Lady taking my order was very rude and kept rushing me. I got a plate and told her one of the sides I wanted and I was trying to see what I want for the other 2 sides so I told her I want to look first. Then when I made a decision on the second side she decided to say you want double of it. When I see her scooping I told her no I only want one, she said no your double of the same side. I then proceed to tell her I didn't say that I said let me take a look at my options. After she boxed the third side after I told her that's not I want she said that I said double of the same I said no then she was willing to pour it back out. That person was just not nice and doesn't listen very well. I also came back with no forks that are normally put into the bag with it.

Google
This is a great place for fast food! Friendly service all the time. The food is great and the right temperature. The atmosphere could be a tad bit cleaner. The floors to be specific. I have never used the bathroom so I wouldn't know how clean it is. But this definitely does not stop me from going there. I love this place.

Alex Zhang

Google
The food is as good as before, but the online order takes out service is bad. I order my lunch there about 20 minutes before I stopped by, after I arrived there, and all for pick up my online order, the employee told me to wait 5 minutes, and about 15 minutes later, he didn't even check the status but ask me to wait me to wait another 10 minutes. After then, I talked to the manager there, and the manager find out that my order is already ready for pick up. I can't believe that pick up a online order will take me around 40 minutes, while walk in will only takes less than 10 minutes.

Google
I've been going to this location down the street from my house for 13yrs, the staff is always nice & the food is good, but there's usually a line & you can guarantee a wait on at least 2 entrees. We were there a couple of days ago & I noticed the food portions were smaller, I asked why the change & we were told they changed to only 1 scoop, & I'm like ok but that was a half scoop...I do love vegetables but I'd like to have at least an equal amount of the entree, I've been to Panda Express in different cities & the Curtner location is the only one doing this. I feel like if you are going to reduce the amount of food given, as a company your prices should reflect that as well...P.S the entree next to the walnut shrimp is supposed to be broccoli beef, but as you can see it was just broccoli with 3 or 4 pieces of beef

Google
Becareful Ordering Uber Eats At this Location the Quality is not Consistent. They give you Small portions and the Food is DISGUSTING

Google
I get it was busy. I understand it was dinner rush. But when. I order a 3-entree meal and I get 4 pieces of orange chicken that's ridiculous. On top of this, there was ZERO tea available.

Jarry Sanchez

Google
I like to order food there but the service is somewhat good. But they forgot the fortune cookie right after I order food. They always give you fortune cookies right after you order your food and now they forgot about.

Jahaziel Magana

Google
Always a good experience. Very busy location but still delivers awesome service, and the food is delicious as always.

Yelp
Line was long but I placed my order online. I don't like Panda Express but I do appreciate and see them collaborating with rescue groups to help them fundraise. Just last week they did something for Sierra Pacific Furbabies and this past Friday they did something for the Norcal Sled Dog Rescue. Rescue groups not just help save animals out of concern from the public but they pull animals from the shelter to save their life. If the rescue does not have a foster lined up, the dogs will go into a boarding facility. The dogs get looked at by a vet and are treated if they have any conditions requiring medical attention. The boarding fees are expensive, it's almost like a shelter but without the euthanasia list. Though I do not care for their orange chicken because I think it's dry, I really love how they are helping the community for animal lovers like myself. Service was ok. Line was by the door. I waited about 5 min. before someone helped me.

Yelp
I thought this place was pretty good overall. It wasnt super crowded, which made it easier to relax. Staff were mostly polite but sometimes looked rushed. The decor was nice and the lighting was just right. Prices were not too bad. Could be better on the speed of service but I would come again.

Yelp
Zezy is amazing great customer service and deserves a raise! Van was rude and needs more attention.

Yelp
This is the SECOND time that the rice is undercooked. There goes my lunch again. Super disappointed. It only happens at this location.

Sabrina S.

Yelp
I had ordered rice, chow mein, and orange chicken. Once I got in my car and opened my bad there was a maggot.
google avatar

Gina C.

Yelp
The food was terrible! The service was bad, waited in a long line and when I got there to order, the guy who was getting my order didn't put the right food in my plate even though it was written on the takeout container. I had to tell him that I didn't want beef & broccoli, I wanted mushroom chicken, but yes I want orange chicken. The rice was hard and didn't taste good. Would not recommend this place! The only positive I can say is that the food smelled good when I was waiting.

Yelp
Panda Express prides themselves as a family owned establishment---which technically is true--they aren't ran by a million different franchisees doing whatever the heck they want but still--there's no consistency at this location! AVOID THE ONE ON MONTEREY WHERE POSSIBLE. Terrible service and employee, particularly Van acts as though I am the one trying to rob them when clearly she's not reading the menu they offer. I ordered a kid's meal for my son. I selected the Orange chicken. After she fills the box I noted that the menu says orange chicken, white rice and super greens. There was no greens in the box. (Pictured) She says if I want the super green she will need to dump out part of the rice. It's not like there's an abundance. Also it's not the first time my son has ordered this. Like what?!! I tell her please see the sign that is not what it says. She proceeds to argue with me in line and I tell her to just leave it as is. Seems to me this is misleading advertisement, switch and bait load of crap , legal action waiting to happen. Zero stars if I could

Yelp
Small portions per person. If you speak up in another language, they overload your plate. And guess what? My portions were very small. However, the portion size vs. the price I paid ($15) for the cost of going across the street. I think I've been yanked. I understand the cost of business, but these kids dont know that..The control and content of portions should be equal. Equal. However, I was full as I had to buy egg rolls to supplement the small portionsI was given with the reduced container size to make it look full of food (Shame on you, Panda). I'm going to speak another language when I order anything at Panda here. Unless I'm super friendly and put up a show. I'll get the child's portion. The place was clean for the most part. Lots of seating for Friday lunchtime after a holiday but after payday. Lots of parking bathrooms had a line. They were super fast and attentive to the extent of making money. It was pleasant overall but highly discouraged the cost and portion part. Easily go across the street and get 1/2 more and a take-home bag for a $15 meal. Come on, people. Go with the times of today's consumers without a personal bias to culture. California has changed. Truly...

Yelp
I've been to this location a few times. The food has been pretty hit or miss which is why I'm giving them three stars. Im generally pretty forgiving of fast food restaurants because you should know what to expect before even going there. The reason for the lower review is based on the last time I went the food was not good. But m not sure if they had a new cook on duty or what happened. The chow mein was undercooked and was literally dry, they completely forget to put any sauce. There weren't any veggies or egg either. It was really weird and I'm not sure how it got on my plate. They were pretty busy but thats still pretty bad. The other dishes were eatable but i had to toss the chow mein. Ambiance: I ordered my food for pickup and did not eat inside this time. It was fairly busy and a few tables did need to be cleaned off. I wasn't happy but as i said I'm pretty forgiving of fast food restaurants. I'll probably give them another chance next time I'm getting a Panda craving Pro tip: get the food to go add more veggies and put it on a real plate. It will make the meal seem less fast like food.

Yelp
The food is good but I just got some rice and it's so gross..no flavor and seems stale or old...come on panda you can do better than that the rice I got parts of it is white like they didn't mix it all the way with the sauce

Valerie J.

Yelp
My son was visiting from SoCal, two nights in a row, we had Panda Express, The Plant location. horrible service behind the delivery; first night, the Teriyaki chicken wasn't cut into the strips. Instead, we received a plot of chicken on top of the chow mein. The second night, my chow mein was cold!! So was the mushroom chicken!! The only thing that we'd consider warm was the egg rolls. No sauces! No utensils! No! You can't get away with horrible service via delivery!! Bad impression. 1

Yelp
Accidentally ordered an online order at their place when I meant for somewhere else, gave them a call and Manny helped me out. He was very nice and told me it was no problem. Took no time at all to help me out and I appreciate it.

Jacey M.

Yelp
the food was kinda mid ngl not Wigan at lol and this Is my grandpa he ate the whole menu and morw

Yelp
Very impressed. We had a gang over for Movie Night - tired of Pizza - we visited PE. Everything was superb. We bought six different entrees - each was a home run. Rave reviews from all attendees. Lovely ladies serving the food. It was great.

Yelp
This place has really gone down hill over the past few months and this incident will make me no longer order from this location. I ordered a bigger plate meal with orange chicken and steamed brown rice as that was all they had for sides. While eating the orange chicken I discovered a area of mold which disgusted me to the point I just threw it away without checking for more afraid of what I'd find and what I already ate.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow $50 plus for a dinner for 2 way over priced even for Chinese Food The food is adequate but not at that price
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
UPDATE Management team was nice enough to welcome me back for a meal which i will soon come by to give this place another shot.
google avatar

Kia F.

Yelp
I mean itll do in a pinch, its pretty consistent whichever one you go to. You can tell this is a lot of peoples go to when they dont really know what to eat for lunch or dinner (theres always a line). Its fine. Like you KNOW what ur gonna get when u eat here. At least its consistent.
google avatar

Alexis L.

Yelp
I really like that they changed letting people enter into the restaurant. You now can order outside the main door. No one is allowed inside besides employees. They have an employee taking your order, behind a plastic barrier to separate you both for your safety. And you go around to the other door to pick up. I came to this location about a month ago and I did a mobile order and went to the second door to pick up. It was separated but you were still inside the restaurant. This way is so much better, safer, more contained for everyone's safety. And it was so fast. I placed my mobile order when I parked my car and it was ready in about 10 minutes.

Yelp
More like 2.5 Panda Express is that restaurant chain that sounds like a good idea, but rarely ever is. I used to love coming here growing up, but honestly the quality of food has been steadily decreasing, and the staff is always so rude to customers. The most recent time I ate here, I ordered a bowl of chow mein and mushroom chicken, with a side of cheese rangoons. The food is fair, it was edible. However, it did not settle well in my stomach and felt like a rock. I don't know guys. If I ever want Chinese food, I'll be sure to eat somewhere else.
google avatar

Alejandra B.

Yelp
the manager here is extremely rude to the employees. I would hate to be yelled at in-front of customers. Also she touches the door handles and then handles food with the same gloves.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Summary: Your average Panda Express with a Drive Thru, practicing safe physical distancing practices. I came here last night with some friends. Only 10 customers are allowed inside at once, which is great got keeping distance. They had a fresh batch of orange chicken and chowmein when I walked in, so I had to get both. Seemed like they were out if Teriyaki Chicken, which I normally would get, but it was 9:30 and I didn't want to wait for more to be made. The food was great, for an excellent price. Normally I give a standard Panda Express 5 stars for those reasons, but not having many other fresh alternatives to Orange Chicken (which is amazing, don't get me wrong), and not having chopsticks or fortune cookies was a small letdown. Perhaps that's part of their COVID-19 safety protocols, so I might try again in the future to see how they operate in normal conditions. It would also be cool to check out the drive thru.
google avatar

Harlene P.

Yelp
I ordered the bigger plate combo and the portion became extremely small for what I paid for. 5 PCs of orange chicken?! I don't think I'll be coming back. This was definitely not worth it. Before it use to be quite more than 5 pieces. I wonder if I ordered a small plate if I'd get less portion. Disappointed because orange chicken is my fave.

Jesus C.

Yelp
Sh*tiest panda express around, they also dont opperate within their posted hours and you will find them to be closed in the middle of the day
google avatar

Yelp
First time I ordered their $20 "family feast" special was at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. It came in those massive paper boxes that were drenched in sauce. It was satisfying, albeit a bit messy. It lasted me 4 meals. It didn't take them long to drop the ball. Second time around, food came in those tiny plastic containers that were filled to 2/3 capacity. I could finish it all in one meal if I pushed myself a bit. I think they threw in more fortune cookies than the amount of food. Also, no utensils or napkins were included.
google avatar

Sunil R.

Yelp
Panda Express has a good formula and good food. Their food is consistent and the system works well and fast. Their app works pretty well too. Picked up some food today for a get-together after ordering through the app and it was ready at the time they mentioned. Got the usual beef broc and orange chicken with chow mein, fried rice and egg rolls.
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
The manager or whatever she was tonight making the plates, was very rude. I sat and waited 20 minutes for beef broccoli, just for her to put in literally two pieces of beef and the rest broccoli. She was also very rude to a customer who obviously didn't speak English.
google avatar

Yelp
This is not traditional Chinese food. I had Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp. They charge extra for premium items, wontons and egg rolls. If you have nasal allergies to nuts stay away from the Honey Walnut Shrimp. The chef gets mad if U take to long to choose your entrees. I threw the teriyaki chicken in the garbage because it taste to processed. Panda Express is located in Home Depot shopping center next to Target. Its impossible to ignore the FUNKY ODOR (arm pits) in the parking lot of Home Depot. https://www.pandaexpress.com/menu/entrees Panda Express 2131 Monterey Rd San Jose, CA Link to this Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/100009392615548/posts/pcb.2540510836271979/?photo_id=2540509436272119&mds=%2Fedit%2Fpost%2Fdialog%2F%3Fcid%3DS%253A_I100009392615548%253A2540510836271979%26ct%3D2%26nodeID%3Dm_story_permalink_view%26redir%3D%252Fstory_chevron_menu%252F%253Fis_menu_registered%253Dtrue%26perm%26loc%3Dpermalink&mdp=1&mdf=1 Why is my Yelp Review for Panda Express not visible to the public? Yelp
Y'all forgot my other protein entree. Y'all don't even check boxes before you close em up and charge people.
google avatar

Yelp
Walk-in today to order a 3 item entree for my and its wasn't busy. There was only a person ahead of me. I ordered steam rice, double honey walnut shrimp and eggplant tofu. Total was $13.77. Extra $1.25 charge for shrimp for each order. Went home open it up for my son to eat. My son says, "mom, is this a hair on the shrimp?" Looked and yes he was right on top. ughhh...Not coming here again! There goes $13 something...SMH

Yelp
yadira is awesome! she was on her break/lunch, barely took her first bite of food, and was asked to hop back on the line and work. me, my friend, and even the group of customers behind us felt bad for her and she still had great spirits while serving us. 5 stars for her atleast.

Marissa L.

Yelp
absolutely horrible! they decide to give smaller portions when we paid extra for more when confronted they refused to fix the issue.
google avatar

Maylene N.

Yelp
Protein portions here are super skimpy! We just moved to the area, but I miss the Capitol expwy location on the east side. Not returning to this panda. Disappointed.

Doralyn A.

Yelp
My husband ordered Angus beef with fried rice and green veggies last night...sad to say the beef was really, really tiny. It was disappointing their standard went down from 7 to 1. What a waste of money???????
google avatar

Zuleima P.

Yelp
AMAZING SERVICE!! Walked in a little late around 15 minutes before they closed and the lady was so nice by filling up our plate with a generous amount not to mention after they helped out a homeless man.

David N.

Yelp
panda express is good and all, but their workers need to pay more attention at what they are doing cause they put very little portions on my plate and usually they put large portions, and I paid $21 for little portion, I got robbed
google avatar

Luci S.

Yelp
Sunday dinner thru about 8:30 pm is super busy here so go early of later. Tonight I timed as busy time was wrapping up and I got all fresh made food which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful which is always nice. I really like the news 8 Treasure chicken with 20g protein and 200 calories. Also the string bean chicken breast is similar. If steer clear of carbs your good.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Came here to door dash for fun during rush hour , it was a long line and I can tell the kitchen was a little overwhelmed and exhausted. I noticed a worker named Diem that was taking care of all of the online delivery orders. She happened to be running around with urgency and making sure all of the online orders were taken care of while being polite and calm. I've never seen a worker hustle so hard, honestly.

Andy H.

Yelp
i have been coming here for a few months for lunch, sometimes getting crunchy orange chicken or crunchy Bejing beef i could handle that but today a homeless guy came in smelling bad like he had not bathed for a month he walked to the register and helped himself to a soda cup then helped himself to the soda and walked out, no interaction with Panda Express personnel, it was like the workers here are ok with him doing this. Homeless people have been a problem here for some time and i have had various bad interaction with them, most times they want money from me for "working the door". Can something be done to make these homeless people find another hangout?

Yelp
Today is 3-23-2020 most of the residents of San Jose we need to keep home to prevent covid-19 spread as order it by Santa Clara department of health , this panda still open, my concern is the entrance door, to get in you to pull the door ( the metal handle ) covid-19 survive on metal surfaces up to 12 hours. I count many clients touching the handle while I was waiting for my food , I ask the manager to please leave the door open to prevent touch the handle and prevent spread the virus he just said, we cannot since the A/C is on... are you kidding? Next door ( pollo loco ) has the doors open for clients to prevent touching the metal handle as prevention.... I just want to give my feed back on this , no point for residents stay home if companies like This do not comply ...

Yelp
EDIT #2: alright.... there's raw rice kernels in my fried rice and my other order of brown rice wasn't technically raw but was so hard and dry it might as well be raw. Raw rice = 1/5 stars no matter what. Throwing away 1/4 of my meal. EDIT: guy topped my 3rd container off with orange chicken. I appreciate that. Raising stars from 1 to 2/5. No clue what's up with the line. People clearly are hurrying. 10/6/19 Been standing in line with about 10 people in front of me, line out the door. In about 5-10min they got 2 people served. What is going on!?!? Also I'm wearing a tank top and shorts, and it's kinda hot in here... 1/5 changed to 2/5. Then changed back to 1/5 #sanjose #americanchinese #chinesefastfood
google avatar

Jaron B.

Yelp
This location is one of the busiest in San Jose and they are consistently understaffed. I was on a 10 minute break from work and waited the whole time to order. They ignored me when I was in line to pay and had to remind the lady.

David H.

Yelp
I ordered a bowl of fried rice and kung pow chicken and basically got a bowl of rice with very little chicken. The portions of the main ingredients are shallow and under served.

Yelp
This use to be the only Panda Express In the area that I used to enjoy going to. But after my experience there today, I would not recommend it! I got there today at 9:10pm and half of the menu was not available. When I asked if they can cook extra eggplant tofu they said they aren't making any more extra food because they're almost "closed". But this store closes at 10pm!!! that's not even close to closing time. Not only that, I ordered pot stickers and when I got home of course they left my order out and I realized they didn't even give my receipt. I was not about to drive all the way back there! The food was not fresh and employees were rude! The fact that they were rushing to just close so early when in fact they still had enough time before 10pm! You might as well say you guys close at 9pm because honestly customer service was really bad! I tried calling a few times today nice I got home and realized you were missing my order but of course no one answered. Probably too busy trying to close so early! I don't know what happened to this place. I remember the manager was a Filipino guy and I expected more out of your employees/work environment but who knows, maybe he's no longer there. You guys got to do better!
google avatar

Sadiq H.

Yelp
I ordered Togo but right now they are cheating on food I ask green beans and chicken but they give me small portion of green beens and onions no chicken and when I go home check it out then I call to manager he maybe it's mistake and he hang up the phone I'm putting pictures for food and how much they charge me almost $11 so please when you go that location make sure your food will be correct

Yen P.

Yelp
The worst Panda Express ever in term of foods quality. Taste really bad. Don't go to this location.

Dezmond S.

Yelp
Worst service I've ever had at any panda express. I hope you like the DMV because you'll be waiting in line for just as long. The workers will literally start your order then turn around and all start chatting while customers are waiting for minutes. I've had this result multiple visits so i'm not just complaining about an off day. This team needs to get their quality control in order because this is not policy standard. Next.

Sebastian C.

Yelp
The food was good, but was missing everything including napkins, utensils, and sauce. How do y'all expect us to eat with our even meeting the basic requirements to work! SMH ‍

Sean S.

Yelp
Honestly this is probably a problem with Panda Express as a company, but this particular location is quite interesting. They have five individuals working the food and register and it took a grand total of 15 minutes for me to just get my food and check out. Extremely slow. No sense of urgency whatsoever from the staff, and no sense of hospitality or customer service. Expect for your "fast" Chinese food visit to take 20-30 minutes. Ridiculous.
