Google
This place is inside Neighbor bakehouse. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Their coffee tasted a bit watery for me but nonetheless, the cup is sooooo cute!! They have outside seating and the price is not too bad. They are a little smaller also though. Anyway, love the design and the art!

Google
The cold brew was decent—it’s got the perfect acidity for my taste. Grab a pastry from Neighbor bakehouse next door (you can order both coffee and pastries at the same counter) to pair with your drink and make a day of it. Such a pleasant treat. Staffs were welcoming and friendly. Wanna try the pour overs on Sunday next time.

Google
Cool little coffeeshop in the dog patch. They serve Asian inspired flavored drinks and pastries that help them stand out amongst all the other cool little coffeeshops in the area.

Google
This coffee shop sells the most delicious matcha latte in the world. I love it!

Google
Great new local pop up in the bakery. Features local roasters and you can order by QR code. Thai iced tea was nice and not too sweet. They do pour overs as well on Sundays!

Google
The coffee was so strong and powerful that I didn’t sleep all night and drove to yosemite and hiked half dome the next day. Pretty incredible stuff.

Google
The best coffee shop in the neighborhood!!! I’ve been to this place every day since it opened a week ago. Perfect way to start to your morning/noon/afternoon. The baristas are very knowledgeable about coffee and make solid recommendations. Check it out and you won’t regret it!

Google
We had an oat latte and passion fruit espresso tonic. Innovative, fun, and you can also buy breakfast treats. New addition to my morning routine!

Yelp
Stopped in here to treat myself to some caffeine after the gym. I was torn between the guava cloud and the pandan coffee, but I ended up going with the guava. It's super refreshing and I loved the slight sourness that the juice gives to the "coffee soda", which is coffee mixed with club soda. I guzzled it all before I even got to the office but I have no regrets!

Yelp
Paper Son was on SF Chronicle's best coffee in the Bay list and the Pandan Aerocano sounded delicious so I decided to stop by. It's a window shared with Neighbor Bakeshouse which is super cool. Got some baked goods while I was there Ordered the Pandan Aerocano and a Cardamom Latte. Aerocano was really unique, had the smoothness of a nitro cold brew in the form of an iced americano. Wish the Pandan flavor was a bit stronger though, see Kopiku for a very nice Pandan flavor in coffee. But that would be the one thing that i would have changed. Latte was solid, nice cardamom flavor and the espresso shined through as well. Not my top coffee spot in sf, but definitely worth a try! Their guava soda coffee sounds cool but more like a summer drink Quick and friendly service

Yelp
Thai Tea Cloud and Pandan Aerocano were excellent. The one thing to notice is that the coffee shop and bakery are separate. Much faster to order coffee at the window than stay in the bakery line and find out whether they have coffee too

Yelp
Decided to give this place another shot, and I'm glad I did. It was way better this time. The cashier was super nice, and my pandan latte came out really fast. Also, the other employee was not chatting in the pick up area. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Yelp
I ordered the pandan aerocano while I was waiting in line for Neighbor Bakehouse. The pandan aerocano was more on the acidic side. Very subtle if any taste of pandan. However, they did say you can request for more pandan syrup if wanted. The coffee was so creamy and smooth which I didn't expect from something without milk. Super smart concept because you can order while you wait for bakeries in the same space and have it done when you get the pastries.

Yelp
* date visited: 11.03.2024 * ordered: pandan aerocano the flavor of the pandan in this drink is so good -- nutty, not too sweet, and accurate. however, i think the addition of the espresso leaned a tad too acidic and dry from me, which didn't match the creamy texture of the drink in my mind. i would love to return and try their other popular drinks, or maybe just get the house made pandan syrup in a latte! i can tell the owners care a lot and the espresso itself was great. server was knowledgeable about the beans and very friendly :)

Yelp
Words cannot describe the love that I feel for Paper Son Coffee. The Asian fusion flavors are unmatched!!! My #1 favorite is the Lilikoi (passionfruit) espresso tonic. I also love the espresso tonic with the guava cloud + the pandan latte!! Every time I've been here, the staff has been exceptionally kind and friendly, and I love how cute their little storefront is. I love this place so much, I even bought a t-shirt to remember it by before I moved out of the neighborhood :') Long live paper son coffee I love you forever !!!!

Yelp
Was a little sad about this one... was so excited to try the pandan aeroceno and while it wasn't sweet at all, I found the pandan flavor to be really diluted such that it almost tasted like water! Maybe just personal preference, but I was not a huge fan unfortunately.

Yelp
Kope House pop up at the venue this weekend. Such a cute simple clean venue. There was plenty of street parking since it's the weekend. Tried the limited offering of the Espresso Granita with Cream - the cream is made from the white rabbit candy. Service quick and friendly. Coffee and drinks all superb!! They were selling their coffee beans on site as well.

Yelp
Nice pop up coffee shop. Easily accessible Tried the Pandan Aerocano. I havent had anything like this before. Really good. Staff rally helpful.

Yelp
Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon, but service was quick! We ordered the Pandan Aerocano, iced Matcha Latte, and the special of the day - a matcha cream pastry with Azuki red bean filling. - Pandan Aerocano (9/10): Creamy with a nice pandan flavor. Great for strong coffee lovers! -Iced Matcha Latte (7/10): Decent, but lacked the umami and bitterness I usually like from matcha. - Pastry (10/10): Absolutely delicious! Not too sweet, highly recommend.

Yelp
Got the guava fizzy coffee thing the first time which was delicious and refreshing. Tried the pandan drink the second time, but it was unexpectedly sour and kind of strange. Would go again for the guava!

Yelp
I was so so happy to hear that paper son came to downtown sf! Been to the pop up at Neighbor Bakehouse and their coffee and unique drinks have been living in my head rent free since. I got an iced latte with their house made pandan syrup. The syrup is not super sweet and strong on the pandan -- taste a bit like kaya jam stirred into the latte. The quality of espresso was also incredible. The barista was really kind and warm; and the shop itself is small but cozy. They also source pastries from different local bakeries. Will be back to try these :) Paper Son is at this location because of the vacant to vibrant program -- show them some love so they stay!

Yelp
Came for my morning coffee and got the Thai tea cloud. If you come early enough, the line is quite short and I got my coffee immediately. They also add cardamom, which I didn't particularly like.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday around 11:30am and it was pretty busy. There is outside seating but pretty limited depending on how busy it is. Drinks ordered: Pandan Aerocano (8/10): the pandan flavor was strong but the coffee was too. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so it was too strong and acidic for me but still good overall. Cardamom Cappuccino (8/10): not a bad cappuccino but was better with the cardamon. Its location next/attached to neighbor bakehouse is also great since you can get both coffee and pastries

Yelp
Saw this place when I was waiting in line for baked goods and decided to check it out. Thai tea cloud - the drink was 60% tea and then 20% cloud so I was a little disappointed it wasn't more full considering the price point. The Thai tea was sweeter than expected but the cloud was very creamy. Pandan latte - I asked if it was possible to do a Pandan latte because I saw Pandan syrup in another drink and they said yes. This is a must get! This Pandan syrup is a little more grassy than other ones I've had but I really enjoyed it. This latte was not too sweet which I liked.

Yelp
hearin stories of worker 'tude from my friends who live near here now, and can i just say? NOT surprised... i was waiting inside for my coffee after i also got a pastry (nobody else was there btw) and after like 5 minutes of me waiting inside the worker told me i can pick up my cup at the outside window. can u please just tell me earlier that i'll need to go outside to pick it up because i couldve been out there much earlier!!! next time dump my shit on my head girl whatever... anyway... the actual drink i got was... fine... honestly not worth $6.50 or however much it was for a little cup of thai tea with strange aftertaste--especially when they take so long to make it with nobody else in the shop. not a place to stop if you're in a hurry at awllll

Kenneth C.

Yelp
Very good quality cold brew and matcha! I highly recommend this place. I just wish they had longer hours, eg opening earlier and also on the weekend.
google avatar

Polly L.

Yelp
I got the passion fruit espresso tonic. I love how they have a QR code for ordering while you're in line for neighbor bakehouse, super convenient. I think the flavor was pretty good but it didn't feel like anything super special. It was $6.5 which is pretty pricey for a small coffee drink. When you order in the app, the tip is auto calculated so you have to press apply after changing the tip amount (just a note!). They have other interesting flavors I want to go back to try but I wouldn't go out of my way to try them.

Yelp
This might just be one of my new favorite coffeeshops in all of SF let alone dogpatch!! This coffee shop is attached to Neighbor's bake house, an SF staple. I really love the creativity in their menu. They have all the staples that you'd imagine with coffeeshops but also two fun drinks: Pandan Aerocano and Passionfruit Espresso Tonic. The pandan aerocano was balanced in the best of ways like a bougie cocktail haha. I've never had this pairing before but the pandan complements the coffee really well. The passionfruit espresso tonic was on the refreshing side perfect for a sunny day. The people at paper son are also the sweetest! I'll definitely have to visit dog patch just to come back here soon

Yelp
New spot for your coffee stop! This pop up offers a few options with little twists in flavor. If you want a light, refreshing, and tart option definitely check out their Passionfruit Espresso Tonic. For those who like to stick to sweet or creamy options, they also have Pandan Aerocano, Thai Tea Cloud, and other usual coffee shop items. The service is friendly but may take a couple minutes since they are a small spot. They share a cute little outdoor seating area with Neighbor Bakehouse too.
google avatar

Alicia L.

Yelp
New coffee stop at Neighbor Bakehouse! I got a latte - they don't have vanilla syrup but they were so nice to add simple syrup instead which I really appreciated. The coffee was SO good and I'd definitely go back! Dangerously convenient that you can get great coffee and pastries with one stop Also gotta add, the prices are great for SF coffee!

Yelp
They don't have cream. For their coffee. I get this is the new thing, maybe my time has come and I've now old school, but come on. Offer cream for those not willing to jump on the new creamless bandwagon, call us Luddites, I don't care. Just get some cream. It's not that hard. Some people just want coffee with cream. Might I say MOST people want a little cream with their coffee. Please.
google avatar

Pearl R.

Yelp
I love the coffee here! It's a small place but they have seating outside so it's nice to chill and read a book but also get some pastries next door!
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
Super friendly baristas and very good thai tea that I would definitely come back for, though a bit heavy in the ice
google avatar

Tim Y.

Yelp
The coffee drinks are very unique and worth trying them all. I appreciate these unique Asian flavors and I want to try them all. The standard drip/espressos/Americanos we're good too. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. Seating is outside benches only, but not a problem for me. I will definitely visit this coffee shop again, especially when I'm always around this neighborhood.

Matthew N.

Yelp
Friendly. Great coffee. Excellent new addition to the neighborhood. I appreciate the vacant to vibrant program for bringing them downtown!
google avatar

Christopher G.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee. I'll definitely be back. The customer service was great and attentive. I offered me an option with Oatmeal cream/milk that was delicious. No sugar needed. I loved that people were with their dogs. Good atmosphere/ambiance.

Vicky B.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe and nice seating area. Stacked menu and options for non-coffee drinks also.

Yelp
Paper son is the spot! The great quality of their drinks, uniqueness of their menu, and friendly service are all reasons that make me want to be a regular. Love that they're an addition to neighbor bake house and their outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Visited this cute place for the first time. Long line outside of the bakery. Got a nice oatmilk cappuccino that was well done. Very peaceful area in dogpatch
google avatar

Lan L.

Yelp
This place shared the location with Neighbor Bakehouse. Since i live nearby I have had the coffee a couple times. I got to try both the Padan Aerocano and the Passion Fruit Espresso Tonic. I enjoyed both of them. The Pandan Aerocano is slightly sweet, very light and you can taste the pandan. The Passion Fruit Espresso Tonic is tart and fizzy. They are both very refreshing I'd recommend trying them out

Yelp
Loved their matcha !!! Kat and the team were slammed with orders !!! I'm so glad they are getting the recognition they deserve despite being recently open. The vibe is cool and the prices are great !

Yelp
Stumbled upon this little coffee & pastry window one day and happy I did. The beverages are great but what makes it so decadent are the baked goods. Soo delicious!!

Michelle B.

Yelp
A new coffee shop!! Their cardamom cream for their Thai tea was very unique and it presented a more cinnamon flavor.

C B.

Yelp
Awesome service and creative tasty drinks. Coffee stand strives to please. Community ambiance.

Mohan Y.

Yelp
Not a huge deal or whatever but this is kinda the best coffee I've had in sf since I moved here 7 years ago

Alex C.

Yelp
Great coffee pop-up attached to Neighbor Bakehouse--had a cappuccino that paired nicely with a char siu croissant from next door.

Dale S.

Yelp
They're not open all the time but they do make a good cortado that's reasonably priced. Double shot of espresso as well!
