The food is always fresh and delicious. Great wine and cocktail selection. Extremely attentive staff. Great for special occasions. The pictures are of black truffle risotto (wife's fav) and homemade papardelle with shrimp, lobster and scallop.

Our first time here and we loved it. Think upscale family Italian dinning. Great food, tables for large groups and everyone talking and eating. Very warm and comfortable. We will be back to try more of the menu. What we had was fantastic.

Family was in town and wanted them to try this restaurant. I had been here a few times before and was never disappointed. This time was not the case. The restaurant is somewhat dated, and dark. Lights were too dim. Service was just ok this time. Server was slow getting to us. It wasn’t that busy either. Maybe short staffed. We had Cheese Ravioli, Meat Lasagna,Chicken Cesar Salad, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Veal Chop. I had the veal chop. I’ve had it before, but this time my chop was over cooked, very stringy, and I think they forgot to season it. The Cesar Salad was just blaze. Chicken was over cooked. I tasted my dad’s lasagna and I wanted to barf. It almost tasted like the meat they use in chef Boyardee’s meat raviolis. Just a weird taste. I didn’t try the ravioli, but was told they were good. The fettuccine my daughter said was yummy. Needless to say this time around I was very disappointed. I gave it a 3 star, because I’ve had and tasted better here.

Went their on a second date. Had reservations 2 weeks in advance came a little early. Hostess welcomed us, about half way to our seats she stopped us in the middle of the restaurant and told us they have to clean the table and get it ready. Told us to wait there. She never came back. Then a busboy asked us are we waiting for others, I told him no the hostess left us here waiting for the table and to be seated. He sat us. We got drink menus but no food menus. Took a half an hour to get a menu only after I asked the waiter. He was apologetic saying i thought you already got them. When I asked for menus the waiter under his breathe as he was walking away said that isn't his job and I replied, I don't work here. We ordered Appetizers he didn't come back for the main course order for another hour kept waiting. Finally ordered the mains. Food came out quick. I don't know what was going on. Too busy. Short staffed, staff mad at one another but it felt very unprofessional. Been there before too and it was great. But this time I was very disappointed in the service. Never going again.

Google
Fabulous Italian meal from beet salad, fresh bread and terrific Syrah blend to home made Penne and superbly made Casio e Pepe. Certainly not disappointing was the Affogato dessert which helped to create a wonderful night of dining. Staff was attentive and friendly as the spaced our meals so we could thoroughly enjoy the eating experience. The atmosphere in the room was comfortable and relaxing. On the list to return again for other dishes to explore on the menu.

Room - 5 Vibe - 5 Service - 4.5 2die4 dishes - 0 Dishes would order again - 0 Would go back - No Panzanella used to be a must go to. Not anymore unless you're ok with ordinary food. But, the home-made past was most excellent.

Google
Great restaurant! Has a very lovely vibe, especially the outdoor seating. Food was really good, I had the fettuccine Bolognese and it was delicious. Service was good, servers were nice. Overall a great place for an Italian dinner!

Yelp
We are so glad to have discovered Panzanella! Open for dinner only, we made reservations for 6pm and made the easy drive to Sherman Oaks. Parking is valet, but there was enough street parking when we arrived. The entrance is a bit awkward to find -- it's not the door on the street side. There you'll find a sign that directs you to the driveway. It's then a short walk about halfway up to a door that brings you into the bar area. We were welcomed as we came in and seated right away. Service was excellent from start to finish -- drinks were refilled constantly, empty dishes cleared, and utensils replaced with each course. It was paced out nicely and never rushed. We started with warm bread ($1.50 per person). Generous portions and that olive oil with tapenade was so good! We ordered the Polpette for our appetizer. It comes with 4 meatballs covered in a slightly spicy tomato sauce with tasty slivers of garlic. My husband dove into that so fast, I barely got a picture of one. :) Our main course -- Ossobuco, Branzino and Cacio e Pepe (our daughter's favorite) were all amazing. Beautifully presented, well-prepared and beyond delicious. The desserts were no exception. The Panna Cotta was silky and creamy. It balanced perfectly with the berry sauce and fruit. Generous portions and well-priced. Panzanella has landed on our list of favorites. We'll be back often!

Yelp
I wanted to like this place on the recommendation from my mother but unfortunately I wouldn't go back. It began with the most lovely welcome as we walked in which seemed to be perhaps the owner, manager and daughter. Here nor there they were lovely and so very pleasant. It was sort of downhill from there. First attempt to order drinks took a very long time... then they were out of Tito's so we went for another option! 3 out of 4 we're pleased with their selection. DO NOT try the Moscow mule. I've never had such a flat and horrible tasting mule. When I told our waiter he proceeded to take my glass to the bar and ask for bubbles to be added and then brought me the same fucking drink back filled with more flat water. No attempt to make a new drink??? Crazy! Then we wanted to order their famous pizza for an appetizer and were told the pizza oven is not in service. Amazing two strikes and we don't even have food yet! Then on to food. Fraser salad had NO flavor, I was not even offered Parmesan for my pasta during my meal although other more efficient waiters provided that option to other patrons. It would've helped the flavorless lasagna. The veal chop was good and the corn soup also was good but don't let the crab and corn soup fool you. There is one bite of crab. Lastly the couple we were dinning with asked since they had been drinking if they could leave their car in the restaurants private lot that we paid valet already for and they said NO. We proceeded to confirm the lot is just for the restaurant and even confirmed they would return before they open so there would not be a space occupied during business hours. This was a horrible stance they took. Basically telling a patron to drive home drunk as there were no options they were willing to consider. CRAZY!! Too bad that this was such a poor experience. I had high hopes as my mother goes here often. With so many great places I'd go elsewhere. Th

Yelp
My boyfriend and I dined here on Tuesday the 13th for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We did use the valet and the service was excellent there. The valet guy opened the door for both of us and treated us with respect. We arrived at 6:45 for our reservation and checked in. We were seated right away and the busser came up to bring us water and grab us bread to start (which they charge $1.50 per person for bread) it was fine since they let us know up front. Our server came over which at first didn't even realize it was our server since he didn't greet us or tell us his name. We ordered drinks and then he dropped them off after 10 minutes. We placed our food order, and the food came out in decent amount of time. The food was a small portion but tasted amazing. Unfortunately our server never came up to ask how everything was, never asked us if we wanted another round of drinks or even offered dessert once we finished our food. My boyfriend and I sat at the table for 20 minutes after our plates were cleared from our table by the busser. I had to physically get up and tap on our servers shoulder to ask for the check. The server was just talking to his coworkers while standing at the computer. Completely unacceptable. My boyfriend and I wanted dessert since we saw other tables eating them. We just paid and left. I tipped the valet guy more than our server just to show that when you treat people with respect you will flourish. My boyfriend and I ended up going to Cheesecake Factory for dessert and the service was amazing there. Will never be returning here. Our server had lightish brown hair and he was young.

Yelp
This is the real deal! Authentic, delicious Italian food done right. Elevated but taste like grandma is in the back cooking. I loved the live band playing music, the beautiful ambiance of the cozy, romantic room and the food!! I ordered an iced tea and a glass of wine. My bf ordered a beer, and our other diners had beer/ wine. They have a great selection of wine. We had a pizza as an appetizer and it was phenomenal! We all ordered pasta dishes and devoured them! I ordered a ball of Burrata atop my pasta and I could truly cry happy tears thinking about how perfect the bite of pasta was, the rich creamy sauce, and the balance to it all. This is a great spot for a date, celebration, birthday, etc! Bring the whole family so you can share more dishes! I had a salad as well and it was dressed perfectly. Highly recommend coming in and dining here! They have parking and valet as well. Our server was diligent and we were checked on many times by other servers as well!

Yelp
If you are looking for a non-steakhouse white linen table cloth dinner in Sherman Oaks this is your spot. Very old school and cozy and kind of reminded me of restaurants in Palm desert. The pappardelle and truffle mushroom ravioli sauces were excellent but the pastas were not au dente unfortunately. The artichoke salad was a little too simple for my taste. Bread and olive tapenade served at the table were excellent. If the pastas were au dente they could rival famous west side favorites like scopa, ospi, etc.

Yelp
What a difference a zip code makes when it comes to a restaurant's value! If Panzanella were located in Beverly Hills, the entire dining bill would be approximately 30% more expensive. You wouldn't be paying extra for swanky interior decoration or expensive real estate overhead; you'd be paying for a delicious, generously portioned Italian meal. I judge Italian restaurants based on their calamari preparation. We ordered grilled calamari, and it was absolutely perfect. The calamari was nicely grilled, with just the right texture, and it was served on a bed of arugula with cherry tomatoes. It made for a perfect starter to whet your appetite. Have I mentioned the portion size? It was enormous! It could easily have been served as an entree, like a calamari salad. The Ossobucco Alla Milanese was outstanding; the meat was tender, and the saffron risotto was creamy, soft, and perfectly seasoned. I love seafood pasta, and when I saw the Spaghetti with Lobster and Crab meat on the menu, I had to try it. Again, it was a generous portion with plenty of lobster and crab meat. The overall service experience reminded me of Italy - it had that typical leisurely pace, but we didn't mind it because it gave us time to savor the meal and enjoy our conversation. We never felt rushed to vacate the table for the next reservation. In summary, I would certainly return for another delightful Italian meal and the lobster pasta dish.

Yelp
My 'out of town' relatives and I had dinner here recently, and it was ... interesting. We had reservations, and were seated promptly. The food was quite good, and we had appetizers, main meal, and coffee with dessert. As this is a fine dining restaurant, we were all enjoying each other's company. UNTIL Management came over and asked us to leave - they had people waiting for our table!!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE behavior and class - less. We were there, from being seated, to receiving menus, to being served, and finishing, MAYBE 1 1/2 HOURS. That is NOT an inordinate amount of time to enjoy a meal - in Europe, I am accustomed to spending more than 2 hours for a meal, and often more, without being rousted. Shame on you. We will not return, nor will we recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Most disgusting place I've ever been. They forgot my sauces, messed up my order, the entire restaurant didn't have change of a hundred-dollar bill, since they apparently don't really do any business. The waiter hated my guts, actually made fun of me as I tried to joke around, and he was angry bitter and seriously incompetent. He didn't know the menu, he didn't know what steak sauce is apparently, eventually another waiter said they may have had A1 steak sauce but later told me they lost the one bottle they had. I tipped everyone a hundred dollar bill really trying hard to take care of everyone as the waiter not only kept insulting me and was beyond rude, but 6 times he asked me if my soda was to go. ???? What?? I told him 6 times no it is not to go. I literally had to leave before my meal was over since I was literally sick to my stomach from the disgusting waiter. As for the food, poor to mediocre at best. Ceaser salad looked like something from a hospital cafeteria, the asparagus soup was sour and again, disgusting, as was everything else in this place. What a nightmare!!!! Stay away!!!

Yelp
Amazing food and great service! Can't rave enough about how delicious it was and how much it reminded us of being back in Italy and we will absolutely be back!

Yelp
This place is magical. My husband and I had a much needed date night and we were blown away. We felt very relaxed. The waiter and busser were very kind and helpful. The lasagna had a pink sauce that was so yummy. Make sure you save room for dessert

Yelp
Fantastic Birthday Party! Customer service was outstanding! Prefix menu was delicious! Everyone had a fabulous time, trying to make a reservation for 18 people on a Friday evening was made with such ease! We will definitely be holding more events at Panzanella!

Yelp
First it was very confusing if the "self parking" for visitors of restaurant or not or where the valet parking is. When we got in a very nice lady greeted us . Our waiter was amazing . The ambiance had a chill vibe The menu looked interesting so we got the veal on bone and seafood pasta . The veal chop suppose to be medium but was delivered well done! Huge difference, not even medium well :( However the dish was still good. Mushrooms sauce was good and veggies were great. The pasta was more disappointing... While it came with basil leave on top, I didn't taste the basil in the sauce. While I saw chunks of garlic , I didn't taste fresh garlic. I didn't taste a tomato flavor In sauce either, it was too salty and saltines was killing all the flavors . The pasta itself tasted slightly undercooked. The quality of seafood used was kind of cheap too :( Mussels were tiny as hell , so the shrimp and scallops too. It was looking like frozen seafood mix I buy at trader Joe for $10 something dollars for the whole bag. Not $30 pasta plate quality . But still I didn't feel like I had a bad time... I will not come back for food but I would , if I'm in mood for pizza and wine .

Yelp
Unfortunately I was really surprised last night for the first time the server charged me the bread for each person which is ok if they bring 3 time the bread I don't mind paying but I ask the server why and he said we charger bread for each person and I said this never happened before cuz I come here regularly food was late really bad experience unfortunately

Yelp
Great portion of bread for the table. 1.50 per person. The bread is accompanied with a side of olive oil that contains bits of olives in it. Quite fun. The drinks menu was fun. A fair amount of wines but an exceptional variety of martinis. I ordered the pear martini which was slightly on the sweeter side but well worth it. The other cocktails had creative names but didn't try any. My sister ordered the Espresso martini and absolutely loved it. Restaurant was about 50% full yet the service was a bit slow. The staff was extremely kind but definitely moving at bit slower than average. The bolognese was amazing. 9/10. The gluten free pasta was also great. 8.5/10 Overall I enjoyed this place but would NOT come here if you're in any sort of rush.

Yelp
Our company Christmas dinner was last night. We had a private room with plenty of space to socialize. The food was very nice, but the real STAND OUT of the entire evening was the service! Juve was just INCREDIBLE! He did not miss a beat. He was so kind and friendly and wore a smile the entire time. You just don't see customer service like this anymore. So I woke up and went straight to my phone! Panzanella, you have struck gold here!!

Yelp
First time trying Panzanella this past weekend! I know they have been around a while now but it was so exciting to check out a Sherman Oaks staple I've never been too. My husband and I went for date night. The plan was to sit outside, but it was WAY too hot. We were easily accommodated inside. The patio looks lovely though! Would definitely like to enjoy it one day when the weather is better. This place has a very classic vibe to it. Waiters are all well dressed, white tablecloths on every table, low lighting. The bar isn't as impressive when you walk in, but it's all about the SMELLS coming out of the kitchen! The dining area can be a bit crowded as it's essentially just one giant room but we opted to sit at a two top by the kitchen. Drink orders were taken right away. We had one waiter who was in charge of drinks and bread (he was a hoot...I think his name was Laudio and he was amazing) and another waiter who took our dinner order who lacked a little bit of personality but was attentive nonetheless. We ordered some bread for the table (which comes at an additional cost), the hubs ordered a glass of white wine which was delicious and I got an iced tea. They were great about refills which is such a small thing but so appreciated. Bread was warm and delicious! It came with a delicious olive oil tapenade. We ordered the artichoke salad, wild boar pappardelle, and linguine seafood pasta. Loved the dressing on the salad! I thought the artichokes would be cooked, but they were really crunchy. It was good just not what I was expecting. The pastas were delicious! The sauces on each dish were so different and it was so nice to try both. The calamari in the linguine was AMAZING! Scallops and muscles were a little on the small side but there was a lot of it so it didn't really matter. The pappardelle pasta was delicious! Loved the meat sauce. It was very filling and flavorful. Overall, the pasta dishes were a big hit with us! Definitely look forward to trying more of their pasta dishes, salads and even pizzas! Someone next to us ordered the truffle pizza and the smell was to die for. Service was impeccable! Overall a very nice dining experience and very good food. I definitely recommend giving them a try!

Yelp
Love this local restaurant. Low key, great food, and great service. Ambiance is nice and cozy with a chill vibe great for any occasion.

Yelp
Overcooked lamp chop! Since when does medium rare mean no pink in the center? I asked for medium rare but what I got was medium well to well. My "mint" sauce on the lamb chop bare tasted of any mint. Nothing but problems with my meal. From the lack of proper set up when we sat down to the bad berries for dessert I had to send back. The staff couldn't seem to fill my water glass until I flagged down a wait staff person and asked for the second time. The wait staff were so aggressive clearing the dishes from the main meal it felt like the louder they were smacking dishes the better off they'd be. The room went from too hot to too cold. It was obvious the AC was not set / running correctly. My girlfriend had to remove & put back on her jacket repeatedly. The room was so loud, not enough sound deadening, that I must have repeated what I was saying to the person across my table at least 6 times through the dinner when they could not hear what I said even though my voice was plenty loud. Only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 star is because my girlfriend's scallops were pretty tasty and she shared a taste with me and also our waiter Scott did a pretty good job.

Yelp
Not all it was cracked up to be! We walked in no one greated us when we got in, not even a hello! It almost seemed like a family ran restaurant that had put in the time! We were a party of 6 and we were hungry, it was my sons birthday and this place was hyped to him, I like that it is family owned and that's why I was a little generous with the score!, the restaurant is on the small end but very loud definitely not the place you want to go if you want to romantic dinner! Bread came and it was not bad, I actually was OK.lets go around the horn, my oldest son ordered lasagna didn't seem impressed, his wife ordered spaghetti, stuffed eggplant didn't seem like much, she wasn't that happy, I ordered a bowl of pasta assuming it was freshly made that morning , no it had not been it was harder than al dente witch is something it should be for fresh, wife had the same and felt the same, my wife's Sicilian and I'm a city guy from the Bronx , my sister in law who ordered fettuccine Alfredo hit the Home run, by far the best pasta combination of creamy sauce, and pasta! If you're ordering pasta definitely pick this as one of your choices! My sister in law is a baker by trade, and she made and bought some dynamite pastries! And the waitress said that there would be a small little up charge that I totally agreed with 30 dollars up charge! Parking is really bad and it's going to run you 12 dollars, most high end locations charge an average of 8 bucks. Overall score 2.5 cause the margarita pizza I ordered as an appetizer was enjoyed by all!

Robert M.

Yelp
Last night my wife and I enjoyed an amazing first time experience at Panzanella restaurant. First, they offer an extensive and surprisingly reasonable wine list. I started with an order of carpaccio that was one of the best in LA. Our pastas were exquisitely prepared with light and flavorful sauces. However, the fine food was paired with at least equally superb service from our waiter, Paul. The restaurant exudes a delightful ambiance that feels like an all too brief visit to Italy. Bravo!
google avatar

Anthony T.

Yelp
Ok the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they have one men's room for a very large restaurant. Now on to the good part, ambience very nice. The pasta & sea bass delicious and the dessert was decadent! Service was great and our waitress Valeria 10 stars!

Yelp
Without question the best Italian food anywhere near the San Fernando valley. The lasagna is amazing, the pumpkin tortalini is out of this universe, the panzanella salad is a must, the pizza is exquisite. Overall this place is magical and I absolutely recommend going here asap

Ben V.

Yelp
Some of the worst food ive ever had in my life. The service was annoying and unprofessional and such a dead vibe. Save yourselves from the disappointment
google avatar

Fatima H.

Yelp
Food were pretty good portions and flavorful. It's a bit cramped so expect to just try talking over the people next to you. Staff would regularly walk over and refill water or pick up done plates, but it always took a while for our server to come or any food to come. Went with one other person and ordered a salad to share. It came out split already which we thought was great just for them to charge $3 without letting us know first.

Yelp
Very disappointing dining experience - The first thing we noticed was a huge discrepancy in the prices between the menu posted here (and on opentable) and the actual menu - which is substantially more expensive. For the actual menu, go to "website menu" in the Yelp listing - NOT "full menu" - or look at both and check out the difference! The service here was only so-so. No one talked to us about the specials - or offered to answer any questions. It was diner-style "Ready to order?" Our server was bit snooty and very transactional. Rushed, in fact. Just as an example - servers and bussers used the backs of our chairs as "handrails" as they moved through the dining room - so it was a bumpy ride for us! And that shows a real lack of awareness of and caring for the guests. Drinks hitting the table must have been a huge accomplishment, because there was no concern for who actually ordered which drink - not a deal breaker, but still.... Perhaps the staff are overworked, which might explain the lack of care for the guest? And the food was mediocre. Our party of four didn't have a single dish any of us would order again. So, it's not like we suffered meh service to have a wonderful meal. I understand they recently changed the parking situation to self-parking in a parking lot. There's a small sign, but every spot in the parking garage is marked "reserved" and there's no signage to indicate you're in the right place. Plus, there's a single land for both entrance and exit - coming right in off Ventura Boulevard, it didn't feel either safe or welcoming. They do have a lovely outdoor seating area. I LOVE giving great reviews, so it pains to me say that at these prices, with sub-par service and not-so-great food, I would not go back, nor would I recommend Panzanella.

Yelp
We have been going to Panzanella for years and it never disappoints. Our last visit was Christmas Eve and the Holiday ambiance was lovely, our server, Shannon, was amazing and our meal was beyond delicious. We started with a Panzanella salad and 4 cheese gnocchi for the table. Both are favorites of ours. I had the Bronzino and my husband and son had seafood pasta specials. Everything was amazing. We also had our son's college graduation party with a group of family and friends in a private room at Panzanella and everything was perfect

Yelp
Dine here three times so far, Raviolini fungi with fondue cheese sauce was very cheesy and full of flavor 10/10. Panna Cotta was spectacular, not too sweet, very creamy in texture, one of the best I have tried (and I've tried many). Cacio e pepe pasta was al dented, the right amount of Parmigiano cheese, not too subtle and not too strong, I'd give it 8/10 because I personally like it super cheesy. Calamari, was good, crispy on the outside but softer inner, it's not the crispness I've had (which is the way I like), but that's a style preference, slightly salted Paired with their own tomatoes sauce. You can find metered street parking or valet, didn't catch the valet price since we parked on the street.

Yelp
Great service their food is vey tasty, We got the food really fast and we enjoyed every bite. Their desserts are delicious. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
The tortellini di zucca was the best dish. My husband and I went years ago and the food is still just as delicious. Parking isn't amazing but it didn't deter from the food. Service was great. There was a big party in one of their rooms but they still had great service.

Yelp
The best food and the best service. Love this place. The food is authentic Italian, and the interior reminds me of New York. I love the menu choices as well.

Yelp
Giovanni was the worst hostess i've ever met!!! We waited 20 minutes for our reservation. I asked several times when we could be seated, they said 2 minutes. 10 minutes went by before he could bring us to our table. He then looks at me and says "by the way, it hasn't been 20 min since you got here". I've been here twice now and they haven't been able to seat us. This place sucks!!!!

Yelp
Went to dinner here on a Sunday evening with a group of 13 people- which can be difficult at the best time how're the experience was pretty terrific! We were fortunate to have the wine room so occasionally someone would come In yo grab a bottle for other patrons. Appetizers were delicious cheese pizza and a delightful bite of egg plant wrapped around goat cheese. The starter was a mushroom soup with bread and butter or a olive tapenade- it may have been my favorite course. The soup was to die for and the olive tapenade was just amazing. Main course I had the salmon, mashed potatoes and vegetables- as full as I was I cleared my plate - the salmon was tender and perfectly seasoned. Desert was a blackberry tart with gelato- the tart base was so moist and flavorful and the gelato was on point. Highly recommend finishing dinner with a cappuccino and biscotti!

Yelp
Average food, totally crap management. Spend your money elsewhere! The only reason this place is getting two stars is because the food is decent and the wait staff is friendly. That said, if you want a leisurely dinner, get ready for a s***t storm. The old man at the check-in station has likely lost his marbles because he literally came up to our table of 10 as we were paying and tried to kick us out for staying too long. Before booking we had an extensive conversation that we don't want to be rushed. He agreed. As we were paying our $700+ bill, he decided to have a confrontation in front of all the rest of the patrons. Take your money elsewhere, this place is totally not worth it!

Yelp
I've driven by Panzanella maybe a thousand times and never went because we try not to eat Italian food often because of the carbs. However we were invited to dinner there and OMG! We were completely blown away by how delicious the food was. The bread comes out warm and is absolutely delicious. Normally we send the bread basket away but it was to good to send away. We went around 6:30 and it was very busy, but service was on point even though it was hectic. As for ambiance it's a little dark and could use a facelift as it's an older restaurant. My only complaint was the noise, we could barely hear one another throughout the night, but it's ok we were busy eating, lol

Yelp
Have passed by here a million times and we decided to give it a try for a birthday dinner. Unfortunately this is one of those places that charges for bread 1.50 per person and it's lame. Just find a way to add a little here and there to the food and cover it that way. Next up they will start charging to fill my water glass. But on to the review... I had the usual Caesar salad and it was very good. Nice size portion too. And then for the first time both of us ordered the sale entree. Pasta with lobster and crab with a slightly spicy red sauce. It was delicious. Large chunks of lobster and it actually came with the shell so you could dig out what was left. Large portion and it arrived hot. The ambiance was very nice. They have a great outdoor area that is decorated like a little street in Italy. Charming and well done and next time that would be a nice option. Service was good. My water glass was never empty! Large menu so makes us want to try it again.

Yelp
Very convenient and accommodating for big parties and special events. They had a private room that features their wines that could fit up to 20 people. It was also nice and private. The food was very tasty, especially the pastas and the pizzas. We tried a variety of different dishes and divided everytning family style. The squid ink pasta was definitely a favorite. The service was also fantastic.

Yelp
We went for the first time tonight. The service was great. We shared a Caesar Salad & I ordered Cacio y Pepe for dinner. It was perfection. We also ordered Spinach Ravioli that was delicious. We will definitely be going back.‍

Yelp
This place never disappoints! Wonderfully attentive service, great and beautifully menu choices, lovely and accommodating kitchen staff. If I lived closer, I'd go there every week. Make a reservation and check it out. You'll be glad you did!

Yelp
PROS: The food was really, really good. The photos of the food on yelp don't do it justice. The support staff (busboy) was AMAZING. We ended up tipping the busboy more since he did everything for our table. CONS: The server was HORRIBLE. Didn't listen to anything, gave a clear "Ah Fuck!" when asked about what goes in a dish and a very audible "Sigh" when he is walking past tables because he was in the weeds. The hostess, who is most likely one of the owners, doesn't heed that a good husband waits for his wife before he is seated, instead of being yelled at in front of the other customers to follow her to a table. Short staff is NEVER an excuse for poor service. You've been in business how long? The Host and Wait staff is really my only ding on this place. I'd go back knowing that the pros certainly outweigh the cons since the cons are temporary.

Yelp
Extremely good Italian food that I would highly recommend everyone try. I've been here for lunch and dinner and they have a lot of options and everything is very fresh and light. Definitely will come here again

Yelp
We visit this restaurant most often and we never had bad food. The service, the food and people are one of a kind. Strongly recommend the place.

Yelp
I'm treating a 3 as good. I just need to go back to the restaurant and try other stuff. I had a martini, normal one, which was pretty good, pretty cold, which is one of my main criterion. Bartender was also super nice and attentive. I had the caesar salad, which was good enough. Homemade dressing, nice croutons, but hard to rate a restaurant on a caesar salad, but that's what I'm doing. I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
This restaurant has amazing reviews & although we have lived in the area for years we had never eaten here & decided to give it a try. I love the outdoor patio.....reminds me of eating in an alley of a restaurant in Italy & felt worlds removed from the hustle & bustle of Ventura Blvd. We had a reservation, sat down & waited 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were there. Finally the busboy brought us bread. Our waiter Shannon (at least that's what the receipt said) finally came over. We ordered a couple glasses of wine, and waters, felt he was a bit annoyed we only wanted tap water! He didn't even ask my son if he wanted anything to drink besides the water, and never did the entire meal! We ordered a Caesar Salad & Calamari Fritti to start. We said we were sharing the Caesar, which the kitchen split & the waiter charged us for. He also asked if we were OK with anchovies, to which we replied we wanted them on the side, little did we know he was charging us for them too! The calamari was really yummy. The sauce had a slight spice to it, they were lightly breaded & fried perfectly. Tender and not greasy & most importantly they were hot when they came out! For dinner, we ordered the Squid Ink Risotto, Gnocchi with 4 cheese sauce, and Lasagna. The squid ink risotto was absolutely terrific. It was hot, and flavorful (would be nice with more than just 1 leaf of basil as garnish). The Gnocchi was also flavorful & the sauce was decadent. The lasagna was meh.....the photos on Yelp of this dish looked amazing, but what came out from the kitchen was sauceless and dry with no cheese. My husband asked for more sauce, and received 2 ramekins of what looked like hamburger meat thrown into tomato sauce.....he then asked for just plain marinara sauce which was a little better. The flavor of the lasagna overall was just not good. Before we ordered, my husband asked whether he should order a pizza or lasagna & the waiter actually told us about a pizza he had a couple nights ago at Medici.....that was weird! Not sure if he was new or not, but he simply could not make a recommendation of anything! We will likely go back again, given two of the dishes were quite good, but will never order lasagna again, and we will hope we don't wind up with Shannon as our waiter!

Yelp
Got crammed into a dining room in the front of the restaurant. Very loud and everyone had to shout above each other. Way overpriced. Got a pizza and the crust tasted like a frozen cracker. Bread costs $1.50 per person dining?? When surveying our food, the feedback was that the steaks were subpar. The redeeming plates were the calamari and raviolis. I had reached out about reservations over a week ahead of time and it had taken them 4-5 days to get back to me. I spoke to someone about how I would be celebrating someone's birthday. When I got a confirmation of my reservation the day before, the host had said "and you're celebrating a birthday, right?" Clearly there was a note. No effort was made to give a birthday dessert menu or complimentary birthday anything. If they had known we were celebrating and don't offer any of those things, you'd think they'd warn me when we spoke. Disappointing.

Yelp
I was looking for a new place to go to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Since our party lives in different cities we opted for Panzanella because it was a short distance from all. Their menu offers a variety of options. For antipasti we had the clams and mussels in a delicious tomato broth, grilled octopus and calamari. All were very tasty and servings were enough to share with our party of five. Two in the party enjoyed the fresh fettuccine with shrimp. My bf ordered the short rib. I thoroughly enjoyed the ossobuco-extremely tender and tasty and was served with delicious saffron risotto. Additionally we ordered the lasagna--light layers of fresh made pasta with red sauce and béchamel with a hint of nutmeg. We topped it off with the yummy tiramisu. Im glad we found this gem and hope to return soon. Highly recommend.
