Papa Noodle

This food is some of the best noodles I have had. They are hand pulled and the meat and broth is delicious. I have been there 3 times now, and I always order the beef brisket noodle soup. The chilli oil is delicious and very spicy. There was not much service apart from when your food is brought to your table, and there is no waiters checking in on you, which would be my only feedback. Otherwise, I will continue to come to this restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious.

Pleasant, calm experience, despite it being fairly a busy lunchtime with various customers. Ordered the Lanzhou beef noodles (three noodles thin, spicy), delicious and large portion size for the price. Would definitely revisit based on this meal alone. Service is polite but very minimal, no check up during your meal, and fairly distant, I sat down and no menu brought out, likely since you can order via QR code. The food was brought to the table, and that was all the interaction we had hence 3 stars. This could be plus for some who just want to be left alone, but there is 12.5% service charge added to total cost of your meal regardless. The menu somewhat differs from their website, and seems to be variable according to what is available on the day. I ordered using the QR and quite a few items I wanted to try were greyed out. Non-alcoholic drink offerings, especially tea, was also very limited which was a surprise. Would still revisit!

Very authentic Chinese food! The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The environment is great, and the service is really friendly. My favorites are the sesame sauce noodles, beef noodles, and skewers — they’re absolutely delicious!! The location is also super convenient, right outside Holborn Station. I’ll definitely come again next time:)))

We went here for a work lunch and the service was excellent, from the smooth ordering process- each table has its own Qcode allowing for online orders and payment, to the quick service, and finally to the wonderfully flavoured food. We tried starters, prawns and chicken- great for sharing and full of flavoir, and the mains- the hand pulled noodles and brisket beef were exceptional, the thick noodles were slightly doughy but the egg fried rice was delicious! They were not offering hot teas at the moment, bit hoping they reintroduce them for the winter season. I would definitely recommend and of there is a wait, tables do become available quite quickly.

Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles Review: The noodles are incredibly fresh and chewy, hand-pulled right before your eyes. The beef broth is rich and aromatic, with tender slices of beef and a hint of radish. Service is quick, and the ambiance is cozy. A truly authentic taste of Northwestern China! Highly recommend!

Absolutely love Papa niu! The Lanzhou beef noodles here are incredible — rich, flavorful broth and perfectly chewy handmade noodles (I always go for “three thin”). It’s pure comfort on a cold London day. The lamb skewers are smoky and juicy, and the big plate chicken noodles are perfect for sharing. Everything tastes so authentic, just like back in China. There’s usually a queue, but totally worth the wait. My go-to spot near the British Museum! 🍜🔥

Brought the braised beef brisket noodles, there was very little meat and no pak choi in the dish, yet advertised in picture. The soup was flavourful though noticeable had lots of oil. Service was fast and the food came very quickly. Overall experience is good but not amazing, and rated as such.

I ate a very pure traditional Chinese ramen! It's so delicious and good price with good quality. There are six kinds of noodles to choose from, and there are many delicious snacks, desserts and barbeques. There is no need to queue up to come to this store during the peak hours of waiting. I will come again next time.
