"If you want to drink a good cocktail on a front patio this summer while you silently judge pedestrians, go to Paper Daisy, a new cocktail bar on St. Marks. The inside is set up like a cafe, with a bar in one room and some seating in the back, but there’s also a curbside space where you can sit down for a drink with ingredients like rum, coconut water, and cold brew. There are also some solid small plates, like ricotta and chicken liver toast for when you need something that isn’t alcohol. So if you’re looking for a new go-to first date spot, Paper Daisy is perfect." - Bryan Kim, Hillary Reinsberg

"Paper Daisy is a casual cocktail bar down a set of stairs in the East Village. It has a bar area up front and a dimly lit room in the back filled with tables, and there’s also a little patio out front where you can hang out and watch tourists point at things on St. Marks. It’s a great spot for an early-in-the-game date, and it’s also ideal when you just want to sit down and have a conversation with someone without having to shout. If you get hungry, there are some solid bar snacks like a burger, a duck hot dog, and chicken liver toast." - Bryan Kim

Wonderful bar/restaurant. We went for a friend's birthday party and she reserved 3 high tops. The server was so attentive and the drinks came out fast. I ordered a cheeseburger and it came to the table in what felt like 5 minutes - super quick. The fries were so good! We ordered a bunch of cocktails and all were delicious in their own way. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

The teal upholstery and bright colors give this place a beachy vibe. I ate a delicious egg and cheese sandwich staring at a framed Marie-Antoinette snacking on McDonald's fries and giving me the finger. Their cilibir is incredible. Cocktails are refreshing. Somebody really thought about the playlist.

Nice outdoor patio, great happy hour, and the Disco & Doughnuts cocktail was delicious. Fell short on service.

Came here for drinks only, but they do offer food. It’s a Beautiful small space, they have a variety of specialty cocktails and drafts.Definitely recommend the Disco And doughnuts, Halfway to Houston and Tijuana petting zoo :)

Rude staff and sketchy billing I’ve been coming to this spot for years back when it was Cafe Orlin. When it switched to Paper Daisy I was excited and at first this was a pretty good spot. But as other reviewers have said it has MAJORLY gone downhill recently. No surprises it’s now empty most nights... The last few times I was here: - the bald guy with a hat was unbelievably rude to us and kept moving us around because of “reservations” - two of my friends got food poisoning - one girl’s hair caught on fire there and they barely moved a finger - one of the bartenders kept hitting on my friend nonstop and didn’t get the hint - lastly they’ve messed up my check numerous times and I’ve had to go back to get them to fix it. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt but felt super sketchy...

Amazing cocktails and super friendly staff. Went for brunch and sat outside for 3 hours eating/drinking and chatting. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Everything is made in house (even the bread and sausage!) and the quality shows. Will definitely be back. Edit from 5 to 3 stars: went back and the service was disappointing to the point of being rude. Cocktails were still good, one was great and the other was so so, but I had a hard time getting the waitress to acknowledge us to even order anything and it wasn't that busy. Had to ask the bus boy for the check. Thought I had a winner but alas, no consistency.

This place is spectacular. I invited 30 or so friends here for my birthday, without calling ahead. They had space for us inside, and the bar even sent over a round of shots for my friends and me. The ambiance is great, the outdoor patio is gorgeous if the weather is nice, the cocktails are great, and the food is really tasty. This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Cool new cocktail bar. We went for drinks and tried a couple off the menu. Everything was creative and different. For round two we ordered some classics and the did an even better job on these. Overall really liked the place and the contemporary energy both before and after sunset.
