Panchos Taqueria Review - Atlantic City - The Infatuation

"Don’t let Pancho’s Taqueria get overshadowed by its next-door neighbor, White House Subs—this taco spot is worth going out of your way for the tender chunks of beef tucked into homemade tortillas. Snag one of the few wooden tables, or take a seat at the tiled bar where you can watch your tortillas toast up on the plancha. It’s an ideal spot for a pit stop when you’re waiting to check into your hotel or if you’re morally opposed to spending triple digits on dinner before a show at the Hard Rock. Get multiple orders of tacos so you can taste both the suadero and al pastor, and always add on some enchiladas that come napping in a warm blanket of mole." - Anne Cruz

Normally a family favorite went there thinking that it sounded good. Ordered a Chilie relleno burrito and it was stuffed with bread. The rolled chicken tacos tasted like boiled chicken in a corn shell (no flavor) When I called to ask about it I was told they only use 1 chilie. I asked how does that explain the bread and he said I don’t know. Safe to say I do not recommend this location and am sad I wasted my money.

I really like the food at this place, that's why I'm a regular customer, but today I was very disappointed with the food. I found a metal part that was somewhat uncomfortable and also a bit dangerous. I would be delighted if the people in charge of cleaning the utensils were more careful.

We enjoyed the fish tacos, fried tacos, and the chips with guacamole and cheese tonight. Food was excellent, though not cheap. Really enjoyed the flavor of the chips. Also can recommend either the red or the green salsa. Everything tasted very fresh.

Went on their first day open, drive thru took 30 minutes. Food was fresh and service was friendly. Carnita taco was loaded and good portion, nice crunch on the carnitas. Food was made fresh but flavors were average, nothing over the top. Good for fast food drive thru Mexican food.

Check your change carefully if you're buying in cash. This location gave me a false bill and then when I confronted them they admitted it was a "problem" as in it happened regularly. They then promised to refund me, I waited while they "looked through camera records". It turns out they had just called the cops to try to move the blame further down hill. They lied directly to my face and held me there until I was forced to acquit myself to the cops. All this and I litterally was just doing them a favor and letting them know they were passing fake bills! I didnt even ask for a refund. This is litterally the slimyest place I have ever done business with. If they operate on that level of integrity and treat customers like that, I would be worried about my food as well as my money. Ps this is the first negative review I have EVER written.

If you can drain the grease off your food, it's really good. But the grease is so prevalent it's like an ingredient all it's own. Bring a roll of paper towels you'll need it. Plus during my 10 minute wait in drive thru, I was able to have ringside seats to the 2 young men behind the counter having a slap boxing match. However entertaining, not professional at all and not 100% sure that wasn't part of the reason I had to wait so long on the daily special that I ordered. I can go to taco bell and get better food, much faster, and have a much more engaging window person. Do not recommend. Only reason for 2 stars is because the food is decent if you can drain the grease.

We had ordered the quesabirria tacos and they gave us regular birria tacos. We said maybe we didn’t say it right so we went back and ordered quesabirrira again. They gave us regular birria tacos with cheese on them the proportion we bad too a lot of onion and not enough meat. Quessa birria tacos don’t have a lot of onion or cilantro and usually when we order from here they don’t have any at all. You pay money for food you like and today we did not like what we paid for. PS overall quality of the tacos we received were like a 3/10 stale tortillas and a lot of fat on couple tacos.

Google
I am extremely disappointed with the quantity of food I paid for!! Normally, when I go there, I order the ranchero with extra extra jalapeño, and the burrito is full! Almost busting at the Seems.. Today there was barely enough meat and vegetables in it to feed a small child I could fold that burrito four times. I paid $16.! Something has happened in the last six months with ponchos. I guess from here on out I’ll get my burrito fixed from Abelard’s!!! I wanted to keep my loyalty to ponchos, but I guess it’s time to let go

Yelp
The birria rolled tacos are crave worthy!! Next time I will try their regular birria tacos. I'm also not a big fan of normal Churros, but their Raspberry Churros I will be back for!!

Yelp
They charge EXTRA FEES, and they tried to poison me by giving me something I'm HIGHLY ALLREGIC TO. I'm allergic to meat! This is not the first time this has happened !!
