As usual, the food at Panera Bread is typically good, and freshly prepared.
At 10:00 on a Wednesday, there were surprisingly several people there, and more waiting behind me.
I went to buy a gift card for the family of some accident victims, and decided to have a spinach and artichoke souffle with a cup of hot green tea with ginger and honey.
The food was warm and looked good. After I paid for the food, I also purchased the gift card. The staff working the register couldn't figure out how to make it work. Seven minutes and a manager later, I went to get my hot water and tea. No hot water. Fortunately, a worker happened to be passing by and got some hot water for me.
It's hard to get, and keep, good help.
Finally, after sitting down to a semi-warm souffle, I enjoyed the snack.
