Panzone's Pizza & Pasta

This pizza was awful. Doughy, flavorless sauce, and the worst mozz they could find. This pizza was so floppy it's like it's soggy. The taste was like the awful school cafeteria pizza back in the day. There's no redeeming quality to it, and sad that it was recommended to us. Now I have to question those people's taste or wonder why they hate us enough that they said to go here for pizza. One comment from dinner tonight was "we shoulda got Dominos instead". Let that sink in and then find another spot.

We have had several days of eating out in LBI, and we have found our favorite place! The menu all looks good, we had a special Oricchiete, sausage and broccoli rabe dish, cioppino fra diavolo, Brussels sprouts, and coconut shrimp. Everything was excellent and the portions are generous! Honestly I don’t know why there wasn’t a line out the door, but don’t let that deter you from going! Super friendly staff as well!

It seems we may have missed the dinner rush because as we were leaving business was starting to pick up. We had an order of wings, Penne Vodka with Chicken, Chicken Parmigiana pasta, and a pizza. I wouldn't say it's the best pasta and pizza we have ever had but it was good and we definitely enjoyed it. Service was also good. Our server was attentive, friendly and quick. The Beach Haven location is centrally located so we were able to grab a bite quickly and continue with our day. I was a little surprised with the prices. All in all your looking at about $30 per plate. But the fact that the food was good made it more understandable.

Dear Panzone Family, I wanted to take the time to thank you for the exquisite food and professional service you provided for my daughter’s quinceañera at the Surf City Yatch Club. From the first phone call you were so positive, great to work with, creative, and 100% accommodating. Unfortunately, it was a last minute call because the catering place that we originally had been working with really surprised me with all of the unprofessional and poorly planned catering options. Even though I knew they were not so clear with many things from the beginning, such as: their menu and decor, to the hidden fees I thought, and I was hoping, they were going to get better before the event. They were highly recommended by my venue so without a thought we instantly went with them. I thought perhaps we were planning too early and they were going to speed up their game closer to the date, well I was wrong! The other catering place in Lacey had very little knowledge, which is more of the manager’s and owner’s fault, not making a contract was inept of them. Even though we tried their food a few months in advance, & my family and I ate at the restaurant, they were incapable of doing things right. Even the waitress knew more about my event than the actual manager. So here I am writing about Panzones restaurant & catering business and how they SAVED my daughter’s birthday party one week before the event. We are so happy and 100% satisfied. Not only my family, but my friends, were very pleased by THE FOOD! The professionalism of every single person in that restaurant is impressive! There is not a single thing that they left out, NO hidden fees. We absolutely loved the food. The Panzone’s restaurant helped us clean up after the party, and by the end everything was packed up, and we had leftovers for another week. We are so grateful that they were able to make my daughter‘s quinceañera a success. They have the best chicken fingers & fries, mac and cheese, the delicious chicken franchise, the vodka sauce and pasta, fresh Italian bread, the salads and more. We loved the ferris wheel and the candy, the carnival theme was perfect for August in LBI! All of the workers including the family made this special day even MORE SPECIAL for us! This is not only a catering place or restaurant in LBI , this is more than anything you can expect! We also visited the Beach Haven & Surf City location right away, both are also amazing. The pizza is fresh and delicious! I am very particular with my pizza! I lived in North Jersey for more than 20 years. THE FOOD IS DELIGHTFUL! Lobster roll is obscenely huge and filled with large chunks of lobster. Totally worth the price! I also ordered a meatball sub and that was great too. The pizzas seem a little on the high side of pricing, but I'm also kinda of spoiled by the local build your own personal pizza places. Regardless, the quality of the food is great and the server seated us quick and had our food very fast.

The Manhattan Clam chowder was very good. The pizza was OK. We ordered a plain pie. The crust was on the chewy side, but we prefer crunchy. The sauce was good, but there was not much cheese.

I’ve been here several times before and loved it. The Pizza is fantastic. Had the arugula salad and a steak sandwich. Highly recommend eating here. The servers are really nice. Celeste was our last server and she was so nice to us. Every time I go to Long Beach I always try to eat here.

Ordered pizza and salad for a group of 120 for delivery. Communication was great, delivery was on time and pizza was excellent! The salad was above and beyond what you would expect and the dressings were great as well. Thank you and we will be back next year!

amazing time here at panzones. i am gluten and dairy free and our waitress amy made sure that none of my food was contaminated. she was so kind and understanding. i will definitely be coming back since i finally found gluten and dairy food accommodations for me.

We were so thoroughly disappointed by our visit to Panzones this year. My husband has been eating here for 40 years and a dinner at Panzones is part of every annual visit to LBI. This year may be our last year. We realize prices have gone up everywhere but the rate of increase at Panzones since last years is out of control. $19 for a personal pizza that was so small it amounted to two regular slices of pizza - I ordered the mikes hot honey pizza and somehow they forgot the hot honey. There was so little cheese on the pizza it was basically just bread with pepperoni. Salads started at $24 that was often without any protein. Penne alla vodka was $30. This isn't some fancy 5 start restaurant it's a pizzeria. Though you wouldn't know it was a pizzeria given they fail to mention you can order a traditional pizza on their menu. I remember when there was always a wait to eat in here now we just walked in and the place was empty. The cost of eating at what is now sub-par restaurant will continue to drive customer's away.

Been here a couple of times recently and something curious is going on. Both times we dined in the restaurant. The dine in menu does not list a traditional, straight up pizza. It only lists "signature pizza" and a (not so) large is $35! You can order a regular pizza but we had to ask. Interesting. And what I really didn't like is that the large traditional pie cost more because we were dining in. $28 to eat it there; $22 had I ordered it to go. Huh. Can't say I've ever seen that before. Pizza was not for me. Very doughy; no crisp at all; little taste. Mussels and meatballs apps were good. Atmosphere was a tad bit nicer than your standard pizzeria. Service on both occasions was good - youthful, friendly and efficient.

The only place to get pizza from in the summer. Get their plain pizza or a chicken caprese sandwich. Enjoy!

Nothing to say here, place has been around a long time and they have a captive audience so quality is not the focus it seems. Pizza was dripping oil reminiscent of the Exxon Valdez. They are quick to make their pie for pick-up because the pies are made and heated. If not for the pepperoni, the pizza lacked any flavor and was on par with store bought frozen pizza. If you need to fill your belly and are desperate because of the munchies maybe after a drinking binge this place is for you. Crust was nothing special so have to give them a 1. Post follow-up: Owner contacted me to make things right but I'm from out of state so considering responsiveness and concern I upped the rating as I remember this pizza as being better quality.

If I could a zero this pizza,, I would I wasted $100 basically take $100 bill and put it on fire or throw it in the trash. That is what I did by ordering this pizza. Barely any cheese and crust bubbles. What the hell is this ? Horrible. Don't order save yourself

$32 dollars for a pizza, really ??? And no wine by the glass, only $25+ bottles and no beer. Will not be going back.

We ordered takeout as a family, ordered 1 sicilian, 1 regular pizza, and an order of wings. None of these items were good, but fortunately, one was edible in the sicilian. I wouldn't recommend if you like pizza with sauce, cheese, or toppings.

Overpriced for what it was. I think places that have to be BYOB try to make it up on the food. I ordered the Vodka Chicken Parm last night and on the menu it was 32, which is high in general but i figured, whatever, vacation place pricing. The chicken was ok, it was more like a Perdue chicken patty, not really a chicken cutlet. Upon looking at the bill after we left, we were charged 37 dollars because i asked for some vegetables instead of pasta. Service was good, i just felt like it was a lot for what it was.

What a nice place to eat in or take out. We wanted "take out" and Panzone's delivered a great meal with a smile, in a shopping bag with handles and plates and napkins all for $90: 1/ delicious pepperoni Stromboli 2/ a cheesy toasted meatball parm wedge 3/ an Italian chicken sandwich with broccoli rabe 4/ a big box of hot crispy French Fries 5/ Chicken Francese with pasta enough for two people. Three pieces of perfectly breaded lemon buttery boneless chicken 6/ complimentary bread I would suggest heating your order on a baking sheet at home for 5 minutes to get that crispy feel back in the food. Will repeat.

Empty restaurant Saturday afternoon in August. Perhaps everyone was still on the beach. Very cute inside. Ordered one chicken parm and one chicken vodka parm. Both came out with cold pasta. Not even warm. It was promptly addressed by the nice waitress. We had to ask for bread. It was not very good. For the dinners I ordered the vodka parm and it was very very creamy. The sauce kind of had an off taste. Perhaps too much basil. The actual chicken cutlets were very nicely crisp and moist. I tried the red sauce and was not a fan of that either. Each dish was $30 and there wasn't a ton of pasta but both dishes were served with 2 medium size cutlets that were tasty. Overall not impressed and will not rush back. Waitress was a gem but I cannot remember her name.

Amazing amazing AMAZING ! Last year came here for the 1st time with family. Once again on point and Catherine our server was excellent and knew when to bring dishes and move things out of the way. Thank you! We need a Panzones in MD!

The food was just not good. The calamari was chewy and gross. The chicken was thick and chewy and had a gross texture and the franchise sauce was bland with no flavor. The vodka sauce was bland and just did not taste good. On top of that it was soooo expensive . For fried calamari , Cesar salad, two chicken franchises meals and 3 penne with vodka meals it was $245! On a good note the server was nice.

Just finished the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls, and they were amazingly delicious! Panzone's never fails to deliver great food!! We love the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza, we also tried the funnel cake fries dipped in nutella... never had anything like that for dessert. They were a delicious treat!! Thanks, Panzone's!!

This place was amazing, this is the first time in a while that i gave my compliments to the chef. A unique arrangement of flavor with incredible materials such as perfectly made mozzarella sticks and the best pasta i've had in a long long time. In conclusion this place has great mood great waiters and most of all great food and thats why Panzone's Pizza & pasta definitely deserves 5 stars.

Visited here for the first time in LBI, been down here 12 years and never tried this place. Location is off main drag in Beach Haven near Bay Village and it is quite a large place. Looked like it was pretty busy and looked like the locals liked it. There is take out and pizza, pasta and all sorts of specialties. The service here is friendly and fast and the dining area is plenty large. We ordered some pizza and chicken parm and also pasta and it was delicious. Sangria was tasty as well and they have a nice wine selection and also some beers. Prices are just right and what you would expect. We will definitely come back!

Wrapping up an afternoon of brewery hopping, my bro and I decided to get something to eat and, while in the area, we decided to stop at Panzone's Pizza & Pasta. There is no indoor dining here only take-out and outdoor, and we choose the latter. The food was very good, not excellent. I enjoyed the chicken parm sandwich while my bro reluctantly enjoyed his wrap. At this point we had nothing more to drink. 3.5 stars.

Consistently excellent service and delicious food! We love the Spicy Hawaiian BBQ Pizza and we were so excited when Panzone's made it for us even though the pie was removed from the summer 2023 menu. The Penne Vodka is also delicious.

My family has been going to Panzone's BH for 20 years and we still love it. The pizza and pasta are very good and the servers are super friendly. It's a great place to bring the little ones, friends, and others. This week we got mussels marinara and Country style pizza. Chef's kiss. Part of the place was reserved for a private party, but our server - Kaya, did a great job.

Totally enjoyed their food at the SCYC Burgee last night! Their food was absolutely amazing! I had what I think they called the SCYC Special Chicken Sandwich...lightly breaded succulent Chicken Breast, Provolone Cheese, the best ever Long Hots & more. I hope they have this on their regular menu! My husband had the best ever Meatball Sandwich! Panzone's is definitely a place not to miss in our local Surf City & also Beach Haven locations

Unfortunately, my first and only experience was just awful. Our hosts put in a large order that included pizza, pasta, chicken Parmesan, peppers and sausage, risotto with blackened mahi-mahi--and more. My review is only on the items I had: the risotto with blacked mahi-mahi and the sausage and peppers. The fish was the driest piece of fish I've ever had. It was overly seasoned and tough. The risotto couldn't save it. The sausage and peppers were so salty, I couldn't have more than one bite. What a shame.

Stopped in to Panzones for a quick bite on the way home from LBI. We ordered sandwiches at the outdoor counter from one of their friendly staff. We waited a reasonable amount of time and took the sandwiches to an outdoor table on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. It was just "OK." I would give their pizza a shot next time. I hear it's pretty good.

This Panzone's is located very close to the amusement park and shops. Our server was awesome - very helpful and friendly. My husband and I shared the red wine sangria to start. It was decent. We also shared the barrata, which was very good. I had the turkey avocado blt. Overall the service and location are great, but good and drinks very average.

They described this as pizza but I'm not so sure. The best I can say is they were open in late September.

Excellent pizza! We have been eating here for the last 30 years. We love all there food. Every time time we're in LBI we stop for a slice. Today I decided to have A salad and it's delicious. Sadly they close this location for the season but you can still go to the store in ship bottom.

Just a boring meal, the buffalo calamari was more of a buffalo calamari salad there was so much greens in it. The muscles marinara was good, I ordered the shrimp and scallops, wow, sad. As soon as I seen it I was like why am I here. The scallops and shrimp were from frozen, both has no sear on it, and the shrimp has a slime on it? The shrimp looked like E.T laying on the bathroom floor dying. I ate it because I'm an animal, and smothered it in cheese red pepper and salt, and I never add salt to food. Only thing good was my kids personal pie, muscles, and the waiter was cool.

The six of us decided to go out for pizza, so we looked at reviews of pizza places on the island. Our first choice was Bay Village but they had no table service and we didn't want to wait in the long line to order so we went with the second highest Yelp rated which was Panzones. We were greeted by friendly staff and were seated. Service was fine and fast. We ordered Bavarian pretzels for appetizer. A portion of 6 pretzels and some cheese sauce came out and was very good. The menu said a small 12" pizza was $27 (a little crazy to me but the waiter confirmed this) and a large was only a dollar more at $28 so we ordered 3 large pizzas. One plain, one half plain, half chicken and the last was half black olives and half margherita. Pizza came out in a timely manner, it did look very good, but looks can be deceiving. The large size was definitely smaller than your normal Jersey pizza shops. No need to fold slices here. The crust was soft and not crispy at all. The sauce tasted like dominoes and the soft, puffy, undercooked crust also reminded me a lot of dominoes pizza which I am not a fan. The kids didn't seem to mind it, said it was ok. I was extremely disappointed and only ate one slice even though I was hungry. I can honestly say being raised on good jersey pizza, this is one of the worse pizzas I've had in a long time. I literally would have rather had a digiorno (yeah, I went there) What added to my already ruined dinner, was knowing the bill was on its way after we finished. Yep, $95 for 3 pizzas and 6 drinks !! (4 of them waters) not including tip. Yes this was very much over a $100 pizza dinner. Understand, if this was an excellent pizza or even a really good pizza, I wouldn't have care about the price at all. Just sucks to pay so much for such flavorless pizza.

Best pizza in the world? No. Best pizza on the island? Yes We've had some pretty bad pizza on this island, but Pantone's always makes a good pie. Pricey, but nothing is cheap on LBI and it's worth it over the competition. We use the Beach Haven location.

The food is horribly overpriced..we git a simple pasta with broccoli and grilled chicken , which was not very big and cost $32.00...the chicken was in huge chucks and was not cooked inside and was pink....the mussels were very fishy smelling ...disgusting....pick another place ...don't waste your money here

This is my favorite pizza in the world and the only place I will actually eat the crust. I've been coming here every summer since I've was an infant and I literally think about their pizza all year long. I tried the spicy Hawaiian pizza and it was a GAME CHANGER, an absolutely incredible take on a classic.

Unfortunately we ordered pizza on Thursday 5/12/22 at their Beach Haven location. We always loved their pizza but the pizza was very thin, dry, very little sauce and and the mozzarella was scarce. The pie was half veggie and half regular. The veggies were also spread very thin. There was no taste either. So disappointing. We were charged $25. Panzones was always are favorite and now we wont be back.

Panzone's was amazing for both take out and dine in! The Panzoni was delicious and stayed hot! My favorite pizza on LBI!

An Anniversary Pie is $27. That is a pizza with no meat on it. Price gouging to say the least. Pandemic, war in Ukraine, inflation... there is no excuse that justifies two pizzas with garlic, olive oil, and ricotta cheese for well over $50 bucks...

Took 1 hour and 45 min to get the pizza despite them promising 45min. Okay pizza just be prepared to wait a looong time

love this place. stopped in for one slice one day when I was starving been going back ever since. super friendly staff. pizza is not greasy. consistently great food. Outside dining so bring the puppy.

Pizza is good but not for the prices that they charge. Ordered 3 pies and we paid over $90 including the $9 online "convenience" fee (we tried to call the order in and were told to place the order online. There is also a $10 delivery fee?!?! Lastly, The pizza sizes we ordered were a Large but the sizes are more like Medium. I think we will do a Hard Pass next time and look for a place that isn't trying to bamboozle you with obscene fees. I am also sympathetic to how the pandemic was/is trying businesses but these fees are unacceptable and the food prices are not in line with other locations. Not a good look to pull in the vacationing crowd. This place came highly recommended but it definitely did not live up to the hype. Oh well, on to the next place.

They deserve more than 3 stars...food is done right and the service is friendly. LBI is very lucky to have them.

Advertised Fresh ingredients. Tonights pizza clearly covered in canned mushrooms... Fresh 'shrooms - not that hard ...

A worthy place for takeout pizza. We only did the takeout (a large Country Style with perfectly crisped pepperoni) and I have to admit, we rarely do takeout as we have an oven in our backyard, but this was a nice relaxing change to our normal routine. We ordered from the beach during the post lifeguard cocktail hour, the pizza was ready when they told us it would be, the box was solid, and we were able to enjoy it back at the beach while the sun set. A wonderful evening, highly recommended. The location in Beach Haven was packed on a Monday night in August, so parking was a challenge, next time we will bring a runner so the driver can stay with the car.

Have been coming to Panzones for years and love it more and more every time. Kristen is such an absolute delight! We love everyone here and can't wait to come back again

We had a Sicilian deep dish pizza and a cranberry & walnut salad. The pizza was below our expectations. I spoke with the Manager (Todd) and he apologized and handled our complaint very professionally. We've been coming to LBI for 30-years and always try to visit Panzone's. During the Covid-19 crisis, restaurants and employees are doing their very best. The way that Todd took care of us will ensure that we keep coming back.

While vacationing here we went here for lunch. I was craving Cheese Raviolis. But our server (Thin Blonde..who had a puss on her face the entire time) told me they do not have Raviolis. I asked if they had Lasagna. They said we do not have lasagna. YET THIS IS AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT?? I will say most of other servers that I saw seemed to be happy to be working there. Ours didn't seem to care. So I ordered Eggplant Rollentini, my son Mozzarella sticks, and my boyfriend ordered a Meatball hero. Food was not that good. The eggplant was thin. Barely any ricotta. Mostly melted mozzarella cheese in top. Was so small. I was starving when we left. Mozzarella sticks looked like they were straight out of the freezer. Meatball was good but barely any sauce. Our bill came and was $52.00!! We ordered one drink! You couldn't pay me to come back!

A staple on the island, you can never go wrong with panzones. Open longer than most spots especially off peak season, panzones is a hit all the time. Penne vodka, pizza, salads, sandwiches, you name it. Don't miss out!

Prices are way too high on everything- portion sizes are average and a large pizza is more like a medium (cost $28 for just a plain pie). I know the response is gonna be - prices have skyrocketed - which may be true (although not entirely) but is now unaffordable for your average customer. Won't be going back anytime soon, honestly if ever again. Worth spending time comparing prices to similar restaurants with better value.

Just ok. Good place for young children but the food is mediocre. Recommend to not order wings.

Awful stuff that they call pizza. I don't know how anyone could consider the pizza here real. The crust is puffy, bland, dense white bread like. It's truly awful. The pizza was all bread. Skip this place. I will never go here again.

Panzone's has been my family's favorite pizza and Italian spot for years. We dined in almost every night for dinner pretty much evey night of our vacation (pre-COVID) and take out from regularly now. The staff is very friendly and good at their jobs. The food is delicious and consistently good. The chicken parm dinner or sandwich are both so good! My kids love the pizza. The cheese fries are also an awesome treat.

Went to Panzones in Beach Haven with a large group, about 17 people. Apps: we had a few platters of the cold antipasto, focaccia bread and cheese curds. The fried cheese curds were amazing and our entire table couldn't stop picking on them. Dipping them in a side of marinara sauce, they were delicious. All the apps were perfect. For dinner, I had the chicken francese and my wife had the linguine with clam sauce. By the looks of our plates, our entrees were perfect. My chicken was tender and the batter had the perfect amount of lemon flavor. The batter was lightly fried and golden brown. My wife's entree had plenty of clams and just the right amount of garlic. Our food was served hot and timely. By the looks of everyone's plates at the end of night, all the meals were delicious and everyone enjoyed their dinner. The staff was very accommodating and couldn't do enough to make sure our big group had everything we needed. Panzones is more than just pizza, it's an LBI staple of delicious food. It's worth the trip from any part of the island; from Barnegat Light to Holgate.
