"Papa Duke’s is a casual Wilton Manors sandwich shop that makes its bread in house, along with an array of other baked goods, like muffins and donuts. They have a small menu of specialty sandwiches—most of which are pretty bland. But if you’re into cold cut sandwiches, definitely get the italian—it’s one of the better Italian subs in the area and includes pepperoni, capicola, salami, ham, and provolone. And if you’re from Connecticut, you’ll be happy to find your beloved super crunchy Deep River potato chips here. This place isn’t our first choice for sandwiches in Broward, but it’ll do for a quick lunch if you’re not in the mood for one of Wilton’s better options." - Carlos C Olaechea

Papa Duke’s Deli is a true treasure for anyone craving fresh, flavorful, and hearty deli food. Tucked away yet always buzzing with locals, this spot combines a no-frills charm with outstanding quality that keeps you coming back for more. The menu offers a wide array of classic deli options, but the standout for me has to be their stacked sandwiches. The pastrami on rye is nothing short of perfection—thinly sliced, tender, and bursting with flavor. Pair it with one of their homemade soups, like the chicken noodle, and you’re in for a comforting, satisfying meal. For breakfast, their egg and cheese bagels are a game-changer: freshly baked bagels loaded with fluffy eggs and melty cheese, made just the way you like it. And don’t skip the side of coleslaw or potato salad—they’re house-made and perfectly seasoned. What makes Papa Duke’s truly shine is the personal touch. The staff treat every customer like family, with friendly smiles and quick service. They genuinely care about their food and the people they serve, which creates a welcoming atmosphere you can’t help but appreciate. If you’re looking for a classic deli experience with top-notch food and warm hospitality, Papa Duke’s Deli is the place to go. Affordable, delicious, and downright satisfying—this is a spot you’ll keep recommending to everyone you know. Five stars all the way!

Absolutely delicious! Stopped here one morning on my trip to Fort Lauderdale. Ordered the corned beef sandwich which was arguably one of the best I’ve ever had. Kitchen was nice and service was prompt. Liked it so much, I ordered the pastrami to go! Definitely will come back on my next trip to Fort Lauderdale.

Google
Papa Dukes doesn’t disappoint. Everything is made with only the best ingredients and it’s made with care by the friendliest people around. I just went in on Thursday for the Thanksgiving sandwich!

Google
in the dimest of hours emotionally and around the afternoon physically papa dukes provides the most nessecary support to my existence. To say their thanksgiving sandwich is michelin worthy is an understatement because when i die i expect that sandwich waiting for me at the pearly gates. The masterful layers glitter like gold in the sun and give me a reason to live. the staff is kind and welcoming with an adorable dog .

It’s the perfect spot to pick up a sandwich before you picnic at the beach! The folks are friendly, the ingredients are fresh, and the sandwiches are very tasty. Featured below is the Drunken Brisket and the Fresh Mozzarella.

When I was living in Ft. Lauderdale I ordered from here a few times. Being a NYer pretty picky about my sandwiches. I’ve had the Italian and I also ordered a turkey cheddar BLT. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS. Probably one of the best TURKEY BLTs Ive ever had. It’s a standard mom and pop shop, which I like to support. The owner and employees are really polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend giving this place a shot!

Google
It's really good to eat the most popular bacon sandwich with a small potato salad and triangular shortbread! I want to come and eat its ice cream and snacks next time.

Google
Perfect take out deli place. Never had a bad sandwich there. Fresh ingredients, locally sourced bread, and their orzo salad is light and fresh. This is one of our neighborhood go-to spots.

Yelp
DELICIOUS sandwiches and good vibes! We got a turkey wrap and a ham and cheese sub and you could taste the love in them. Pro tip: get the jalapeño cheddar wrap!

Patricia V.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious i ordered a turkey sandwich which came with provolone cheese hot peppers the whole works with a ginger carrot soup and 2 slices of toast on the side

Yelp
Papa Dukes has free parking lot, a nice cozy, clean deli spot great vibe with friendly staff and Louie to greet you. Also pet friendly and allow Lily come in a has a new friend Louie. Breakfast Bowls, sandwiches and homemade soups are delicious, freshly made on the spot. And great homemade baked cookies for desert and specialty teas, coffees and lemonade. Staff and Louie and welcoming and great vibes.

Yelp
Can't believe we have never been here and they said they've been opened for 2 years! My son and so went for lunch and everything was amazing! We had the softest homemade buns (sorry I can't remember what they called them). We decided to get the Tuna salad and the Italian and we live to share so we both had half of each sandwich. Although these sandwiches are big enough to split! We also went with the potato salad which is definitely homemade with mustard, eggs and vinegar...so yummy! They said they sell it by pint and quart I think that's what they said. We definitely will be back!

Yelp
I'd been looking at this place for a while. We were in the area and the opportunity came up to this place. We were a little worried at first since the parking was totally empty. "Closed ?". Nope they were open. When we walked in and we were greeted by Louie, the friendliest dog I've ever met. We were also happy to see how well kept this place is. As far as service, it's a sub shop, there's not much service, that's not important. What we had, my wife and daughter both had tuna. They both liked it. It was not overloaded with mayonnaise or anything else. Me, I hate tuna, so I had a capicola sandwich with double meat. I probably should have gotten it with single meat, because it was enormous. We all got it with orzo salad and potato chips. The orzo salad was a nice change. The potato chips, I have never had Joe chips before. They were much better than Lays or Wise potato chips. Definitely a great place.

Yelp
We are always looking for new places to try when we are out East and today we picked Papa Duke's. When we drove up, we weren't sure if they were open as there wasn't a single car in the parking lot, but the neon OPEN sign was lit, so we took our chances and parked and walked in. We were greeted, unexpectedly, by Louie. Louie is a very calm sweet dog who planted himself under the Christmas tree that is still displayed. We were a little taken aback that there was a dog hanging out, but we didn't mind. At first glance we still had some doubts. I decided to get a tuna on rye with provolone, my daughter had tuna on the soft Italian roll with provolone & cucumbers and my husband had some type of meat sandwich on the soft Italian roll with double meat. We all opted for the orzo salad and got a bag of chips. I got a traditional (retro), my husband got Jalapeño and my daughter had sour cream & onion. I got a Joe's half & half tea. We loved that they had a different brand of chips and there was something for everyone. Our total bill came out to $65 (which included tax & a small tip) - although honestly other than ringing us up & making our sandwiches we did self clean up and carried food to the table ourselves. I liked the tuna. I have read a few other reviews where it was indicated at too salty or not enough seasoning or not enough Mayo. Tuna is hard. I am not always a fan of eating it at a restaurant. I found the Mayo level to be perfect. I hate wet drippy tuna. You can always add more Mayo, but you can't take it away. The sandwich was huge. Both my daughter and I took home 1/2 the sandwich. I was super excited that they had rye bread that was WITHOUT seeds. The bread was super fresh and soft. We all had the orzo salad. Definitely a nice change of pace from the typical Cole slaw (yuck), potato or macaroni salad most places offer. While we were there several more people came in. One couple stayed and the others were take out. The eating area was clean and the service was friendly. I would definitely return to try some of the specialities.

Yelp
Grabbed to go an order the other day, take some food on the boat, and must say the meat was very fresh, the roll was great, and the chicken salad was delicious. My partner got a wrap that was just a little runny and ripped thru the bag. Very helpful service at the register and chef was easy to order with. Only dining inside with a limited seating area. Will Def come back an try again. Can't wait

Yelp
Excellent food and great service! Highly recommend it to anyone!! Love the crusty rolls with a the sesame seeds on it.

Yelp
With the convertible top down, Beloved got me into his classic Porsche and took me to Papa Duke's Deli in Wilton Manors. Located behind the Dairy Queen, it has good off-street free parking. Papa Duke's is a small counter-order deli with maybe six small tables for seating. Its menu is rather small too but with the usual deli suspects like corned beef or their signature build your own of Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, Salami, Capicola, Pepperoni, Hummus, or made to order Tuna or Chicken Salad with choices of American Cheese, Provolone, Swiss, or Havarti. They also have a board over the order counter with other listed items. I went for the hot pastrami with provolone and a side of Orzo salad with sundried tomato, fetta, fresh basil, and white balsamic. The pastrami was lean, well stacked, and some of the best tasting and most flavorful I've ever found. And the orzo salad with its vibrant-tasting sundried tomatoes was super good. Beloved went for their Italian with pepperoni, salami, capicola, ham, provolone, sweet and hot peppers, onion, and Papa Duke's Dressing. I tried it too and likewise with Beloved can only say OK as I believe we are both spoiled by the Italian hoagies of Laspada's. The proprietors of Papa Duke's are super friendly as well as attentive to any special needs or wants, making the place a pleasure to be at.

Yelp
My friend and I ate here for the first time today. We both had a turkey sub. Mine was on the mezza dopio bread with mayo, mustard, tomato, and black olives. It was absolutely delicious. The bread had the perfect consistency, and the turkey and toppings tasted so fresh. I decided to pick up a sandwich for my husband and got him a roast beef (medium rare) and cheddar on the same bread as my sandwich. He loved it and said he'd like to go there and try some of the other sandwiches as well. I also picked up a couple of brownies. They were delicious as well! Obviously we will be going back again! The prices were on par with the quality and amount of meat put on the sandwiches.

Sarah M.

Yelp
This is a great local spot! It was our first time trying this place over the weekend, and I can guarantee we will be back. This spot is small yet clean, and the service is very friendly and prompt. My boyfriend and I each got an Italian sub, and wow, the quality of the meat, cheese, and toppings was amazing. Unfortunately the bread we chose was a bit tough- it felt like we kind of had to rip into it. However, there were a couple other types we could've chosen from, and will likely choose differently on our next visit. Overall, incredibly happy we found this spot!

Yelp
Well I've heard so many good things about this place so today I went there with a client for a quick bit. We ordered the tuna sandwich which was large enough to share which actually was a good thing. The tuna was very salty and my client couldn't even finish the half. I was disappointed because again I heard lots of good reviews. Lastly please update your menu on the website. I understand prices go up but if you are going to have people look at the site and look for reasonable places to spend money you must have updated pricing. Your website read $9.75 but actually the cost was over $12.50.

Steve R.

Yelp
Consistently fast and friendly service with quality food, and all at reasonable prices. Can't ask for more! Go-to's include turkey, pastrami and chicken salad, all excellent.

Tracy L.

Yelp
Decided to go for a sandwich instead of a burger. Headed straight to YELP, of course. This led us to Papa Duke's Deli in Wilton Manors. First of all, looks can be deceiving. Ever watched "Doctor Who", preferably the Tom Baker episodes? Well, the T.A.R.D.I.S is a police box, just a tad bigger than an old-fashioned American phone booth. But on the inside, it is at least the size of a 2-3 bedroom apartment! Same with Papa Duke's. It has enough seating for groups of people on lunch. There are ample snack and drink displays to help you round out your actual food choice(s). You know we are all about service, and our sandwich maker didn't disappoint. He gave a warm greeting, and provided a detailed recommendation when asked about the most popular sandwich. Speaking of the sandwiches, we probably have never seen such beautiful artistry! We asked him to make our sandwiches the way he would make them if he were to eat them. He loaded them up with impeccable craftsmanship! Everything fit with precision within the bread! You know how some places wow their customers with overstuffed sandwiches. Or sandwiches that have lettuce and meat sticking out from the sides of the bread. Not here! Added some gourmet sodas from the United States of Soda, a Brazilian lemonade, a mattress-sized brownie, and tire-sized cookie to the lineup, and were ready to depart. Do something different for yourself, friends, and family. Take them to Papa Duke's Deli instead of for burgers, fried chicken, or pizza. We have strayed so far from homemade or house-made sandwiches that it is sad. Let's get back to basics, shall we. Visit Papa Duke's Deli to fill up on sandwiches, chips, and drinks. And to beat the heat, take a few steps south to Dairy Queen for shakes, sundaes, and ice cream. This would make for a fun and filling day!

Yelp
First time! I was in the area and had this taste for a tuna sandwich so Papa Dukes popped up here. My first impression was the atmosphere 5 stars just for the ambiance! Music was perfect with the perfect volume. I ordered the tuna sandwich was made to order the price was right. The taste was perfect and not salty like i saw other review. I am on a salt restricted diet and would of known. The owner was nice and friendly. They also have some amazing home made baked goods

Youp 9.

Yelp
Giving it an OK only because nothing blew me away. I'm not saying this as a negative. It's a deli and you can only praise deli's so much. Don't forget, this is my opinion and to repeat myself this is not a negative review. I would go back. Staff by the way are extremely friendly and accommodating.

Shanese L.

Yelp
Papa Duke's is your favorite neighborhood deli that serves gourmet sandwiches, prepared dishes that are always changing, and an amazing breakfast selection. I stumbled upon Papa Duke's when I moved into the area and I am so happy I did. The establishment itself is kept very clean and they use quality ingredients in all of their food. I love coming here and trying new things! The staff is very friendly as well. I am a bagel lover so of course I can recommend to you any bagel, although I do an everything with crème cheese, avocado and tomato. I recently had their tomato and mozzarella sandwich with pesto and balsamic and it was freaking incredible. I had mine with their orzo which was also soooo tasty, im pretty positive I could taste some sun dried tomato in it. I love restaurants that aren't afraid to season and jazz their food up. Definitely not your average deli! Love this place!

Gina S.

Yelp
Every time I've been to Papa Dukes, I'm never disappointed. The outdoor area is nice when the weather matches. All the sandwiches are delicious. They're really generous on the meat and the soft bread... I have dreams about it. The owner is super sweet and always helpful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice deli.

S L.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, soups and salads! Lots of gluten free options too. Atmosphere casual and chill vibe. Highly recommend!!

J S.

Yelp
Wow. This place is right by our place and we'd been meaning to go there all summer but whenever we'd think of it, it would be closed. Today we lucked out and our hunger overlapped with their hours so we headed right over. There's plenty of parking here so that was great. Upon entering the place is modern and minimalist while still staying charming. The folks working there were really nice and we ordered immediately and our Sammy's were up in just a few minutes. I got the corned beef and I can't express to you how good it was. My hubby got the turkey BLT and it was also amazing. We had the potato salad as a side. Everything was satisfying. Portions were just right for us. I really dislike huge sandwiches where you see it and think "I have no idea how I'm going to eat this" because it's comically large. These were large enough to be a good value but not so large that it turned into a mess. We will 100% return because it was too good to not have again (and again and again and again).

Linett N.

Yelp
Service is nice. Idk about the dog just hanging out inside but whatever ..... The staff was really nice super friendly and energetic. My tuna fish sandwich however was eghhh the tuna needed more mayo and seasoning and the bread was super salty .... Not affordable for a quick lunch

David L.

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches .. great service and friendly. 10/10 thank you. Theres a frenchie that's super cute and friendly :)

Yelp
Papa Dukes is new to the Wilton Manors scene. There are a few delis near by so that's who i compare it to in this review. We walked into Papa Dukes for lunch and quickly looked at the menu. It consisted of 5 sandwiches and some salads. I was hoping for a pastrami sandwich but unfortunately they did not have it. They did have a corned beef sandwich but that's not my thing. So i did what any good reviewer would do, i ordered two sandwiches. I got the drunken brisket and the Italian. In my opinion, both sandwiches were mediocre. The brisket was tender but there just wasn't much flavor and i wish it would've come up with a cup of the au jus because i thought it was a little dry. The Italian (my preferred choice of the two) was solid. Meats were cut thin, great combo of flavors but it didn't have anything that stood out. We got their orzo salad and coke slaw with it. Orzo was alright. The coleslaw though was just plain not good. It was almost dry and lacked any real flavor. One thing that also rubbed me the wrong way was the pickle. I expect a big half sour with my sandwich. These thin spears did not give me deli pickle vibes. Papa Dukes adds something different to the Manors but for me, I'll leave the neighborhood in the future if i want a food deli sandwich.

Idan E.

Yelp
This is our go-to place because the food is so tasty and the service is always above and beyond. Often times, I am greeted by name! They go out of their way to ensure their guests are getting the best meal. Everything is fresh and made with love. We typically order one their bowls for breakfast and you can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches.

Julie F.

Yelp
We had a great lunch here today. It's easy to find -- immediately north of the Dairy Queen -- and there's free parking right out front in the lot. We got there a bit early to avoid any lunch crowd rush. We were able to easily order and sit inside at one of their few tables. There's also a picnic table -- out front, outside. Service was fast and friendly. Even the cashier gal was pleasant and welcoming. I got their corned beef on rye with mustard and a side of potato salad. He got a tuna salad on a ciabatta with onion and tomatoes. His side was their orzo salad. My corned beef was melt in your mouth tender. It wasn't overly salty either. The rye bread was a bit softer than I usually like, but paired well with the meat. The creamy potato salad had eggs and celery in it. He liked his tuna salad -- it had celery and mayonnaise in it . His ciabatta was more like a hoagie roll -- but no complaints. The orzo side salad had sun dried tomatoes and feta in it -- a bit more personality than my potato salad. In addition to lunch, they also serve breakfast. And if you're not into one of their specialty or signature sandwiches, they also have several salads -- including a "make your own". This place had already garnered a bit of buzz. A deli is unique in Wilton manors. I'm sure they will continue to do quite well -- and we hope it's for a long time to come.

Natalie A.

Yelp
Really great spot for sandwiches and inventive salads! The selection of sandwiches and salads was excellent and the chef was happy to answer my questions about the fennel salad as a side with my meal. The pastries looked amazing and the waitress couldn't stop raving about the cookies! I'll definitely be back. Great new shop to have in the neighborhood !

Joe D.

Yelp
5-star service, 5-star ambience, 4-star food. Terrifically friendly, authentic new deli on Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors...food was great but pricey. 5-star service. These folks REALLY shine on service. A friendly greeter/cashier is right by the door, the counter guys are also stellar/friendly. BTW, Wilton Manors being a very gay town, I should point out that one of the counter guys is a hunk in a very tight t-shirt : ) Service was fantastic, and on a par with our old local Korean deli in Manhattan (for a couple of decades I went there almost daily because they were so friendly, and I'm still Facebook friends with both owners : ) 5-star ambience. They were pretty busy the morning I went in, so there was no chance to quiz them about which one was Papa Duke, who the hunk in the tight t-shirt was, etc. It's quaint and small inside; they've done a great job with ambience inside (no trace of the previous antique store or the old laundromat). Outside there's a sidewalk table, and the area's only Dairy Queen if you need dessert. Parking is a breeze in their lot, in an area with very little free parking. 4-star food. My BLT was delicious and perfect, as was the cole slaw side. Again, it was a near exact match for my favorite BLT of all time: the aforementioned Manhattan Korean deli version. Funny aside: The husband of the Korean couple there, who made the sandwiches, used to theatrically roll his eyes each time I got a BLT, and threaten to give me something else instead (hehe, I ordered it a LOT). My only gripe was that the prices seemed a bit high, but I'm pretty tight with a nickel.

Rick E.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and love the Orzo pasta salad. We use the App to order ahead and pick up....very convenient.

Chase D.

Yelp
Incredible experience. My Italian on ciabatta was very good and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The deli was very clean inside too. I will absolutely be back and with friends

Katarzyna P.

Yelp
Best sandwich I've had in Florida! Service is excellent and the vibes are amazing. Great for sit down and to go!

Melissa N.

Yelp
Updating to help my fellow Type Ones in their search for good quality Keto type options at affordable prices! I made a delicious salad full of non-sugar raising options and don't get me started on the breakfast bowl....So much delicious food for a fair price annnndddd great for a Type One diabetic! His coffee is also flavored so we can drink it without using sweeteners. It's the best flavored ice coffee around!

David K.

Yelp
Great sandwiches , both breakfast and lunch!! Definitely 5 Stars!! recommend the bagel, egg cheese and bacon, breakfast sandwich, or the Italian sandwich with hot peppers!!!

Keith S.

Yelp
This place was pretty new when I visited. The sandwich I ordered (egg salad on rye) was just ok. It was a little pricy for what it was and it only came with pasta salad which didn't have much flavor. The service was fine, nothing special, it wasn't busy and we waited about 10 minutes. The space was fine too, nothing special, limited outdoor seating options.

Bob G.

Yelp
One of our favorite lunch spots! Sandwiches are really delicious - with fresh baked bread options, meat straight off the deli slicer, lots of options for chips and sodas, yummy pickles and very good sides. Staff is friendly And the little puppy mascot is adorable.

Kenneth B.

Yelp
Just got home and looked at the receipt and didn't know that the Italian had a surcharge of $2.25. I didn't request bacon and didn't see bacon on the itialian sandwich, but I guess "Shannon" needed it more than I do and I left a guilt tip. That's what do we these days right? Food was good, potato salad was bland, pickle was not crunchy.

Bret P.

Yelp
Great little spot on the drive. Friendly owner/staff and clean restaurant. I've heard only good things about this place so finally gave it a shot for breakfast this morning. The healthy breakfast bowl was delicious, very filling and very fairly priced. Can't wait to go back and try other items or some lunch sandwiches!

Aaron B.

Yelp
Grabbed some breakfast sandwiches at lunch time and they were both great. Service was fast and friendly. Bread choices were nice. Grabbed a large a berry Tea and it is exceptional too. Nice set up in Deli Papa Dukes!

Adam C.

Yelp
This feels like an owner operated deli. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. It really places you in a good frame of mind. I like that they offer more than just standard sliced bread. The sandwiches are decent and they offer corned beef which is surprisingly hard to find in Wilton but Papa Duke is more than happy to provide it.

Kalei W.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE I'm from upstate NY and I've lived here just over 8 years and until I went to Papa Dukes, I hadn't been able to find a sandwich that matched food from home. We ordered from here 3x the first week I had it. Food is great, staff is really nice and friendly. So glad I found Papa Dukes!

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
It was a tossup between two and three stars for this place. I gave them three because the service was excellent and they accommodated me when I wanted a salad instead of a sandwich for my corned beef. I made a group of people and everyone tried different things but mostly were there for the pastrami, brisket, or corn beef. None of them were outstanding or really worthy of mention. They claim to make their own meat but I have my doubts it was also sliced extremely thin and they used actual bottle of kraft salad dressing which also turned me off. It's OK if you're in a hurry I'm passing by but there are better options out there

Addy A.

Yelp
Not at all I found dog hair on our sandwiches Cho should just loose up or clean up

Benjamin L.

Yelp
Papa dukes just opened and has been causing quite a buzz on Facebook locally, so I went to check it out for lunch today. This place is very small, and was filming for social media advertising, but it is clear that their hearts are in the right place and the freshness and quality are top notch. They were already out of brisket and corned beef, but the roast beef was rare, the bread fresh, the tuna salad tasty, and the patrons enthusiastically happy. The coleslaw was an unusual, sauerkraut like variation I could have lived without, but I'll return to try the corned beef and am reserving an additional star until then. Overall, this is a welcome, casual addition to the Drive.

China N.

Yelp
If you want a great deli sandwich in the Wilton Manors area, this is the place to go!! I always order take-out and everything is very consistent. I love supporting small mom n pop establishments and absolutely adore the Frenchie mascot Louie!!

Ari G.

Yelp
Super great atmosphere and amazing sandwiches. The service was really good and everyone was super nice. Haven't found a deli like this in Florida yet

Mark B.

Yelp
Best Corned Beef Sandwich I have had in Years.... Highly Recommend.... Will be returning AAÀAAAAA++++++++++++++

Matt B.

Yelp
We hosted a pool party and Papa Duke's made great sandwiches, salads and cookies/brownies. Very reasonable price. Everyone raved about the food AND they were able to help us out by providing same-day service! Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

Fedlen P.

Yelp
After reading so many great reviews I had to try it out myself. 10/10 I ordered the Italian sandwich to go. The bread was fresh & portion size large enough. I typically don't like cold sandwiches however I definitely will be coming again. Everything is as fresh, the cold cut meat inside as well as the fresh dill pickles. They offer cold slaw on the side however I'd recommend maybe offering a bag of chips instead.

Hannah R.

Yelp
Delicious Italian sandwich and very friendly staff! Soup was also very good. Looking forward to coming back.

Kenneth M.

Yelp
I personally don't get the hype. I have eaten here twice and it's really just an overpriced sandwich shop! The portions are small and for basically the same price I can grab a sub from laspadas and still have leftovers
