Palm Beach County’s Best Tacos

"If the lineup of Jeeps or the sight of the lighthouse isn’t enough of a clue, one has arrived at Jupiter’s taco hot spot, PapiChulo. With two locations in Palm Beach County, a visit to the US 1 spot offers authentic Jupiter vibes and a diverse taco menu featuring Brussels sprouts, coconut shrimp, fish, and the will-you-go-for-it-or-won’t-you gator tacos." - J. Google
Absolutely fantastic tacos! From the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff to the quality of the food, PapiChulo ROCKS! Fun place to hang out for a casual dinner and have a few delicious drinks. Even their chips and salsa are fantastic!

Google
I am in love with everything about this place! Great food, great drinks, and a fantastic staff. My mom and I had dinner here tonight and we shared the chicken fajitas which are AMAZING! Also - Best plantains I’ve had in a while! If you like margaritas, you HAVE to try “The Gloria” We will always be coming back for more! Huge shout out to Brittany for being absolutely amazing to us all night, fabulous waitress and so, so friendly! Thank you!

Google
Great food and place with good vibes. A bar inside and a nice outside seating area. The food looks great.

Google
Really enjoyed their taco Tuesday. Fun atmosphere, food came out very quickly. Everything was hot and prepared well. We will definitely be back!

Google
Tacos were so good. We came back the next day just to get coconut shrimp tacos again. Highly recommend.

Google
Love the place! Food is great, delicious and fresh ingredients. The cocktails are also fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and efficient. Even the patrons are friendly neighborly people. This spot is a favorite of mine, a casual and good taco place! Just take into consideration that parking could be difficult at rush dinner time.

Google
The tacos and margaritas were great! Elijah was our server and was very friendly. Will be back in the future for happy hour!

Google
Such a cute place. Love the selection of tacos and cocktails. I'm used to street tacos having double tortillas, and their tacos come with a generous amount of delicious toppings but on only one thin tortilla, which end up falling apart and creating a mes. The tortilla was also bland and almost dry. I would go back to try other menu items as I only tried a couple of tacos and for their yummy margaritas.

Yelp
After some errands, we decided to go to PapiChulo for some tacos and a drink. Smart move on our part. We were greeted and seated quickly, though it's a small place, you may have to wait. Once seated we found it to be too cold, we were under the Air Con vent and it was blowing! We spoke with the hostess who took it to the manager. He came over, introduced himself, and turned off the air for us. Mind you, the weather was perfect and doors were open so it was still very nice. Excellent customer care right away, nice. We ordered some drinks which were delicious and quick to the table. Next was a round of chips, salsa, and queso. Another good choice. Then we ordered our meals. I had barbacoa tacos by the platter. So three tacos, beans, and rice. The barbacoa was tender, juicy, and flavorful like I've never had barbacoa before. I'd say, it's the best I've tasted. My wife got the gringo tacos which are ground beef, kind of the classic taco we all know. Those were also spot on. Note: I could not eat all three of my barbacoa, they were quite full of meat and filling. Plus I was saving room for dessert. We ordered the doughnuts. Another good choice. They were light with a great crunch of cinnamon sugar and served with a vanilla dipping sauce, as it were. Tasty. It's a great place, with wonderful food, and a super vibe. Everyone there was chill and friendly. Staff was professional and helpful with questions. And the clientele were just nice people having a good time and smiling and laughing a lot. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
**2 Stars** Papichula is just okay. The tacos are decent, but in South Florida, there are plenty of other spots offering superior options. The big draw seems to be the happy hour, but my experience with it was very disappointing due to poor service. Our server was slow, spent a lot of time with tables she knew, and it was almost impossible to get her attention for a beverage. By the time we could finally order a drink, we had to order a second round at the same time just to avoid another long wait. This level of inattentiveness made the experience frustrating. To top it off, my husband accidentally left his credit card there. When we called to have it put aside, we were put on hold for extended periods and then disconnected multiple times. After calling back three times and speaking to different people, we had the same frustrating experience. If you're looking for bad service and mediocre food, Papichula is the place for you. Otherwise, there are far better options in the area.

Yelp
You know the business has amazing food if the plaza next door has an official sign that says "No PapiChulo parking!" We had a great time dining here last Friday night. A little concerned that it would take a long time because we could already tell how packed the restaurant was getting. We had a hard time finding parking in their lot behind the restaurant but eventually we found one. We chose to sit up at the bar and it was a nice indoor / outdoor breeze. Our bartender served us up a tasty margarita and was always right in front of us for the best service necessary. We ordered some tacos and wow the food hit within 5 minutes! It was also delicious. I have eaten at the Royal Palm location but this was my first time here at the Jupiter location. Same great taste and colorful decor. I can't say enough great things about the Carne Asada tacos. No one makes a better steak taco than PapiChulo!

Yelp
Update - beach day followed by my favorite Mexican place in Jupiter! Once again it did not disappoint. Food and Service were both outstanding. We tried a couple different things and I think this time was even better than the first. I love that we have never have a long wait, service is always fast and food tastes amazing! Today's highlight was the Repollito (Brussel sprouts) taco - it's a must!

Yelp
Our waitress was great and very friendly and helpful. The food was very mediocre. I got a margarita and it was basically full of just sour mix - honestly awful. The donuts for dessert were also just okay. I did not eat the yuca fries but was told they were very tasty. Cute ambiance tho
google avatar

Yelp
I go here pretty often for happy hour. The happy hour deals are fantastic and they run for a long time. This location is very near the beach and also walking distance from my girlfriend's apartment - a rarity in south florida. I usually pick a few tacos and a have a couple beers and have a great time. My personal favorite is the al pastor.

Yelp
The inside of the restaurant is super cute and definitely a good chill spot, note the inside is also small so it gets crowded easily there is other seating outside. The servers were quick and very nice The food was ok for the prices they have. That was way too much money spent on one birria taco. That's the price you should pay for at least 2.. the grilled pineapple caught me off guard, I thought it was going to be warm not ice cold I wasn't a fan of that The empanada was amazing! I would return again but I'd have to make sure to go on a night where they have some type of deal.

Yelp
We dined here last night and it was fantastic! The weather wasn't great so we sat inside. If the weather were better, the outdoors is very cute, and makes you forget about where you are (in a strip mall). We started with the chip trio, and loved the tomatillo (green) salsa. For dinner, I had a blackened fish taco and a coconut shrimp taco. Both were excellent but I preferred the fish one, and it was INCREDIBLE. There was a wonderful balance of flavors. The coconut shrimp was also delicious, and you could taste the fresh coconut on the shrimp. My husband had the fried fish taco and carne asada, and he raved about them. Our drinks were excellent-our favorite is mezcal, and they have a lot of great options! Highly recommend !

Yelp
Good taco spot! This is a local favorite. The parking area is always very small, so there's often trouble parking at the actual place. It's an indoor/outdoor type of place. The food is pretty good, but there is often a wait time on taco Tuesday. They have a daily special from 11-6 pm everyday where tacos and chips are $3.50 and drinks are 50% off. Pretty good deal for good quality food.
google avatar

Jami W.

Yelp
Unpopular opinion, but I'm not a big fan of their tacos. Their chips & queso and street corn were GREAT. Tacos, we're all dry and pretty bland in terms of flavor. I had the Birria (had thousands of birria tacos before and this was my least favorite... not made with the typical ingredients) The Barbacoa was very dry, sauce on it would have maybe helped. The only taco that was okay was the Al Pastor, because I believe they put cream on it which helped the dryness. The drinks were good and cheaper than what I expected them to be because it was happy hour...but the show stopper here was definitely the Street Corn (ordered ours off-the-cob).
google avatar

Dorithy Z.

Yelp
WOW! Yes all caps! Visited on a Saturday evening. Great cocktail selections. The queso was perfect and had a nice bite to it. The Birria tacos were something dreams are made of! Not kidding. We also tried two other selections that were delicious. Nice patio.

Yelp
Well, I loved my experience! I hesitate to write this review because I don't want to ruin one of my reasons for enjoying it so much; and that is that my party of 4 pulled right into the parking lot, walked into the restaurant and were seated immediately, when other restaurants in the area would have made us wait quite a bit. I'm afraid my review will make that ease of go away if too many people show up when we do! But, I liked the place and the people there so much, that I have to give kudos where deserved. Fun atmosphere, great cocktail yummy food enjoyed by the 4 of us equally. I was thrilled to have discovered it when we were on a food quest that ended in a few dead ends. Great way to end a day with friends!

Yelp
This place is so charming! It's not what I had expected. It's small, but very cute. I love the outdoor tables and the decor inside. I even commented to my friend how much I liked the actual bar top when we sat down at the bar. Unfortunately it's kind of a hike from where I live, or I would have tried it long ago. When I read that Happy Hour is from open until 6pm, I knew it would be worth a trip north from WPB and it was. Besides all-day HH, I went on Tuesday for taco Tuesday specials. Drinks were half priced, and some tacos, street corn, yucca and a couple other items were $3.50. More items offered at $6. You can't beat that! My margarita was very good and my friend really liked her Long Island iced tea. We had the Barbacoa taco, chips and queso, street corn served off the cob (you get a choice), and the gringo taco. Everything was great! As usual my queso cooled way too fast, so I ate only a quarter of the small ramekin, but that happens at every Mexican place. I do not like cheese sauce unless it's hot hot -- I wish they came with tiny hot plates, ha! We had a couple bartenders throughout our visit, both helpful with menu questions and good attitudes. One odd thing -- and it's possible I drank too much and I messed this up -- but the two bathrooms have doors that close only with a hook, and they don't seem to get fully closed. I used them both (unisex -- at least, I hope they were) and it was a little unnerving. Sadly I was so hungry I totally forgot to take photos of anything except the queso and chips. It was all very good, and a fun little place!

Yelp
Great bar choices and good tacos across the board. A few sides, 2 tacos, and a cocktail or 2 make for a great dinner and night out.

Yelp
One of my favorite taco places I've found in a while! First drove past and thought how cute the restaurant looked! Upon arrival there was limited parking, but we were seated as soon as we got to the door! We decided to sit outside at the front tables! Service was quick, super knowledgeable, and kind! We ordered tons of drinks and food! Food is served family style (tacos are served together even if multiple orders are put in)! It was a great experience and the food was amazing! I highly recommend coming hungry so you can get drinks, chips, tacos, and DONUTS! The donuts were fresh, warm, and delicious!!! We sat and played cards a while outside just bc we ordered a second round of drinks and donuts! If you get the chance ask for a coco loco or a regular margarita with a tajin rim!!! Highly recommend and will be stopping if I am back in Jupiter!

Yelp
In town for business and looking for some good Tex-Mex/Baja vibes, so I fired up the ole Yelp and found this gem! Cool little place with a great atmosphere, excellent service (thanks V) and some delicious tacos. Pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon so parking is tough but the Happy Hour specials made it worth the short walk from the Lighthouse Park parking lot. Do yourself a favor and get there!

Yelp
I love this place to eat exotic tacos and exotic drinks! Dress down or dress up! Great service every time!! It is a one size fits all kind of place! Just perfect!!

Yelp
The Earth's best Brisket Nachos. We like some things on the side so we can customize.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is always busy. For a reason, the food and drinks are fantastic. Blackened Mahi tacos , the tuna poke tostada, and empanadas are slamming. The fried doughnuts are a great way to finish the feast. Careful of the hot sauce. It straight fire. Heat!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is AMAZING There is always a line out the door, and I'm now know why! I tried their gator tacos and coconut shrimp taco, and my dining companion had chicken enchiladas. Tacos were super fresh and had such amazing and colorful additions. The flavors were astounding. The enchiladas were creamy and soft and hot and delicious. The bar was a little sticky. Place has only a few tables and if it is raining outside everyone rushes in, as it is not fully covered. It's a cute, local, easygoing place. I highly recommend it. I have taken food to go before, and it makes the trip home well, and is still tasty!
google avatar

Corey G.

Yelp
This place is great! Love the atmosphere here and the food is delicious and very affordable! They even accommodate for gluten free. I recommend the brisket nachos! I definitely will be coming back. The service is great, I got my food in like 5/10 minutes!

Yelp
We took guests here for a casual dinner and it never disappoints. Great selection of appetizers and tacos that please everyone's tastes. We had beef, pork and Brussels sprouts ... all delicious! Finished off with the mini donuts! YUM!

Yelp
4.5. I love this place. We found PapiChulos after going to a concert in RPB. I was blown away that it was casual yet the food was 'elevated'. So we had an opportunity to go the Jupiter spot (1st time) last weekend for lunch. First, cocktails are half off (we had at least 2 of them), and so good. We ordered the street corn....now it's on the happy hour menu for $3, but we think they are smaller portions than the regular. Still they are fantastic. We then ordered the nachos that are just loaded. 2nd time we had these, and just as good. I then ordered the breakfast burrito w chorizo...and while it was good, i would probably order tacos next time if we did a repeat meal like this. The spot is super cool. The doors were fully open and we sat inside. Ton of people sitting outside which next time we go weather permitting I would love to do. Thinking about the next time I can go!

Yelp
The best guacamole, tacos, and margaritas around the area! Absolutely delicious food with friendly professional members who work there.

Yelp
Service: Hit or miss. I went to this location twice during my stay in FL. First time coming in, the service was attentive. Second time coming in, we waited about 20 mins since sitting down before even being greeted. Food: Ground Beef Queso - Salty and Delicous! Great for the table. Birria Taco - Crispy and saucy! Would recommend getting this one again! Puerco Taco - Slight tang. The veg was refreshing and brightened the bite. Tuna Poke Tostada - Overly Soy. The sweet soy was a bit overwhelming for each bite. I ended up using some of the table tortilla chips to get a better balance in each bite. Breakfast Taco - A lot of egg. Overall - great place to go for something simple. I would go back for the Birria Items and Happy hour has VERY GOOD DEALS! On to my next adventure...
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent & attentive service plus excellent food made this a worthwhile trip. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Papi Chulo, yes this is! you're in the mood for some amazing tacos, you simply must try out this little gem of a taco joint! From the moment you walk in, the place reels you in with its gorgeous decor and you know you're in for a treat. The menu is chock full of mouth-watering options, on Sunday they also have an awesome brunch and happy hour! From classic carnitas to more adventurous choices like coconut shrimp tacos and vegetarian options. And let me tell you, they do not skimp on the toppings here! Every taco is piled high with fresh veggies, zesty sauces, and perfectly cooked meats. I could barely fit all the goodness into one bite! But it's not just the food that makes this place so great - the atmosphere is fun and lively, with friendly staff, and the prices are totally reasonable, so you can indulge in as many tacos as your heart desires without breaking the bank. We started with the chips, guacamole, salsa and queso, it also had a salsa verde. ( more chips would be good, since you have so many sauces and dips you need more chips.... But oh well). We each had one coconut shrimp and one car e asada taco, they were mouth watering! I also ordered an iced coffee (absolutely fabulous) and a coke! I would definitely recommend this place and enjoy coming back.

Yelp
This was my first visit to PapiChulo. I stopped by for Happy Hour, and had a fantastic time! We ordered several snacks - Yuca Fries, Chips & Queso, & Street Corn. Everything was delicious. I loved that the Yuca Fries came with multiple dipping sauces. I'd definitely try more menu items next time. My friend had 2 different margaritas, and said both were great. I'm a beer drinker and was happy with the options. I loved the outdoor vibe. Cute atmosphere. Relaxing. Fun crowd and nice staff. Recommended, and I'll be going again during my next visit to the area.

Yelp
For the last few years, we've driven by PapiChulos but have not stopped by - until this year! Of course we showed up on a Tuesday (taco Tuesday here we come!) for lunch. We ordered margaritas, queso and guacamole for the table - yum! I opted for two tacos - a carne asada and a birria - loved the flavors that each had. We finished our meal off by sharing the Mexican Donuts - these were wonderfully fried and rolled in cinnamon and sugar. The location is an absolute vibe - bright and airy - and the staff were very friendly.

Yelp
Great tacos and drinks. Great service. Outdoor seating is relaxing. Try the alligator tacos. Great times.

Yelp
Food was good but not truly Mexican. Service was good Location was nice Clean and nice .

Yelp
Oh Papi! You know how I love you! I have honestly postponed my review because I am not very good at sharing and since Papi is a weekly stop for us, I would prefer not to wait! But guys, honestly, you will never find a place with the quality, the prices, the yumminess, the friendliness and all around vibe of Papi, ANYWHERE. Their daily happy hour (11-6) has their "house" marg called the Papirita simply made with lime juice, agave and epsilon, at a whopping $5.50 (along with 50% off the entire bar). Happy hour also has many other options including $3 items, our favs are the puerco and pollo tacos, the street corn and the yuca fries, along with $6 amazingly delicious queso or if you have a sweet tooth.... The Mexican donuts!!! They have many other great full price menu items, which include a few more of our favs, the gator taco and the birria taco! AND SO MUCH MORE! I'm not sure why you're still reading... start driving!

Yelp
Best taco spot in Jupiter!! Fun for whole family and dog friendly. 10/10 would recommend
google avatar

Maddie V.

Yelp
PapoChulo has an excellent happy hour daily, 11am-6pm with 50% off beer, cocktails, wine. They also have happy hour food including tacos, yucca fries, street corn, chips, etc. With the rising costs of everything right now, it's nice to have a place to go where you can get really good quality food and drinks for a reasonable price. The yucca fries and street corn are fantastic. I also really enjoyed the puerco tacos. They are super moist and juicy with a subtle spice. The barbacoa tacos were okay. Just kinda dry and a bit bland. My barbacoa taco expectations are also really high and they just didn't meet the mark. They always bring a carafe of water out so you can self serve refills. The outdoor seating is really nice as well. Cute trendy decor like the wallpapered bathroom and metal llama piñata outside.
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Highly recommend. I recieved great service, drinks, and food! With the current florida heat I sat inside, but the outside patio had fans. If you are on a budget go for happy hour.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Since they love deleting google reviews, here's my experience: A group of us was recommended to eat here by a local. There was a misunderstanding about our order when the food runner brought it out. The waitress came over and the misunderstanding was promptly solved. However as the food runner came back out, he accused us of calling our waitress a b****. The waitress came over and apologized saying she never accused us of calling her any names. That accusation is so deeply offensive and insensitive. Completely left field and unprofessional. Relayed this interaction to the local and they said super disappointing and gave us a list of other restaurants to try out. Hopefully the city of Jupiter has better restaurant service out there. This review was me being polite so if deleting my google review was because i hurt your feelings feel free to reach out and i can for sure tell you what i really think :)
google avatar

Maria B.

Yelp
The queso here is very good. The servers are super friendly and pleasant. Their menu has some questionable names on it for their food options. I've been 2 times, both for the queso. Next time I'll remember to follow my gut and only have the queso. The tacos are only ok, although generous portions. I did have a donut for dessert and those are very good. I'd order that again.

Grace S.

Yelp
I'm obsessed. Papi Hour all the time and their food is all amazing. Love the Yucca fries and crema that comes with. Honestly haven't had a taco I didn't like. Vibes are great super cute spot very beach.
google avatar

Amanda A.

Yelp
Still the highlight of my trips to Florida! I still come a few times a year from up north - best chicken quesadilla I've ever had. Kind staff, always busy, but always quick and delicious. Made the mistake of ordering To-Go this time around (photos are from a previous dine-in visit), and it was a bit more expensive, but oh well - next time!
google avatar

Carina C.

Yelp
This place was bustling, even on a rainy day! The tacos and yuca fries were delicious. They were able to accommodate me as a vegan. They've got almost like a garage door that opens out onto a patio that they had open. I love sitting outside, so it was awesome. I will definitely be back again and again.
google avatar

Vicki L.

Yelp
Great tacos! Taco Tuesday is worth the wait with delicious tacos and 1/2 price drinks.
google avatar

Irene T.

Yelp
We love PapiChulo Tacos! We were in town visiting family over the holidays and we came for Papi Hour tacos and Papiritas (aka margaritas) 3 times. The patio gets the most beautiful light in the afternoon and I enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Perfect post-beach meal or snack! It gets busy so you may need to wait for 10 minutes or so to get a table but there is some seating to relax and you can get a drink from the bar to enjoy while you wait. My favorites from the "Papi Hour" menu were the quesadilla, fried yuca, chicken tacos, Al pastor tacos and barbacoa tacos. The seasoning and portions are perfect. 1 taco for a snack, 2 tacos and shared guacamole and chips for a light meal or 3 tacos full meal. Also you can add taco meat to the quesadilla which was delicious and very filling. Service is friendly and professional. Can't wait to go back next time we visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Loves this place. Just went back tonight after renovations. So good! Had a few different tacos at the bar. Cat was great with the drinks and service. Will be back soon.

Yelp
Love this place! Great fresh food. Great cocktails. Generous happy hour and efficient service.

Yelp
Wonderful Friendly Service from Leila. Fun Atmosphere. Dog & Child Friendly. Delicious Variety of Tacos. Tasty Chips & Salsa. Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita. Coconut Shrimp Taco. Gringo Ground Beef Taco. Birria Braised Beef Taco.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
Most definitely the best Mexican food I have had, besides texas and California, PapiChulos is doing it right from the tacos, nachos and burrritos , the Birria tacos have all the flavor you would expect! Chefs Kiss!
google avatar

Tina W.

Yelp
We love this place; easy going casual vibe...food is delicious, great quality. Skinny margarita is amazing.... fresh and delicious and the right amount of sweetness. Vanessa our server is a delight... attention, friendly, nice and great personality!!! We always recommend this great spot. And it's not over priced! Come on over and enjoy.

Anthony M.

Yelp
Great overall, I live in Miami with my wife and we came up here on the weekend and had to return the following weekend since the quesadillas were so good. I'd steer away from the Blackberry margaritas since it's annoying to drink through a straw, Nevertheless 5/5
google avatar

Krysten B.

Yelp
Went for happy hour and overall the food was pretty delicious. The Mexican donuts were served hot, however a bit on the sweet side as the donuts were caked on with sugar. Good, but could have used less sugar. The mango tango margarita was a winner with quite a bite to it and good flavor. The pineapple jalapeño margarita feel way short of expectations. The yuca fries were delicious and the orange dipping sauce was a winner. The street corn tasted like seasoned corn on the cob with breadcrumbs. It was good, but probably something I would pass on next time. Out of the three tacos we tried, if I remember correctly, the barbacoa was the best with our least favorite being the puerco which the pork shoulder was quite dry despite juices dripping from the taco. Great service and atmosphere although I would appreciate them not allowing customers vape inside the restaurant.

Yelp
Went Friday for lunch and their "happy hour" is from 11a-6p so we had the mango cocktail and a pineapple/jalepeno cocktail. They were sooooo good!! The tacos were amazing. But the star of the show was the yuca fries. So light and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. For 6 tacos, 2 sides, and 6 cocktails, 4 people ate for about $85. Great value IMO.
