We had a delightful dinner experience at this excellent Punjabi restaurant located in the heart of Frisco Square. The convenient location, mere steps from the Cinemark movies, makes it a perfect spot for a pre- or post-movie meal. The standout dishes were undoubtedly the Sarson ka Sag and Makki di Roti. They were exceptionally authentic and flavorful, a rare find in the US, and truly brought back fond memories. The Bullet Naan was another highlight, remarkably soft and delicious. Regarding spice levels, their 'medium' leaned towards mild for our palate. Next time, we'll definitely be opting for the 'spicy' option to kick things up a notch! 🔥 While the Samosa Chaat and Parotta were well-prepared, they were, in our opinion, just average. The restaurant boasts a pleasant ambiance, though the lighting could be a bit softer to enhance the dining experience. One minor point to note is the service speed. Our main dishes arrived before the appetizers, which we found a bit unusual. To avoid this, I recommend ordering appetizers first and waiting to place your main course order. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic Punjabi cuisine and convenient location. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Decent overall place. Might go back after some time again. Good quality and taste decent overall - I guess I like the deserts and naan quality in comparison to everything on the buffet. There’s nothing really I could complain about the food taste as such but wouldn’t say nothing really felt like I should go back soon. Justifiable based on the price. May be will go soon for the chat as such and try out. The grill stuff could have been better.

We did go to Panj Tara restaurant with family of 5 and we did got seating with in 5 minutes. Food quality is very good and they did serve delicious food. We ordered veg and non veg for some of friends. Paneer Tikka, Gobhi Manchurian, Lemon drink, chana masla, daal tarka and other items all were tasty and kids too enjoyed the food. Owners are nice and friendly and we're ready to accommodate Vegan and Gluten free food options. Overall it was a good experience and we would like to go there again if we go to Dallas in future.

We recently visited the newly opened Panj Tara restaurant in Frisco, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was authentic Punjabi, and every dish tasted like it came straight from a kitchen in Punjab. The parathas were the highlight perfectly crispy, buttery( home made style), and served with all the traditional fix-ins like raita and pickles. The rabdi jalebis and gajar halwa were blissful. You could really tell the care that went into each plate. A special shoutout to Ashi, our server, who made the experience even better. She was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations from the menu. This place is a real gem for anyone craving authentic North Indian cuisine.

Had the buffet it was very good! I don’t eat Indian very often. The food was not very spicy, and I’m sensitive to spicy food. The service from Sri was very good. Their buffet has plenty of variety and compared to the standalone entrees an excellent deal at $23. It’s not inexpensive, but not expensive. If you aren’t sure if you’ll like Indian food and want a way to sample different entrees give them a try. Again the spiciness is set to American levels to be broadly palatable. Lots of flavor. Definitely a recommend.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Panj Tara Indian Restaurant! The appetizers—pakoda and crispy chilli baby corn—were flavorful and perfectly spiced, setting the tone for a great meal. The mains were equally impressive: the malai kofta was rich and creamy, the kadi pakoda comforting, the baingan bhartha smoky and delicious, and the sarson ka saag full of authentic Punjabi flavor. Each dish was fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone craving hearty and authentic Indian cuisine!

A good spot for delicious, non-spicy Indian buffet - Panj Tara! I've visited four times for their lunch buffet, as I'm not a fan of the thali system where you have to constantly call for refills and wait. They also have a bar to enjoy drinks. Both veg and non-veg options are impressive, but the prices are steep. A buffet for two costs $51, which is a bit excessive. To make matters worse, they also charge a service tax, which we find unacceptable. Still, the food is great, but the pricing and extra charges is making us think if we should make this place our go to stop .

Definitely 5 stars. Service was great. Waiters were friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. And they also had some tasty looking drinks from the bar. Now, along with Sake Tori, my 2 favorite restaurants are in the little Frisco square. Goat Rogan Josh. Tika Masala. Garlic naan. Mango Lassi. Goat naan. Papad with cumin seeds .

First time and got a chance to try their weekday buffet. They have decent options for 17.99 for adult and 10.99 for kids. The vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers were excellent! The naan served at the table was warm and soft. The veg and non-veg curries were fairly standard. Jalebi was a delightful addition to the buffet, and the gulab jamun was delicious. Rupee beer was great. However, the fruit salad/ custard seemed a bit watery

"The perfect place" for Punjabi food. From the food to service to atmosphere, everything is amazing. I have been here almost 5 times now and I can vouch that the food is great. Soniya took great care of us. We ordered online from Panj Tara with a discount promo code in The Community newsletter. We asked for extra spicy and they delivered for the most part. The Lamb Roganjosh was flavorful and spicy but the Garlic Naan was tough and difficult to chew.

Our server was Asma, who was extremely sweet and attentive. Frisco needed an authentic North Indian restaurant, and this Punjabi restaurant is the real deal! The chole bhature are Delhi style - spicy and delicious. The chicken tikka masala with the butter naan was rich and full of flavor. We were very impressed with the freshness of all the dishes. They truly tasted made to order and were piping hot. Really love the ambiance. It's family friendly and contemporary. It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the food plus great service makes this a must visit. They have lunch buffet every day which we will be back for!

This restaurant is the perfect addition to the downtown Frisco area! The interior is beautifully decorated and makes for a perfect dining experience for dates or outings with friends or family. Pride of ownership shows in the cleanliness of the entrance, dining area and restrooms. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and do their best to make customers feel right at home. The food is some of the best Indian food that I have had in years! Everything I sampled from the buffet was fresh and flavorful! There were ample dishes to enjoy and fresh naan was delivered to the table to prevent it from getting soggy on the bar. I was truly impressed with the quality of the food and with the level of service at this establishment. I had a wonderful dining experience and will undoubtedly return to try out some of the other dishes sometime in the near future.

Food - So fresh and delicious. Love the convenience of a fresh buffet. Lots of chicken dishes. Makes it easy for a non Indian diner to try different items as I don't know all the names of the dishes. Service - Friendly and fast. Shout out to Asma and Yogini for being so friendly and kind on my first visit. Ambiance - Awesome casual and fun vibe with cool artwork on the walls.

Overall, pretty terrible. It took 10 min for the host to even get our name, mainly because he is being host, cleaning tables, and being behind the bar. It went downhill from there. The buffet selections were dire; there was virtually no chicken in the dishes, the rice tray was always empty, and we had to ask 4x for naan. The buffet was also a mess, with curry everywhere and no one even attempting to keep it clean. Half the staff was wandering around aimlessly, and the left hand didn't know what the right was doing. What's worse, they automatic add a "service charge" despite terrible service. It's clear they are trying to go for a "trendy" vibe instead of focusing on what actually matters. The food I ate was decent, but the overall experience and headache was not worth returning.

Wow, delicious! Stopped in on a Sunday night and ordered goat biryani and aloo matter for takeaway. Shoutout to my man Kendrick at the bar while I grabbed a drink and waited for my food. Cool cat!! Food actually came while I was mid-beer, so I had to finish the glass and bounce. Nice place, recently remodeled and clean. Five out of five stars, would recommend.

Every single thing I tried here was fantastic. We had the weekend buffet and there were so many options, including ones for vegetarian or pescatarian follower. The restaurant is extremely clean and even the buffet never looked messy. The servers seemed a bit short or maybe annoyed but they weren't rude, just not friendly. They're in a great location in Frisco and hopefully will do well. The food here is amazing. We did not order off the regular menu since we wanted to taste test everything, but will if we go back for just dinner instead of the buffet.

Best North Indian food in Frisco. We were there for Sunday brunch. Amazing spread of tasty food, covering both veg and non-veg options, starters and main course. The desert was great. Amazing personalized service. All in all a fantastic experience.

In town for business and my co workers wanted to eat Indian cuisine. I am of East Indian descent and I did not pass up on this. Food was delicious, naan was served warm with melted butter. Curry lamb was my favorite thing on the lunch buffet.

We went to Panj Tara last month around Valentine's Day and I absolutely enjoyed the experience we ordeee the paneer tikka starters and this was absolutely soft and amazing. We also got that malai kofta and the sushi paneer gravy along with amazing garlic naan! Will def come back again but the prices were on r the higher side

We came here for our Sunday lunch buffet. Amazing Indian food specialising in Punjabi food... great ambience, great service, the food overall is so yummy, fresh and authentic with not too much oil and grease. You won't regret coming here. Love the taste.

I recently tried this spot for dinner and went with carryout--and I've gotta say, it was a solid choice! The food was tasty, the portions didn't disappoint, and the quality was definitely on point. When I stopped by to pick it up, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the space is--modern, clean, and welcoming. It was a bit quiet inside (to be fair, it was a weeknight), but I'm really hoping more people discover this place soon. It deserves some local love!

We've lived in 4 different areas of our beautiful USA & we just didn't appreciate the access to all the great cuisines until it's gone. I haven't had great Indian food since my friend moved & took her mom with her. Cooking Indian food is a daunting prospect for me...so many gorgeous fragrant spices...it just has to be complicated, no? Thank you for the many varied dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked & delicious. My husband & I did a little happy dance...& it's close by. Service was attentive & gracious hosts. Tips: *go early or make a reservation bc it will get crowded. Large groups too. A sign of good food is when you see lots of people who grew up on this amazing food going to this restaurant instead of one of the many other offerings. *street parking is limited but there is a large free lot off a side street. *I do not mess with Indian or Thai spice level. Their medium is my 5 alarm & I love spice. You can always add spice later if you have the need.

We tried Panj Tara in Frisco, near Toyota Soccer Stadium this evening. Great Punjabi restaurant in Frisco. It was a pleasant surprise. Very welcoming atmosphere. We ordered Hariyali Chicken Kababs, Shahi Paneer, and Palak Paneer. We ordered Butter Naan's and Garlic Naan as well. Food was yummy ! And authentic Punjabi flavors. Maza aa gaya bhai! The Butter Naan's were amazing. Soft and actually tasted good. I will definitely go again. Planning to go for their lunch buffet next time.

The choley bhaturey was bad. It was kaala chana with lots of garam masala. Not good. We also had a paneer appetizer which was ok.

I ordered dinner for pickup. When I picked up the food, one item was missing. All of the food, worth $200 was in plastic bags, so there was no way for me to check. When I called next morning to provide feedback, the response was so aggravating, that prompted me to write this review. The guy on the phone says, "why didn't you call last night when you noticed an item was missing?" Then he proceeded to "fix" the problem by saying that "you can come to the restaurant to pick up your missing item." This response was after I told him that I live 40 min away from the place, and the dinner party was the previous night. He just didn't want to offer a refund. When I asked for a refund, he said that the lady who took the order, and packed the food, is not at work today, and he will have to check with her before issuing the refund.

We have been here several times and every time we enjoy the food and drinks. The food is always fresh and flavorful. The service is great and the staff is so friendly. The restaurant overall is amazing. We went there yesterday for Mother's Day and even though it was super busy, the quality was food was still amazing. We will keep coming back.

True north Indian restaurant in an easy accessible neighborhood. Food was flavorful and fresh. Gol gappes were the best we had anywhere. My kids loved their malai chicken. Owners are cordial and accommodating! Must try for your next dine out.

Glad we found this place! Food at this Indian place was on par with the best of them and n the McKinney Frisco area. Interior looks great and the staff was very attentive. Some of the best lamb korma I've had.

We opted to have a buffet here and I must say most of the food was sitting there with not many people visiting. The appetizers were dry specially they are best when served hot but they were kinda cold. The food preparation was just OK and it seems same curry/sauce was used for multiple curries that didn't really bring in much flavor to the plate. The goat was cooked separately and not in its own curry since its lacked / missing flavor. They have tried to give it a punjabi touch but the flavors are lacking across the curries / appretizers. Only thing good was samosas and naans served hot.

Food was very delicious but for vegetarians the range was limited. Only gravy vegetables were in the buffet and they all tasted the same. Food tasted more on the sweeter side. I felt it is definitely over priced. Ambiance was good. Gulab Jamuns were yummy but

They were so busy we decided to do a Togo order. Jp was kind and attentive to bring our order to us and wow!! Baigan Bartha had the amazing roast flavor. The kadi pakora were 10 out of 10 and gajar da halwa was delicious. Can't wait to come back !! I really hope this North Indian restaurant can stay consistent with their flavors and we will keep coming back

First time visit tonight, great location, nice atmosphere, all staff were very friendly and the food was great. Lived in the area for 3 years and have struggled to find an Indian restaurant we love but had a great meal tonight and will definitely be back.

We were looking Punjabi restaurant and tried Panj Tara over the weekend. The food and drinks were so good and so the staff! They were friendly and made the food as per our spice level taste. We also got some Indian sweets which were very yummy and taste was like I am eating in India fresh mithai. I would highly recommend anyone to go and try this restaurant. We are planning to go during new year eve with our friends.
