Well, this was a nice surprise :). We only went here for a coffee after the local parkrun and instead uncovered a whole new way to eat pancakes. These are Pannenkoeken (dutch pancakes), which are similar to UK pancakes but with one major difference - fillings!
Instead of putting toppings on after the pancakes are made, things are baked into the actual pancakes, so they taste incredible. There is also a much bigger range of things to have with your pancakes - both savoury and sweet.
We went for the farmhouse one (cheese, bacon, peppers, onion's and mushrooms all baked in) that tasted amazing and also the Rotterdam special that came with an amazing chilli syrupy sauce that tasted great.
So this place not only gave us a great 'after parkrun' breakfast, it also educated us on how to make and eat pancakes. Pancakes (and our lives) will never be the same again :)
The staff were all very friendly and our coffees came with some lovely liqueur shots (like baileys with whipped cream on top) - how cool is that!
