Let me say this about the place, the food comes fast and they have some healthy-ish options. Is it pretty? No. But I'm not bringing my wife here for our anniversary. I'm stuffing food in our gullets so we can watch that darn cute red panda for just a little longer!

Order 2 orange chicken dishes for $30. Looks good. God awful. Don't do it. Sauce is ok. Chicken like sawdust. Bring your own food.

The best panda views in the Zoo, at least when they were there

This is your basic tourist attraction food court - although we live nearby and are not tourists. Pizza, fries and a few other things, so kid-friendly food. Pizza is good. We usually stop there. Bring a water bottle to refill at one of the refilling stations because bottles of water are expensive.

Not many animals out at the National Zoo when we went , but we got there around the afternoon feeding time of 1:30-2:00 so that might be why. Very nice that it is free. Not a lot of restrooms throughout the park, but if this is the place I think it was, then it had the best restrooms at the Zoo. sis eat there ..actually didn't think it was even open. Nice afternoon for my family.

Had a slice of cheese pepperoni pizza that was nice and large. It was baked just right with an even color all over, and the crust was just right with plenty of pepperoni.

They only sell pretzels and ice cream. They were out of hot dog pretzels when we went. The cafe overlooks the panda exhibit but there are not many pandas in the summer since it’s so hot. We saw a panda very briefly and then it went inside.

Very exciting place to visit, they had wide variety of exotic animals, lions, tigers, panda bears, komodo dragon, croc etc, those are some of the many animals. Once you pay a parking fee of $25, it gave you access to see all the animal of you choice. Be sure to save up all the energy, because u surely gonna need it for extra walking, it was fun! Great for family, kids love it.
