The Best Creole & Cajun Restaurants In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"All of Pappadeaux’s four metro Atlanta locations stay packed for a reason (we’re talking hours-long waits). The Louisiana-style seafood restaurant is consistent, and crowd favorites like the crab spinach dip and overflowing fried catfish platters are good enough to justify the eight trips you’ll make around the Marietta parking lot to find an open space. Thankfully, we can hit the bar for a drink, then hang out under the fans on the bayou-meets-Warehouse- District-inspired courtyard until we can be seated." - nina reeder, juli horsford, demarco williams

The place is fun and festive. The service was good. The salsa was great. The beer was ice cold. I took the recommendations of the server. I had the fajitas, and did not regret it. It came with shrimp, steak, and chicken. The shrimp is bacon wrapped, and it was good. The chicken was excellent, moist and tender. The star of the show was that steak though. It absolutely crushed! I followed it up with the pecan ice cream desert, it was bland and unexciting. I should have gotten the tres leches.

Good vibes. Fast service. Fresh and delicious seafood. Did have to remind to bring us cutlery and refill drinks but overall nice place. 4 stars only because it was expensive. Two people date = $150.

Celebrated my birthday here today. They were very accommodating and cautious with my son’s shellfish allergy. If you have a party of 4 or more I recommend making reservations at least a day in advance or be prepared to wait 2 hours or more.

My mom and I visited the Pappadeaux location in Marietta on September 21st, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We sat at the bar — I ordered a frozen strawberry daiquiri–type drink (can’t recall the exact name), and my mom ordered the Swamp Thang. Both drinks were extremely syrupy and overly sweet, with little to no alcohol taste, yet each cost around $15. For food, I ordered the Rockefeller oysters and the seafood fondue dip. We both ate two oysters each and shared the fondue dip. Shortly after leaving, I started experiencing symptoms of food poisoning, including nausea, diarrhea, sweating, and a severe headache. Once I got home, the symptoms intensified, and my mom began to feel the same way not long after. The only thing we had consumed earlier that day was coffee, so it was clear the reaction came from our meal at Pappadeaux. My mom called the restaurant to inform them of what happened. The manager stated that no other customers had reported similar issues but said he would speak to corporate or suggested that we contact corporate ourselves. It’s now been several days, and we still haven’t heard back from either the manager or corporate regarding this matter. This was extremely disappointing and concerning, especially given the restaurant’s reputation. I hope Pappadeaux takes this feedback seriously and ensures better food safety and communication with customers moving forward.

We came the wait to get to our table wasn’t very long. The inside of the restaurant looked AMAZING! Service was amazing too. I got the rainbow trout and shrimp it was just too good, I believe I also had gotten a watermelon juice. I’d rate my meal a 9/10! I definitely recommend it. Amazing meal for my first time in Georgia.

The hostess Jasmine was professional and accompanied my girlfriend and I as soon as she saw us and was extremely friendly. Our waiter Tyler was phenomenal to a point of I would go back again just to re-experience his hospitality alone. Tyler gave my girlfriend and I wonderful recommendations and his timing for every part of our meal was on point. We never felt rushed and he made a busy Wednesday night dinner rush feel feel personable. Thank you so much for a tasty dinner and an outstanding evening. I will definitely be back with my girlfriend and my friends when they are in town for army drill weekends. I had Tyler’s recommendation of the Grouper and jumbo shrimp and my girlfriend had the Pappadeaux platter. We both would order these dishes again because of how tasty and big the portions were. For dessert we got the crème brûlée and the cheesecake. The cheesecake was divine and the crème brûlée tasted like how my mom makes it with a hint of peanut butter which was a nice surprise with the fresh berries accompanying it. I was also able to talk with one of the managers and he was very professional and friendly and I was able to let him know how truly wonderful our dinning experience was and how outstanding our waiter Tyler was. Thank yall so much and we can’t wait to come back!!

We had dinner here Sunday night because I wanted fried fresh oysters-hard to find in East Tennessee. We came back for lunch the next day because the oysters were so fresh and delicious. Everything we had on both visits was superb. If you are ever near Truist Park and want fresh seafood, it’s worth finding this restaurant. We hope to return soon.

Yelp
I would say the food is good. The wait can be a bit too long of a wait. Don't have other plans that is a must be on time afterwards. They are a bit pricey even when not ordering seafood. My disappointment on this past weekend visit, 2 years ago I had their cake cake which was a larger portion that I expected on this past visit. I had roughly 5 bits , not mouth full for $35.00 with filling. This is an entree. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a large 3 wheel motion. Tab at the end $77.88. Do the math not full . Left

Yelp
I always get the same thing... Mississippi Catfish Opelousas - Blackened catfish, oysters, shrimp, jumbo lump crab, lemon garlic butter sauce, dirty rice. Best thing ever. We also had grilled shrimp fettuccine.

Yelp
Pappadeaux did not disappoint. I ordered the seafood platter, and it was solid--great flavor, generous portions, and definitely something I'd order again. My wife got the salmon with dirty rice, and honestly, the dirty rice stole the show. I'd never had it before, and it was hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten. Another surprise hit? The table crackers. I know it sounds simple, but they were so good I couldn't stop loading up on them. The ambiance felt like stepping into old-style New Orleans--warm, lively, and full of character. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly. They didn't just take care of us; they also gave us great recommendations for things to do in Atlanta, which really added to the experience. Overall, this is the kind of place you walk away from already planning your next visit.

Yelp
The last time I was at a Papadeaux was in Dallas, TX. This chain chef blows it away. I've been 3 times in Marietta and forgot to write a review. I have had these delicious items: lump crab, lobster bites, roasted oysters with Parmesan cheese with spicy garlic bread, calamari, sautéed spinach and the cream spinach dip and margaritas with Patrón!! I tend to enjoy their appetizers because they are a good shareable size or there's leftovers. Each time we had incredible service. The staff here is constantly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Twice I sat at the bar and once a booth. At the bar, we could see the entire restaurant. It's a clean place and can be loud in the evening. The restaurants both looked the same. However here in Marietta it was more memorably delicious. Hence, the return 3 times thus far!!

Yelp
Conveniently located near our hotel and open late. Highly recommend trying the Gumbo and the Po Boy.

Yelp
This was such a good dinner choice. Dined on a Saturday about 1230! Surprisingly there was no wait! We were seated right away! It was a full house but the service was efficient! Our waitress was soft spoken but very nice! She had great recommendations! Our appetizers, entrees and alcoholic beverages were all so good! I hadn't been to pappadeaux in about 6 years and it was just as i remembered it- delicious! The only bad thing is that the bathrooms were nasty. Tissue on the floor, some stalls didn't have tissue at all. Hated that! But other than that, food and service were great! Will def be back when visiting GA

Yelp
When overwhelmed with a menu because everything looks and sounds so good, it's always best to ask the server what they think is best. She did not lead us wrong! We wanted fried fish and she said that the pappadeaux platter with sides would be plenty. She was right and we had leftovers. The flavor on the breading was so good! We are usually not the devil crab eaters but this one was meaty and flavorful seasoned better than your regular calabash houses. I think this was also my first time trying crawfish and it was delicious too. & that garlic bread! Wow! No skimping on the butter and herbs-the way it should always be! Looking forward to my next visit to Atlanta so that I can try more here, but I AM a creature of habit so it might be the same order the next time.

Yelp
first. food was fantastic. I only had the salmon but the other folks that order a few other things raved about theirs. the salmon was cooked perfectly, shrimp seasoned just right and rice was spot on. service was quick and friendly and for a group of 20 of us. I was impressed. the restaurant itself is huge. beautiful dining room and my gauge of how much a restaurant cares - the restrooms were clean and ready to go. a dirty restroom means a dirty kitchen.

Yelp
I usually eat at the Jimmy Carter location and I should have done so this recent visit. Alas, I visited this particular Pappadeaux and left feeling pretty disappointed. I live in MD, so I was super excited to eat at Pappadeaux (this is not a chain we have in MD despite being known for seafood). I love Pappadeaux food and eat it when I can (visits to Atlanta, and the Hobby airport in TX). I already knew what I wanted to order when I arrived which was: -A Swamp Thing -Stuffed shrimp with fries subbed out for dirty rice -A side of broccolini The Swamp Thing came out first and immediately I noticed it's level was not the same as my friend's Swamp Thing. It was considerably lower. Then it became even lower than that once I took out the pineapple! I'd taken a few sips, but ultimately decided to send it back and have another one brought to the table WITHOUT pineapple. That drink is almost $20. It needs to be full of the alcohol I am paying for, not watered down and over fruited. While all this was going on, my entree came out, the stuffed shrimp and dirty rice. Everything on the plate was amazing and I ate it all. The "broccolini" came out separately a little after my entree. I went to eat the broccolini and it was thicker than usual (like regular broccoli) and VERY hard. Like, not cooked much at all. So, I sent that back too. The waiter was a nice guy and I tried not to take my dissatisfaction out on him, but he was the one I was sending food and drink back with. Customer service was great, my entree was great...the drink and the side tho? Pass. It's Jimmy Carter from now on.

Yelp
We visited Pappadeaux the Saturday before Mother's Day with a party of five, and despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated right away. They placed us in a private room that had been converted to accommodate larger parties, which honestly made the experience feel even more special. Our server, Lauryn, mentioned she was still fairly new, and while she was unsure about one of the menu items at first, she quickly got confirmation. She was sweet and attentive throughout the meal. I wasn't super hungry, but I did get the crab and crawfish fondue which never misses. It's creamy, flavorful, and served with fresh French bread. The mix of crab, crawfish, shrimp, and mushrooms is always a hit. My table ordered a variety of dishes including the Mardi Gras pasta, the andouille and shrimp gumbo, and the halibut. One person thought they ordered the halibut extravaganza but actually received a simpler version with potatoes. At first they were disappointed, but the dish turned out to be a win because the halibut stood out more without all the extras. Lauryn apologized for the mix-up, but the plate was still a hit. The Mardi Gras pasta was rich and well-seasoned, and the shrimp cocktail--though served on a plate instead of in a glass--was still fresh and tasty. Overall, the food was great, the service was solid, and the vibe was perfect for a weekend meal with family. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Yummy. Large open space. I mean huge. We were seated quickly with no reservation. Food was great. Came out hot and was overall tasty. Big portions. Service was friendly.

Yelp
Pappadeaux Seafood ATL did not disappoint! I had the salmon topped with crab, scallops, shrimp and mashed potatoes it was absolutely delightful, cooked to perfection and the portion was solid. Our server Glen (pretty sure that was his name) was amazing. He was efficient, attentive, and handled four to five large parties, including ours, like a pro. The food and service were both on point. Just be ready to wait even if you have a reservation, it is worth it. It was loud with people but not overwhelming.

Fran M.

Yelp
Superbly delicious. Our sweet attentive server Misha provided great commentary on the choices. Grilled trout with the best crab jasmine rice and grilled salmon n shrimp with broccolini as my husband would say " made your tongue do a holy dance " Didn't have space left for dessert Beautiful restaurant. Nice music but lots of conversation

Yelp
Had the pleasure of joining old and new friends at Pappadeaux's Seafood Kitchen this evening and both food and service exceeded expectations! Prompt, friendly, and attentive service complemented a wonderful dining experience. Started off with shrimp gumbo with lots of shrimp and just the right kick. The salad was a Greek Salad with feta cheese and Greek dressing and quite large. For the 3 entrees we had the salmon and shrimp platter with a perfectly executed medium cooked salmon retaining a flavorful moist texture served with cream spinach. The 10 oz filet was served medium with brocolini and mashed potatoes, as good as most steakhouse filets we've tried. Then my favorite fried seafood platter with 2 large catfish filets, crab stuffed shrimp, stuffed crab, and fried shrimp and oysters served on a pile of crispy fries...delightful. Hush puppies would have knocked this one over the top! Dessert included wonderfully presented creme brulee with fresh berries and whipped cream. Key lime pie (not pictured) was quite good with a crispy shell also served with berries and whipped cream. It was quite good even though I am not a big fan of key lime pie. If you haven't been to this Windy Hill location, it is a must try. We typically go to the Alpharetta location, but this was quite the treat! The atmosphere is a nice but relaxed New Orleans feel with pleasurable dining music.

Yelp
Best mozzarella sticks EVER. Great service. Not too much for the vegetarian, though. The bathrooms are always a little messy. Loud dining room but the food is great.

Yelp
Yummy yummy! Everything was top notch besides the banana pudding... it was just pudding mix. Super disappointed. Otherwise, DELICIOUS meal, drinks, and great service! I can't wait to return!

Yelp
When I found out I was going to Georgia, I knew I'd be stopping at a Papadeaux location for sure! This location did not disappoint. My husband and I shared a bowl of Gumbo which was amazing and full of flavor. I ordered their Crawfish Salad and he had Marci Gras Pasta. Both dishes were YUMMY! Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. The place was festive and packed. Loved to see it. Beautiful location.

Yelp
I first tried this restaurant in Houston many years ago and I looked forward to trying it again in ATL Metro. I made a reservation for myself and a friend and was seated promptly. When my friend arrived, she provided my name for the reservation and was told there was not one. She was sat separately from me in the back of the dining room. After we had each placed drink orders at our respective tables, my friend texted and described where she was seated. I went and found her and she joined me. We ordered apps, salads and entrees. We were told salads would come out first but they never came. When we asked about them after the entrees arrived, the server said she "forgot". She also took forever to bring out final bill. Food was good. Reached out but have yet to hear back from the owner who replied to this review.

Yelp
I would recommend the Catfish Waitress service - great Wait time - made reservations but had to wait for my full party to come and then I waited about 10-15mins Food - catfish and pasta shrimp Ambiance- nice spot to grab a quick lunch or have dinner with your significant other or coworker anybody in general. Overall I would come back for the Catfish it was very season something's just two season and that's one of them

Yelp
Crawfish platter with dirty rice is phenomenal! Service was very attentive! My go to dish every time!!

Yelp
My family and I visited and it was super busy which is usually a good sign. We chose to sit at the bar since the wait for a table that we could all sit together at was a 2 hour wait. We ordered drinks and appetizers with the amazing bartenders. They were all very helpful and attentive. I got the grouper which was topped with crab meat and shrimp and had a lemon butter sauce on it. It was delicious and fresh! The restaurant was dimly lit which definitely gave romantic vibes. I ate my food for dinner and woke up the next day and ate my leftovers for lunch. I was so sick after! I will spare you the details. If the food didn't make me sick I would have given it 5 stars for sure!

Yelp
As always walking inside you are greeted as if they want you're business. Not as a chore. We had a nice inside table our server was adequate her personality was blend in my opinion. However the FOOD was full of flavor and delicious. We were celebrating my birthday so receiving a free dessert was also a nice perk. Soft music, and low light providing a smooth atmosphere for excellent dinner and conversation.
google avatar

Yelp
This used to be my go to spot but it's really declining. I tried to order the oysters they were out, along with the crab fingers and bisque. A family member ordered the gumbo which was watery. We went to celebrate a graduation so it was kind of packed the tables were all bunched together, and the lighting was dim. Our server was very nice and on his job as we had 2 tables. When my food came the sides were both cold and even when they brought out the new one it was still cold. I will say the trout was good though.

Yelp
I think everyone loves this place. It's always packed. The food and service is always great. There is a lot of seating inside, at the bar, and outside. My cousin recently took me here for a birthday outing. We had an incredible time. I enjoyed the company and convos. Be sure to make a reservations, to refrain from waiting longer.

Yelp
The place is a beautiful peaceful restaurant. Very well decorated . We had calamari well seasoned and crispy. Garlic bread very good . I had the Fried catfish with spicy shrimp etoufee and dirty rice . So much food for lunch. The peach cocktail with rum was wonderful I had 2 of those and they had peach gummies in it. The waiter was so charming. The portions were very large and cheap for lunch. 4 people for 200 dollars and my sister had pasta and 3 cocktails the other 2 had fried fish lunches . They were good.
google avatar

Yelp
Me and mommy did a early lunch date. We arrived a little after they opened. The greetings where pleasant as always and we where seated immediately. We received top notch service from our waitress(I forgot her name) and this is why you should do reviews right after while it's all fresh...smh. Mom and I shared oysters and alligator bites and we each had a seafood salad. Everything was great as always. I've not ever been disappointed at this location.
google avatar

Yelp
Top tier food in the ATL area. I can't help but stop by when I'm in town. As a frequent traveler, this is one of the best spots to stop at if you are ever visiting the area. Definitely place a reservation because this place is usually on and popping. Great vibes and even better food, would love to come back and try some new options.

Yelp
Food was amazing!!! 10/10 across the board!!!! Nothing tasted frozen or undercooked. Service was quick & I didn't feel rushed to order.

Yelp
My mom had a craving for their bread pudding so we came here to make it a reality. Unfortunately they currently aren't selling the bread pudding so we opted for a nice meal instead. We started off with the Shrimp and Crawfish Fondeaux. We had no clue how massive this dish would be. The bread it came with was warm and buttery which we enjoyed. For my entree I got the Mardi Gras pasta with Alexander sauce instead of the red sauce it automatically comes with. My mom got the shrimp and grits. We both enjoyed our entrees thoroughly. We finished our meal off with the Sweet Potato Pie. It came with this wonderful rum sauce and soft vanilla ice cream. I loved the ambiance of this place. This was my first time coming to this location and it felt like I got transported to the bayou. It was a great feeling. Our server for the evening was Christine. This young lady took great care of us. If you find yourself here in the near future, please take a seat in her section. You won't regret it. My mom and I will be munching on our leftovers for several days to come while dreaming of our grand return. Thank you for a wonderful experience, great service, and delectable food.

Yelp
I received exactly what I came for today! excellent service and this time they had the crab fingers . It is very seldom to come to Papadeaux's and not have to wait a long time for a seat but today after church, my husband and I were able to be seated within 15 minutes. Shortly after being seated, we were greeted by a waiter who promptly took our drink, orders, and appetizers . I am always pleased with the service here and they did not disappoint today. The number one item that is not on the menu are the crab fingers because sometimes they don't have them. But if you're coming this weekend, they are in although still not listed on the menu. The fried shrimp were excellent, and I even splurged a little and ordered two appetizers(garlic bread, and crab/spinach dip) How do you get seafood to taste this fresh inland in Georgia? I don't know how they do it, but they did and it was worth the unexpected expense to dine in for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is loud, chatty, but all signs of everyone having a good time and enjoying their meal. Unlike other places that usually have music too loud to be able to hear yourself think, their music is subtle, and in the background, allowing you the opportunity to have a great conversation around good food. you will find yourself waiting at the end to receive your to go box and check however, be patient because there are a lot of people in the servers are doing their best. They're very pleasant and well trained.

Yelp
Pappadeaux is always a good choice no matter where you are. I just wished they remained open past 9:00pm. However I always get the Rasta pasta, side of gumbo, a good Caesar salad, and a strong drink (cognac of course). S/O to their Caesar salad. It was refreshing . One of the best salads I ever had. Our customer service was hospital and timely fashion. The ambiance was exactly what I expected per usual; diverse and busy and everybody eating and drinking good . Pappadeaux is a southern staple that never gets old .
google avatar

Sade C.

Yelp
Not sure if it was just because it was Sunday but the service was so slow and they kept giving me the wrong order. When I actually got my food it was hot and delicious. I ordered blackened catfish w/ red beans and rice and the crab and spinach dip.
google avatar

Nai S.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I had the shrimp poboy and shrimp gumbo combo. It was enough to take home and tasted better the next morning. Service was fun. The waiter was fun, respectful and professional. A good balance. Ambiance was surprisingly quaint. It is good for groups and solo diners.
google avatar

Yelp
My first stop when I get to Atlanta is Papadeaux!!!! Service is always great and the food never disappoints. My favorite is the red beans and rice. The pasta dish is a hit too! Can't go wrong with anything

Yelp
I'm utterly obsessed with this place and will forever eat here any time I'm in the area! I will also willingly make the hour + trek when the craving hits!

Yelp
The Salmon was cooked perfectly. The scallops were top of the line as well. Was a really good meal. Service was good. The music was extremely loud. Too loud.

Yelp
I've tried a lot of seafood spots in Atlanta, and Pappadeaux's seafood salad is by far one of the best. Real lumps of crab meat, shrimp, avocado, egg, and bacon all come together to create a whole vibe -- leaving your taste buds slow dancing to a flavorful melody.
google avatar

Markus G.

Yelp
We love Pappadeaux! We love, Pappadeaux! We love Pappadeaux's! I'm always in awe when I go to Pappadeaux's because no matter what it is that I try or even revisiting a meal that I have had previously it is always well cooked to perfection. The food is amazing here. You must get the lump crab and spinach dip. It is absolutely amazing and I will get it every single time that I come to Pappadeaux's. We have a little bit of weight, however it was OK as they were quite busy and we could tell they were a little understaffed. It didn't stop them from giving us the greatest service that they could when they finally sat us down and for that we really appreciate them. The great thing about Pappadeaux's that is always dimly lit so you're able to have that intimate conversation with somebody without feeling a bit awkward. If you haven't been to Pappadeaux's, I strongly suggest that you go and exploit your taste pallet while you're there because the food is absolutely amazing .
google avatar

Emilly V.

Yelp
Had dinner and a really enjoyed the experience! The seafood was super fresh and flavorful -- we had the blackened catfish and shrimp & grits, both were delicious. The portions are generous and the Cajun-style atmosphere makes everything feel fun and festive.

Yelp
I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and this was by far the best experience I've had in a long time!! The food today was amazing but I have to give the credit of my amazing visit today to Jarrod at the bar!!! He was so helpful and such a vibe. I think I kept a smile on my face the entire time!! KEEP HIM!!

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed dinner here tonight! At 6:00pm, we were able to make reservations for 6:30pm on Open Table. To our surprise we arrived shortly before the crowd. Our food came out in a matter of 15 mins, fresh and hot! I was also pleased to see how many graduates were celebrating tonight- full house but the service did not lack!

Yelp
Meal was fantastic! Fresh seafood with very little wait time. I can tell this place get crowded but not this time. The waitress were very mannerable and seemed to know the menu. little upscale but not breaking the pocket, pretty much come as you are not jacket required

Yelp
Stopped in. Famished. To the bar. It was FREEZING in there but I guess a regular saw me looking cold and said the end of the bar that way is warmer. Thanks to the regla. Bartender was prompt and understood the assignment. Good. Food. Quickly. I ordered the red snapper with lump crab meat, spinach and added a loaded baked potato. Ok so transparent goofball moment. My first bite of my potato was a fork full of butter. But yeah, ok. It's a lil dark in there which is great if you're in a date or just had to spit out a mouthful of butter. The food was DELICIOUS. Real question, do restaurants not offer bread and EVO anymore?? Am I telling my age and ethnicity here?? I don't care where what and where, I want BREAD and oil while waiting for my meal. What's the bread plate for???? Anywho- I completely enjoyed my din din. Pappadeux as per usual, has never dissapointed to date. Cheers to consistent excellence!!

Yelp
It's been over eight years since I last visited Pappadeaux, but this year I decided it was one of the restaurants I wanted to go to for my birthday. Even better, I got to bring my sister--actually, she treated me for my birthday! If you live in Marietta, you know there isn't a day when this place isn't packed. I mean, never, not even on a Monday (which happened to be a holiday). Despite the busyness, there was plenty of seating, and my sister and I chose a booth. We had a great server named Jevonte--shout out to him for being efficient, informative, and fast. Now, I know you want to hear about the food, so let's get into it. For an appetizer, my sister and I went with the crab and spinach dip. Not going to lie, that dish alone was filling, but we were just getting started. We each ordered a salad: I chose the classic Caesar salad, and my sister opted for the house salad. Honestly, those could have been meals by themselves, but we weren't done yet. For my entrée, I had the fried shrimp platter with red beans and rice, while my sister went for the Jumbo Shrimp Brochette. I loved my food--the shrimp was perfectly cooked with a nice crunch, and the red beans and rice were some of the best I've had, fresh and delicious. Although I'm not a fan of tartar sauce, both the tartar and cocktail sauces were amazing. My sister enjoyed her meal as well, although she mentioned the bacon-wrapped shrimp was a bit salty, but the dirty rice she had as a side was excellent. Overall, I won't let so much time pass before visiting again!

Yelp
My wife & I as well as our friends have been coming to Pappadeaux's in the Atlanta area for at least the past 20+ years. Each experience has always been very nice. I remember when Pappadeaux's had oyster specials in February for $5 & 7.95 a dozen back in the early 2000's & early 2010's. Those days are long past. Anyway, my wife & I went to the Marietta location and had a nice server by the name of Justin who provided very friendly & timely service. We started out with an Old Fashion with Buffalo Trace & a Creature Comfort draft beer. Both were cold and the Old Fashion per my wife was excellent! We then had a dozen oysters which were served on a tray covered with ice and the oysters nicely displayed with cocktail sauce & 2 varieties of mignonette sauces. For our entrees we each had the Mixed Seafood Grill which is served on a bed or dirty rice. The seafood provided were scallops, shrimp & fish along with grilled peppers, mushrooms & onions. All was good but the scallops were slightly overcooked. The restaurant is always busy which is a good thing and the ambience is comfortable with the seafood type vibe. I would actually rate a little above 4 stars based on our visit yesterday! Always good and always fun!

Yelp
First time visiting this location. Our reservation was at 8:30pm and we arrived at 8:15. We did not receive our food until 9:26pm. The restaurant wasn't busy at this time, but maybe there were not enough cooks to get the food out in a timely fashion. Our waitress Tishema was EVERYTHING!! She was always present and checked on us. She apologized for the food coming out later than expected and she was just nice overall. Thea the manager came over and also apologized to us for the inconvenience and she made sure our bill was taken care of and gave us gift cards. She did not have to do that for us, but she did and she was very sweet while we were explaining our issues. In the time where customer service lacks, their customer was excellent!! Because Tishema took great care of us, we made sure she was well taken of! The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was ok, definitely could have been seasoned a little more, but overall an ok experience turned into a great experience due to the customer service.

Yelp
Visiting Pappadeaux is always a must stop before leaving town when visiting Atl. This visit I got to try some new items on the menu and as always they did not disappoint. Me and my friend tried the passion fruit lemon drop it was delicious. We started with the crab dip as usual. For entrees we tried the Atlantic Halibut Piccata and Crispy Salmon & Jumbo Crab. Both new dishes were very tasty. I think I liked the crispy salmon slightly better but both were very tasty. I think I'd like to try the Naked Halibut with the scampi sauce next time. I wish I could remember our servers name but he was amazing. Suggested which new items on the menu were some of his favs and they did not disappoint. He definitely steered us in the right direction. He was very friendly and attentive. For the first time I actually tried dessert and got the turtle fudge brownie. It was good but definitely on the rich side but the vanilla ice cream added a nice balance. The restaurant was clean and not overly crowded but a good amount of guests during lunch time and during a busy graduation season. Yet another successful dining experience at Pappadeaux I'm going to dine here every chance I get when in town.
