Food quality needs to be evaluated at this location. 1. Found a broccoli from mixed greens that wasn’t chopped properly. 2. Popular favorites like Orange Chicken and Black Pepper Steak wasn’t readily available during dinner rush hour. 3. Several food items on the steam table that are obviously old should have been thrown out instead of added onto the freshly made food items. 4. I ordered the Honey Sesame Chicken and I could tell it was not cooked long enough and tasted mushy. I worked at Panda Express for five years. I know the steps and procedures.

Ordered food at 1:20pm Food Text Ready at 1:30pm 1:45pm I’m still waiting for my food. Didn’t get food until 1:50pm Understaffed. Lines move slow. Staff doesn’t openly communicate that they don’t have some of items ready even though the order was scanned to be completed. No estimated wait time. No apology. By far one of the worst experience when it was NOT busy.

Staff is super friendly! Food is great. The fried rice was fire 🔥 just look at the pic.

My wife is from Thailand. She has been in the USA since May of 2024. She applied online either with Panda or Indeed.com. Regardless the Panda people liked her application and requested an interview that lasts 6 hours. The interview was on Tuesday August 5th, from 9am to 3pm. She arrived the Panda Express at 8:30am. The people that interviewed her did not arrive until 11am. She waited 2 hours to be interviewed. That is unacceptable. When the Panda people arrived, they criticized her clothing and shoes. My wife actually asked what specifically to wear and what shoes to wear for the interview. She did not get a response from Panda. Her first task was to memorize the 20 plus symbols for taking orders. She had 20 minutes to do this, which is not enough time. She then was asked to do the “cooking”. The Panda Interviewers were talking bad about her the entire time she was cooking. They made comments like “it is obvious that she has never worked in a restaurant before”, “ it appears that she has never even cooked before”, and “ it is obvious she has never worked in the USA before”. First off, her application and resume never stated that she worked in a restaurant. It also stated that her only employment was in Thailand. If they would have read these two documents that she provided they would have known this. Secondly, cooking in a home kitchen is much different than cooking in a commercial kitchen. Everything is so much larger and heavier. After the cooking, my wife sat down with, I believe 4 Panda people. They were eating while asking her questions, and continuing to be rude with comments. That whole experience was traumatizing for her. She now thinks that all interviews in the USA will be like this. I tried to let her know that will not be the case. Long story short, their people were very rude, and are blaming her for what Panda did not do, in the upfront vetting process. Before you bring someone in for a taking orders and cooking experience interview, you should meet them and vet out the possibility of them being qualified to be on your team or not. The Panda people owe her an apology for how they mistreated her. If i could giver them a negative 5 stars, I would. I will choose to not eat there again.

Google
I love Panda Express, but this experience is something I can’t overlook. I come to this location often after workouts and always order the same Bigger Plate: chicken teriyaki, mushroom chicken, and beef & shrimp. I’ve never had issues with my stomach—until last week. Roughly 20 minutes after eating, I got food poisoning. At first, I thought it might have been a one-time thing, maybe due to temperature changes or something unrelated. But today, I went back, ordered the exact same meal, and the same thing happened—this time while I was driving home. I started getting intense stomach cramps and felt like I was going to throw up. Now I’m sitting in the bathroom, literally vomiting like a water fountain, and I’m 100% sure it’s the food from this location. If last time was an accident, this confirms something’s really off here—either in how they’re handling the food or how it’s being prepared. Please stay away from this place if you don’t want to end up sick. I’m writing this while doubled over in pain, and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

Delicious, fresh food always 😋 Best orange chicken says my 10yr old! Our favorite dishes pictured…they’re generous with portions 🙏😍.

Google
Ive been coming for almost three year at least twice a week as its closer to my work place I received a bad and not fresh honey sesame I ve addressed this to the guy and he is like to wait for fresh one. Said yes Then the asked to have a bag to put the other one for someone who might take it from the ppl that n the streets He said why since youre giving it any way And i repeated my request of getting a bag to carry the meal in And he gave it to me in a rude way I decided am not taking any meal instead and left very mad I couldnt bear staying in the place after wat he did Its my first time complaining from any attitude or food But today he really reined my day

Yelp
This Panda Express is usually not busy. It's tucked in the corner of the Walmart plaza. Got the plate: 1/2 Chow Mein, 1/2 Super Greens, Grilled Teriyaki Chicken, and Broccoli Beef for $11.00. Noticed this locations doesn't pack the plate as much as other locations.
google avatar

Oscar L.

Yelp
以下為英文翻譯: I come to this restaurant often, but I've noticed the quality has been getting worse. Today, I wanted to order a fried rice and found that the rice wasn't even fully cooked. Then I ordered the Teriyaki chicken, stir-fried string beans with chicken, white rice, and vegetables. Most of the chicken was burnt, and the string beans looked like some parts had turned yellow. There were also many pieces where the ends weren't trimmed off, making them inedible. Although they did replace some of the chicken for me, the replacement was also mostly burnt. This dining experience was very disappointing. I really hope they improve!

Francisco M.

Yelp
If you're in the mood for greasy nonauthentic Chinese food then here's the place. Like all fast food places, you'll be fed and it's quick. The quality is always gonna be okay. But Panda Express has a distinct taste that can be craved. The service was good and staff was nice. The interior looks nice and clean. The orange chicken is exactly what I craved for. The chow mein was alright. The mushroom chicken was too saucy (the sauce is good but I don't want the contents drowning in it). My fortune paper was slight cut off but I found that to be more funny.
google avatar

Cassidy I.

Yelp
This Panda Express had fresh orange chicken when we arrived, and we were able to wait for fresh fried rice. While the staff were friendly, they did get my order wrong. I ordered orange chicken, sesame chicken, and fried rice. I received orange chicken, string beans chicken, and fried rice. In addition to not being what I ordered, the string beans chicken was like 99% bean. I got maybe two shreds of chicken mixed in. The tables were a little dirty, with some bits of rice, but I've seen much worse in fast food restaurants. The modern mural and lighting are nice. There is a lot of parking near this Panda Express, though I would recommend parking a little further away near the Target and walking over. The lot directly in front of the restaurant gets so busy!

Alexia M.

Yelp
Gee was absolutely amazing! Her customer service skills are outstanding and she provided me with service as if I was a regular here (hint: it was my first time). This just goes to show her great work ethic alongside her beautiful personality/attitude. As a food service worker, it is always nice to be served with kindness and respect. Thank you gee, I will be returning to this location because of you.
google avatar

Brandon L.

Yelp
Sometimes you walk into a restaurant and meet that person who makes you want to come back. And that person is gee. Promote this person to manager asap. Her customer service was 10/10.
google avatar

Dre H.

Yelp
The customer service is find for the most part also the people who work there are polite . A lot of these companies are extremely greedy they've continued to increase the prices yet the portions are very small . I get it confirming to the inflation however , We work extremely hard and eating out isn't always as easy of some as it is for others . I'm an adult grown man I ordered a bowl and had hardly any protien usually I'll just ask for more but , I'm at the point where I just won't support or patronize companies like PANDA EXPRESS anymore . Very bad experience when you are starving & they give you a meal equivalent to a kids meal . They know what they are doing , yet when they eat their lunch they make sure to help them selves to be extremely large portions . I saw an employee eating when I got my order that inspired me to write this ..
google avatar

Cristina A.

Yelp
I love their orange chicken. It is so good. No one can compare. Fast, easy and affordable. My go to is the kids meals. It fills me up with just enough.
google avatar

Tweety B.

Yelp
This Panda Express location deserves more than 3 stars. I visited it today and I felt that the entree plate has great portion value and were very tasty. It's hard to find a full big plate for the same price and they have some unique classic entrees like orange chickens that fit all ages- young and old. The service is fast and dining area is clean.

Sergio A.

Yelp
Panda Express has gotten ridiculously stingy with their portions. You pay full price and get barely a scoop of meat or rice. The chow mein is overloaded with cabbage and vegetables and has hardly any noodles. And then, after serving you scraps, they have the audacity to ask if you want to "round up" for donations. How about giving customers the food they're paying for first? I already hesitated to come back after my last experience, but this sealed it -- this will be my last visit.
google avatar

Travis P.

Yelp
Came on a Monday for dinner around 7 and they already had a lot of items completely out. Selection seems smaller than other locations and portions were definitely skimpier. Some items were fresh while others been under the heat lamp a bit too long. Overall it's Panda Express, but this location IMO falls a tad under par.
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
Had a huge catering order- about for 60 people. Christina was so nice and helped me carry everything into the car. Everything was prepared on time and it was all nicely packed and ready to go on a cart.
google avatar

Gerardo C.

Yelp
Only small servings they trying to serve you less every time... i only got 3 peace of steak on a bowl what is going on with this restaurant .
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I've gone to this location a couple times and unfortunately the experiences haven't been the best mainly because of the portion size. I had a coupon and was able to use it on a bowl and I was disappointed to see how lacking the bowl was. I believe that there's a line at the top for a reason... it felt more like a "1/2" bowl. Also, the noodles weren't very tasty that day either. Upon stirring around, I found a good chunk that was not separated and seasoned. I think improvement can be made here considering everyone else has the same issues with portion size.

Joyce N.

Yelp
Cool staff and nice clean area, but this location skimps on the portions they give you as if extra chow mein or meat comes out of their paycheck or something

Benjamin O.

Yelp
I came in there from church with my wife and Ryan who was serving the dishes, served me generous amounts unlike different franchises.

Emiliano C.

Yelp
Gave us the worst plates ever, no orange chicken, 4 piece of teriyaki grilled chicken, and pure vegetables in the Chow-Mei
google avatar

Esther J.

Yelp
the manager that was working the front on 4/15/2025 was rude as fuck. i tried getting a plate for $6 due to dodgers winning the game and i downloaded the app and scanned the reward and it WORKED, just for this rude ass manager telling the cashier that it was for online ordering online and not to give me the discount when it was not advertised that it was online only. How is that our problem is the barcode worked. It ALREADY gave me the discount. so they canceled the transaction to charge me the full price. it's not even about the money. the fact is that the code worked, how is that the customer problem, it's the corporation or apps problem to figure that out. and how is it that both cashiers did not know this information and the manager had to be one to tell them to tell us and she couldn't even tell us herself. rude ass fucking place.

Yelp
I was helped by Isaac today and he was incredible! He was so enthusiastic and very polite. He assisted me with my choices as I was questioning so many things. I was hesitant with what I wanted to order since I wasn't sure of what I wanted and he was patient ready to assist me when I had a question. Thanks to employees like Isaac who make customer experiences meet satisfaction needs He was very kind, absolutely positive and very attentive. Employees like Isaac deserve recognition for their determination and professionalism. Hope this employee earns a raise because he was magnificent. I will return when I am in the area. The area is very clean and well maintained. The floors are clean and tables are spotless. The food was delicious and I loved the teriyaki.
google avatar

Ethan D.

Yelp
was going to order when I saw an employee drop a box on the ground pick it up and still put food and serve it out
google avatar

Sam W.

Yelp
I specifically asked for napkins and the lady (not sure if she was the manager or not..wearing the black shirt instead of the red) only gave me 1. So dissapointing. The moisture in the bag already got the napkin wet so I can't even use it.

Ken H.

Yelp
Usually I don't write about franchise fast food place but I had to give a shout out to the Panda Express place for their exceptional service from Maggie. As soon as I step into this restaurant, she happily greeted me with a smile and warm welcome. I ordered a family meal because my kids love their orange chicken and their chowmein noodle. Maggie also recommended the pepper beef which I have not try before(it was very good). Overall, I was very pleased with Maggie service and the food was very good.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
Orange Chicken and Honey Sesame Chicken, yes! I ordered two small containers and they were filling. Both entrées were filled up and tasted so good. A yummy treat to snack on. Order came with two dining set. Plastic forks with two large white napkins. Bummer no fortune cookies with this order. A tasty treat thanks to Uber Eats!
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
Came at 9 and they had nothing only like three selections. I came in with the mentality there would be few but I only wanted beef and broccoli. I honestly thought I was going to be told to wait and they'd make something real quick like beef and broccoli or something you know? 10-15mins because I've had that at most pandas. But no at 9 the lady said they weren't serving anything anymore. Guess nobody wants to work, because I get they wanna go home , but it's like an f u to customers to walk into empty selection and be told 30 minutes prior they can't whip up something up rq. Lazy store , don't come here.
google avatar

Sabrina Q.

Yelp
I have been very dissatisfied with Panda Express lately. I order the kungpao chicken and black pepper angus beef with one side which is vegetable. I didn't want to order the rice or noodle. Look at this picture,I was charged $1.5more for the beef on top of what I have to pay for 2 entries and one side. Open the box, about to eat. You can see from the photo there are only 3 very little pieces of "beef" laterally. Everything looks tired and no taste at all. Come on, I got extra charged for the beef, look at how little I got. It's not worth to go back again to this place. It used to be good. But now , every time I do what I got is dissatisfied and disappointed.
google avatar

Edmund L.

Yelp
Portion is definitely not worth the pricing they have nowadays, and the portion size they gave out is not consistent at all. When the manager was serving the customer in front of me, they were given a full scoop of whatever entree they chose. But when the employee comes and serve me, they had the audacity to scoop out more than 1/3 of what they've just scooped into my plate and make it seem like they've given me a full portion. When even the manager isn't that stingy about food portions, why would the regular employee be acting like they are serving war-time rations? Train your employees better. All the customers paid the same price for your food, so we deserve to be given the same consistent portion all throughout.
google avatar

Reg R.

Yelp
Food was and has been good , until "Karena c" Brought her attitude to work today. Won't be going back because of the horrible customer service !

Vic T.

Yelp
Never order online or on the app. Especially when using the dodgerswin coupon. I was inside and watch the manager did my order he shady as f. Half the size of a normal serving. Shady ass b. Went to panda Express after their next victory and order on the app on fair oaks in South Pasadena. they give the right amount of portions. 5 star to fair oaks in South Pasadena

Victor C.

Yelp
Chow Mein and Orange Chicken was very Soggy. Chow Mein also had little flavor. Big difference from the Panda on Walnut Grove next to their Headquarters. Management needs to visit this particular store for food quality issues.
google avatar

Yin C.

Yelp
Quick, affordable and consistent. I mean quick service, affordable options and consistent flavors. I like knowing what to expect and it gives me peace of mind to eat here in this location. Will be coming back for more peace of mind comforting meals!
google avatar

Benny T.

Yelp
I've only gotten takeout from here and my experience has been pretty standard. My order is usually ready by the time I arrive and the workers were courteous. I would say they kinda cheap out a bit as I got two bowls yesterday and they were 90% full.
google avatar

Jojo M.

Yelp
Oh hell no!! Do not go to this location! They sparsely give food. Seriously! I was waiting for noodles being cooked and fresh fried rice. However, I was given what was sitting while others were waiting for the rice and noodles to be cooked. Oh, you ordered a 3 item plate. I said that's 13 bucks and change. I told the clerk, open that and tell me if you would pay 13 bucks for that. She said let me have them add more. Yeah, it's really not enough. I just said, you know what, nevermind!! I left and I will never come back!! Horrible!!!

Luis C.

Yelp
I'm not sure if Panda Express has changed their portion or meal sizes but If so I won't be eating at Panda Express any longer! Please the picture attached to what they gave me when I asked for a plate combo w/ 2 sides and 1 entree. I ordered half rice half greens and teriyaki chicken and that's what I got which is a lot less than my son gets when he orders a kids meal here! This is just not acceptable. Literally 3 small pieces of chicken maybe 2 just cut in half in a bowl!
google avatar

Selina O.

Yelp
Why would this be in the cub's meal? So disappointed! Is that what do you now so you don't need to give more noodle?
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
One of the newer Panda locations to pop up in SGV. Located in the Target plaza in the Starbucks section area. Small parking lot in this area. Location itself is like the typical stand a lone stores. Inside seating but it is closed during COVID. Online ordering and take out only. Family Feast - $20 - Great deal for what you get. 2 choices of rice and/or noodles, 3 proteins (set choices only, premium items cost more). Portions are huge, fed us all weekend. Low score because the beef and broccoli was like 90% broccoli and 10% beef. Terrible ratio! Orange Chicken, small entree - $4.40 - For the price you pay, you get the smallest little take out box with about 10 pieces of chicken. Such a rip off for the price.

Liliana O.

Yelp
I love the food, but the service not so much. And I did read more reviews based on the food portions and well as mentioned there they are less but this time it was significantly less than prior. I had to order a medium size side of chow mein to make up for the portion of two plate combos I had ordered. This isn't the first time sadly. And I really like the food. Just considering about the location now. The photo is the chow mein with half of the medium size portion of the side I had to order and it looks somewhat decent in serving.
google avatar

Jun L.

Yelp
Yes, I admit... I still crave Orange Chicken from time to time. (Panda Express happens to be one of my very first meals in the U.S. when my family moved here more than 30 years ago.) 3 stars!!! I haven't come across a Panda Express location that cannot deliver my favorite delicious and tangy item at Panda Express, the Orange Chicken, and this new restaurant is no exception. In fact, all items taste exactly like in other branches, which I think is one of the main reasons why Panda Express continues to be successful. You know what you expect to get, and you get it at Panda Express regardless of what restaurant you visit. This Panda Express just opened within the last few months so it's one of the nicest, cleanest, and most spacious restaurants. In addition, the staff has always been friendly and welcoming as well. Located in the Target Plaza, Panda Express joins Ono Hawaiian, Chipotle, The Habit, Wingstop, Subway, and Starbucks in the list of places to grab food. Why just 3 stars? This new Panda Express is so close to work, offering another choice for my coworkers and I when we go out to lunch, but there are simply no gluten-free items available in the menu. One of my regular lunch buddies who has a gluten-free diet, sadly, has to go to another restaurant since there's nothing for her at Panda Express. Perhaps Panda can work on adding on gluten-free items to the menu in the near future. In addition, the parking area closest to Panda Express is probably the most hectic in the plaza. Avoid the chaos and simply park by Target and walk over. It's guaranteed that you'll take a shorter amount of time than waiting for one of the limited spots much closer to the restaurant to open up.

Justine V.

Yelp
I would definitely give zero stars if I could. This establishment should just get shut down if they are going to let it be run by such awful management. Female Asian manager is rude, has a bad attitude and is greedy as hell. She served such a small portion of food, then refused the discount, which was advertised all over the Internet and in public spaces, by saying that it was for "online only" . the app does not mention this, neither does the website AND the discount code went through. The person next to me was already paying for her purchase when the manager told the employee to cancel it and charge her fully. The worst part is she didn't even acknowledge us or speak to us herself, no apologies for miscommunication or misunderstanding. She just talked about us like we weren't there and then walked away, She did not handle the situation professionally at all. I wish I didn't buy the food at all such a waste of time and money.
google avatar

Dave C.

Yelp
The food here is no longer edible. I haven't been here in awhile and decided to give it another shot. What a waste of time it was on my part. The food has this odd taste to it and almost a rubbery texture. I can't really describe it but its not safe to eat. The honey walnut shrimp taste like it had died ages ago and was just defrosted, it was mushy and didn't even taste like honey walnut shrimp. It had some weird filler in it like artificial meat. I couldn't even eat any of the food. I didn't want to get sick. What a waste of time and money. Please avoid this location for your health and safety. You've been warned!

Courtney T.

Yelp
I came here because I had a giftcard to use. Panda wouldn't be my number one choice of fast food restaurants, especially in this plaza where there are so many other options. I ordered the plate with chow mein, broccoli with beef, and orange chicken. I noticed the portions are significantly smaller than before. Besides that, the flavor isn't there anyone. The chow mein was so bland and had no flavor at all, the broccoli beef was mediocre, but the orange chicken is still decent. The workers here look like they don't want to be working here either.
google avatar

Chinita K.

Yelp
I ordered a small size of the orange chicken entry box to go, it is $4.90 with tax of $.047 totaling $5.37. I handed over a $20 bill, the douche cashier just directly handed me of $14 in change ...where's the rest of the change $.63 I understand it's a small amount, most of the time if they "ask" if you want to "donate " to the children's hospital, I would totally say yes... it's the fact that he just "assumed" without asking that annoyed me. Not a great customer service!!

Frankie K.

Yelp
Panda Express is horrible. Haven't been to one since 2020 because food quality was bad the last time I had it. Thought I'd give it another chance in 2024. First off, the serving portions are really small. The beef and broccoli is 90% broccoli and 10% beef. Fried rice was dry and brittle tasting. The chow mein noodles were cold. Last but not least. Everything was flavorless. I was so disappointed. I would have been happier eating a hot dog from 7/11. That's my honest opinion. I can't believe they are still in business.
google avatar

Mariela C.

Yelp
Horrible service, I came here to pick up an Uber order and the girl Karena kept ignoring me and taking forever, I told her the name for the order and she would not pack it, I understand they were busy but it died down and still no updates no nothing had me waiting for 20-30min and made me late for drop off. This is so unacceptable. There was a lot of workers and none of them wanted to help nor give me an update. She even had me pour the drink myself. That's is not my job as an Uber driver, I've came here before and they had everything ready. Plz do better and if you don't like your job.. find another or at least fake it.

Yelp
Note: Review is based on the pre-coronavirus days. Rating: 3.5 Stars Credit Cards: Accepted. Restrooms: There are restrooms. Type Of Chinese Food: Americanized chinese food. Fast and convenient. Location/Parking: Located next to Ono's Hawaiian BBQ. Normally, parking can be a bit hard depending on the time you go. Ambiance/Decor: Nice ambiance with modern furnishings. Service: Staffers are friendly and helpful. Item Of Choice: Food is alright. I usually get either a side of fried rice or orange chicken or both depending on my mood. Those items usually hit the spot for me. Restaurant For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back for the fried rice or the orange chicken.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
They messed up one of my order and since I ordered two bowls with similar items, I noticed that the service team also skimped on the entrée. It felt like they did not properly heat up the items to a safe temperature and they also just decided it was okay to split one portion of the entrée into two bowls making both orders much smaller. I was upset when Panda Express as a whole chain reduced the size of their plate and portions however this specific place took it a little further (or maybe just for that specific day/service staff) and even reduced the meal size.
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Not the most Asian authentic fast food, but it's still good, and the amount of food the employees give you it's a lot. The price of the meal is around $10-$12 dollars, which isn't much because it will fill you up and still have some for later the day. The food there is cooked fresh every day and made whenever it runs out, so it is new and fresh. I would recommend getting the large plate with chow mein, with broccoli with beef and orange chicken. That's my favorite, but you can honestly pick any three for a large.

Connie V.

Yelp
Worse location everrr manger ( ERICK ) served me very small portion with some cold ass food and stale ass wontons and egg rolls. And he looked like her hated his job. Don't come to this location.

Yelp
The Best Panda Express I have ever been to. All my food was hot and delicious. I couldn't stop eating it was so good.

Yelp
Service is always good , food is slightly above the normal standard of Panda. Shanghai Angus Beef
