Papagayo Golden Palms Beachfront hotel

Papagayo Golden Palms Beachfront Hotel is a wonderful resort with wonderful staff! The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, quiet and private and felt like we were tucked away by the beautiful landscape and gardens. The pool was big and relaxing, the beach access is such a bonus too! There were chairs to sit on and relax by the beach as well as hammocks. Breakfast was delicious! My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was so accommodating, pleasant and really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Kudos to Daniela, Carlos, all the restaurant staff and drivers who helped us. Our stay in Costa Rica was memorable because of their warm hospitality!

A nice place for a family vacation. Very quiet and exclusive. All the service people are friendly and attend to everyone’s needs and request. We spend 5 days and 4 nights in their hotel. Very nice breakfast inclusive with your check-in. The beach is walking distance from the hotel. They have a nice bar for your drinks. The rooms are very clean and really spacious.Me and my kids also went biking around using their mountain bikes. It was a good adventure during the holidays. Just be extra careful with the vehicle traffic. They have a nice area to bike and explore the nice scenery. Doing the reservation is also easy and hassle free. If you are a foreigner you can connect in English and Spanish. All the staff can communicate in both languages.

Beautiful resort, grounds are gorgeous, rooms are nice and roomy. Only about a minute walk from the pool. The food was great we enjoyed every dish we ordered. They provide breakfast in the morning which is nice. The only thing that could be better is if they had more chairs around the poll. There is a family ok Monkeys in the trees next to the pool which offers some entertainment.

The service was impeccable from the moment we drove into the parking lot and we were met with a welcome drink and cool towels. Daniela was extremely friendly and helpful with regards to anything that we required as our concierge. Our room very lovely although smaller than it looked in the pictures. We had a small deck out front which was lovely however we could see the deck for the next unit which was rather close. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning and the refrigerator worked well so we were very comfortable there. It was a little far away from any of the beaches so it required a vehicle as it is not close to any other restaurants or activities. They did offer kayaking which we did not do. We spent a lot of time in the pool which was lovely and service for drinks and food were excellent. Sergio, Harley and Andrea (a a couple of others whose names I did not catch ) were very attentive while we ate our meals there. My girlfriend said Harley made an excellent expresso martini!

What a beautiful resort! This is my favourite style of resort, only 40 rooms, amazing service from the staff, beautiful grounds like being in a garden. The food was great from the restaurant, the rooms were good layout and the beds were very comfortable. The pool is big with lots of room for kids to play. The beach is really cool, black sand and when it’s high tide you can walk out so far, great for young kids. During breakfast we were able to watch howler monkeys in the trees. What an experience for only being 30min from the airport. At night they set up a campfire for my family as well. Amazing resort!

This hotel is set in a stunning tropical paradise. Lush greenery surrounds you, creating the feeling of being immersed in the jungle. The service was impeccable—upon arrival we were warmly greeted with a refreshing flor de Jamaica drink and cool towels. Towering trees on the property are home to a large family of howler monkeys, along with iguanas and countless bird species. In the evenings, fires were lit in three separate fire pits for guests to enjoy. I will definitely return.

We had a fantastic stay at Papagayo golden palms resort. We stumbled across this place almost by accident, we were very tired from the day. By the moment we came in we were helped so much by Daniella at the front desk, she helped arrange rooms very quickly and helped us book activities for the coming days. All of the staff were extremely helpful. The scenery on the resort was absolutely gorgeous, with fire pits by the ocean at night, a beautiful pool, and a small intimate feel of the resort. We went paddle boarding and biking as well. At the end of our stay Daniella gave us a coin and local chocolates from Costa Rica, which made us feel so welcome and happy to take home a piece of Costa Rica with us. Would highly recommend this hidden gem!

We stayed at Golden Palms Hotel during our trip to Costa Rica and had a really lovely experience overall. The room was perfect — exactly as pictured — clean, comfortable, and steps away from the beach.||The restaurant and food were fantastic, if a little on the pricey side. We especially want to thank Daniela, Sergio, and Andrea, who went above and beyond to take care of us. Their kindness and attention made our stay feel extra special.||One note for travelers: if you’re visiting during low season, some amenities may have limited hours. The restaurant closed early most nights and wasn’t open for lunch until our last day, which made planning meals a bit tricky. Totally understandable given the season, but worth knowing in advance.||That said, we still highly recommend this hotel. The beachfront access is unbeatable, we saw howler monkeys right by the Howler Bar, and the pool was beautiful and relaxing. A wonderful spot for a peaceful beach escape.
