The 13 Best Cookies In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"We’ve regretted a lot of gas station cookies, but not these. Zooies’ storefront is inside a Culver City gas station with a menu of nearly 50 cookies—some have kooky names that sound like characters from Cocomelon (chewie, gooie, mooie), and others are topped with pistachios, cream cheese frosting, or apple slices. Picking one out of the bunch is like taking a personality quiz, but our favorite is the Panda, a must for Oreo lovers—it’s studded with melty white chocolate chips and crushed up cookie bits." - cathy park

Google
Literally the BEST LOCATION ever!!! I am not a paid actor, I came in really late right before closing and the manager still made my fresh Honey Sesame Chicken. The kindest act ever!! That's over the top customer service. You were tired and about to close, but decided to help me anyway! Means a lot! Thanks Frida and Manuel!! You are awesome!!

Mr. Diamond M.

Google
Panda Express Has Wok Fired Shrimp On The Menu. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Vegetables & Shrimp With A Little Spice Added. Eye Order Double Rice And Double Wok Fried Shrimp & Mix It All Together 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Highly Recommended.

Allahverdi S.

Google
Frida, the employee, is extremely rude and speaks harshly to customers. I witnessed this toward me and several other customers. She insults people, and when you ask her something, she doesn’t respond like a normal human being. Even if she behaves like an animal herself, that doesn’t mean she should treat customers in an animalistic way. Management definitely needs to address this. People do not want to experience rude behavior from anyone in a place where they eat!

Shannon T.

Google
Manager 100% Chefs 100% Francis 100% Ana shows room for growth simply because during discomfort she neglected the needs of one customer to service another. Her overall communication (eye contact l, body language, verbal...) was extremely poor, and though I see potential she needs to perfect and practice professionalism. I've been to Panda Express where the girls have their ribbons in their hair, eyes bright, teeth showing with beautiful welcoming smiles. The thing about Customer Service is you never know who you're encountering, therefore you as a professional should always be intentional about making sure their experience with you is a good one. Why argue😌 It's easier to fulfill a customers request than to create an uncomfortable environment - it's not worth it Ana. If the customer is paying it's best to honor their request for fresh food. I still gave the restaurant a 5 Star ✨ with good faith that they'll continue to train our younger generation as they continue to evolve as a team that represents a phenomenal company.

This Panda Express as soon as you open the door you smoke delicious Orange chicken from beyond meat. The taste of the eggplant tofu was so delicious I turned around and had to go in the bathroom and slap myself. 🤗 I'm still learning to enjoy the smell of Panda Express food they seem like they added more food to the menu. It makes you feel as if there's a buffet style kind of meal to eat but I think the buffets see how delicious the food is so they can be more tempted to buy more food. I love when commercial companies decide to think about their customers and put huge balls of stainless steel food with a glass barrier to protect and tantalize their customers. If you've never eaten Panda Express version of Chinese food you haven't eaten Chinese food in America. Panda Express is starting to be the cliche Chinese food in America you think it's commercialized but it's not. This Panda Express seems multicultural although there aren't any Chinese people cooking the food or Japanese it still seems as this everyone ethnic background is there helping us cook the food. I love their the waiters red and black uniforms. also it's in the same parking lot as a Ralph's so you won't miss it it's all the way in the back. The food was fantastic it's really made for like a lunch or dinner. Sitting down was a joy to as well people are very quiet and to themselves and they eat and enjoy their food.

Vokhid N.

Google
I usually enjoy Panda Express, but this location was disappointing. The ingredients didn’t taste as fresh or well-prepared as in other restaurants. Something was definitely off with the flavor — it just wasn’t good this time. Not coming back to this one.

Tony R.

Google
I was about to spend $20 behind someone that was about to spend 40 and I noticed he walked out because they were giving very little rice and chow mein and then when I try to get my $20 worth of food they did the same to me I just feel like the cooks. Don’t like to cook or the manager is just lazy because the manager thought it’s acceptable as well

william B.

Google
I ordered double teriyaki and super greens and this is what I found halfway through my plate!!
google avatar

Jasmine W.

Yelp
I love this location. The food is always fresh and the staff is so friendly five stars specifically for the staff! Restaurant is always clean, trays are always full, and they're constantly making fresh food. I have even ordered delivery through DoorDash and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend this location.

Kade D.

Yelp
Ive been to this location about 10times this month(i just started working near by). I usually order 2-3 plates for my co workers. It feels like 50% lof the time they miss something on the order and i have to go back to get it fixed. At this point i dont think ill make the drive there again, Update: i went back a couple years after my last review. This is the fattiest most tendon filled teriyaki chicken ive ever seen/had. I dont even think its chicken, it CANT be. Absolutely disgusting. (The staff was nice and did good) this only falls on corporate being cheap anyway possible to make an extra dollar, at our expense. (This is the only review i have ever written that isnt 5star, they suck so bad they got a 1star twice!)
google avatar

Doreen M.

Yelp
The last 2 times I went, they cut the veggies so big I either got NO MEAT or meat was like 5-10% of my dish. I always get kung pao chicken and mushroom chicken. They cut the meat to the size of small marbles or smaller and the veggies are the size of 2 Starbursts so only veggies fit in their spoon/scooper utensil. I went 6 months or more apart. I will prob stop coming here completely. Not worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
If you crave Panda but have been deeply disappointed with the quality lately, let me just say this place is doing things right! Best Panda Express within 10 miles! I am impressed. It's clean. The staff is professional, the very best! The food was delicious. I love orange chicken, with chow mein but everywhere else I go, I always get hard, dry, cold, stale food. Ugh! The food here looked as good as it tasted. This definitely reflects good management and teamwork. Not only will I return, but I will be telling all my friends that Panda Express is still well and good! hehe Thank you for the good food and awesome service

Ree

Yelp
Zero stars!!! Fridas hair fell into the food and she just mixed it in with the kung pao chicken. Disgusting. Something is wrong with her and she should be fired or go get food health service training. Plus they had a kid walking on the table where food was
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Love the Chowmein and Beijing Beef here is FIRE. I ordered some lunch here with my crew, and that is what we ate for lunch. I also love their Butterfly Honey Shrimp with Chowmein or rice. Service was good. No complaints at all.
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
1. Service hours as great by the guys but the young women here have major tude. No need ladies it's all love. Be thankful jobs are hard to come by rn. 2. Parking is easy breezy as it is in a Ralph's grocery store lot. 3. Ambience is chill with lots of seating and minimal customers. My only issue was the cleaning while you're eating. Not a fan. Understand they're trying to leave asap after closing and that they're trying to keep it clean for customers, but when you're wiping windows in my face as I'm eating it ruins the whole vibe. 4. Food late night was as normal with most locations. Less fresh and you get what they have. Got the bourbon spicy chicken. Flavor is ok and yes it's a little spicy but the chicken is tiny and the breading is a lot. The chow mein and rice was normal late night dry. Probably won't be back.

Rich T.

Yelp
PASS !1 orange chicken was hard as a rock beef and broccoli was raw very disappointed over all.

Alice P.

Yelp
Just purchased some delicious food. I ordered Honey walnut shrimp, teriyaki, white rice, and noodles. When I open my food, I noticed that I was missing the teriyaki. And mind you I'm starving, arriving from work, and just wanted to eat my food. Customer service was terrible, cashier didn't know what she was doing at all.

Espie P.

Yelp
For me not healthy but I like their chow mein & Kung pow chicken. It's good if you want a fast meal.
google avatar

Cassandra K.

Yelp
Greeted when you walk in. The food was pretty good. It's very crowded and stays busy. I would recommend this place

Brad M.

Yelp
Lots of people, but the line move fast ordered two biggie plates, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, orange chicken, green bean chicken. Everything was great tasty they were redoing the asphalt, but still made it in there to get our food.

Jack P.

Yelp
Workers are pretty mean especially the lady that turns off the foundation drink after I got a medium cup guys are cool turned it on for me after maybe 3-4 minutes of stand there wondering if i was a online order its nice and clam especially the area no homeless no point of turning off the foundation drink

Paul K.

Yelp
Honestly, couldn't be less helpful if they tried. Norberto the manager seems intent on annoying customers. Also complete chaos on a Wednesday night...
google avatar

Sean E.

Yelp
just popped in for some Chinese as I came outta Ralph's, my stomach was growling and they usually hit it the spot. I got mine to go This wasn't the usual orange chicken or something. It just taste a little dry tonight. The green bean chicken on the other hand was as usual " the BOMB.
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
Well, I decided to come here after probably three or four years of not going to panda due to the lack of quality, and I wanted to try a sample of the honey walnut shrimp because I was considering buying it. However, I've come to find they no longer give out samples. How am I supposed to know if I want to get a meal from you if I don't know what the food taste like?? This is no way to get customers back. I'll tell you that. I walked out and I'll go somewhere else and maybe I'll try again in four more years if I'm still alive. Good luck staying in business with those prices.

Ale W.

Yelp
Food tastes like lighter fluid...idk why but I can eat from this location. Bourbon chicken and the orange chicken.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
Usually Panda provides decent food and service. I am visiting this location for the first time. I went there only because there were not many affordable lunch options around and Panda is not my number one pick. But oh well. So the chow mein was slightly burned and had that smell. Also there were few inedible chunks of cabbage and onions. Like they take the entire cabbage and slice it from top to the bottom avoiding inedible parts lol. Overall I got rid of my hunger but next time I will think twice about going there
google avatar

Peijean T.

Yelp
The food is consistent in quality and the staff are always very friendly, even late at night right before closing time. I appreciate that they let me sample items too before committing. As school has been getting busier, I've found myself coming here more often for a 2- or 3-item combo for a quick no-fuss dinner in a box. I'm pleased that Panda Express has gotten better from many years ago. There are more healthy options, not just orange chicken and broccoli beef. I like the string bean chicken, and the chicken with zucchini, which are a lot lighter in calories. Also, I like that you can do vegetables as your base instead of stir-fried rice or noodles; you can also do half and half. For people who think Panda Express is not real Chinese food, they are wrong. It is not the same as going to a full, sit down Chinese restaurant or a Sam Woo express counter, and you shouldn't compare it to that. It is a solid Chinese fast casual meal that actually feels healthier to eat, especially if you pick lower calorie items. TIP: you can currently get one free entree (including the premium dishes like walnut shrimp, wow!) on your next visit by filling out the survey on your receipt and ordering a 2-item combo next time.

Nairrita M.

Yelp
Good portion sizes. The employees are nice. The interior could be a bit cleaner. They always bring out hot food before it gets empty so that's good. Overall good food for the price.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite location as I find the food to be better then some of the other locations, Ok so we went there an hour ago and they are practicing really good social distance policies , you go in one door , order then go outside until the food is ready then pick it up at the other entrance. Fine, good policy . Here's my problem.. we walk in and there is literally no one outside waiting to get in behind us.. immediately the girl taking our order asked " what can I get for you " or (" can I help you ?) I was looking at the menu trying to decide as they were out of many option which was odd but ok whatever.. I felt so rushed! I mean she had no where to be and no one else to wait on but super impatient, 3 seconds pass and she says plate or bowl ? This felt incredibly uncomfortable with so much pressure , and she wasn't friendly at all. Things are awkward enough right now with the new "new" no need to make things worse. Felt like zombie apocalypse. Place is clean . Food was delicious but service could be stepped up for sure !
google avatar

Jeff T.

Yelp
A popular spot during peak rush hour times, making the food especially fresh during those times. Orange chicken was supposedly created by Panda Express, yummy. The Kung Pao chicken is surprisingly authentic. The Beijing Beef is a good chewy and spiciness level. BOGO deals are worth it!

Ralf G.

Yelp
Cashier does not know how to pay attention to details she handed me someone else plate, and gave the lady before my plate and the lady after me got someone else plate.
google avatar

H T.

Yelp
I pay extra for shrimp and I get half container!!! WTF! And the icing is that I had to wait over 15 mins more to get my order!
google avatar

Er3yn G.

Yelp
Long line but they have this down well. Happy with the customer service, i saw fresh food constantly coming out. Love that I can sample things. It's tasty, quick, and affordable. Favorite thing about this chain (WHICH EVERYONE SHOULD DO): round up the total amount to a whole number and donate the change to charity. I always do and that stuff really adds up!

Daniel S.

Yelp
I order through the app and paid ahead of time for a future order to be picked up at 11pm for my lunch break when I got there with my confirmation code the manager had gave my plate away to another customer how does that happen afterwards she's like if you want to wait 15 min you can or else I can give you you money back with a really bad attitude
google avatar

Maite M.

Yelp
I visited this location for the first time last week and was very happy with my experience. I ordered 2 Beyond Orange Chicken bowls on the app earlier in the day and pick-up was a breeze. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is VERY attentive! My food was ready at the pick-up time and it was delicious. Parking isn't an issue in the huge Ralph's lot and the adjoining Best Buy lot. I would come here again.
google avatar

Yolanda T.

Yelp
Just been there today, ordered a bowl of stir fried tofu with eggplant & fried rice. I waited awhile for it was not ready yet. Then the server started to prepare my order of fried rice & scooped 3 pcs of tofu and 3 pcs of hard eggplants. I said that's too little, she said if I want more I have to pay extra. That's how they do business now, the servings are getting smaller and smaller. Left my order and eat somewhere else, crossed Panda from the list of my favs.
google avatar

Van G.

Yelp
I haven't been to Panda Express in how long? Six or seven years at least! Always considered Panda to be at McDonald's level type food quality and avoided it like Coronavirus. Let's be honest here, their food really is very greasy and with having so much sugar added it's not the healthiest option to eat out there. Today was one of those days when you feel that you tried everything there is to eat out there and want to try something else. Being on a Plaza right next to this Panda Express location I realized that it was simply meant to be. No regrets! Sure, that food was still super greasy but the mushroom chicken was to die for. I ate the whole thing and was left craving more. I have a feeling that I will have to repeat this experience some time soon!

J P.

Yelp
This place is my go to. They are usually on point with everything. I usually place online orders to beat the line. However, today, my order came without the requested sauces and was missing an entree.
google avatar

Flora Daisy L.

Yelp
I like their menu and flavor and the service is quick affordable prices, good quantity. Free parking available
google avatar

Jordan Z.

Yelp
Cannot go wrong here. The food is awlays made fresh and hot for your hungry needs. Smells like heaven.
google avatar

Ian M.

Yelp
Again, turned off from ordering more food here. Person keeps asking me for confirmation. Cell phone number and crap like that. I'm pretty sure she's doing it to antagonize me now, I don't know how many Ian's order food at the same Panda Express at near 7 o clock
google avatar

Bill R.

Yelp
Every time I go here an hour before closing all the food bowls are empty then the staff complains about how long it's going to take for them to make simple dishes like string bean chicken and broccoli beef they just don't want to work and they make it seem like such a hassle to get what should be on the menu... it is so sad but businesses have now come to at the mercy of their employees.... shame on you Panda Express if you're a customer don't get excited about what used to be on the menu you'll get what they give you if you're lucky, and not with a smile
google avatar

Adrian S.

Yelp
Food was okay! Women here got an attitude though and seem to get overwhelmed with the rushes.
google avatar

Yelp
The foos is amazing, personally I love this type pf food. The service is fast they always are pretty attentive and the place looks great.

Marc G.

Yelp
I work in customer service so I know all about how things run and how to serve customers , you might want to re train some of your people in the future , came in to your location trying to use a new $25 gift card I never touched yet , cashier tells me it has a balance of 0 dollars on it so I end up using my own money out of my own personal debit card and he insisted that it had nothing on it . So I walk outside check the balance on the panda website and it shows $25 balance never used . I come to the front to tell another employee and all she says it is , "now it shows it" that's not gunna help the situation that I just had to use my own money when all you guys had to do was do your job correctly . Like I said I work in customer service I know how it goes , but please do your jobs better next time all I'm asking .

Anthony D.

Yelp
Please STOP giving people chili sauce when they ask for soy sauce!! Third time this has happened. Apparently I have to be one of those annoying customers who checks the bag before I leave. Other than that, the food is good.
google avatar

Bob A. S.

Yelp
Love all the food there, good Americanized Chinese food, I use the chow mein to cover my bald head. Signed, Jeff Bezos

CRISTINA V.

Yelp
I wouldn't go back to this branch. The servers could hardly understand orders. I ordered for a group of 6 for take out and they made a major mess by over charging me and missing orders.

Pamela L.

Yelp
I am always impressed by how well this location manages so many customers and such volume. My son and I often stop by for a quick dinner and the staff is really great. Carolina, whom I assume is the manager, is very friendly, capable and helpful.
google avatar

Robyn P.

Yelp
Our first time visiting this location. They have a very organized approach to modifying service for Covid. Orders are taken at one door by a cashier using a large laminated menu. There is a sign asking everyone to pay with credit or debit. Our food was ready in 5 minutes and Pick Up is done at another door. Everything is designed to maintain social distancing. Bravo Panda!

Yelp
Since the reviews here are both over a year old, I have to show a little bit of love to this Panda Express that I frequent. So yes, the peas are sometimes a little hard in the fried rice. The Lo Mein is kind of just there and sometimes you get a little bit of a stomach ache, but it's Panda Express! It comes with the territory, but it tastes so good going down. Other than the rice and lo mein, which are bummers, I actually think that this Panda Express is like most others, which it should be as a chain. I have had some inconsistent meals, but even when you go to McDonald's, sometimes you get a batch of fries and you know that something's not right. It just happens and I feel like it's part of eating fast food. This Panda deserves at least three stars for two reasons: Garrhet and Kevin - Panda Express Ballers. Kevin typically works the serving line and is so incredibly patient and nice to all the customers that come through the door. He scoops with fairness for all, even when customers are being extremely rude! He never forgets to ask if you want a third item and he's happy to answer any questions, just an all around great guy. I think Garrhet is a store manager and I love that guy. He helps cook, serve, manage, and does the register. He's everywhere! He's extremely professional, well-mannered, and he's always happy to take the receipt coupon after you've taken the survey to get a third item for free. When Garrhet is there, you know you're going to have a great experience at this Panda because he seems to run a tight ship. I have to disagree with Michael and Dr. Sam, maybe Kevin and Garrhet weren't at this location when they gave their reviews, but their comments were more about the food, which I think has been brought up to the standard here. But really, it's Panda Express, they all seem to be pretty similar, though the one in Manhattan Beach/El Segundo is pretty awesome.
google avatar

Joshua M.

Yelp
I ordered chow mein with broccoli and kung pao chicken with eggplant tofu. Postmates got it here and under 30 minutes . Unfortunately the food was just not up to the normal standard. The broccoli was not cooked through and tasteless. They also added cabbage. ??? I didn't order no cabbage!!! The eggplant tofu pieces were too large and they did not have the same flavor that they used to. The food overall was dryer and it used to be. A non covid-19 times I would have taken this back. I order Panda Express all the time It's my number one take out spot. I think I got to make sure I don't order close to closing time that usually reduces the quality of the food.
google avatar

Kristi Alexis P.

Yelp
I think the biggest morons in the world work here. I placed a GrubHub order today and was delivered someone else's DoorDash food. I had a snack and removed some of my order as I would not be as hungry when my new order arrived. Two hours later my first order is delivered. Soggy, cold and in a wet bag from sitting for two hours. This food should have been tossed by all Health Department standards. My fresh food was left sitting on the counter because for a second time they can't be bothered to check the name on the order or to make sure they have it correct. I WILL be reporting to the LA Health Department as I now know they do not follow safe food practices. I attempted to call and speak to someone at the location, but they don't even bother answering the phone most likely because they know it's just call after call to let them know of the total incompetence. I have no idea how the management team is still in place at this location. There is absolutely no attention to detail and knowing that I can only imagine the other horrific things going on in that kitchen Don't trust this location. They don't even make an effort to get it right. Two chances and epic fail on both.

John P.

Yelp
Small not filled up bowl cost almost $9. I counted and there were only 5 peices (small bites) of chicken. Cashier asked to review my medical records before she would ring it up as a "dine in". Do not recommend at all, you can get real food and good service at this price. I think reasonably priced fast food this is not, so go somewhere where your dish is worth what you pay.
google avatar

Miles M.

Yelp
Where do I start? I eat at this location often as it's convenient and usually fast paced. Tonight the line was the longest I had seen and I was about 15 people back inside the building. The social distancing is non existent so take that in mind but mask required so it's a good start. It was busy enough were they had someone take your order in line as they wrote it down to give to order window. The guys name was Tristen and asked what I wanted. I told him my typical order and he stopped me before I can finish and said "you're only allowed 5 pieces of the crispy almond chicken". I looked at him and said what the fuck are you talking about, so he repeated himself. I then followed up with I have never been told that, nor is it written down or a policy anyone knows and said whatever it is I still want it. I have gotten this a few times and it's always more then 5 pieces as they fill the back quarter up. Finally it came time for me to get mine and guess what??? I got 7 pieces in my order and wanted to rub it in his smug face so bad. Look at picture if you do t believe me because I know you'll see this kid. The other reason I'm leaving a 4-star review is because I said I wanted 2 egg rolls. The lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted chicken or veggie. I said both veggie please which then she followed up with " I only have chicken right now, do you still want them? What the actual hell I said "why would you ask me which one I wanted if you knew you didn't have both, why not say I only have chicken right now". It was an absolute shit show especially with only one cashier so I hope you guys fix these issues as it's annoying to have been told things when you know it not to be true.
google avatar

Catherine T.

Yelp
My husband stopped by to pick up some sides to go with our dinner. When he got home we discovered they accidentally gave us two orange chickens instead of one orange chicken, one Beijing beef. I can't call or complain because he wasn't given a receipt either. Really disappointed in this Panda Express location as I've only ever had good experiences so far (at other locations).

Yelp
Such a nice and clean spot. My time was well spent at this Panda Express location during my lunch break. Staff and management are very friendly!
