Absolutely delicious Indian and I really appreciated the four spice levels with the curry dishes. The lassi was so fresh and creamy, I probably could have had 3. Service was so polite and helpful, too. I'll definitely be back!

Had the Chicken Tikki Masala ordered it HOT and it was cooked to perfection!! I ordered lentil soup to start which was also amazing and Poori bread...everything was amazing!!

Best Indian food I’ve had in western ma. Strongly disagree with anyone saying NOHO has better options. Have had one experience where the food was sub par so the cook may impact experience but generally VERY GOOD and consistent Indian food. I generally get the same food so can’t speak to everything on menu but the matar paneer, saag paneer, Chiken tikka massala , samosas are all fire. Veg jalfrazi also good. Fav is matar paneer. Naan is as expected and the coco naan is delicious when eating spicy dishes. Lamb and shrimp dishes are not my fav from here as well as not the best malai kofta I’ve had but that’s why I repeat the above recommendations because they are some of the best I’ve had in the US. Highly disagree with the one star reviews that comment on bad food here. I recommend they need to give it another shot. This place is incredible and I’m grateful they are in Springfield. (I always like to read the 1 star reviews just to see what people are saying) .. A little expensive and service can def be hit or miss but I generally get takeout. HIGHLY recommend if in the area and you like Indian food. 🥘

As someone with celiac disease this is one of only two places in the area where I truly feel safe eating. The menu is clearly labeled for gluten free items, and the staff actually understand what gluten is and can answer questions confidently instead of guessing, which I really appreciate. I have never gotten sick after eating here, even as someone who is extremely sensitive to tiny amounts of cross contamination. For me this says a lot about their kitchen cleanliness and attention to detail, and it lets me relax and actually enjoy my meal instead of worrying the whole time. On top of that, the food is genuinely delicious and tastes homemade in the best way. I especially love the Indian pickles, they are clearly made in house and are absolutely incredible, so I highly recommend ordering a side of pickles with whatever you get.

Ordered Togo - I ordered medium heat, and it’s just below mild at the very least. No kick to it at all. No poppadoms, service was lackluster it seemed like I was interrupting a personal call, no utensils , no tamarind sauce , no green sauce no yogurt sauce no extras of anything in the bag. I wanted to try the food before I came and sat down. Drove 30 mins and won’t be back

The service was excellent, but the food lacked flavor. It needed at least double whatever seasoning was thrown in there. Unfortunate because I had raved about this place, and so myself and my friend were really disappointed with what we got. Great presentation, and again, excellent waitstaff, but the taste hit the mark.

Definitely enjoyed coming here for my first time. The service was very professional and they helped if you have questions about food or drinks. Definitely liked the veggie appetizers without and with the sweet sauce and spicy. The dinner platter yum I thought I wasn’t going to like it but i was wrong i liked it very much and dipping the bread into the sauce bonus.

Came into town to visit family and ate here! This place is nice clean quiet and the food is absolutely amazing! Lots of options! Spicy if u want spicy and mild if u don’t! Definitely recommend this place. Don’t jog but run!

My family of 4 had dinner here for the first time at 6pm on Valentine's Day. Parking was right on the street and it was metered, but the meter times end at 6 so parking was easy and free. It's a small place with just a few tables but we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered papadam, paneer pakora and garlic naan to start, with an amazing house chutney. All very good. They brought a carafe of ice water and glasses--only downside to that was that it didn't seem to be filtered and had a strong chlorine taste. They didn't offer bottled water and I don't usually drink soft drinks but ended up with a Diet Coke which was fine. We had chicken saag, chicken tiki and lamb biryani. The chicken was remarkably moist for white meat and very flavorful, as was the lamb. The rice was delicious, with saffron and toasted cumin seeds. We also ordered one beer and a couple of lassi yoghurt drinks that my boys raved about, though they didn't like them served on ice. There was enough left over for two lunches today! Our total bill was $116, which seemed quite reasonable and we'll definitely be going back.

Excellent Indian food. No NA beers, no lemonade. The area looks ruff, but we ignored that at 6:30 pm. Free park in front after 6. Update: I had the shrimp curry and my wife had the chicken curry. Both over a saffron - jasmine rice. A garlic nan on the side and I had a cup of lentil soup. Excellent on all points. I would pass on the soup next time, no lentils. Kind of a cream soup, just a lentil flavor.

We drove through the area and decided that Indian food sounded good to warm us up. I found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The inside is simple, cozy, and clean. The service was great and attentive with no issues at all. We ordered vegetable samosas to start and then chicken tikka masala, vegetable korma, and garlic naan for the main entrees. We ordered medium spice and it was on the lower end of spice but was still tasty. The food was flavorful and cooked well. The prices were also reasonable which was a bonus. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for a solid lunch or dinner spot!

Downtown Springfield, MA was somewhat lacking in terms of "nightlife" and restaurants. My date and I came here due to the walking proximity to our hotel. I checked out the menu online and the chicken paratha wrap caught my eye, but when I arrived it wasn't on the menu. After inquiring they told me that it was for online/to-go orders only, but they were nice enough to let me order it for dine-in as well. The wrap was tasty and contained a zesty sauce. Not sure when/if I'll ever visit Springfield again, but I wish this place well!

I ordered takeout for the first time and I couldn't believe how delicious the food was! The menu was clearly marked for gluten free and vegetarian options, the flavor was incredible, spice was modifiable and the food so fresh and yummy! I can't wait to order again and I'm scared that this place is right on my way home from work! Glad I found this local gem, it only took me over a year of living here to find it!

This was my first time here and I loved it. I came here with a friend on Monday at 6:30 and it was very quiet. We ordered the veggie samosas and the veggie masala. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got their garlic naan. Service was great. They constantly checked in on us and filled our water. I would definitely come back and try more of their items.

Ordered Veg Aloo Tikki and Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately aloo in the Tikki was stale. Smilarly chicken was hard. My server just shrugged saying he doesn't manage kitchen and can't help. I got excited reading the positive reviews, but ended up disappointed.

We happened on Panjabi Tadka when we were in town for a conference. What a wonderful surprise! Outstanding food at very reasonable prices. We ordered only vegetable dishes that were delicious. Try the garlic naan! The service was prompt and friendly.

They've changed the menu some, and some old favorite dishes have been dropped (one star off for the absence of the fish masala I came for) but the food is still good. Friendly, fast service. The restaurant has always had a pleasant, lived-in atmosphere with no pretensions. I think they do much more takeout business than dining-in in the evenings, which accounts for the simplified menu.

The food is absolutely delicious. I've had the vindaloo, chicken masala, jalfrezi, saag paneer, and garlic naan. It takes a while for some of it to be made, but they are always polite and it is worth the wait. It's a lowkey vibe inside. Tables large enough for a family dinner or small enough for a date night.

Friendly service, easy to follow menu which allows for many choices of several typical Indian favorites. Good relishes. Vegetables in hot dishes are not fresh. Prices are reasonable for good size portions. Hope people are aware of location - it is close to Student Prince.

The food was really good. Lots of flavor. We got medium spice on everything and it was pretty mild. But service? You're gonna get better service walking into a store with a bunch of kids working at the Holyoke Mall. They don't even speak to you when you walk in they just point in an area where you can sit . We stuck it out for the sake of date night and really did enjoy the food but don't expect more than 4 words from your server during the entire visit.

Staying nearby on business and I pulled up Yelp to find what was around. I quite enjoy Indian food and jumped at the occasion. It was a mere few blocks from my hotel in an area that seems to be revitalizing slowly. The entrance is nice with the cold weather climate staple of an entrance door, then the real entrance door. Minimizes drafts and is quite common. I arrived for a late lunch and was quickly seated. The inside (reason for the minus one star) needs a bit of love in terms of scuffed walls from chairs, well worn carpet, but don't let that detract you. I ordered from the lunch menu which was quite a good price and appealing. I added a glass of wine, a Cabernet from the menu, was just ok, but I wasn't expecting greatness. My meal came out surprisingly quickly, and it was delicious. The basmati rice was cooked to perfection and the Aloo Chole was at my request medium spice and very flavorful. Rich and intense flavors will greet your taste buds and make them dance. Service is friendly and they do a large take out business which seems to leave some guests waiting longer then I did. I'll be back given the opportunity.

Literally fire Indian food. The chicken Marsala and garlic naan are to die for. I'm not sure what service is like for dining in but I've always gotten take out and have never had an issue. Support your local businesses and get food from here!!!

Just ordered meat samosas with the tamarind sauce and they're ere delicious!!! Must've gone back to the original recipe!! My previous experience wasn't that good. But they made up for it with the Samosas!!

A great little place at 1688 Main. The first time I had the Shrimp Curry. Very good. But then I tried the Chili Chicken. Oh my goodness. So wonderful! Any served with fluffy basmati rice that is so fragrant. I've had that twice. And they have a nice selection of Indian beers.

Hmmm. I don't know why we went there. I tried this place 7/8 years back and it wasn't mind blowing but it was okay. I thought of trying it again. We ordered chicken tikka. It was so dry. I should have paid attention to the reviews where it said chicken tandoori was dry. Chicken saag- it was okay. Mango lassi- okay Very expensive and the food wasn't standard and definitely not how Indian food should taste. How can chicken be so dry and kebabs be so tasteless.

Good food if you're from out of town and seeking to purchase Indian food. Good service!

This is one of the greatest Indian spots I've been to in a long time! Only downfall is that they open late. If they opened for lunch that would be amazing!

I've ordered takeout while at work here multiple times. Their lunch specials are a fantastic price and the portions are huge. I continue to order palak paneer but have also tried chicken tikka masala as well as their samosas, pakoras and the mixed appetizer platter. Everything always tastes wonderful. Highly recommend if you are in the Springfield area!

Just moved from NYC and the quality of the food at panjabi is similar to my go to places for Indian food in New York. Definitely worth a try. They are very prompt with food delivery as well.

Best in western mass area great quality nice staff!! Get the muglai korma (chicken) and saag paneer. I recommend in addition the shahi naan which is very delicious to sop up your curry. If you want a meal that will blow your mind - add onto your order the lamb do piaza. Best Indian cuisine in Massachusetts! Momo recommended. A+

Slightly expensive but the portions are big! The food was delicious and the fact that you can request the spice level is great. The chicken naan is good and the curry was delicious. Overall, I'd go again so I definitely recommend.

We visit Springfield often to visit friends. Have tried some of the Indian restaurants here in Springfield, and in my opinion this was the most dissatisfied visit to any Indian restaurant. No wonder our Indian friends did not recommend going here. Don't get us wrong..the decor is great, the ambience is nice..eve the staff is very helpful. The food though...no wonder there are no Indians verifying the 4 star Yelp rating that this place boasts. Our lamb boti curry and the butter chicken preparation was exactly the same. These are 2 different preparations with distinct flavours. But here they looked exactly the same and even tasted the same. Granted that Indian cuisine does depend a lot on the preparation...if this restaurant's prep is the same for the 2 the waiter should have informed us. The chicken in the butter chicken was good. The lamb in the lamb prep was like shoe leather. So if you do end up here...stick to chicken. For appetisers...try to stay away from tandoori chicken. It's pretty dry here unlike the juicy tandooris we have gotten used to. For dessert we got the fried dough in sugar syrup...gulag jaman...tough in the center. I messed mentioning the daal makhani...lentils was not upto the mark either. The amritsari fish was good though. So unless you have not yet tried good India food...stay away from this joint. Try the other Indian/Pakistani restaurants.

I've been going here for years and mostly for the food. The staff is friendly. Service can be slow when they are busy. The food is delicious and the price is fair in comparison to some other places in the area. My husband said that their tandoori chicken is one of the most flavorful. I love their baigan bharta. Yum!

So rich in flavor and the price is reasonable. Very delicious. I had the veg korma, garlic naan and veg samosas. This is a small detail but what I love about this place is that rice was included. I'll be back for more soon!

First off, I rarely write reviews, so you know this place is ~amazing~. I ordered the chicken tiki masala in hopes that they could sub the chicken for chickpeas (I'm vegetarian) and they DID! Such a small gesture, but the fact they accommodated my request on a delivery/takeout order as well speaks VOLUMES to me. I would recommend this place to everyone!! The quality of the food is impeccable and it is hands down the best Indian food I've ever had.

I ordered through door dash for the first time and it was delicious. I found the prices to be reasonable I just wish there was a little more chicken in the tiki Marsala. Regardless I'm ready to order again already lol.

If you like spicy, clean, delicious food, and with Indian cuisine. Place to be at at all times. Sad that they have a small space but their dishes are great. Right off main st. Can't wait for them to get big.

This restaurant has the best food in town, authentic, flavorful, robust, delicious and the service is very professional and friendly. I have always had great service and amazing dishes drinks and desserts no matter what I order. Strongly recommended!

It's very very hard to get decent Indian food in the valley. My experience with Indian food is out towards Boston, where every restaurant really nails it. Out here in the Western part of the state, though, everyone makes their sabzi and korma totally differently. It all tends to be on the sweet side, with random nuts and raisins in food that really shouldn't have it. However- artistic licensing with food is totally fine. Panjabi Tadka, however, makes food the way that the Indian aunties and uncles who taught me to cook do. Everything is so homestyle (with the restaurant flourish of being creamier). Their sabzi is all amazing and not over the top 'shahi' style. If you go, try the papri chaat- it's so amazing. Their pakori are great too. The coconut soup is a wonderfully cardamom spiced slightly sweet soup perfect for starting the meal. We tend to get the chicken 65, or chicken vindaloo and have never been disappointed. If I remember correctly their dal makhani is great too. Out of every restaurant in/near the valley- this is the one that does it best. Forget the spots in Northampton. Also- to refute what another user has rated: Every time we come here, there are plenty of Indian folks eating here. Unlike the other spots, which are usually only white American filled.

The food was absolutely delicious! It was well priced and delivery was fast. We had food delivered to the hospital where we are for our son's surgery and they delivered fast.

I have eaten at this restaurant for many years, back from when I used to work for the newspaper office only a few blocks away. I would come here with my coworkers for lunch. The food and service has always been wonderful. Now that many of us are retired, we still get together occasionally and meet at Panjabi Tadka for lunch. The staff is always very courteous and friendly and the food is delicious. My favorite is the chicken curry -- the food just melts in your mouth. I wish I had their recipe because my own chicken curry never turns out this good! I always get a side of garlic naan bread, just right for soaking up the curry sauce on your plate. I can't wait to email my friends and set up another lunch date at Panjabi Tadka.

Excellent Indian food. Have gone once a week for a few months and keep looking forward to trying new dishes and old favorites. Very consistent and delicious. Accommodates a variety of diets. Friendly and exceptional waitstaff. Good for takeout or dining in.

I have been going here for years. It is the best Indian food I have ever had. Their Baighan barta is my absolute favorite of all time! The service is wonderful. I love Panjabi Tadka!

I wanted to provide an update. This is my 3rd time ordering during this pandemic within 2 months. I understand why others have mentioned the chicken breast used in the tikka masala and curry is dry and agree that dark meat could've been used, or maybe even given as an option. I disagree completely with the comments that this isn't real Indian food. Anytime I vacation, I always try out the local Indian restaurants and this is still my favorite place. With that being said, the ratio of sauce provided with the chicken and the heat (medium) gives it such a nice balance that I enjoyed it with the breast part of the chicken and wasn't missing the dark meat at all. The sauces are just so full of flavor, it is clearly addicting to me.

This Indian restaurant has exceeded my expectations. I usually get the chicken tikki masala or the chicken Saab which are exceptionally flavorful and delicious to say the least. This time I decided to dine in and had my eyes set on the Tandoori Dinner. Unfortunately, you cannot swap out any items but each aspect of the dinner added a different element of flavor regardless.The first item brought to me was the lentil soup which initially had barely any seasoning but as you continue to taste it, a nice, subtle flavor coats your tongue and leaves you ready for the next part of the dish: the main courses. Wow, was there a lot to take from! The portion of naan and rice was especially appreciated and covered up almost 2/3rds of the already large dish. Both were very tasty and the naan was my favorite addition. The vegetable samosa was seasoned well and provided a satisfying crunch upon every bite. The tandoori chicken was tasty but a little on the dry side. Eating the Raita along with the Rogan Josh was a delightful medley of flavor that married together perfectly with the naan as a vehicle. The mango lassi and the galub jamun were to. Die. For. I could have 3 glasses and 5 orders of the galub jamun if I allowed myself. Overall, great eats. Would definitely recommend and will be returning as a regular customer.

The order was fast and accurate. The food was delicious and hot! The driver had no problem finding my address. I will order again.

Writing to update my review of last night. Owner called tonight and apologized. Said they had been short staffed due to illness. He offered to refund our meal. I will only update here if that doesn't happen as promised. This place has been here for 29 years and I've been going to it all that time. I love the food, at least the two dishes I regularly get. The chicken biryani and vindaloo are great. As is the mixed platter appetizer. In the future I will ask them to call/text me when my order is ready as I'm only 10 minutes away.

These guys do well with Indian food if you wish to try this. The rice dishes are mostly very fresh & their curry dishes are premier & the apps are also good too. They got good choice of wines & beers if you want that. It's true it's a little small (62 capacity) but don't let this fool you.

Pretty good Indian food in downtown Spgfld. I've mostly gotten take out though I've dined a couple of times and the service was slightly on the slower side. I usually get the tandoori chicken and lamb rogangosh, spicy. The bill's usually around 35-40$ with a naan. Overall good place for Indian food.

Tandoori chicken is delicious as well as all sides.. I usually will order the chicken Vindaloo (spicy hot), but also enjoyed the $20 meal special with the tandoori chicken..so much that those are my two go to dishes..

We found this spot while visiting Springfield- what a gem! Went for lunch one day and had curry chicken and vegetable korma- great lunch specials! Both were absolutely outstanding. When we struck out on two other restaurants being closed, we were back here and ordered tikka masala for dinner and it was also fantastic! Highly recommended!
