Panera Bread

I think this place is over rated like cheese cake factory. Pay a lot for not so good product. I’m a cook for a long time so when we come would like at least half decent lettuce or Romain not wilted and old getting dark green and wilted. Pay a lot for what??? I ate the meat and fruit strawberry’s were kind old and mixed it with old straw berrys we can tell you know!!

The drive thru at this location is usually very slow, but the employees working are nice. Unfortunately once I got home to eat my breakfast, it was a disappointment that it was burnt. For an item over $7 I was really hoping it would be A LOT better.

Came here with my wife but didn't quite make the breakfast deadline. But let me tell you, if the lunch is that good...we will definitely return for breakfast soon. Before any other words are written, let me please acknowledge Nancy at the front counter for being that extra special employee! Super helpful, professional, courteous, patient and very informative about the menu as we are still new to Panera! The ordering was quick and easy at the kiosks. Food was served just the way we wanted it. Seating was comfortable and spacious. We look forward to returning and enjoying some more great food items soon!

The employees were super kind and friendly to my kiddos and me. Definitely coming back to this location. Food was yummy and my favorite was the braided pastry lovedddd it.

My daughter was feeling sick to her stomach so we went here because of the soup. We both enjoyed the sandwich and the soups. First time to this location. Would recommend it to my friends.

I have ordered many sandwich trays and Always Delicious! Order is always on time and Panera Team Always kind, Friendly and Helpful! You cannot go wrong for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner!

I have been coming here for about 6 to 7 years, just as well I am also not the easiest customer. But some of the key members here had made it really special for me, especially Kevin, and Colleen. And the store manager, Evan. Kevin really made my day special today, and I feel that it will impact the rest of my weekend and this will always be my Panera

Overall, it was good. $90 for the meal for our family. Overall the food was ok, and the soups we ordered were lukewarm. The sandwiches were ok,and the strawberry salad was very tasty. The pizza 🍕 was flat bread and got cold before my daughter got to her 2nd slice. Our kids said the pizza from 7-11 was much tastier. The spicy chicken sandwich 🥪 was way over priced for such a small sandwich in size. It was very tasty according to our son. The lady at the register, Amanda, was very very helpful. My points were not recorded in the app or on the website, the manager and staff were very friendly but, could not get the issue resolved. 🤔 $90 worth of points. Smh.

I love Panera for a great lunch option. Their baked items: bagels, breads and pastries are delicious and make for really good meals. Their sandwiches are so good and the salads and soups are all delicious as well. I love the pick two option where you can choose a combo of any two sandwich, soup, or salad in smaller portions. The combination options are endless and they always use fresh ingredients. My favorite bagel is the cinnamon crunch when I want a treat to take home but their cookies and pastries are wonderful as well. I've been a rewards member for years and they give you really great perks. The service is great at this location and always seems to have a well staffed food prep station ensuring offers are completed quickly. The dining room is always clean and the decor is fresh and inviting.

Panera oh Panera, I'm confused on what overall rating to give you. So I'm rating each part then deciding. You have always been higher in cost but usually around 3 or 4 dollars when compared. But the food was really good, very few mistakes and the feeling of treating yourself. Then prices went up, amount received went down, seemed quality went down and frankly a lot of what I enjoyed disappeared. I don't want to pay for have chicken in every salad. Yes I can remove it and still pay for it. It used to be you could sub another protein or the price went down slightly. Rant over. But now you know my mindset going into this. 5 star for your Chai Tea Latte....it is by far the best I have found in San Antonio. Beats Dunkin, Starbucks, Dutch brothers and CosMcs. In fact it unfortunately was only that and a fresh baguette that kept me coming. I had several very underwhelming orders where I was hungry afterwards so stopped getting food from you. However the new spicy steak Asiago bagel meal looked tempting and there was a bogo offer, so figured I shouldn't be hungry after. Let's take a chance. I got one as it came and the other I changed the bagel and toppings to my liking. I have to say I was very surprised, happily surprised with both the taste and filling. Loved the steak to cheese ratio and flavors of it. One was enough with the included chips. So I put my custom one in the fridge for the next day. I'm giving it 5 stars and hoping they keep this on the menu. The one the next day was reheated in the microwave and still very tasty. I'd get this again and again. Tasty and a good price. Now I recently had steak sub at subway and this small sandwich not only tasted 1000% better but was more filling than what I got there. So encouraged by this and with colder than normal temps here. I ordered the ciabatta cheesesteak. It too hit the spot and had a great taste. I thought it a little small for the price but like my description of the steak bagel it was great tasting and 5 star in taste. So I've been eyeing the Cranberry Chicken salad sandwich. You discontinued the former chicken salad with almonds I got all the time. And on a duet with half a chicken salad with a soup, months ago, I barely got 2 tablespoons of filling on my mostly arugula sandwich. So I would look at it and sigh as I picked up my chai tea latte. However after the success of the steak bagel, I just had to try it. So glad I did. The taste was great but a little light on the chicken salad and 2 inch tomato slice, where do they find such small tomatoes? I'm afraid the amount of actual chicken salad brings this star count down to a 3 star. Much better sandwich filling to be found at Chicken salad chick. At almost 9 dollars I expected more. Now pastries the pecan braid was nice, nothing special but nice. Had a good flavor and hit the pastry spot without being too sweat. However the cherry pastry was way way overcooked. You could see all the layers but it crumbled when touched and the pieces I tasted were burnt. So bad if it had not been temperatures in the 30s and 6 miles I would have driven back with those pieces. But hey, I was warm, fed and comfy. So again a 3 star between them. Panera you are still confusing me. Some things are back at top and worth treating yourself by spending more but others are below what you can get cheaper elsewhere. Just a little more chicken salad, the flavor was fine, so it was not so thin and it would have been worth the money spent. I am encouraged by the Steak bagel so I will keep trying things from time to time hoping you get back to where you were. Yes I know prices and costs went up. They also did in the food places competing with you. So 5 star for the tea, 5 star for the steak bagel, 5 star for the ciabatta cheesesteak, 3 star for the chicken salad sandwich. Average 3 stars for the pastries. So 3 1/2 stars for this series of visits. 3.9 stars overall Jumping back in to post a couple of photos and say that Panera offered me a couple of coupons based on what I had ordered before that did bring the cost down. So check out the app for offers. I enjoyed the cake slice a lot and got another ciabatta cheesesteak at a reduced price. Made my tummy and pocket both happy.

This is my go to place when I need a bowl of chicken noodle soup! The staff at the drive thru are always friendly at both the speaker and window. It's definitely just a fast food joint but I've always been please with the food and service.

I have mixed feelings about this location. The drive thru employees are always friendly and my order never has issues. But if I order or pick up inside, my order always shows as ready when it's not ready yet (meaning they cleared it off, but it's not ready), and I can stand at the counter waiting for my order (that isn't actually ready but says it is) for too-long, people walking by, and no one says a word to me. And half the time there is an error with it anyway. Really frustrating.

I was in the area. I stopped to use my SIP subscription. I got my usual: pomegranate and hibiscus tea. They always seem a bit too watered down. I also had the oatmeal cookie and it was delicious! The best part of Paneras is their staff. Cody served me at the window and he's a 5-star! Well done!

Small drive thru here for a little snack not the fastest but it is what it is, I love Panera their Buffalo chicken sandwich is the best!!! The service was pretty quick and it's a chill vibe through and through

This used to be my goto, 5 star place, but my visit today signals a drop in portion size and food quality. In a nutshell, I always get a broccoli cheese soup bowl but this time it was a smaller, watery portion. I left hungry. It tasted alright but it isn't a good deal for the price anymore. After reading other recent reviews I realized this isn't a one-off issue, but a new policy. Bad move Panera. Do better.

Went through the drive through around 7pm after work, there was no line in the driveway and no cars really in the parking lot. I waited about 4-5 minutes before I was answered to take my order. I just got off a 12 hour shift so I drove home about 10 mins away and upon looking at my food I was pretty disappointed. Bread was rock hard, my chicken avocado BLT had... one sliver of avocado... and my green goddess half salad had one half sliver of avocado right of top too... didn't take a picture because honestly didn't even know it was supposed to have avocado until I looked it up after... pretty disappointing because I love Panera but everytime I go it gets worse. I wouldn't recommend this location. If you do, do yourself a favor and double verify your meal.

3.5 stars. The kiosk ordering is so annoying, it was backed up and too many people waiting, not all kiosks were working. Tables were not cleaned. The food took forever and the orders were missing items. The food tasted good once it all arrived. Plenty of seating.

Food is good , . Everything is freshly made . Its a gourmet deli.Do not expect large portions of your food . I think food is good for people rushing to get back to work . Service is organized . This place I went to is small as it is located in the mall.

I ordered the new sandwich an I got someoneels food it was good but mad I did not get sandwich

Everything I've gotten here I've enjoyed. I went again this past sunday and got the avocado chicken egg and chipotle breakfast sandwich with a caramel crunch latte and omg I want to have breakfast here everyday!! I was really impressed with the coffee, it was really good as well. I ordered online and it was ready faster than the time given which I appreciated! Everything was correct in our order and it was really easy and convenient to be able to go through the drive through to easily pick it up.

I don't eat at Panera; I've have always had bad experiences. My wife had a gift card, so we went. I ordered a Toasted Steak and White Cheddar sandwich based on the online photo posted with this review. I received the most anemic sandwich I have ever seen. When I spoke to the manager, she wanted to give me another sandwich. NOT A CHANCE! Corporate would not refund my money because I ordered with a gift card. NOTE: The receipt has a comment at the bottom, "Accuracy Matters." I'll leave it to you to create your own opinion. One Star...could not select zero stars!

We get delivery from Panera quite often and it has always been delivered in a reasonable amount of time and tonight was no different. We got the 2 menu option. The first order was French onion soup and half of a ham sandwich, the other ordered item was French onion soup and half of a steak and cheese sandwich. The onion soup was so flavorful and came with cheese, croutons, and a baguette. The sandwiches were warm and delicious. The delivery see is only a $1 and again time was reasonable. This is perfect on nights when you come home from work and don't know what to eat. The options allow for people to choose what their tastebuds are craving,

I spent a lot of time at this Panera Bread location this year. It served me well as a quick and relaxing place to grab a bite to eat while preparing to teach a night class at Northwest Vista. While I was there, I learned the Texas based franchise owner sold the locations to corporate. I'm hoping that's a positive. The seats are worn and the place is showing it's age a bit but I do appreciate how cozy it is. The little nooks provide privacy and were exactly what I was looking for. Also, joining the sip club meant I never had to pay for a drink and they often offered additional discounts on entrees as well. Lastly, I really enjoyed the tomato soup and greek salad value duet. I don't think you can find much for $5.99 that can compete with this in terms of freshness and balance.

I'm admittedly not a huge Panera fan mainly because I don't think the price is worth the amount of food nor the quality but today really surprised me. Our food was so good, way better than I ever remember Panera being. My Caesar salad was probably one of the better Caesar salads I've ever had. My husbands green goddess salad was the perfect thing after finishing a 5k and splitting the chipotle chicken sandwich was just the icing on the cake. I'm used to their sandwiches being mostly bread but this one was packed with toppings, sauce, and yummy gooey cheese. I also don't remember them having all their different drink options but majority of them were really good. I still think this place was pricey, but at least the food was really good this time. I didn't give 5 stars mainly because the place was pretty dirty. We ended up having to clean our own table and most were left with tons of trash and the bathrooms were disgusting.

Where do I begin? I love Panera, but this location is just aweful. I've been to this location twice, and let me tell you the first time I had to walk out and find a diner nearby. The tables are never cleaned or wiped down, they're always a mess. The bakery is ALWAYS out of everything, No bagels, no cookies, no bread. One time they were out of a bread and asked if I could substitute it for something that doesn't even make sense or made the sandwich tasteless. The cooks or prep line is goofing off and talking too loud. I'll go to 1604 loop, that one seems to have it's business in order.

Sometimes we buy the sweet bread and it taste sweet and moist and there's other days mainly on Monday and Tuesdays that the sweet bread is dry. other than that good customer service.

Well idk how much I paid for this not so full salad but my total was $15 something with two cookies. You'll ought to be ashamed of this little bit of lettuce in this bowl you're calling a full salad! I can only imagine what half looks like! I should've just went to Five Guys!

DONT USE RAPID PICK UP! I love panera but they just don't have the rapid pick up perfected yet. I have tried it twice and both times my food was not ready and I had to wait TWICE THE TIME to get the order. They had to "remake it". Also, It takes so long to get someone's attention at the counter and when you do they never apologize for the inconvenience. JUST USE THE DRIVE THRU!

used to be good, new baker made it bad. bagels were extremely tiny and tasted expired not fun

I'm really confused as to why there are so many bugs on the inside. At my small table that I sat at, I squished a red ant, a spider that was hanging from its web ON MY CUP...then I also saw a month flying, a fruit fly, a line of ants in the crevice and spider webs in the corner of the windows. I normally won't complain if I eat outside (obviously bugs would be involved) or if it was one tiny fruit fly...etc. However, this was one too many for me. This place needs a deep deep clean, all hands on deck field day. I wouldn't recommend this location until they clean it up.

This Panera Bread is the worst. I love Panera bread too. Been through the drive through for the fifth time and they always either forget something or have given me the wrong order. How does one mess up that bad. First mistake was ok, I get it, but it's constant. Check your orders before driving away. They're quick to give you your order and close the window so I'm left there waiting and waving someone down to notify them of the mistake or forgotten item. Laziness and lack of attention to detail kills my craving for this. The food is good but the service is mediocre at best. I'll tolerate mistakes here and there but this is becoming the norm. Not all Panera Breads are like this. Seems to be just this one on 151.

TLDR: everything is fine, nothing stood out, average panera experience. I feel like i give a lot of three stars for places, but let me explain. Three stars (TO ME) is "yeah I'd come here again but it's nothing special." And that's how I feel about this Panera. When there are things that I know I can't control (i.g. corporate mandated things) im not gonna dog on any particular restaurant because of it. For instance, typically I like to try new things at Panera, so I got the broccoli and Mac n cheese bread bowl. I didn't realize how little broccoli and Mac n cheese i would get in comparison to bread. I know that portions (roughly estimated) are not something the workers can control. Either way it goes, the food is good, the place is clean and the workers were quick to clean tables. There were a lot of ppl here (relatively) but I got my food within 5 minutes max. No picture and I didn't get a receipt today (the day I remember to do either of those things is the day pigs fly) but I paid a little over ten dollars. The only main thing I have to say is that there's a small section is the back that wasn't off limits, but there was some fan probably drying up a leak or something. Don't quote me on the reason it's there, that's all alleged. - Deez :P

First time at this location. The wait was a little long. My bagels were burnt. Drive thru guy was nice.

Went about 2 hours from closing. Dining room had a lot of debris on the floor throughout. They were out of baguettes and the food didn't have that fresh taste to it. Not to mention my mac n' cheese was about room temp when I got it. There was nobody working the counter when my brother and I entered, so we went to the automated order machines. Way to outsource your job.

Same complaints. Sandwich meat was super dry and bread was stale. The staff was friendly but he food isn't worth the price anymore, at least at this location.

The food was good the service was I got a grill cheese and and a chocolate muffin and a cinnamon roll:3 and Jonathan was very nice and helped me 10/10

I had ordered this to go. The people were nice and made sure everything was correct before giving it to me. I never really been disappointed with the bread here I always enjoyed it and tastes better versus going somewhere else that dont really put much effort making sandwiches. Can be pricy here but the sandwiches look very nice and they didnt put alot of sauce on it so didnt get soggy which i prefer. The Mango drink was good and I liked the brownie and mac and cheese. Also ordered chicken noodle soup that was decent. The cookies were alright ordered a few different ones for family. Even though they were big they did break easy. One thing I didn't like was that instead of putting the cookies in a little bag they just shoved it in the big bag with the sandwiches and they all did break. I probably wouldn't come back for the cookies but for the sandwiches I would. Good place to go outside typical greasy fast food places.

I stopped here twice on recent mornings. The order takers have both been nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and making recommendations when asked. My concern, and reason for two stars, relates to the thug like demeanor and attitude of the food makers I have encountered. They are not friendly when calling my name and I do not appreciate my bagel just being thrown on top of my other items like it's a napkin. Panera please correct. See picture.

Worst service ever!!!! The food wasn't too great but the service was worse! A worker on site ( Esteban ) was rude and inappropriate. Will not be returning.

Yeah, I got sick right after I ate here. I had the broccoli and cheddar soup and a cheese flatbread. The employees were outside right beside the drive thru smoking cigarettes. It was a lot of red flags, I won't be coming back.

So I got the pick 2, and had it delivered, I had the strawberry poppyseed salad with chicken and the half frontega chicken. Fist time eating both of them and they were really good. The only thing was it took longer then what it said and also the sandwich was a bit cold but other than that it was good:)

Charge me twice for lunch I paid with a Credit card and they told me something happend with that payment and made me pay cash. That was the weekend. Come Tuesday I noticed they did charge my CC called on the phone and manager told me they can't go that far back! Is been 3 days! I offer to send the picture of the receipt that has the payment in cash!! They told me to GO to the store with the receipt!! I live in another city!!! Manager then says to call after 2 pm when there will be another manager! What a joke! I will dispute with my CC but what a shame they can't fix something that simple.

First to start, this was a quick in an out, ordered inside for take out. I always like to order at the counter, but Panera does offer order on a tablet/self serve order. Cashier was super friendly and patient. Ordered the turkey avocado belt and the Mac and cheese grilled cheese, along with a Levon braid. Mac and cheese grilled cheese looked amazing, but was honestly underperforming. The noodles were messy and sliding out of the bread. Could use some work in the seasoning and construction, but overall not dissatisfied, just room for improvement. Turkey avocado blt was moist and bacon was on point. Pecan braid was soft and sweet and a nice touch to the end. Inside was pretty occupied but not too noisy. Got the food fast and enjoyed how clean everything was.

You can never go wrong with eating at Panera ! I've had different kinds of sandwiches to there Mac N Cheese ( which is delicious) just the right amount of cheese . For most of my visits I usually get broccoli and cheddar soup with a baguette and 3 extra ones !! Someone that worked her a couple years ago (she may still work here ) told me its cost efficient just to order a baguette thinly sliced you get more for your money . Which is amazing because I love bread I end up eating it through out the day and next day ! The times I've been here the customer service is awesome , today wasn't that day . I was the only person in line to order and the assistant manger Oscar was on the front of the register texting and didn't even notice I was standing there for a couple mins until he finally put the phone down and looked up . It seemed like I disrupted what he was doing !! As I'm writing this I got my soup but was missing my baguette and the extra baguette. I ended up getting the extra sliced baguette after I was already done with my food . Which is pointless now because I wanted to eat it with my soup. This five star review just went down the hill and I'm very disappointed.

I'm a coffee club member and if you are on the fence, it is worth it! Their food is also delicious and the staff is always very friendly. Some times of the day are busy but you still get your order fairly quick.

This has to be one of my favorite Panera locations in San Antonio. They usually have two cashiers open along with 6 self serve kiosks. The lunch hour rush line moves very quickly. The service is fast and on point. I always get the Southwest Chicken salad and my salad bowl is always filled to the top and mixed. I have been to several other Panera's and always get the same item. You could say I am in a Panera food rut. When it gets chilly out, I throw in the vegetarian squash soup. Divine!! It is smooth, creamy, and rich. The added crunchy baguette goes perfectly with this soup. I have been happy with all my visits here 5x and will continue to frequent this Panera location. The parking lot on the backside can be a hassle during lunch rush. You frequently get stuck with drive-through cars lined up and blocking the cars trying to leave. Always park on the side or front of Panera.

So I just stopped by to get a plain bagel with honey walnut cream cheese, a simple and small order in the drive-thru. My bagel had a green smear on the inside and they gave me plain cream cheese. This is something relatively small, as in nothing to be all mad about but really :( just sad I bit into a gross bagel and wasn't even the right cheese I wanted. Really disappointed and honestly a little defeated because I'm not going to go back to a store just to complain about this.

We often come to this Panera due to the amazing drive thru , once or twice they may have got an order wrong however today when I physically went in a cashier named Annabell had the best customer service I have seen in a very long time . She inspired me to get on google mid meal to leave a review ! Way to go Annabell thank you for being awesome

Great food but the computer ordering is awful. Staff was very friendly. The food is healthy.

Guys. Really. I ordered the "You Pick Two" on Uber Eats and got the half roasted Turkey and avocado sandwich plus half Caesar salad. $7.19 for the half Caesar salad and THIS is what I got. Looks like a $3 add on at a diner. Total rip-off. Don't order online go in person. Panera is a family favorite of ours but we will NEVER order online again.

I have not been to any Panera in a long time, and we just bought a home in the area. So, I gave it a try. It's super close to our house. So disappointed. The guy through the intercom was impatient and rude and for 12 bucks I got a tiny little bowl of Mac and cheese some stale bread and a squashed sandwich. Gross! I'm never going to this one nor any other one. If you like Panera at least try a different location.

When you are traveling, and staying in the middle of nowhere, it is good to find something you can recognize. I give them 3.5 for having the ancient grain chicken salad, that's what I needed, but big turn off was an apple had a big hole... (like nail scratch), am sure I could have go to the counter to replace it, but I was too tired (red-eye flight & two hours driving from Austin) and people working there weren't really friendly, so I did not feel like going through the hassle. But still better option than panda, nachos and burger, so I wanted to make a comment to let friends know, if you are looking for a little bit better and healthier choice, this place is the best bet around this area.

Stopped to pick up a light lunch for work. I got a cup of French onion soup and the Green Goddess salad. Everything was very good and hit the spot. My stomach was satisfied and not over stuffed.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Terrible customer service and the kiosk takes your money, your order disappears into cyberspace, and all the manager says is they can't find it. Let alone the money was still deducted off of the card. The manager on duty around 12:30 said it's nothing he could do and doesn't know what happened but yet...our money was still taken. Beware of this place unless you want to get robbed with a side of awful customer service. Even told the manager to check the cameras to see that we paid and the cashier walked over and seen that we paid!!!!!!ZERO STAR SERVICE. I don't understand how it's an 2.9 but that still understandable.

Do not eat breakfast here. I have never been in prison, but I bet this food is like that. The breakfast sandwich is on French bread, dry eggs and shoe leather sausage This food was cooked without a soul. I've seen happier employees at the DMV. I should have thrown my 20 bucks out the window.
