P&T Knitwear Bookstore, Coffee, & Podcast Studio

P&T Bookstore in the Lower East Side is a gem. It’s got a great vibe with a coffee shop right inside, so you can grab a drink and settle in. There’s a big reading area that makes it easy to hang out for a while and really browse. The selection is thoughtful and the space feels welcoming—perfect for book lovers who want to take their time and enjoy the atmosphere.

Great local bookstore. I'm going to have to find their podcasts. Steve Somers was tonight's guest and a good time was has by all.

Attended a book reading here. The staff were very friendly. Loved that they had coffee and treats. Was very happy to support this minority-owned small business.

This is my favorite bookstore in the area. Of course the selection is great, but what makes it stand out is the warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff that is not only so knowledgeable, but is so willing to help. They’re also willing to hang back if you just want to browse, but I love getting their recs.

This is such a cool spot! And so needed! A beautiful bookshop with cozy reading nook to enjoy ones own company or meet up with a pal. Theres a nice cafe with equally nice people working and the space is unique… very much celebrating LES’s independent reputation rather than obscuring it. Theres a lot going on here with events and a live podcast studio right next door but despite this, its a space for quiet reflection, solitude and enjoying a moment- if one so wishes 🥰

P&T Knitwear is a fabulous bookstore/cafe/event space/podcast studio with a great vibe and an interesting back story. The atmosphere is industrial but warm, with an awesome collection of books across all ages, genres and price ranges. Bargains abound, and I love their giftware! It's an incredibly chill place to hang, with cafe and amphitheater-style seating and delicious coffees and treats to purchase. The staff is knowledgeable and professional and is ready to assist or give you space to explore on your own. Highly recommend for readers of all ages!

Newish bookstore with a great selection of books, including children's, YA, and an impressive mix of academic and trade. The books are well-organized and the store is comfortable spend time in. There are risers for seating and a café in the back. They host a variety of local events, which are worth checking out.

I'm am so happy I found this bookstore. They have a great coffee.
