I came to this location recently to get some carryout. My car broke down and was in the shop, and I looked at renting a vehicle. It was a ridiculous price to rent a car, so I was without a car, and my buddy was giving me a ride home from work. In hindsight, I should have downloaded the app and ordered before arriving. I don’t think they prioritize people who are there vs. online orders. I ordered the Deli Turkey Sandwich and the Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup. Both items were delicious! What I hated about the visit was that it was 20 minutes from the time I ordered until I got my food. This brings me back to the online orders, and Door Dash was booming Other than the wait, everything else was great!

I went there to today to meet a friend for coffee and grab a bite to eat since I was starving. I went to order and there was absolutely no soup available and no milk for coffee. So I ordered a bagel and cream chez only for them to tell me they were out of bagels too. I asked for a refund and at first they weren’t going to refund me for the cream cheese. They did refund me but I was so disgusted by the whole experience. The tables were all dirty and the garbage can was overflowing with trash and dirty plates. I’m confused how or why they are open.

I came in with my son and ordered a breakfast sandwich, smoothie and a latté. Waited 20 minutes to receive our order, only to find the sandwich was made wrong. The lady was incredibly rude and dismissive about it, never offering an apology. We waited another 10 minutes for it to be remade correctly. Upon receiving the sandwich again, I politely asked for it to be packed in a to-go bag (since we were now late from the inconvenience). She immediately snapped at me harshly in front of my son and the many customers standing around. She reprimanding me for requesting it after the fact, and that I should have told her earlier. It was a humiliating and awful experience to say the least. Not only was there no free bakery item added for messing up our order, nor an apology, but I was yelled at and humiliated in front of everyone. I walked away in utter disgust with our plate and no to-go bag. Is it that difficult to hand me a to-go bag if it's too much of an inconvenience to pack it for us? The worst show of unprofessionalism I've ever experienced anywhere. I emailed the manager about this terrible experience. He replied promptly and was very kind and apologetic. He offered to mail me some meal vouchers as a compensation. I appreciated his apologies and I accepted his offer but then never heard back from him, even after a few attempts to follow up. I never did receive any vouchers in the mail. Definitely won't be returning to this location. The service is the worst of any Panera Bread location I've been to.

I just want to share how nice Mike was regarding my issue. I ordered rapid pick up and I was to get my free bakery treat. I walked back to work and it was not in the bag. I called Mike to let him know. I wanted to get it after work and he said no problem and that he would add a free meal voucher. Now mind you, I was not looking for that but it was such a nice gesture. I just wanted my treat that I earned with my Panera points. Thank you so much Mike and I really appreciate the phenomenal customer service!!

Usually the food is good, even though the wait time can be excessive. However, today we found several pieces of plastic in the French onion soup we ordered. The restaurant was notified right away, they apologized and we are waiting for the refund now. For those who ordered the soup today July 7th, please be careful especially when giving it to kids, who can easily choke on this.

This Panera is dirty. The floors look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a week, it’s gross. And the bathrooms are nasty. The beverage area is sticky and filthy. And this is at 10 in the morning. Management needs to get it together. I will not be back

Ordered a Southwest Caesar salad to go from the Kiosk. Looks like two basic Caesar salads from a gas station and couldn’t even be bothered to put it in one salad bowl, I know it’s a to go order but come on Panera…it’s missing 3 other ingredients. Oh and all of this took 15 minutes to make and they forgot the chips. Never again

Panera Bread is glorified hospital cafeteria food and I would have rather eat anywhere but here. I had a $25 gift card to spend at Panera Bread. It's not somewhere I've been in probably 5+ years so free food is free food ... Or so I thought. Boyfriend and I each had a pick 2 meal (soup + half sandwich.) I signed up for the rewards account to get a free pastry item and another bakery item to help finish up the gift card we had. Something told me that we wouldn't be back for another 5+ years. He ordered the chicken noodle soup and chicken bacon rancher sandwich. I had the creamy chicken wild and rice soup with the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich. I had a bite of my boyfriend's sandwich first and immediately spit out my bit. It tastes burnt and as if the oil on the oven/toasted needed to be switched. Because my sandwich didn't have the same kind of bread, I thought my sandwich wouldn't have that same tastes. WRONG! It tasted even worse. How can you screw up sandwiches that badly?!! Thankfully we had our soups (cream of chicken and wild rice was actually really good) to help fill us up. We both enjoyed the kitchen sink cookie and a bite of the cinnamon crunch bagel that we had. Needless to say we won't be here again. All that food for $25 and it simply was not worth it. Please don't waste your time here.

I've been here a couple of times, but this I think is one of the worst panera in the area. The staff tends to be unpleasant, and the orders are many times incorrect or much smaller than other locations. It's quite dirty too, both inside and the outside tables.

Too worried about mopping the floor then serving customers. Wanted to get my wife a sandwich after being in Beaumont ER for 7 hours. No one was at the counter so I tried using the cute kiosk. Placed order THEN the employee walk up and said they have no bread!! Ummm this is Panera BREAD right? Ok give me money back. Had to wait for the manager to get done moping to confirm my refund. Very bad customer skills. We'll never stop here again.

Food is good despite being kind of pricey. Their business model is crazy. *No one at the cash register. Have to wait 5 minutes to talk to someone. * Display is hard to figure out. * Says "Pick 2". What the hell does that mean? After 5 minutes of waiting to find an employee, come to find out that it means two entries for 2.00 off, but not obvious anywhere that is the case. How do they expect to have any business? THey are catering towards milleniuls or younger. Old people can get lost.

I am not a big review writer; I feel everywhere is just trying their best with the 4 people that show up to work. But today I have to say was excellent. I go to Panera's all over Michigan and this was by far the best Panera experience I have had in years. I feel like many of them are rude and the places are dirty, I mean really dirty. But today was different, the store was a bit old but clean. The staff was awesome! I ordered the wrong thing, so totally my fault and the manager came out because he wanted me to have a nice experience, how often does that happen at a Panera??? So I am not sure who the young man was, but it was at the RO Location at 10 on Thurs 8/1. But thank you!!!! You made my day! The back of the house staff was really friendly and always smiling. It was just nice to see, keep it up RO Pamera, I will be back! :)

Well, if I could find another Panera near me that the delivery I would definitely go someplace else I order two Mediterranean veggies from this particular café on Woodward we could go I asked for, so I'm gonna contact me in regards to the order I received, but I haven't heard a word contacted the store. Can you get a hold of a manager I kept getting told manager was busy or manager wasn't there. The sandwiches I received were horrid I asked for extra greens on this particular sandwich I got four teeny tiny pieces of lettuce. There was no hummus on it no feta all I got was two pieces of tomato and two pieces of cucumber. That was it and the three or four little pieces of greens this is not the first time this is happened and like I said, this is the only one I know around me that delivers, and the only one near me because I do not drive, but anyway, this café needs better attention to detail you. And they need to pay more attention, and also the bread that I received for this particular sandwich was stale

SKID ROW PANERA BREAD. Why is it ok for folks to walk in loiter, use the microwave to warm up food from outside of Panera. Absolutely disgusting. Not too mention the wait times are insane here. Always running out of stuff. Close this location down already. Feel for the employees which for the record show up on occasion with results in the lengthy delays. Go to Southfield RD location where people enjoy their jobs and take pride in helping customers.

Grub hub and Uber eats people calling their clients to apologize for the delay. Full knowing that is will reflect in their tips. Lock the doors and burn it down and build a Chick-Fill-A. 37 mins for a bowl of soup? Come on!!

First and last time at a Panera Bread. It was my first time so I didn't know what to order so I ordered the Smokehouse Chicken sandwish ($11) and a drink ($3). Since the place is called "Panera Bread" I'm expecting some freshly made bread at least on the level of Subway. And since my meal was $15, I was expecting a good size meal. I was with family and 3 people came to nearly $50. I unwrap my sandwich and it's this ground up chicken, very small portion, with friggin BBQ sauce dripped on it. ON WHITE SLICED WONDER BREAD, like I'd buy at Kroger for $1 a loaf. It's like a sandwich you'd pay $2 at 7-11. Except worse. And $3 for fountain drinks? How is this place even in business? My family bought the soup and it's in this 4" wide cardboard cup. When did soup become a high margin item?? This big black woman was wandering the store and kept asking how everything was. One of us asked why they didn't have cookies in their display and she says "I'll go check". Never saw her again. Well I can say I went to Panera Bread. Never again. Certainly not this location. My guess is that it will get a lot of new traffic because of its location, i.e. at the corner of a light and near the hospital. So it can probably be total crap and people will keep coming.

They have always been super slow, and the place is always empty. It's gross in here and the place needs a good cleaning. So sad

We attended during the recent Woodward dream cruise. They had a table sitting outside to sell coffee and bagels, but we went inside to get more variety. My friend went to the counter and ordered, but was told sandwiches were unavailable. I went to one of the ordering tablets and was able to order a sandwich. The food was on time and tasty when we picked it up from the pick up window. Because of the cruise, everything was served in bags even if dining on site. The staff was polite. the ordering tablets were all dirty and one of them was sticky. It took several attempts to get the card reader to read my card. They did have an employee cleaning the tables. It wasn't the best Panera I've ever been in, but it wasn't bad either. Especially considering the employee shortages during Covid time. The bathrooms were clean

My understanding is they moved out of the BHam maple location back last April and moved to the Woodward corners. We have come here since they moved for their caffe mocha, which isn't bad and when in a pinch and unable to go to a coffee joint. Have had their salads as well, not bad. It's a good location and so close to Beaumont hospital, should have more people frequenting from the hospital at least.

This location has been steadily declining for the past year. It needs to be shut down. I placed a to go order after a several month hiatus and will not order from here ever again. The Greek salad was less than 1/4 filled with ingredients haphazardly thrown in. I waited for over 30 minutes only to have the staff ask the name on my order for the third time and say "oh, it is right here." It was not in the rapid pick up shelf or even on the counter, but rather behind the counter. When I asked why it was not out, I was told they no longer keep them out because orders have been stolen. This is not the case at any other Panera location. On top of the less than 1/4 filled salad, the staff is consistently rude and lacking any sense of urgency.

The first time here? FIVE STARS! The guy at register repeats order 3 times to ensure correct order, which I like. Fast forward 2 months. I tried the mobile app. I ordered my breakfast sandwiches and drink through the app, and it gives me a ready time of 7:35 a.m. I PURPOSEFULLY showed up 5 mins late. Took an additional 10 mins. Not great.

You're better off driving to another Panera, even if it's 3 cities away, than waste your time or money at this location. Orders are almost always wrong or missing something, beverage carafes are typically empty or no cups or lids in stock, and many (not all) the staff appear annoyed if you quietly ask them for like, a cup for the $4 iced tea you ordered.

On Tuesday I placed my order at 6:05 and I still didn't have it until 7:45pm. This is the second time in the past two weeks I've had to wait almost 2 hours to get food. They still got the order wrong - thank goodness I checked because they missed 2 soups. I can tell they are having staffing issues - but they need to have a system where they can shut off online orders or give actual time estimate so people can decide. The last time I watched the staff keep making orders that it turned out were cancelled which kept them behind and wasted so much food. These delays are not good for a "fast casual" place and since the prices have gone up so much lately - not worth it!

On 10/11/23, stopped at this Panera at 4:10 pm for an early dinner. They were out of baguettes, tomato soup, and a couple other items. The store was far from busy, but it was dirty. Definitely recommend choosing a different Panera next time.

Worst service; nasty and unpleasant! Didn't have sauce to make the bowl I ordered at 11:00 a.m. (obviously before the lunch rush started) so they just reported my app order as fulfilled, took my name off the board and left me sitting for over a half hour. When I asked what happened to my order the lady behind the counter said 'we're out of the sauce for the teriyaki bowls' and then just stared at me like I should just go away now. I said to her 'well I paid for it, so what are you going to do now', and she just ignored me. Fortunately, one of the food prep ladies heard what was going on and came to the counter and was very helpful and friendly and she offered to make me a different bowl right away and did. No one ever apologized or offered to explain why they took my order, took my money, and then just deleted my order without bothering to say anything. When the replacement bowl came up the original nasty lady put it on the counter and called out my name. I took the bag and walked away with her yelling 'Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!' behind me in such a tone and manner that it was quite clear she was really yelling 'F--K YOU! F--K YOU! F--K YOU!' at me. The whole time I was in the store I watched customer after customer with screwed up and missing orders and the nasty and unpleasant woman behind the counter and the 'food prep boss' behave the same way.

A tiny bowl of warm garbage. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and what I got was fatty dark meat chicken and it tasted horrible. You can see the pics of the menu item and what I got. This is garbage and Panera is not cheap! The bowl from their menu looks full and what you get is not even close.

I ordered for curbside pickup. When I got there I let them know I was there via the app. After 15 min. No one showed so I went in and grabbed my food. Was annoyed, but it happens when you're understaffed and busy. I will say, the girl waiting next to me got there before me. She saw me go get mine and got out of her car and walked to the door using CRUTCHES. She did curbside because she was on crutches and Panera made her walk far and try to carry a bag of food back to her car. What really upset me, was how the salad I ordered was not what it was supposed to be. When I tell you this is my favorite salad and I was BEYOND disappointed after a rough week. It was supposed to be a Southwest Chile Lime Ranch salad. The dressing I was given was a vinaigrette dressing. The salad itself was mainly arugula with a few tortilla strips, maybe 8 beans, and 3 kernels of corn. No onion or proper creamy dressing. I don't understand why someone would put that kind of dressing on a southwest salad?? A shame. A REAL shame. (Photos below)

Overall score 3/5 It's Panera! I ate at Panera almost once a week back in college. When I have cravings for onion soup or the Asiago bagel, I usually go. Today's trip I wanted to try out the newly opened Panera to get an Asiago Cheese Bagel but sadly they were out. There did not seem to be any cashiers and everything was tablet orders which to me is efficient, but leaves room for more questions than effectiveness when food is out. But I love the concept and places over seas are like that. I also ordered the green tea and cookie which brings back memories. I got a salted bagel instead which was suuuuuuper salty and still leaves me wanting to come back for the Asiago Bagel...

While I *want* to bump them up to a second star, because sometimes the food is good, I just cannot. This is the newest Panera Bread in the area, and it is also, *by far*, the worst Panera Bread I have ever experienced. Management is extremely poor to the point where I wonder how they're even employed, much less as "managers" of others. It's incredible how little work gets done with so many employees. It's not as though they have to contend with anything special, either. The crowds are way down since the pre-COVID-19 days, and they *still* cannot handle getting food (like, say, *soup*) out in a reasonable amount of time. It. Takes. For-stinking-*ever*. There are *plenty* of people at work, doing what seems like absolutely nothing. This has been the case since the day they opened, and has never improved. How is this even *possible*? Don't come here unless you have oodles and oodles of time to burn, and *don't* come hungry. In fact, better yet: let's just keep it simple and say "Don't come." I guess they thought that by opening by Beaumont they could get away with running such a crapshow...but there's a decent PB fewer than 3 miles away. I'd rather go there. Heck: I'd rather go *hungry* than to go here and spend my money on these idiots. Please don't bother going here. If you do, you have been warned.

I usually like Panera, but would avoid this location. Store was not clean and it took a long time to get food. They had to remake my sandwich and it was still wrong, but edible so I just gave up and ate it. The head employee seemed nice, but overwhelmed, while the other employees looked like they could care less. Avoid this place, the one on Coolidge is much better.

Good for what it is, moderately priced and not too bad on the calories. Panera will fill you up, not cost an arm and a leg and most importantly, you won't feel bad after eating it. I come to this location when I'm in Michigan visiting family, staff are usually very attentive, friendly and quick wait times. Only downsides for me are the parking in Birmingham and the seemingly incessant noise from high school teens who're at the place at the weekends. I also think it is slightly overpriced.

I come to this location out of convenience but today was the clincher. I can deal with the lack of product (supply chain issues I get it), the higher than usual wait times (listen nobody wants to work for peanuts at fast food I'll be patient.) But when my feet stick to the floor as I walk because it hasn't been washed or deck brushed I can't. It's just not sanitary at this point.

if i could give no stars i would, but i wouldn't doordash or online order from this place. Me and my family did so $90 or so dollars worth in food was tooken off the shelves by somebody else other than me ! Next time I will definitely just order there and wait to get my moneys worth!

This location has some issues with not enough help - long wait times and disorganization. Food was cold (was not supposed to be!) when picked up. Consistently disappointing...
