Panta Rei Cafe Restaurant

I loved this place. We want there after seeing a play nearby. We sat on one of the tables outside. It took a while until they notice us, but once we ordered and they brought our cocktails, we were very happy. It was cocktail hour and some cocktails were just $3 or $5. Such a nice deal!

Home made pasta, was very good. I would recommend this place. Simple basic fresh ingredients, as Italian food should be.

Tasty drinks, ok food, but small menu and very long wait.

I had family in town and we had a great experience. The Lamb Chops were incredibly good and every pasta dish( of which I have forgotten the Italian name for it) were great. Fresh vegetables, Flavors that were rich and complex. * Michael was our server- he was very informative and quite charming. A great memory for us to keep in our family travel stories. And I am proud to be a San Franciscan. Good stuff !

I've been coming here for almost 20 years, and this place never disappoints. The staff is always excellent, the food is always delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is clean and modern, with great outdoor al-fresco dining as well as comfortable indoor seating with a view of the street. Bellini's and cocktails as well as beers are available, and the menu has something for everyone. Highly recommended.

My husband and I ate here on our recent trip. The food, amazing! The drinks, amazing! Our server went out of his way to ensure we had everything we wanted or needed. The manager came and sat with us for a bit. The bartender did all he could to make our drinks how we wanted. The server even ran out the back door to get another addition for our drink from a corner market. Customer service like no other and amazing staff! This is a must. My husband had the lasagna and loved it. I had the risotto and it was delish! Will definitely come back here again!!

Was in San Fran for business and stopped in for lunch with a family member. The waiter, Marco, was very nice and accommodating. He treated us like family and spent time talking about the menu. The food was great, my niece is a trained chef and really enjoyed the food and the presentation. I had a simple spaghetti and meatballs and it was wonderful! I can't say enough about the food and the staff, I told my husband we need to go to San Fran on vacation and make sure that this is one of our stops.

We walked in at about lunchtime and were happy to find seating inside. The gentleman who took out orders was friendly and approachable. They took our orders and quickly brought out beverages. We tried a bit of everything from the soup/pizza/Panini's all delicious. Would recommend this place to Italian food lovers.
