Ate lunch here with coworkers and service was really prompt. The taste of our food was generally good, but the food was pretty oily. The complimentary tortilla chips are addictive and really, really crispy so somewhat hard to chew.

You have to look but you can find or createow carb options. I got the half and half fajitas and out the rice and beans on the side. Delicious. I also recommend the mojito with no sugar. It's strong and delicious.

I've been here 5 or 10 times and love it every time. The enchiladas and fish tacos are delicious, as are the margaritas and guacamole, which can be freshly prepared table side. Ambience is good, too. Sometimes it gets very busy, typically for dinner on weekends in the summertime.

This place is consistently great, and the house margarita is the best margarita for your buck in Boston! The vibe at this location is more hip and crowded than the others - it's a great place for fun after work drinks or meeting up with friends or a lively date. If you're going on a Thursday or Friday after work, get there early if you want to grab a place at the bar - it fills up fast. For a table after work, it's usually pretty easy, but a wait starts around 7pm. Their guac is super fresh, and I would highly recommend the fish tacos and the salmon salad. They've recently expanded their menu to include more taco and heart healthy options too. They have a great gluten-free menu and even offer gluten-free chips! I went here on my birthday and they did not disappoint - upon hearing it was my birthday the waiter brought out flan without my friends even asking him to! The staff here is super friendly always. Go, have a margarita (never more than two, they pack a punch!) and enjoy!

You walk by and wonder if the food is good, or if people actually eat here...but I am telling you, YES!!! This is a must try! We came in at prime lunch time and the line was to the door, did not take longer than 5 minutes before I was placing my order. You get to watch them work while you wait in line. Husband found us a spot in the limited seating, so make sure your OK with eating on the go if necessary. They do service beer, so enjoy yourself. The food has so much flavor and really really is more than enough for the price. I ordered way too much!! Super steak nachos are yum, Iquitos were OK, make sure to add salsa! ****TIP**** this place is CASH ONLY! !!

Came in a year after my first visit with pretty much the same group of co-workers. I have to say that the service was pretty bad. Especially for a restaurant at this price point. It took a while for our pitchers of margaritas to arrive at our table. When they did it took another 5 minutes or so for them to finally bring glasses. The guacamole was still excellent. The other food items I had were either unmemorable. This place is for you if you are looking for Mexican appetizers at a bar in a nice atmosphere.

My previous review was: Best Mexican food in Boston thus far. Originally from CA and I've been craving good Mexican food ever since I left. This place is it My new review: Papagayo is mediocre at best. There’s an okay selection of food, but definitely better spots if you want more authentic Mexican food.

Good for drinks but I wasn't impressed by the food. They definitely capitalize on their location for post work dinner and drinks. The food was mediocre but it was the fact that I ordered the salmon salad. The table side guacamole looks good. I really enjoyed my mojito and the margaritas I have gotten here. The bartender was very nice. We came early luckily to avoid a wait but have been at the bar when it has gotten quite crowded.
