Panlasa - Review - West Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"This Filipino-Hawaiian food stall in French Market is a solid option if you live or work in the West Loop, or don’t want to play snack roulette with the Metra cafe car. Panlasa’s small bites are great, like pork lumpia with dipping vinegar or musubi filled with spam or longanisa. But for something heartier, get the combo plate. It comes with two mounds of rice and two equally large servings of tasty furikake BBQ ribs or chicken adobo. And it’s enough food to last for two meals, or one delayed Metra ride." - John Ringor

Nice and friendly Filipino joint in the French Market. The vegetable lumpias was excellent, the sticky ribs and kalua pork were both tender. Wish there was a better selection of sides though.

Love this place! I had the bowl with the pork Adobo and it was out of this world. For a side I got the pickles. If you like pickles you will love these. The staff was super nice and answered any questions I had about the menu. I can't wait to go back!

I went with a group and we shared everything. It was so good! Loved all the pork and chicken dishes. Pork adobo might be my fave though. Loved the spam musubi!

Panlasa came highly recommended from a Philipino partner and I recently ordered a team lunch for 7. We all loved the lumpia, their Adobe pork was tender and juicy. Their plate portion is very generous, it can serve as two meals. The staff were friendly and welcoming, we really enjoyed their delicious Philipino food with a Hawaiian flare. Highly recommend trying them if you like Philipino food.

Panlasa in the French Market is a gem for a quick, flavorful lunch. I grabbed the pork belly rice bowl and a spam musubi. The pork was tender with a nice char, and the musubi hit that perfect sweet-salty balance. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Spent around $20. Only downside? Limited seating during peak hours. Still, it's a solid spot for a tasty bite downtown.

We had an AMAZING lunch here. Panlasa is hands-down serving the best Longanisa in Chicago. My dad is still talking about the Kalua Pork today. And I'd never pass on their Lumpia. We will definitely be back.

I had a great experience here, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was HOT (temperature) and YUMMY. You can "build" a bowl or plate with your choice of protein and side, they also have smaller meal options like lumpia.

Yelp
Good mix of Hawaiian and Filipino food conveniently located in the French Market. I like the spam musubi but am a huge fan of the kalua pork.
