While I *want* to bump them up to a second star, because sometimes the food is good, I just cannot. This is the newest Panera Bread in the area, and it is also, *by far*, the worst Panera Bread I have ever experienced. Management is extremely poor to the point where I wonder how they're even employed, much less as "managers" of others. It's incredible how little work gets done with so many employees.
It's not as though they have to contend with anything special, either. The crowds are way down since the pre-COVID-19 days, and they *still* cannot handle getting food (like, say, *soup*) out in a reasonable amount of time. It. Takes. For-stinking-*ever*. There are *plenty* of people at work, doing what seems like absolutely nothing. This has been the case since the day they opened, and has never improved. How is this even *possible*?
Don't come here unless you have oodles and oodles of time to burn, and *don't* come hungry. In fact, better yet: let's just keep it simple and say "Don't come."
I guess they thought that by opening by Beaumont they could get away with running such a crapshow...but there's a decent PB fewer than 3 miles away. I'd rather go there. Heck: I'd rather go *hungry* than to go here and spend my money on these idiots.
Please don't bother going here. If you do, you have been warned.
