A High Ridge standby known for generous portions and fast service—classic American-Chinese comfort like egg drop soup, chicken with broccoli, and rib tips made the way locals like them. Reliable, affordable, and very Stamford.

Google
Their food is trash. They are overly expensive. They expect for you to pay their drivers. Those drivers chose that job YOU pay them!! Ordered some food earlier doesn't even taste right then to top it off they won't reimburse you or give you a different choice and come pickup the first bullshit they delivered. Trash trash trash. Chinese food is garbage if you not in their country or NYC.

Google
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! HORRIBLE AND THE FOOD IS LOW GRADE ! they mess your order up and then yell at you for their mistakes. They need to learn customer service especially with poor quality tasting food. PEKINGS is way better, I’ll stick to them. NEVER AGAIN

Google
It's so difficult researching good food options and absolutely frustrating when you finally try it and are disappointed with the quality and taste. Well, if you're looking for good Chinese take-out then you can stop searching! This is it! The food tasted fresh and made of better quality ingredients. There was no stale or rubbery flavor like I've had elsewhere. The portions amd pricing was very appropriate. Service was quick and very kind. I will definitely eat here again.

Google
Fast delivery, hot good food. At least every time we've had it we've enjoyed it. Also the prices are pretty good. There's a small delivery charge but it's less than the ridiculous fees the delivery apps charge you even with their so called "free delivery". Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Google
Do not eat inside. They will serve everyone who ordered after you if they do “to go”. You would be last on a list. Cleanses of a powder room are the same as outside toiled on concert stadium. After 30 minutes of waiting for lo men and watchin like customer going in, ordering food and after 5-7 minutes going out with a food - I tooked my money back and leave this place. I was there today at first time. And this is would be my last time when I was there.

Kenny

Google
Good food. Quick delivery. And they always get the order correct!

Google
The food is ok for the price. And quality isn't offensive. I order here often and enjoy the boneless rib with pork fried rice. Eating this makes me happy 😊

My first time and the best Chinese food ever in my life, hot and fresh

Yelp
While in Stamford for an annual meeting, I found myself looking for take out to bring back to the hotel. Panda Garden was conveniently between the meeting site and hotel. I placed an order online and it was ready and waiting for me when I stopped to pick it up. I had the pork egg roll and a small sweet and sour chicken. There are a few tables and chairs should you opt to dine in, but this is a great place for takeout! Even with the small order, I had leftovers.

Yelp
Excellent Chinese fast food. Portions are huge. Prices are very fair. I highly recommend them.

Yelp
We ordered the Sesame chicken, dumplings, spring rolls, and vegetable lo mein. The chicken was flavorful and crispy! 6.7 out of 10 The dumplings were very doughy. 5 out of 10 Spring rolls, very good. Thick yet well cooked. 7 out of 10 Lo mein, noodles were also doughy. But the flavor was good. 6 out of 10

Yelp
Panda Garden is one of the better Fast Food Chinese restaurant in Stamford. I have been here on several occassions. The food smells and tastes really good. I ordered boneless rib tips which were tender and juicy. I also had the General Tso Chicken, Shrimp with Broccoli and both dishes were really tasty. The General Tso Chicken wasn't soggy it had a nice crisp to it and of course the Shrimp with Broccoli was good with crunchy Broccoli. The best thing about this restaurant is that it was clean. You can actually see them preparing your food which is a good thing. I highly recommend checking out Panda Garden.

Yelp
"Oh Panda Bear, you can't seem to win No matter how hard you try" (Jefferson Airplane) I was visiting family in downstate Connecticut and we went the Panda Express route for lunch. Their menu is gargantuan! How about 13 appetizers, 11 soups, 8 fried rice variations, 7 chow meins, 7 lo meins, 6 mein funs, 7 pork dishes, 6 chicken dishes, 6 beef dishes, 3 sweet and sour dishes, 6 seafood dishes, 8 vegetarian dishes, 6 egg foo youngs, 12 Chef and Cantonese Specials, 6 diet dishes, and 6 combination plates. I mean seriously, you could eat here for the better part of six months and have something different every day. I had an Egg Drop Soup and Chicken with broccoli. The soup was unusually good. Sometimes the egg threads are so light and wispy, they are like eating cotton candy. Not so here. The egg threads were much thicker and substantial -actually quite good. My chicken and broccoli was a good sized portion with plenty of tender chicken, nicely cooked broccoli, a tasty brown sauce that left no pools of oil behind, and a good portion of well cooked white rice. I had zero complaints at all about my food. I'm not one of the bloggers who take off points because something isn't authentic Chinese, I grew up eating Chinese food from Jade Garden under the elevated subway on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx. I like American-Chinese food, and Panda Express sure did a great job with my lunch as far as I'm concerned.

Yelp
5 stars for what it is - American Chinese food. Hot, fresh and exactly what you're looking for. The place is always busy which is a great sign. Reasonably priced with all of the typical favorites you crave.

Yelp
This place is the reason why I love fast Chinese food! They have been a neighborhood staple for many years and you can tell by the lines that the food is the best for miles around. The staff is very friendly and they remember you by name even if it has been years. Consistency is the word that describes their food, it is always good and I have never had a complaint about a dish. My go to is the shrimp with broccoli with garlic sauce and their general tso chicken. When I tell you this is the best and no need to go anywhere else, believe me. This is the place!
google avatar

Yelp
Old school taste general tso chicken nice and crispy and spicy. Love it. It's hard to find a particular taste.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Stamford. Particularly love the won ton soup. Don't miss this local gem.

Courtney C.

Yelp
The best local spot i can't believe I've been missing. We ordered here for the holidays and loved the lo mein. They give you the old school Chinese takeout boxes if you ask! I recently ordered the boneless spare ribs, which I think were the best I've had, and a small vegetable fried rice, which, when mixed together, is euphoric. Great value for the amount of food and super quick delivery. Will be coming back frequently.

Vivian K.

Yelp
We love Panda Garden the food is always fresh and they give you big protons with good prices. nice deliver guy and nice staff is very nice too. The lemon chicken is very good. My order came very fast too. the boneless spare ribs are very good.

Yelp
Food is great and so is service. Did not eat in the restaurant but always order from them and they're courteous on the phone. The restaurant itself looks well managed and clean.

Yelp
I love this take out place. They are SO NICE and the food is perfect, old school Chinese.

Yelp
20+ years serving disgusting CT Chinese Takeout deceiving CT denizens in believing all Chinese food tastes like crap. I had ordered take out, Sesame Chicken and 2 orders of Singapore Mei Fun, no vegetables and they managed to serve it as disgusting as you could imagine. The wonton soup tasted like kidney stones dipped in castor oil and the mei fun was dry, spicy and somehow tasteless. They did throw in a free coke to compensate for the pain of $50 and the garbage they sent. In turns out Coca Cola was the star of the meal. This seems to be on par with Asian cuisine in lower Fairfield. Tasteless and mixed up. Bottom line I can't recommend this or many places In this area that serve any type of cuisine quite possibly other than Burger King. Zero stars Panda Garden on 15 High Ridge specializes in reconstituted garbage.

Katie L.

Yelp
Will never go anywhere else, the best Chinese takeout! Lady at the front is incredibly sweet, has given free soda just because! Good food never disappoints and the place is clean. One of the few Chinese spots where you still see people dining in.

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Very good service, food was just the way I wanted and I am picky/a fickle customer. Clean atmosphere does justice as well. Thumbs up.
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
Saw a good write up in Nextdoor app. Ordered take out online. Arrived 20 minutes later. They never received order. Waited almost another hour while it was "rushed." Arrived home, sampled each dish and threw the $80 bag of food into the dumpster because everything tasted and smelled off.

Analisa M.

Yelp
Been going here for over 10 years, Helen treats you with care while also making sure everything is taken care of in a timely manner. The food and service is amazing. If you're looking for great food with amazing flavors this is absolutely top on the list. They have a variety of foods and meats from fried chicken and fries to shrimp lo mein. I recommend Panda Garden to anyone and everyone. You simply can't go wrong with any dish on the menu, not to mention the at home feeling you get while being there.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
beware not acceptable for human consumption. i found feces (poop) in my food! they do not clean their food whatsoever! they also gave me at least a week old dumplings with some kind mystery meat in them! and they have fried chicken that are still full of feathers! i filed a complaint to the health department! do not eat here you will get sick and can contract e-coli or food poisoning!!!

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Stamford don't know what the other reviews are talking about but the service and food are always great and food is nice always hot and fresh as well I recommend the Boneless Spare Ribs

Craig S.

Yelp
"It is good." 12 year old This is our favorite, local Chinese restaurant. We are always welcomed like family even if its been a while. Atmosphere is spartan but food is tasty and reasonably priced. We've almost always eaten in the re (not take out) Today we had Cold Sesame Noodles- 2 orders of steamed dumplings- flavorful and decadent. Nice and chewy with tender pork inside 3 lunch specials Beef and Broccoli General Tso's chicken- a kids favorite Chicken and Vegetables with white rice

F C.

Yelp
Not a fan, both dishes had same sauce, suppose to be garlic sauce, but more of a sweet red sauce. Bean curd was not sautéed, but just cooked in this sauce. Better choices in town.

Yelp
Long time favorite! It's a must-go anytime I'm in Stamford. The same people have been serving up delicious food there for at least 15 years (as long as I can remember going there) and neither their kindness nor the quality of the food has changed. It's certainly not the fanciest place out there, but the food is great and the prices are reasonable. I love their bean curd with mixed veg and veg fried rice. Their veggie spring rolls are great too--tastes like there might be a hint of ginger in them which is excellent!

Ryan M.

Yelp
I ordered a large beef and broc, a large general sow, and three egg rolls. The egg rolls were way over cooked and hard like a rock. The portion size was a joke. Both of my large were small orders and I know for sure because I ordered there many times before at lunch, so I know the size and the price. $52 for this order of garbage over cooked fat and breading. Then to make it worse they messed my general sow order up by giving me broccolis with it rather than pork fried rice. Then the woman tells me on the phone that you have to order the combination to get the pork fried rice. Who the hell asked for broccolis I asked her. My general sow chicken was clumps of overcooked fatty breading with a tiny piece of chicken inside. I ate maybe 4 pieces of the chicken out of 10 or so pieces. Total waste of money. I'm telling you these people have taken greed to a new level. NEVER ORDER FROM THEM. You have been WARNED. They plain outright STINK! I believe they pay people to give them positive reviews because it does not make sense for people to glow over these losers.

Yelp
My aunt and uncle in CT rave about this place and recommend it to all of their friends. They even get this food for parties, in large quantities. After an hour long drive from Long Island, NY, my uncle proposes that I look over the menu and pick something so he can go get it. After much reluctance (and knowing I would not be eating til much later that night), I ordered a Shrimp and Veggie Lunch Special. Thank GOD I did that! I was ravenous and tore open that container after smelling the wonderfule fare. BOUNTIFUL SHRIMP! BOUNTIFUL AMOUNTS OF VEGGIES! To my surprise, this was no MSG-laden, carbon copy chinese take-out spot. It was seriously fresh. For the $7 my uncle shelled, he got a great deal. I ate everything and left the rice. I did eat a couple of spoonfulls and it was good too. Great take-out! I don't know about the sit-in but I heard that was good too!

Carol M.

Yelp
The food was perfect. Everything is fresh and well cooked .The owner is very nice and pleasant to deal with. Prices were reasonable.

Alesia C.

Yelp
Food was recommended to me by one of my clients, it was horrible to say the least. I had house fried rice and a shrimp roll. How can you manage to mess up house fried rice ? The chicken was undercooked, white and slimy and the beef was gray meaning it had to be very old. The shrimp roll was subpar to say the least. The place is very unclean as well, don't get me wrong I'm use to eating Chinese food at places that resemble a hole in the wall but they don't have built up grime on the floors just take a look in the corners of the restaurant very filthy!

P N.

Yelp
I had the "House Special" Chicken Luncheon Special (11am-3pm) today. It was delicious! Full of fresh vegetables, tender chicken and a slightly spicy sauce, brown rice and hot tea. Large portion. Nice people, Covid protocols. WOW! Highly recommend. I will be back asap!

John J.

Yelp
Fair prices ,good food, fast delivery. No frills solid Chinese food. My go to for delivery and takeout

Yelp
Amazing food and such a beautiful place to dine me and my mother absolutely love this place especially their scallion pancakes a must try!! And their Apple sake!!!

Samantha W.

Yelp
Called for a deliver but ended up waiting over an hour for it. By the time it gets to me it's already cold and I didn't even get an apology.

Yelp
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Stamford. The wonton soup is just great and they give you lots of it. I like to eat at the restaurant and I'm satisfied with their food and their prices. Everyone is nice and it's a nice walk to get here and go home after. They let you bring in yours own drinks which is also great.

Yelp
So - I am the yearbook advisor at Westhill High School. We ordered lunch today for our class to take a "working lunch." Upon opening the bag, we were short an order of Sesame Chicken with white rice. I - the teacher/adult - called Panda Garden to let them know, and see if there was any way they'd deliver it for the one kid who was now left out. The woman I "spoke to" - and it's hard to say spoke to, because she wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise - informed me that NO mistake had been made, they "were not busy" when we placed our order, the chicken must be in the bag. I said it was not, I had eyes, and it was not there. She said "a kid must have taken it." Again - I ordered this food FOR MY CLASS. We are sitting together working on yearbook pages and eating it. No one came in, stole the food, and left. She told me that not only would no rectification be made, but that "Westhill High School should lose their number" and "never order from Panda Garden again" she'd "had it with all of us." Okay then. We won't.

Yelp
I normally don't ever review Chinese take out places as they are all normally standard across the board. But I've got to give this place a shout out. The interior is actually really clean and there are plenty of tables to sit at (normally I'm used to questionably dirty take outs with one or two tiny tables). The portion for take in is amazing! They give so much and it's not drenched in grease, which I appreciate. The prices are phenomenal with lunch being $5.50 and dinner around $7 for massive portions. The owner was very friendly and my food came out within 5 minutes. Overall highly impressed and would definitely go back. I think I found my new favorite Chinese take out. Highly recommend you guys try it out as well :)

Yelp
Lady on the phone is rude. The food has gotten bad over years. Just found a nice juicy bug. I'm done with this place.
google avatar

Maury S.

Yelp
We ordered the large portion of BBQ ribs and fell in love all over again with Panda Garden. Just superb - finger licking good. Any Chef Special will delight, but yesterday, it was all about the ribs.

Tim N.

Yelp
Classic go to Chinese take out place. Always reliable. I like the boneless spare ribs and dumplings. Delivery can be slow however.
google avatar

Peter V.

Yelp
Order the wonton soup. I was hoping it was going to be as good as the one that I had when I was living in New Jersey. That's all I ordered.
google avatar

Lillian T.

Yelp
Not happy at all. I order food, went there on my break to pick it up, repeated my order when I got there, get back to work and it's the wrong order. I called, no apology, nothing. I had no time to go back to change it, and it was wasted. I was only told, "ok, I'll let her know". A different response would have warranted more stars, I won't be back there.
google avatar

Beth A.

Yelp
Best Chinese in Stamford and I'm from New York and am very picky. Fast delivery and always great quality!
google avatar

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Great Chinese! It's everything I ever want in a solid Chinese take out night. They're also very fast.
google avatar

Lunch P.

Yelp
Best Chinese Food in Stamford. Great lunch specials. Big fan of the boneless spare ribs, General Jensens Chicken, and Chicken and Broccoli w/ Garlic Sauce. Check out their General Jensens and be sure to order it the next time you go, you wont be disappointed.

Wong W.

Yelp
If you like fried fat with syrup on it for $5 an order I guess this is your place. Ordered food once during a power outage because it was the only thing open and threw it away. The people who gave this place a good review would probably pay for a plate of crap as long as it's cheap. If there were minus 5 stars this place would get it!!! The truth by Wong Way
google avatar

L J.

Yelp
Tried it again to see if things have changed. Unfortunately, no. The shrimp roll was fine, probably because it is not made in house. The shrimp lo mein was awful. Shrimp were mealy. No taste to the sauce. It was not edible, and I threw it all away. So sad, because Elaine is so nice. And I used to love this place.

Frank L.

Yelp
Overall 2 1/2 stars--Visited this place and tried three dishes from their menu. The Chicken Chow Fun we ordered was probably the best of the three because it had a wok flavor to it. The Spicy Sautéed String Beans were cooked with a thick brown sauce and was not exactly what we were expecting; and it was so-so. The Hot and Spicy Bean Curd dish we ordered was neither hot nor was it spicy. Portions were large and the prices were low. Located in a strip mall, this place was small, reasonably tidy and overall just OK.
google avatar

Shari W.

Yelp
This is a traditional Chinese take out hole in the wall. They do have a section with tables, but I have never eaten at one, nor have I ever seen anyone else eating at one. They do a mostly take-out business. The Chow Fun (broad rice noodles) are greasy and slimy the way they should be. Their combination plates come with eggroll, fried rice and dish of your choice for approx $8. There is nothing fancy here. If you want healthy food or trendy food, this is not the place for you. I you want fast, tasty, Chinese comfort food, this is the place. I gave it 5 stars, not because it is a classy dining experience, but because I wanted traditional Chinese fast food and this place did exactly what I wanted, needed and expected.
google avatar

Francine H.

Yelp
My bf and I went here after a long search for Chinese food around town. Based on the other reviews, I thought we'd found a good location. We got egg rolls, chicken chow fun, and bbq pork & broccoli with rice. The food was decent, but it didn't hit the spot for me. Definitely not the best Chinese food around, but it will suffice, if need be.
google avatar

Jack D.

Yelp
I worked right next door to the place. We ate here once a week. Great portions, consistent taste and if you go enough, they remember what you order while you walk in. Service is fast. The Kung Pao chicken and the General Tsao's are quite tasty. Prices are great for lunch. Wide selection on the menu also. We always walked there and ate in but the parking lot can be a nightmare. This is utility Chinese - tasty and affordable but not 5 stars.
google avatar

M T.

Yelp
This is our favorite Chinese delivery restaurant. Large portion of food with really good rice. It is a little on the sticky side which tastes better than the regular jasmine rice. Very extensive menu with lots of variety. This may not be the best Chinese food around but you cannot beat their delivery service. It is quick and food always gets delivered hot and fresh. Good value food. We typically order from here every two weeks.
