Papa C Pies Bakery

I ordered several platters of the mini pies with a variety of fruit fillings for my baby shower a few weekends ago and they did not disappoint!! They were so tasty (especially when served with ice cream) and looked adorable when displayed too. I loved having the option for the minis so my guests and I could easily try ALL the flavors! I would definitely order from Papa C Pies again.

I started buying pies from Papa C Pies back in 2017 when I would visit family local to the area. When I got engaged to my now husband, I immediately knew we'd be hiring Chad to make our wedding pies. They are the BEST! Chad knows me by name when I walk into the store, and I live out of state for heavens sake. It just feels like you're going in to see family when you open the door to the store. Chad helped me feel calm in the middle of planning, which was intense considering it was in the middle of COVID, and he made sure to follow up with me several times before our wedding day. We purchased a variety of pies for our wedding so that everyone could find something they'd like. Boy did they not disappoint. Everyone commented on how delicious the pie was. In fact, my uncle hoarded one of the extras for himself. I love that Chad also sends you an anniversary pie. We really look forward to eating that in October! Chad's become a friend through our years of knowing one another, and I will support his business over and over again. We love Papa C Pies!

We shipped a Chess Pie and a Derby Pie to our Thanksgiving celebration in Wilmington NC and everyone raved about them! The family matriarch was recalling that this is the classic she remembers as a child. Thank you for not only making great memories, but helping us recall them, too! Everything arrived with perfect timing.

The mini slice dessert bar was great. Packaged very nicely and gave options to try a mini slice of several different pies! I will definitely be ordering this again! **picture shows after most of the apple slices had been consumed! When purchased it was a full tray

Picked up an apple, pumpkin and two quiches for thanksgiving. We enjoyed quiche and pumpkin. The apple crust very good. Filing a little under cooked and too much liquid. Owner was nice enough to give us a coupon for another time. We will try again when not a busy holiday weekend

A bit disappointed because I feel like they could make a KILLER chicken pot pie if they just stuck to the basics. But what I got was made with what seemed like mashed potatoes?! This is not chicken pot pie lol. Probably would've reviewed higher if it had at least mentioned the potatoes in the description, or even better I would've ordered something else! Like I said, the flavor potential was there but the texture was pretty off putting

I ordered ahead a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. It was overcooked (had thick cracks across) and honestly tasted just like Libby's canned pumpkin pie. How do we know? Someone didn't read the group text and brought a pie they made with Libby's so we tried them side by side. Identical. I don't mind Libby's, but I do care that I paid almost $30 for a pie that tasted like one I could make at home for $8. Disappointed because we heard so many good things about this bakery and we were excited to try it, we drove 30 minutes to Franklin for it. Maybe other flavors are their strong suit. Had a craving for pie, papa C's came up on Google . They did NOT disappoint! The nicest guys! Explained everything to us, very kind, and the pie was delicious! 6 inch was perfect for the hubby and me. We got the multi-berry. DELICIOUS! We will definitely go back.

So sad they closed! Great pies and sweet rolls Hopefully they will find a new home one day!

Papa C pies sits off of Seaboard, near the Costco. If you're in Costco and see one of those giant apple pies for $5 and wonder if the trip across the street is with it for the difference in price, the answer is yes. The staff was friendly and informative. I tried the small apple pie, and bought some peanut brittle as a bonus. They have a variety of pies, including savory pies, and I recommend going sooner in the day than later if you want a selection. The pie was delicious. It has just the right amount of apples, and the spice level was present on the pallet, not overpowering. The crust was flaky and tender, and it stayed together throughout the slice. Papa C's pies are not cheap. When you see what you get for the price and consider going back across the street for a 10 pound apple pie for $1, don't. You're already there. Get the pie. Go for quality not quantity in this one. Do the Costco quantity for Tide and toothpaste...and rotisserie chicken. As for the peanut brittle, I was not a fan. It tasted over cooked. Perhaps it was the "kettle cooked" method, but for me (a peanut brittle connoisseur), I liked neither the texture nor the taste. I'll stick with Brittle Brothers, thank you.

Best Pies in Franklin, Cool Springs, and Nashville by far! I have been coming here for years and the experience has been always a 5 star! You can tell they use the best ingredients and bake with love! They are always friendly and serve with a smile! What is great is that they offer a 6 inch pie and a 9 inch pie! This last time I picked up several 6 inch pies and cut them in four slices per pie. And our guests got to enjoy several. Bottom Line, this place is amazing! Enjoy!

Edit as of Oct 3: Chad Collier, the owner of Papa C's reached out today about the issue with the cobbler order below. He was very gracious and resolved the problem quickly. He also informed me that he was working to train employees on how to handle future issues such as this one in an helpful manner. All that to say, I will give Papa C's another chance and I'm encouraged by the responsiveness of the ownership. Oct 1: Our plans unavoidably changed and I needed to cancel my order. I called the day before pickup and asked for help dealing with it from customer service. I was told that they had already made the product, and it could not be resold even though it was frozen. Hmmm... basically SOL. I'd not recommend even if it were just from the manager's unhelpful response.

OMG - already thought the apple was the best - just ate one of their Key Lime pies. Make A B line for papa c's That was the best and I've eaten them all over the country - and no I don't mean while I was on a plane. Just realized I never commented on their Shepherds Pie or Chicken Pot Pie. Or Berry Cobbler. I will just say there are lots of great reasons to be a customer there. All have been excellent.

We frequently toss about the term "hidden gem" when describing an eatery that's off the radar, even if it really isn't all that hidden. But the phrase quite literally applies to Papa C's in a nondescript Cool Springs strip mall, tucked around the corner out of view on top of that! Thankfully, we Yelpers sniff out these spots and let the general public know. This bakery is a local business you just want to cheer for, with an ample selection of tasty baked goods tempting you inside glass cases. They have a drive-through lane as well! The pies are available in full sizes, medium sizes, and a tiny individual serving. The lemon icebox pies are very good, but I think the key lime steals the show! It truly captures the essence of citrus, creamy but thick, with a crumbly graham cracker crust in an experience reminiscent of Key West. It also tastes perfect when refrigerated. I'm a huge fan of pecan pie, and while Papa C's version is immensely flavorful, I'm not fond of the runny texture. The cinnamon rolls are a bit dry for my preference, but they're enormous and I could eat a quart of that icing! If I've reserved 5 stars for my favorite bakeries in New York and Paris, Papa C Pies wouldn't quite rank at that level. But they sure are amazing! I'm giving it a solid 4, especially for that spectacular key lime pie!

Family tried three different pies and unfortunately the crust mostly ruined any goodness the pies had. Too thick, too hard, too much. Pie crust should be soft and flakey and add to the flavors being presented in the pie, not overwhelmingly blah.

Fabulous. The pumpkin pie was so light & creamy. Wonderful! Can't wait to try the pecan. Yummy yum yum.

Papa C Pies Bakery is the only bakery in town with a drive thru. They offer fresh baked pie that are made with quality fresh ingredients. They have five savory pies available to take home and bake and a variation of ten already baked sweet pies in store at all times. You can also order any pie or cobbler by 2 pm daily and have it completed by the end of the day. I stopped by hoping to purchase a fruit pie but unfortunately they were sold out. I made plans to return later in the day and purchased a mini pecan pie before I left. The crust in both pies was flaky and had a buttery taste. The filling was perfect...not too sweet. I liked both pies equally and will return when I return to the area.

Papa C Pies to the rescue again! I had a friend feeling low and I wanted something to make your smile and she could enjoy. I shipped 2 pies to her which arrived on the date I selected. My friend sent a picture and she received exactly what I ordered and both pies arrived looking perfect too. The pies cheered her up and she said they are absolutely delicious! Thank you Papa C Pies!!

The pumpkin pie is really good. It is creamy and has great flavor. The apple pie was dry and the primary flavor was cinnamon. It didn't pop with apple flavor. The bacon / spinach quiche was OK. We did not fully heat it based on the recommended directions. Even with less heating the crust tended to burn. The flavor was good but a little dry. Overall we were disappointed with most of the products we purchased. But to end on a happy note, if you are looking for a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving I do recommend theirs.

While visiting Costco I saw a bakery sign (think donuts, of course) so stopped in to check Papa C's out. A bit disappointed that there were no donuts, but thrilled that we found this great place for pies! While visiting, they let us sample their chocolate pie and it was amazing! Very rich with a fantastic crust! Of course, we proceeded to buy both a chocolate and pecan pie! When in Cool Springs stop by and let them know that Lonny with Donut Explorers sent you!

I wish I could give Papa C's and Leslie, more than 5 stars.. The pies are well, Amazing!! Addictive.. Yummy. Full of flavor.. I already had 2 and had to go back for more, as well as plans to have some shipped to my home out of state. Leslie was super friendly, and helpful, even suggesting a good local business for lunch.. Can't wait to dig into some more of their pies..

Best pies you can buy in the Nashville area! The crusts are as amazing as the fillings!

Good pies but don't believe the pick up time online. They are usually at least an hour off.

I am revising my review. We ordered an 11 inch apple for thanksgiving. The crust was fine but fillings were not cooked and watery. The pumpkin and quiches were good. The owner gave us a coupon for a free pie. Perhaps we will try again not on a holiday. They were very busy.

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! Best pies ever - and I'm not joking! We mosied over to this amazing pie shop a couple of days ago and walked out blessed in more ways than one. Opting for a key lime pie and peanut butter pies was definitely the right choices. The key lime pie had bits and pieces of fesh lime zest standing out loud and proud and adding to the intensely delicious tartness and sweetness of this pie. My sons who opted for peanut butter pies were equally impressed with the peanut butter cup pieces topping the edges of this beauty. They couldn't get enough. Come on with it! And to top it all, our precious lady at the counter was patient and kind and well.....just made my day! Definitely will be going back - yes for more sweet pies, but also because now I want to try their savory pie offerings too!!! Thank you Papa C Pies!!!

So thankful for your great tasting and quality pies!! Just ordered a blueberry my husbands favorite and he's hard to please. He said best blueberry I've ever had!!! I ordered the strawberry rhubarb for myself and grand kids. I'm so in love with it!! The crust is my grand sons favorite he ate 2 pieces!!! He's only 6 years old. He had shake shack before that and still cleaned his plate with your pie!! So thankful we found y'all!! We'll be back for sure!!

Pies are delicious. The guy who I'm assuming owns it. Is so nice. Anytime we are around we grab a pie! Haven't been anything but pleased!

As close to perfect as it gets. Papa C's pies are amazing. Quality ingredients, fair prices, friendly staff and amazing tastes. The apple pie and chocolate pie are as addictive as I'd imagine crack to be. These are large, made-from-scratch masterpieces. Wow!

we got multiple pies and they are all great since they all have sugar and carbs. the pecan pie had a hint of lemon in the crust. super faint hint the chicken pot pie had a ton of veggies and crust def had an herbal flavor. tbh i like KFC's better bc that crust is flaky bigger veggies, more robust flavor chocolate pie was great. can't recall if that crust had that faint hint of lemon or not. pumpkin was great too

We stopped in Papa C's on a whim when my husband decided he wanted to bring a pie to our son's house. Everyone was extremely friendly. We finally decided on two small pies (apple & mixed berry). The pies were delicious!! We even got a sampling of the chess pie, which was also delicious. I think this may become a regular stop when we are going to Nashville. If you haven't tried their pie, just do it! You will not regret it.

The key lime pie was delicious but the apple pie was the BEST apple pie I've ever eaten! Highly recommend both!

Pies so good, they had to make mine fresh cause they were out (of the ones without pecans)! The moment you step into the store the amazing sweet smell just hits you. This new(ish) pie shop is one of those hidden places you don't know till you know. Freshly made with love. Definitely a place you need to try. If you have a party or need a pick me up this is definitely the place. Prices are good and they make a variety of flavors and sizes. Check this place out, I promise you won't regret it!

Love the guys that run this place. All the pies are wonderful. But my favorite is the ghirardelli fudge pie. Hard to beat. Their cinnamon rolls are also amazing. Be sure to either order them ahead of time or call. They seem to be a popular item that is not made everyday.

Absolutely love their pies! You can't go wrong with any of their offerings. Their chess pie is one of the best I've had. The filling is so smooth and tasty not to mention the crust is delicious which is a rarity! The steeplechase pie is delicious too!

Going in as my last review for 2018. I have to say that what a great way to end the year and start a new one: with Papa C Pies. I called ahead to see if they were open today (New Year's Eve) and they said they would be open until 3pm and told me to come on down to get some pies. So, I did just that! Scooted down before we left Nashville and so glad that we did! Customer service was excellent and they had a bit of seating inside, if you want to enjoy your pie I there. They had some small pies (under $9), so I chose the Ghiradelli Chocolate and the Apple (fresh out of the oven) pies. I could not wait to dig into these. The fams and I waited before the New Year's countdown to eat some. They were INCREDIBLE! I loved the flakyness of the crusts and the apple had a sugar topping and the chocolate just melted in my mouth like chocolate should! I am bummed that I waited til the end of my trip to come here. When in Nashville, do yourself a favor and grab some pies here! Totally worth every penny!! It's probably some of the best pie have had. Yummmm!!

Just purchased four pies for an office celebration. Stellar reviews....and this is a tough crowd. Peach, lemon, apple and ghoradelli chocolate yummmm. So fresh. And that crust. Fantastic.

Excellent pies, excellent service. Great owners who make you feel right at home. Generous and friendly. And, oh, did I mention the pies?

I cannot say anything bad about them. I have even mailed pies out of state and my family begs for more.

These guys are amazing! I needed a special request pie for the next day. I messaged Papa C Pies that night, and even though it wasn't on the menu, they replied and told me they would try to make the peanut better chess pie I wanted. When I picked the pie up the next afternoon the staff were friendly and helpful. They even gave me a sample to taste to be sure the pie was what I wanted. They far exceeded my expectations! The pie was rich and peanut buttery with a perfect crust. If you want the kind of service you can't seem to find anywhere these days and a pie that tastes like a sweet southern granny made it, this is the place to go.

I will first start off by saying that I always like to judge a place on how much you can taste the love they put into their food. And this place was quintessentially the meaning of that. When you walk into the place you see papa behind the counter making homemade pies from grandma's recipe. I read the pamphlet that I got at the counter and it told a story about their grandma making pies and not knowing the exact recipe because she can feel when is just right! That same kind of technique was passed down to the family! We got the chocolate pie and it was the most delicious chocolate pie I've ever had!! The staff was very warm and friendly and you can sense that this is a family tradition passed on with love to their customers! Maybe my favorite place of all my yelp reviews!

Absolutely incredible!!! The hospitality is over the roof! They literally made us feel like we were over at their house for a visit. There was 5 of us & they brought out extra seating, gave us complimentary ice cream & water! They pies are from God's hands directly delivered to Earth via Papa C. Never had a better pie! Thank you Jesus for gracing us with these heavenly pies & angelic people!

Amazing people, AMAZING PIES!!!! They are the nicest people and the pies were out of this world. The whole experience was so sweet i can't tell if it's the people or pies that would give me diabetes.

All my boyfriend asked for was a rhubarb pie for his 26th birthday. I think I called every bakery in Nashville. See, rhubarb isn't in season, and no one would work with me. Then I came across Papa C Pies online. Chadwick agreed to make it happen. On my boyfriends actual birthday, Murphy's Law took over - everything from an interstate shut down to a power outage. Chadwick worked tirelessly and personally drove my boyfriend's birthday pie to our house then presented it to him with hand-cut happy birthday stencils. The pie was absolutely delicious, and the customer service cannot be outdone. I will most definitely order from Papa C Pies again, and I recommend Papa C Pies to everyone who enjoys a sweet treat.

Pies were okay but not especially tasty. We tried coconut cream, key lime and pumpkin. Pumpkin was the best.

Went on the advice of a neighbor for a birthday pie for my wife. So glad I did. They are super nice and helpful. The pie was delicious and for once I went early so I got to order what we wanted. We did berries and loved it. We sampled the chocolate and key lime, both awesome. Great place and great people, too!

Friendly the place smelled heavenly (apple pies in the oven). The Chess pie was scrumptious and the crust...the crust was unbelievable. Even here, in the South, land of baking and delicious food - this pie crust... don't even like pie crust. I will say is that I unapologetically had pie for breakfast and I'll do it again. GO GET A PIE (or three).

We bought our first pies from Papa Cs last year at thanksgiving. They were huge hits with the family without all the effort. This year planning for thanksgiving, my family demanded Papa C pies again, including family who live in New York City. With the various sizes, I ordered 5 pies today so everyone can get the desert of their choice. You can't beat the customer service. Everytime we go in, we are made to feel welcomed. You have to try Papa C's pies!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! I was scrambling trying to find somewhere that could make a coconut cream pie or key lime pie without a whipped topping for a friend on Hospice and only eating limited things at this time. I called when they opened this morning and they said they would have a fresh one made in a hour! I couldn't believe it. Great service and very nice people! Definitely will be back!

I decided this year I didn't want to spend all of my time in the kitchen baking, so I ordered pies from Papa C Pies. What a huge disappointment. The pies were barely average and not a hit with my family. For the price I thought they would be great! But they weren't. They sat on the counter and were barely picked at. I should've just taken the time to bake them myself. That was a costly, disappointing mistake.

Oh my! The chocolate pie is to die for, the apple pie makes you want to slap your momma, the steeplechase derby pie is delish, and the chess is incredible. The savories are equally worth it. Get yourself a pie, and thank me later.

Visited recently and very friendly service and we were able to test taste the chocolate pie which was very good and bought the small version of blueberry and chess . The chess was my favorite . Prices would keep me from visiting very often but I would definitely recommend !!
