I inhaled them. Don't eat too much of the chips & salsa, tempting though it may be (& delicious though they are). You're going to want to leave plenty of room for your main course! You're almost guaranteed to leave full & happy.

Yelp
Heard about this place a few years ago, and I am sorry to say it took me so long to eat here. The food was moderately priced, and it was very tasty. The portions are large as you would expect and my wife said the margaritas were very good. They have a lot of flavors for the margaritas. My wife had raspberry, and blackberry.
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
We love this little Mexican restaurant. The chips and queso are to die for. I don't know what they put on their chips but they are my favorite anywhere. The decor is welcoming and fun. And they have the best margaritas. I want to give a shout out to our waitress, Melina. She was on top of things and checked on us several times. She was great!!
google avatar

Lindsay C.

Yelp
I am so torn. I love the location, people, and atmosphere, but the food isn't that good...it has zero flavor. I keep giving it chances, and probably won't stop going because it's so close to my home, but there's better Mexican in Stow.

Charlotte H.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Order was to go and was perfect. Chip and Salsa good Tamales excellent Enchiladas fabulous- kid friendly Fiesta ranch amazing Cannot wait til patio opens.
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
my son and I decided to give them one more chance as the food was not that great the 1st time. We had a great waitress who was attentive with the drinks and with son ordering Steak Taco's and wanting fry's rather than the rice and beans. Huge portions. I had ordered cheese and onion burrito and shredded beef which had a nice spice. I had requested double order of rice minus the beans. We will be back for sure.
google avatar

Nancy B.

Yelp
Take out Review - easy order process, plethora of sauces, could have used some refinement. We ordered the appetizer sampler and a shredded beef burrito and it was more than enough for 2 people with burrito left over. Spice on the chips couldn't be identified and wasn't enjoyable... the salsa had no spice or flavor to save the chips. The appetizers held up well to the 5 mile trip home and were till warm. Guacamole was flavorful and the cheese whiz... was.. well... whiz. The burrito was hard to cut even with our steak knives and the tablespoon of shredded lettuce and diced tomato was disappointing. I would order take out again... and ask them to leave off the chips... and add lettuce and tomato... but would definitely return.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Will not be back. Went there today with my son for lunch, apparently they couldn't find a wait staff person because some woman had to ask us what we wanted to drink - she seemed like she was put out. Then they seated two other couples, while we waited. Bussed a table, and had what i think was a 12 year old bring us our beverages. Still never got waited on. And there was only ONE other table occupied at present! No acknowledgement, no explanation, just staff walking past and ignoring us. This is what happens when gringos run a Mexican restaurant. I'm going back to La Loma - real Mexican food run by Mexicans!
google avatar

Tehya M.

Yelp
Most authentic mexican I've had in a while! These chips and salsa are to DIE FOR!! We got regular and coconut margaritas and they were delicious! I got the chicken con creama and the sauce came out a little thicker than I expected but was good nonetheless! Our waitress was super nice and friendly! Will definitely be coming back!!
google avatar

Natalie F.

Yelp
Best authentic Mexican food around! Nice atmosphere, excellent service & tasty margaritas.
google avatar

Yelp
Pancho & Lefty's delivers consistent fresh quality. Small and friendly setting. P&L's delivers 5 stars on a mom & pop level, not a Fleming's or Red level, because the setting and prices are family owned casual dining experience. My family and I always look forward to lunches or dinners at Pancho & Lefty's.

Staci G.

Yelp
Best taco salads around! Owners are super nice & food is great! Love their chips & salsa & friendly staff.
google avatar

Heather W.

Yelp
This is our go-to for Mexican night. Good portions and we love their salsa. Can be crowded but it's a fun mom and pop operation, so plan accordingly. Staff have always been attentive and friendly.
google avatar

Nacho J.

Yelp
My first time the wife's second. Service was great at the bar. Had a couple iced teas chips and salsa. The tequila lime chicken is great. Great spices and tender. The spices barbecued rib appetizer is tender and delicious. The queso fundido tasted good but almost immediately turned into a hard hunk of cheese. 'pretty sure that was not the correct kind of cheese to use in that dish. Anyway the prices are reasonable, the food was mostly great. Service excellent. We will be back. I recommend it.
google avatar

Krista-Leo C.

Yelp
One of the best Mexican places. Salsa is great and chips. Great portions. Very small place and cramped .
google avatar

Missy M.

Yelp
I crave the Mexican pizza with chorizo. Soooo delicious. The seasoning on the chips is great, too.

Chelsea K.

Yelp
Food is good but we've been ordering takeout since COVID. Every time we order the order is wrong. Last time I got no tortillas or the toppings for my fajitas. Literally just the meat and veggies. I understand once maybe but trying to support a local business and the orders keep getting messed up.
google avatar

E B.

Yelp
I used to love this place and have been going for years. Thought the other reviews about getting sick were bunk - that is until tonight... Ordered a shredded beef grande burrito and a couple hours after getting home I was projectile vomiting. I almost never feel this way and only ate one other thing all day. Very healthy person. Food poisoning I am sure of it. Frankly I am pissed. It's a work night and I just don't have the time to be awake and seeing dinner a second time tonight. I'm a busy corporate type guy and just can't. Near decade long patron - done. Heed the warnings of other reviews regarding sickness/food poisoning. I thought it was a joke or weak stomachs but it's no joke. I'd love to blame it on something or someplace else I really really would but I know what I've had today and can't escape fact. Now that it's out of me I feel just fine. Funny how the body gives you clues yeah?
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
I'd describe it as a "can't go wrong" Mexican place in Stow. Nothing amazing, but everything was good. I really liked the complimentary salsa, and also got an order of queso that was good. I got a traditional margarita and hot damn was there a lot of tequila in there. It tasted like straight tequila. It was better after I squeezed two limes into it, but maybe go easy on the tequila or add more flavor next time :) I also got the tacos dinner (one of each of the chicken, pulled beef, grounded beef), all good, nothing out of this world though. Overall, nice local place with a smaller menu than most Mexican places, which is A GOOD THING (sometimes Mexican places have like 11 page menus with the same thing over and over again). I'd recommend and try it again :)
google avatar

Olivia A.

Yelp
I love Pancho & Lefty's. I went here on National Margarita Day (which was also Margarita Monday for them). The margaritas kept flowing and the food was delicious. You have to wait a little while, but it's usually less time than they actually tell you initially. It was a little loud in there, but it was fine for me and my cousin. Service is also great, and they really stay on top of things, no matter how busy it is in the restaurant. It's a true Stow treasure.
google avatar

Abigail S.

Yelp
So if you don't really like Mexican food this is the place to go. So bland and flavorless. Seriously can't emphasize enough how disappointing it was. Tasted like just a boring ol' burrito that I could have made at home. Got the seasonal veggie burrito that said in the menu "grilled peppers and onions with seasonal veggies" and that's all it was really was peppers and onions with two tiny pieces of squash and two carrot coins. The chips tasted like they were fried in old rancid oil, and the sodas claim to be brand name (Coke) in the menu but when asked what kind of rootbeer the answer was "generic" so my date opted to have "mellow yellow" instead and the response was "well that's generic too, it's mountain mist". The food was so gross, ugh, just had to say it again.
google avatar

Vicky D.

Yelp
Great local Mexican restaurant. Margarita Monday's are such a deal here. My favorite is the pineapple one but my husband likes the grape. The traditional tacos are my favorite. You can have them with shrimp too even though it isn't on the menu.

Bill K.

Yelp
This has been one our go-to places for good Mexican food in Stow. As my previous review said the ambience is really nice since their remodeling. Unfortunately on our last 2 visits the food has been less than what we've come to expect. The Mrs. got a salad with mushy cucumbers and brown lettuce. I ordered 1 chicken and 1 ground beef enchiladas, but got 2 mushy enchiladas, neither of which had meat in them. I'm really hoping when we give it one more try the food will be improved.
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
I have wanted to try P&L for so long but always forget about this little watering hole! I finally got to try it and felt very underwhelmed. The drinks were OK - I'm not one for a flavored fruity margarita, but if you are into it there appear to be a lot of options. The marg was a little sweet, under tequila-d, and not worth a second one, so I switched to some Mexican beer. The chips were seasoned, which usually would have excited me for being different, but they tasted burned and blah. The salsa also had little kick or flavor, I was le disappointed. The food was good - but not memorable. I had the tacos which were nice and large and stuffed. The quesadilla seemed a bit disappointing. All in all, its small and there is often a bit of a wait - and it is not worth it. For some OK food though, it is not a bad option.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
This is can't miss Mexican. Great salsa and chips, margaritas and the usual nachos, tacos, enchiladas etc. good salads, very good soups, attentive and quick service, friendly people. A happy place that sells great food at reasonable prices.
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
Service was great! Chips were alright (just tortilla chips with taco seasoning sprinkled on). Salsa was boring. Tampico Enchilada was decent. The shrimp on top was good. The flaked seafood option was lobster I believe. It was okay. The Tampico sauce was tasty. The presentation on the plate was very good. See the attached picture.
google avatar

Lindsey W.

Yelp
As Kate B said in her review, I was skeptical of this place. I am not a fan of most Mexican places around here because they all taste very similar to one another. Rice, beans, cheese, protein, tortilla. Hardly noticeable differences in recipes. This place, though...this place is legit. First of all, the chips and salsa are the best I've ever had at a restaurant. The chips have a smoky seasoning and just enough salt, and the salsa is extremely fresh. I need to practice a lot of self-control around these, because the serving staff will keep refilling until your heart is content. Hopefully you don't fill up on the chips and salsa, because the entrees are also delicious. I am partial to the traditional tacos, specifically the barbacoa beef. The tortillas are phenomenal, the seasoning on the meat is perfect, and the rice and beans are great every single time. Everything here tastes like someone's abuela is in the kitchen, cooking for her family. One small heads up - the waiting area is almost non-existent. It's difficult to manage waiting with more than one other person during busy hours. But do yourself the favor and wait, even if you have to keep shifting around. It's so worth it.
google avatar

Nathan A.

Yelp
First off,Poncho and Leftys has been a family staple for my entire life. I go there about once a week. Renee the owner is a great guy and extremely down to earth. He hires only the best and most friendly of staff. I have never gone there and been disappointed with the service. Enough of that. The food is absolutely great. It is not super fancy or anything, but the portions are large and everything comes with free chips and salsa. My favorite items are the green burrito and tequila lime chicken. With that everything is great. I would recommend it to anyone in the Stow-Kent area.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
This is our favorite place to eat. The food is really good and the staff is super friendly. You can order anything on the menu and love it. The waitresses remember our orders from the previous visits and ask if we want the same - how can you beat that? The bar / waiting area is a little small but you won't be waiting there long - they get you seated super fast. The prices for authentic Mexican food is great.

Tessa H.

Yelp
If you are into great Mexican food, I recommend this place. Small place, but very clean and proffessional . Food is amazing! Service is great, food doesn't take long, and very great food. Employees are very nice. I have not had a bad experience here, so I recommend!
google avatar

Hannah T.

Yelp
I so badly wish I could like this place but I just can't. The menu is so bland and their margaritas taste very watered down. It's within walking distance to my house so we've tried it several times, hoping for better every time and we're let down. Please update your menu!!!
google avatar

Zach H.

Yelp
Best margaritas around, the food is also great. The owner seems to always be there and he make every person that walks through the door feel very welcome. They have over 10 different flavored margaritas, and you can mix and match flavors. They also have a huge selection of great tequilas. If your looking for a great Mexican restaurant go see ponchos!!!
