Papa Guido's Pizza

This place is our local go-to pizza place! We have tried most of the items on the menu and they're all delicious. The service is decent, and the staff are very nice. They even called me to give me an update on an order I placed online as soon as they opened the store, which I appreciate so much. I attached a couple of photos from the inside; it is just not a sit down and eat type of restaurant, but they do have a small area with some chairs. Overall, the food is delicious, not a long a wait time typically. I'd suggest ordering inline to save you some time ahead of time.

I’ve been going to Papa Guido’s for 8 years straight, and it’s hands-down one of the most consistent and delicious spots around. Their wings? Best in the state, no exaggeration. I always ask for them well done, and they come out perfect every time: crispy, flavorful, and served with addicting sliced fried potatoes, kind of like Papa Mojos from Shakey’s. The ranch is next-level, and the pizza never misses. The crust is always crispy, the ingredients fresh, and every bite reminds me why I keep coming back. Even the cheese bread is fire. But what truly sets Papa Guido’s apart is the people. The owner and staff are some of the kindest, most humble folks you’ll ever meet. They don’t nickel-and-dime you for extras like ranch,just ask and they’ll happily give you a generous amount. It’s rare to find that kind of generosity and warmth in a restaurant these days. The place itself has that old-school, cozy pizza joint vibe, nothing fancy, just great food and even better people. Prices are incredibly reasonable. It’s always busy for a reason. Can’t recommend it enough.

There are a lot of pizza options in the Southbay, and most leave me asking why??? Too soggy, strange cheese mix, crust that looks and tastes like it may have been frozen... none of that is true of Papa's. Crust and flavors are on point. While they have a fee tables, this is really a pickup or delivery option. Enjoy!

It was good pizza. I wouldn't say it was my favorite ever, but it was satisfying for dinner and reasonably priced.

Papa Guido’s was my go-to pizza place for years, but unfortunately I won’t be ordering from them again. Quality of the food has gone wayyyyy down. I ordered my pizza well done, but it still came so sloppy/droopy/wimpy. I asked for extra pineapple, but they literally poured on like a full layer of pineapple. Lol! Who in their right mind can eat a pizza when it’s so heavy loaded like that? It made the pizza so soggy and gross. The potatoes that come with the fried chicken are so chewy and hard. The fried chicken is over cooked and dry. The pasta with marinara has little seasoning and is so bland. My two-year-old didn’t like it, and he loves pasta. I will say their ranch is good. lol. But that’s it.

I ordered the Speciality pizza with mushrooms, onions, green pepper, sausage, pepperoni. Best pizza I have ever had. Fresh ingredients. The crust just the right thickness.

The Pizza I had was fantastic. But we decided to come, stay and eat our meal in the "Restaurant". Big mistake. It is old, dirty, the tables sticky. Uuuuurg. But with lots of napkins as a table cover it works. So guys: order the very good (!!!) pizza an run ;-)

Crispy Crust, Fresh ingredients... Their pizza does not dissapoint.

Good locally owned establishment. Eaten here a few times since discovering it. The GOOD: Consistently tasty pizzas, the potatoes with ranch, mozzarella sticks with marinara, the cheesy garlic bread, and caesar salad is nicely portioned and all the food satisfies. It reminds me of the locally owned pizza place of my childhood and has that vibe too. The HUH?: Sure sometimes some of the toppings are a little lopsided, for instance olives or garlic may be disproportionally distributed. The portions are good and I haven't had a pizza disappoint yet. I want try some of the pasta, a calzone, and wings next time.

I've been here a few times and you really can't beat the prices! Their food is really good and the pasta is huge portions. The staff is lovely. The front of the house is always smiling with a really good upbeat attitude. The cooks are always hard at work which is probably why it's made in such a timely manner, even on busy days. I know when I have a lot of people/kids coming over we can order from there and it's not going to be super expensive and no one will complain because the food is always good!

I've lived in Redondo beach for 8 years and this is our go to spot every time, no other pizza around compares and we've been to many. This place is always a hit and never a miss. We love their Hawaiian pizza!! 10/10 & their bbq chicken pizza is truly mouth watering, they are the reason I started liking bbq chicken pizza in the first place!!! I've also ordered pepperoni, jalapeño w/ pineapple (yes I'm a pineapple gal) and it's always 10/10 as well. Their hot wings are AMAZING!!! I order them extra well done. We also enjoy their mojos! I ask for these well done too. PS. Their ranch is the best we've ever had on this planet. And they are super generous also!! I love that about this place. All & all, papa guidos you are perfect

This is a hidden gem! The pizza and wings were great! They gave us some sliced potatoes with our meal which were good. The service is great very friendly staff. My only recommendation would be to try to updated the interior of the restaurant. But don't let that deter you from eating at this place! I will be coming back whenever I am in town. I would highly recommend it!!!

The service I give 5 stars. I am new to the area and wanted to feed our moving crew who helped us move into our new home. Everyone enjoyed the pizza varieties we ordered and the person who took the order was extremely helpful with recommendations. Will order again.

Good, not great. We liked the pizza, but it didn't rock our world. The salad was a bit pricey and was basically just a bunch of iceberg lettuce with a few veggies. I'd go back for a late night pizza but I'd skip the salad next time.

Ordered a pizza from them and they sent the wrong one. They don't answer their phones so there was no way to resolve this. Don't order from them

Their hot wings and potato wedges ARE A MUST GET!! 10/10 flavor. Good service as well, they're nice and attentive.

My friends and I had a pizza tasting from 3 different places in the area. And Papa Guido's won by a landslide! I've had pizza from here before and I didn't recall how good it was. We ordered the x large South Bay Deluxe Pizza thin crust extra crispy. The toppings were generously and evenly distributed on the pizza. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp. And price wise it beat the over two. I'm a fan!

Pros the pizza was amazing! My husband and I ordered the half n half South Bay deluxe and the BBQ chicken pizza and it was amazing, they are generous with the amount of toppings they put, the pizza is thin and crispy. The pizza came out fairly quickly and we were helped immediately upon arriving to the restaurant. The people there were friendly. Cons: the place looks somewhat worn down, out dated and empty. But this doesn't take away from the quality of the food and experience here at Papa Guidos Pizza.

This place makes it easy to be a bachelor! This is home. No fancy white tablecloths here, just delicious food at a fair price. Their spaghetti Bolognese is better than my Dad's spaghetti, something I never thought I would encounter. The thin crust pizza would make an Italian cry and a New Yorker realize they have nothing over us...

Pizza, fried chicken, and mojo potatoes go really well together. Their chicken is delicious with tapatio sauce. The mojo potatoes we perfect as well. The pizza wasn't the best but it had a nice crust that was on the crispier side like I like. We got a medium 1-topping pizza with 5 pieces of chicken and mojo potatoes for about $13. The potatoes were really good with the ranch dressing or the Frank's hot wing sauce. They even have an old-school table pac-man game in the corner. Super friendly service and cold beer make it a cool place to hang out and watch sports. They don't have big screen TVs but they have 2 passable tvs that is good enough for watching the Masters golf which was on while we were grubbing.

I was hoping to make this a go to spot after a pretty good first try. Second time it's been over 2 hours and food never arrived. When I called to check on the status all they said was "the delivery guy we'busy." Now I have to try to get a refund from these guys. Don't trust these guys if you need a quick dinner to feed the family.

I ordered a large pizza and pesto pasta, and it was clear that no effort went into preparing my meal. The toppings on the pizza were completely uneven, all piled on one side, and the whole thing was falling apart.

As much as I love this place AND have ordered here for over 15+ years at home and at Patty O's. I was ordering a burger and wings for delivery. I asked for a burger with mushrooms and swiss, he said no swiss, I said provolone? He said mozzarella, I said is that's your only white cheese? Just so you know, I have ordered a mushroom swiss/provolone (okay I don't remember which, but it was NOT mozzarella) burger here several times in the past. Anyway, after he said my only option was mozzarella, I said, okay, never mind and he states, "If it's not white it's not right" and hangs up on me, hangs up...... This is the voice I have spoken to many times, if not all the times I've called, why??I Never again, and I will share this with everyone I know.... Unfortunately.

This is small, neighborhood pizza restaurant has been around for a long time and their recipe (seasoning) has changed a bit over the years but they still serve a good pizza overall, especially considering the price point. They also have a good chicken and potatoes option. I recommend it for takeout as there is zero ambiance and parking is extremely limited. As for customer service, they are efficient but indifferent.

Love their calzones! Amazing service and cool people. The only downside is the parking, it could get tricky during rush hours.

Our local pizza spot. Absolute favorite in Redondo! Fast, quality, not greasy at all. Every time we order it, our guests ask us where it's from. The salads and appetizers are tasty as well. They recently delivered to our kids' birthday party in Torrance and they came right on time. Thank you!

Went to a friends place and we ordered delivery from Papa Guido's Pizza. Ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and half Pepperoni/Everything Pizza. It was hearty and wholesome - extremely delicious. We also ordered some sides including the fried chicken wings and fried potato chips. Both were delectable side options. Took about an hour to get delivered. Everything was labeled so it appeared organized. Cannot speak to the ambiance because I didn't go but the food and service were supreme!

Ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni, black olives and pepperochinis ... what was on the pizza was onions (can't stand them), sausage (don't like it) , red bell peppers (didn't order) and NO PEPPERONI! The pizza did have maybe two whole black olives, sliced to bits and charred (paper-like) pepperochinis. Such a disappointment!

Tried a lot of pizza in my time even in New York. This is definitely a great pizza place really good authentic pizzeria recommend to friends and family and I'm Italian so I know what it is really good sauce and the marinara good customer service friendly environment.

Stopped by while car was getting tinted windows... this place did not disappoint. Good food and if youre going to complain about the inside go pound sand. Enjoy the food.

Really good pizza, not some institutional excuse. Reasonably priced with ample portions of toppings, good homemade crust. Yeah, you're gonna like. Fast and friendly delivery too. Get two and save one for breakfast.

We eat there more than we should but between the pizzas and the meatball spaghetti, we can't help it. Food is DELICIOUS, pizza is some of the best around and it's so reasonable. Plus the people are so incredibly nice. I always make it a point to tip, their machine isn't really set up to give you the opportunity so they aren't pushing it on you at all. If you ask for a receipt you can tip them. It's so good and combined with just genuinely nice employees.

I moved to California a year ago and since pizza is my favorite food, I immediately started trying every place I could find. This review is LONG OVERDUE, but I need to let everyone know that this place is a hidden gem!! Every (and I mean every) time I've gone there I've gotten my order on time, correct, and at a fair price! I feel like almost everything in South Bay is overpriced, but this place not only it makes an amazing product, they also don't overcharge to do so. Over time I've found myself recommending this place to new friends who are shocked/surprised that they've been sleeping on this place that is so conveniently located. Don't. Sleep. On. This. Place. Hands down, they have the best bang for your buck along with the best flavor- buyers remorse won't be a thing :) Oh, and they're hilarious too after they start to recognize you, plus it's kind of great to see the same team whenever you go there which speaks loads about the management of the place to me.

Papá Guidos is the best pizza in town hands down!!! Mario Garcia took real good care of me while I visited my friend in redondo!!!

Great little neighborhood spot with great pizza at very reasonable prices- absolutely ZERO "ambience" and a rather dingy appearance, but a nice little indie place with reliably decent food at cheap prices- with most human owned pizza places at the beach charging 40$ for a pie, Guidos is a great refuge-

The pizza and wings were so good! We also got potato wedges, mozzarella sticks and a side salad. Customer service was 5 out of 5 without a doubt. I wish we could give 6 stars for customer service. It's opened late so it's an added bonus.

Truly can't beat the price/quality of their personal pizza here at papa guidos. This is definitely a to go or delivery spot. The food is always ready within 10 minutes of every time I've ordered. South Bay gem.

All time favorite pizza restaurant! It's honestly so underrated and the workers here are so kind and laid back where they make you feel at home. 100% recommend! Their chicken Alfredo pizza is top tier its my go to pizza everytime:,) also very affordable. appreciate this place!

Do not--for any reason--dine in at this location. The entire dining area was dirty and dark. We had to ask them to please turn on the light. Not sure light made it better. The photos say it all. Sticky table. Dirty and worn carpet. The dining area used like a back room. So why two stars instead of one? The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. I'd order takeout. But the restaurant should really just close the dining room entirely.

Pizza is always good and prepared in a timely manner. I miss the dining room that gave the place good energy.

I liked their pepperoni pizza! Their place of business is not very nice, they need to remodel- and clean!! But food is ok.

It is a simple restaurant with great hospitality when you come in. The pizza is excellent and the owner could not be nicer. I've only eaten the pizza and I can recommend it's one of the best in the South bay I think the restaurant is more suited for takeout and delivery the quality of food is superb specially for the price. go enjoy this one. Holy moly! BEST PIZZA EVER, papa guido DONT PLAY SON! A hard man with a jelly exterior and ties to the mafia. He's your traditional Italian pizza spot owner that taste like your Italian grammas. He made my motha cry in a good way. He may or may not be trafficking stuff and using it as a front tho. DELICIOUS

Got a couple of calzones to go and not only were they filling and delicious, they were reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
