This was my first time here in Texas. While waiting for my flight back to Philly, I decided to grab a bite to eat. The menu had so many, what sounded like good selections that I couldn't order just one thing. I ended up ordering several items from the menu. The Gator bites were fried just right. They weren't under nor over, with just the right amount of seasoning. The spicy sauce I had on the side, was also delicious. The shrimp and catfish combination was excellent and as you can tell, the portion is huge. Definitely enough to share, but as you can tell, I'm eating alone 😂. My server Arlen, who by the way was excellent. She was attentive, polite and was prompt with refills on my Arnold Palmers 😂. She also recommended the Texas Red Fish, that came witht dirty rice, shrimp and crab meat. All that I am going to say is..... taste and see 🙌🏾🙌🏾. It is amazing 👏🏾 🤩 😋. The atmosphere here is awesome. Here we are the end on November and my favorite Christmas 🎄 music is playing. Just good vibes. The football games are on the big screen. The prices in my opinion are fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend eating here, and if ever I have a layover in DFW, I will definitely return to Pappadeaux.

Pappadeaux’s at DFW is always a must visit when passing through. I got the crawfish platter today, which is half fried crawfish and half crawfish étouffée. It was an enormous serving and delicious as always. My server Allen was always checking in to make sure I was having the best dining experience. The staff at this location is always gracious and even seated me once at closing time. The atmosphere is top notch too and the prices are reasonable compared to the overpriced fast food restaurants in the airport.

Stopped at Pappadeaux at the Dallas airport while waiting on a layover. For an airport location, they had plenty of room to sit, and had a truly beautiful interior with great lighting. The food was absolutely delicious. Great portion sizes especially for an airport, and pretty good prices too. We ordered the shrimp and crawfish fondue which was very creamy and had a great combination of flavors that did not overpower each other. They aren't playin around!

Google
Decent variety of airport-priced food. Salads had minimal dressing, but the burger was great. We waited about 10 minutes after we sat down before we retrieved our own menus. I assumed that since this restaurant is behind security, the staff would be more proactive in case people needed to catch flights. The staff was friendly and once they found us. The atmosphere was nice and fairly relaxed.

Stopped by this spot at the Dallas airport before catching my flight. It was very busy but the food and drinks came fast. My girlfriend was given a cocktail with a very bad cracked glass which she noticed halfway into her drink SMH. Food was really salty but flavorful.

Google
This restaurant hasn't disappointed me yet, doesn't even feel like a restaurant inside am airport. I Highly recommend coming down here and getting some of the gator bites and enjoying the New Orleans-esq atmosphere and music

Six of us were flying home from Vancouver the Thursday before Labor Day wkd after a 3 week vacation. Our connecting flight from DFW kept getting postponed. We ended up being stuck in Dallas for 4 days. Eating at Pappadeaux was the only thing that lifted our spirits. The atmosphere was wonderful both inside and out. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and super efficient. The food was delicious!

Google
This is my go-to when wanting a fun, tasty adult beverage/ cocktail and some delicious, high-quality seafood to pair it with. Jan. 2025 I wanted to try something different from the red snapper that I had last visit and my regular opelousas dish. Thankz to waiter Ricardo's recommendation last visit. I ended up ordering the salmon alexander as he suggested. It was delicious but I'm a veggie person so I would had probably ask if I could substitute the dirty rice for some sautéed spinach, or broccoli or even some grilled asparagus or honey/ pistachio fresh baby carrots which they have as an available optional side seperately priced. Food here is so delicious but keep in mind it's not gentle to the wallet. But sometimes you jus got to. Update! April 2025 most recent visit after finishing last flt. on "go home day." I ordered the Pappadeaux house salad as my starter and of course my regular entrée Mississippi Catfish Opelousas and replaced the dirty rice for sautéed spinach to stay low carb Keto friendly for a lil' upcharge. So worth it 😊 Update July 31, 2025 after some talking w/ my awesome waitress Karen T. she convinced me to step out of my comfort zone of my usual order of the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. After some of her other recommendations it was between the rainbow trout or the redfish for me. I chose the trout and swapped the green beans for sautéed spinach this time, but will definitely look forward to trying the Texas Redfish entrée my next visit. After such a beautiful meal I was craving something sweet so another recommendation she made was the chocolate brownie ala'mode. I was presented w/ a very generous slice that was accompanied w/ a couple fresh raspberries that has just the right amount of tartness to beakdown all the sweetness going on from the rich chocolate brownie to the chocolate and caramel drizzled on the the scoop of vanilla ice cream. It too was absolutely delicious and very decadent.

Yelp
This can't be in an airport! This should be in The French Quarter. It even looks and smells like the real thing. Exceptional food and service. Great strong drinks You won't be sorry

Yelp
I stopped into Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in Terminal A for dinner before my flight, and it turned out to be a great dining experience. The ambience was nice for an airport restaurant, and the service was great from the moment I walked in. As someone with celiac disease, eating out can often be stressful, but the staff here took my dietary restrictions incredibly seriously. The hostess immediately provided a gluten-free menu, though limited (minus one star), it was helpful, and went a step further by letting me know that the manager would be over shortly to review my options with me. The manager was thorough, attentive, and reassuring, walking me through the safest choices and discussing how they handle cross-contamination in the kitchen. After talking things through, I decided on the grilled salmon chopped salad. The portion was generous, the ingredients fresh, and the flavor absolutely delicious. Paired with a Swamp Thing, which was equally amazing, it ended up being an airport meal to remember. It was so good that I actually forgot to take my usual food photos. Just trust me on this one! Most importantly, I didn't get sick, which speaks volumes about their gluten-free handling and attention to detail. If this salad was that good, I can only imagine how delicious the full menu must be. For anyone with dietary restrictions, Pappadeaux in Terminal A is worth the stop!

Yelp
Stopped by Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen (located in terminal A near gate 25) as I arrived to the airport with some time to spare before my flight. When I completed a search of all the restaurants in the airport, pappadeaux specially in terminal A was rated the highest on Yelp. Seeing this rating I definitely wanted to give this restaurant a try. The entrance can be a little confusing as you'll be looking for an escalator to take you downstairs to the restaurant. Once you take the escalator downstairs you'll check in with the host to be seated. I sat in the booths off to the right by the kitchen, which all had plugs underneath the table (in case you need to have a working lunch). The restaurant is very nice and feels like you are in a restaurant in New Orleans. When the server arrived I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Orecchiette Pasta which came with shrimp, scallops, lump crab, pasta, asparagus, and a creamy parmesan vodka sauce. Btw there is a piece of garlic bread on the side just in case you are thinking about ordering the garlic bread appetizer. The pasta was excellent, had plenty of seafood, and the sauce made everything taste better. For dessert I ordered the key lime pie which came with graham cracker pecan crust. The pie was more on the sour side but I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend stopping by pappadeaux if you are looking for a good meal before your flight @ DFW.

Yelp
I came here because my flight was delayed, and I would definitely have had a better experience if I had sat at a booth instead of the bar. I was grateful for the bartender, though, since he let me use the charger behind the bar for my phone. The bar was just so squished, and they packed it with chairs. I was sitting 1 inch away from people on both sides. I got the Crab & Spinach Dip, Atlantic Salmon Alexander, and Pecan Pie. Crab & Spinach Dip - Pretty good but I just wish that it had more crab, especially for the price I paid. The garlic bread was crunchy and flavorful, but a bit too oily paired with the oily dip. Atlantic Salmon Alexander - Honestly, nothing special. The crawfish was pretty overdone, but the shrimp on the side was pretty good. The rice was bland and hard but the salmon was great. The sauce was nothing special. Pecan Pie - Honestly, so good! I forgot how much I like pecan pie, but this was the perfect end to the meal. The pie wasn't too sweet, honestly I could have probably eaten another entire slice LOL. Overall, decent experience, especially for the airport. Next time, I'm definitely sitting at a table!

Yelp
An absolute joy! The ambiance alone was a getaway from the chaos of the airport. My server, Kynnedy, was a top tier employee. I watched her service my section herself with ease. I asked for clarity on menu items and she was well versed on the offerings and recommended a substitute side for my entree that was the ultimate pairing. Please give a huge THANK YOU to Kynnedy and the kitchen staff on such an excellent experience and meal!

Yelp
This location of Pappadeaux in the Dallas/FW airport is amazing. You take an escalator downstairs away from the gates, so you don't feel like you're in the airport. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. We started with the calamari appetizer, lightly breaded and crispy. I had the shrimp and scallop orechetti, so creamy & delicious. My bff had the trout fillet w/crab, omg. Hubby had a shrimp/crawfish po' boy, loaded and my other bff had the bacon cheeseburger which he described as like a smash burger. We shared a bottle of California Pinot Noir, an amazing meal, even if we were in an airport!
google avatar

Yelp
Love Pappadeaux and this location didn't disappoint. Keairra was wonderful at the bar. After going down the escalator, the restaurant comes into view and it's got that charm all Pappadeauxs have. Big bar area with plenty of seating and Keairra specifically asks for a name to address you throughout the meal. Got the red fish with spinach vs dirty rice and y'all, if I could lick the plate I would have. It was delicious! Glass of wine paired nicely and almost missed my flight I was enjoying so much! Will keep on my short list when at DFW and have an hour or two to fill before my next flight.

Yelp
Pappadeaux in the airport was still fire...I haven't had it in a while years far as airport so I see they redesigned it as well looks nice and classy inside as it always is! Food was still phenomenal and delicious as always the calamari was fire crispy and tasty and the Cajun chicken tenders and fried shrimp was fire!!!
google avatar

Simon K.

Yelp
Excellent New Orleans Cajun food! The Crawfish Etouffee plus sausage, sub dirty rice was awesome! Their special limited time Guava Banana Mai Tai was amazing addictive! They also have Blue Moon beer in bottles. You can enter via a hidden elevator around Gate 25 or via the main escalators around Gate 24. There seems to always be space at the bar counter. And the bartender can plug in your chargers behind the bar, to charge your phone and stuff. Food comes out quickly. Staff are quick and courteous.

Ursula D.

Yelp
2.5 Stars! I stopped by Pappadeaux at DFW, near Gate 24, hoping for a good meal. I'll give them credit for the speed of service - my food arrived very quickly. Unfortunately, the quality was severely lacking. The gumbo was disappointingly watery, and the fried calamari was both overcooked and definitely not worth the price.($24). Based on this visit, it'll be a long time before I consider dining at any Pappadeaux again.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Add Chilean Seabass to the permanent menu! Melt in your mouth Yum!! I had long layovers both coming and going so I hit them twice. The other time I had the Alaska Salmon Alexander. You can't go wrong which is why I hit Pappadeaux's anytime I can in the DFW Airport. You'll forget you're even in the airport.
google avatar

Jim J.

Yelp
Great food, okay service but idiotic prices. A Greek salad with no protein is $31???? Even as good as this is, that is simply too much. I had the shrimp embrochet with dirty rice. Is was very good but six shrimp and a cup of rice is not worth $34. My wife he'd the crawfish-shrimp fondue which was also good but price was ridiculous. They seated us in a location where we could not see the TV's or the departure boards. Overall food is excellent but $94 for what I've just described is insane.
google avatar

Zach T.

Yelp
Food came out quickly. The server was extremely attentive. Brought water quickly and explained meals. She also asked if I was on a time frame to fly. The gator bites were ok. The string potatoes were just garnish. The Caesar was delicious and perfectly dressed. Old fashioned was great. I was impressed with the look and feel of the main restaurant. It was quiet but not ,"I can't bring my kids quiet. " It was a little pricey but it's kind of expected at an airport.

Yelp
I needed to grab some food during my long layover in Dallas, TX. How bout dem cowboys!!! So I decided to try out @pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in the Dallas Fort Worth airport. This would be my first time trying food at this restaurant. I decided to try crawfish étouffée for the first time. I must say I was impressed especially since I'm eating this dish in TX, and not Louisiana. I know, I know airport food, so there can't be any high expectations, right? I was very surprised. The food was very well seasoned and tasty. The service was top notch as well!!! Would I try it again? Yep!!! #foodie #food #chilebougie #chilebougieeats #foodreview #chilebougietravels #foodiegram #drinks #cocktails #chiamakalkalu #blackfoodie #foodcritic #texasfood #texasfoodie #mdfoodie #dcfoodie #blackgirltravel #Louisiana #Louisianafood #pappadeaux #crawfish #crawfishetouffee

Yelp
The best restaurant in DFW bar none. Upscale feel and high quality food at very reasonable price. Service is always on point. Vibe is elegant yet relaxed and charming. Has an old fashioned feeling where time just stops. Great place to unwind while waiting for your next destination. My go to items: - crawfish etouffee - gumbo - shrimp & scallops pasta dish - key lime pie Can't go wrong - highly recommended if you have the chance this is a MUST TRY.

Yelp
Quality: 5 Quantity: 5 Affordability: 5 Customer Service: 5 Location: 5 We decided to grab some dinner at this Pappadeaux Seafood restaurant, which was conveniently located terminal A at the Dallas international Airport. As expected this restaurant is a very popular place for people. We had to only wait a few minutes before they were able to get us seated. The menu offers many options for everyone, and the portions are very plentiful. We decided to order two entrées as we were traveling all day long. Everything we ordered came out fast and tasted great. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive Overall experience was excellent and I'm sure that we would return for another visit.

Yelp
I have been dreaming about Pappadeaux for at least a few years since my last visit to the one in Phoenix years ago, and I finally got to scratch that itch by flying American Airlines and having a 3 hour layover at DFW. Pappadeaux is in Terminal A along with other great restaurants - but when Pappadeaux is accessible, everything else just fades away (including Saltlick BBQ - which I absolutely love!) If I were picking my last meal on this earth, the first item on that list would be Pappadeaux blackened shrimp & crawfish fondeaux! ($26.99) It is everything you could hope it would be and as I said, I've been dreaming about it for years! It comes with garlic French bread and if you haven't ever had it, we'll I'm just plain sorry - but if you get the chance, by all means, scratch this off your bucket list! Another one of my favorites here is the bacon wrapped shrimp brochette ($40.95) which is Grilled bacon wrapped shrimp filled with Monterey Jack cheese & a sliver of jalapeño, dirty rice - and is also a little slice of heaven. Pappadeaux is nestled away, speakeasy style down some stairs in terminal A. The inside of this restaurant makes you forget that you are at the airport and is a great place to comfortably hang out if they aren't busy. Insider note: If you are at one of the tables with a lamp on it, there is a plug on the wall under the table for you to charge your phone or plug in your laptop) I will always come here whenever I am passing through and have enough time! Five proud glowing stars!

Yelp
Who said airport food has to be bad? Go down the escalator in terminal A and arrive at the restaurant. I love Pappadeaux fries shrimp- light breading and delicious- these were a little oiler than I'm used to but the comeback of the asparagus (omg) was sooooo good. Perfection. The husband got. Burger- he actually liked it but would have appreciated a little char on the outside.

Yelp
Probably the best meal I've had in an airport. Pappadeaux is in DFW in a few spots, with the main place being under heavy construction. To get to it, you have to take a sketchy elevator and end up straight in the restaurant with no view of the terminal. Weird stuff all around. Sat at the bar where service was a bit slow but friendly at least. Got an old fashioned, which was solid, after they were missing the ingredients for another cocktail. Pretty damned big too. Skipped the apps and got the grouper which is one of my favorite fishes. It came with shrimp and crab in a lemon butter sauce. Really fresh and well prepared, and a huge portion. Some shrimp were a bit overcooked however otherwise fine, and the crab wasn't plentiful but it was enough to have an impact. The honey roasted carrots and pistachios with it were interesting, however the sweetness didn't really go with the fish. I ate them on their own. Next time would sub out for spinach instead. Will be coming here whenever I'm in DFW with enough time for a connecting flight. Great food in the airport is hard to come by and so many places get it wrong. Plus I really love cajun food when I can get it.
google avatar

Melanie V.

Yelp
Super solid food and drinks experience but service was slow. Order right away and get the check when you see your waiter! All the food was very good though. Little snug for all the baggage but nice ambiance.
google avatar

Lewis H.

Yelp
It's airport food how good could it be. Buckle up because I got the cat fish po boy and it was off the hook. Two large filets, some of the best I've had, slaw. The fries were perfect. The portion was a lot I had to take half to go. The service was excellent and attentive. I have always liked Pappadeaux, but my Wife has a shell fish allergy so we usually don't go. However finding this gem at gate C14 I will be here more often
google avatar

Yelp
Food was very tasty ! Greek salad with grilled shrimp amazing. Good fast service. Highly recommend this one.

Yelp
Man. I've been waiting to try this spot while in Dallas but didn't get too. Then I arrived in terminal A!!! Pappadeuxs!!!! What a blessing since I had about 4 hours till I board. I had to get something only they had and landed on the crawfish platter. It was giant!! The plate had dimensions of maybe 2' by 1'? The pictures on here do no justice. I'm glad I skipped the appetizer. It was fried crawfish, dirty rice and crawfish étouffée. Pronounced Eh - 2 - Fay. It was soooo good. It was like a Cajun gravy mixed with hella crawfish. I would take a bite of the sausage rice with the gravy then treated the fried version like an app. I no bullshit ate over 200 crawfish. I'm soooo stuffed haha. So good, I'm gonna be full for a week. The ambiance is nice, good music and the ceiling has a sweet design. I think there is a hidden elevator behind me I'm gonna exit on. Also. Ken was great as a server, very nice and made me feel at home.

Yelp
Our flight was delayed numerous times and finally we decided to have a good meal while in DFW Terminal A. I like the setting and the vibe of the restaurant. Our servant was pleasant and gave good recommendations. For entrees we ordered the Ribeye with Broccolini and the Crawfish platter. The food was good and plenteous. Our beverages were a glass of Malbec and an Old Fashioned. For an airport meal, the cost wasn't bad. Overall, it was a great meal.

David B.

Yelp
I always try to hit this place up when in town - this time at the airport. Maybe a little tricky to find but worth the walk. Escalator down and quickly seated at a table. Hard to pick something but the gumbo doesn't disappoint. Great service here and all of their places - can't go wrong.
google avatar

Arcadia W.

Yelp
Guess what?! I just had the most amazing meal at the airport - who knew?! I'd heard rumors about this incredible Creole seafood place, and I had to check it out. Let me tell you, the gumbo was seriously out of this world! And the fish and shrimp? Perfectly seasoned - pure deliciousness! Seriously, if you're ever flying through here, you HAVE to try it.
google avatar

Bill A.

Yelp
Dropped by the DFW terminal A location next to gate 25. They are doing construction so you need to take the elevator to floor 1. Been to Pappadeaux a few times and this one is about the same. No complaints on the service or food. Everything was prompt. Still a bit pricey but still good. The crawfish platter was $39. The platter consisted of etoufee, fried crawfish and dirty rice. The rice was very good and moist and the etoufee did not disappoint. Pretty good crawfish bites as well. Good real food in the airport, a little pricey but still quality.
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
Service is great. When your flight gets delayed, this is the best place to be. Superior flavors with fresh scallops shrimp and fish.
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
Service was slow but I was in no rush. Caesar salad was good and my espresso martini was great but took a long time to come. Playlist in the restaurant was great!
google avatar

Chan L.

Yelp
The vibe there is a complete transformation from the airport itself. I had the Bacon Burger it was incredible, the service was outstanding and fitting for the incredible atmosphere.

Pete M.

Yelp
Got stuck at DFW because of weather. Had a great time at the bar eating seafood gumbo and watching people get drunk. After the first round the complaining about the flights ended and the partying started. Great service, great food, great bar. Third or fourth time through here. I'll be back...

Alvaro T.

Yelp
When I tell you EVERY TIME I have the opportunity, I will eat here. The tea wasn't really sweet. The manager fixed it. We forgot our water bottle. The bus boy grabbed it, washed it and filled it with cold water! I have not seen this level of service in YEARS! Huge portions. Not shy with the alcohol. Food was DELICIOUS!
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the C terminal near 14-15 at DFW airport. It wasn't too crowded at the time and I needed a quick lunch before heading to the gate. I was seated quickly. The server was fantastic, took drink order and my food order. She also followed up several times, refilling my Coke Zero and asked how the Cheese bacon burger was and if it was cooked at medium well. Overall, it was a good lunch and great service at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Probably the classiest looking restaurant in DFW airport. The restaurant itself is located 1 story below the other businesses with it's wall art stretching to the main level. There are 2 entrances, one side with escalators/stairs and the other with elevators down to the restaurant. Togo orders have to be made at the bar. Service was very friendly. I had the gumbo with sausage and seafood, which had a good amount of heat and cleared the sinuses. My friend had a shrimp poboy that seemed a bit sweet but was otherwise good. If concerned about flight times, they have them displayed on TVs inside the restaurant. Definitely worth of a visit.
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
Great dinner at the airport! Service was fast and friendly. Our dishes were all tasty. I was very surprised at how good the trout was. It was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The restaurant was large. Comfortable seating with TVs throughout. We enjoyed our dinner!
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
Great Cajun food that always fulfill my craving for Cajun food found at the Dallas Airport! There are 2 locations. One in terminal a and another in c. I went to the a terminal location and got the susauge and seafood gumbo. The gumbo wasn't heavy and the perfect spiciness fill of yummy stuff to eat. They don't go eat on the amount they give although it is just a bowl size. Packed flavor in a bowl. They gave crackers and hot sauce with it. All to go and it was ready quick! There are 2 different prices - for crew /employees at the airport or general guests. The space can be accessed via elevator or escalator. The service was friendly and fast. Definitely going to visit again at the airport location when I am at the airport. Same consistency as the restaurants in the city. Wish they will open location in seattle...
google avatar

Yelp
The hosts are friendly and d welcoming. The restaurant is clean but the tables are close together which makes it hard to maneuver, especially if you have luggage and can be loud. My server was attentive but timid. To drink I had the Spring Fling. I don't like spicy things so I asked the server how spicy this drink was since it has serrano syrup and she said that she could have the bartender go super light on the serrano syrup. When my drink came out, I was shocked when I took a sip because the drink was so spicy. It burned my mouth and lips. My husband LOVES spicy things, and this drink was way too spicy for him too. I sent the drink back as there was no way I or my husband could drink it. I was going to try a different drink but I never had the opportunity to order a different one from our server. For an appetizer we had the crispy alligator. This was seasoned beautifully and cooked perfectly. The crispy potato sticks were addictive. For my meal I had the Crawfish Platter. This platter of fried crawfish and crawfish étouffée was DELICIOUS. It had a depth of flavor that takes love, care, and several hours to produce. The cook on everything on the platter was perfection. My husband had the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. The fish was light and flaky, the included seafood was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was flavorful and complementary. I look forward to my next visit and getting to try a different drink.

Yelp
Family and I were hungry and had an hour to kill during our layover. My grandma's friend suggested this place to her before our trip and I'm glad we were able to eat there. It was 930am so not crowded at all and a nice ambiance to it. We ordered appetizers and a salad to share. Even though some of it tasted very salty, the food was good overall!

Yelp
Best airport food I've ever eaten. A little pricey, but I expect that in an airport. My waitress was gorgeous.... She had a killer smile, and she brought me a delicious chop salad with a PERFECTLY prepared, and generous portion of well seasoned salmon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Quick pre flight lunch was really good. Had the catfish po' boy sandwich with fries. Tasty and hot and delivered quickly and efficiently. Strange, down 1-level location with no restrooms without heading back upstairs made up for by the good food, friendly and efficient service. Best food option in this port if the airport.

Yelp

Yelp
There was a time when I was a young man that air travel was an enjoyable adventure. Today it's still an adventure but not necessarily fun. More often it's an experience that we just try to survive in one piece. That especially applies to airport dining. There have been efforts in recent years to create more upscale food options for the areas behind airport security. I have trekked through DFW many times passing by the Pappadeaux's location in terminal A but never gave it much of a thought. During a longer layover recently, I thought "why not" and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is located on the ground level of the terminal so you need to take the escalators or an elevator down to the dining room. That was where I got my first surprise. The dining area is spacious with high ceilings, wood paneling, comfortable seating and a huge oval bar, all in keeping with the decor that you'd see in a regular Pappadeaux location. I was promptly seated and brought water, a menu, and a drink order. The menu has everything you'd expect in a full-service fine-dining restaurant. Playing it safe I ordered a house salad with blackened salmon, and pulled out my MacBook to get a bit of work finished while waiting for my entree. I barely got my work completed as my food quickly arrived from the kitchen piping hot. The salmon was beautifully prepared, a very nice medium rare as I requested, tender and juicy with just enough of the blackening spice. Salad greens were fresh and crisp with plenty of the bleu cheese dressing for the volume of veggies. Service was super friendly, prompt, attentive during my visit. My glass of tea never emptied for long without a refresh and the server made sure I got my check right away when I was ready to depart. This is really thoughtful when you're eating on the run and trying to make a dash to the gate. I wish all airport restaurants could be this good. Highly recommended.

Yelp
When I'm travelling thru this airport, Papadeaux is my guaranteed stop. I love their shrimp. Every shrimp is huge, the breading is perfection and deeply tasty. Their martini was so good. Everything I've had at papadeaux has been nothing short of delicious

Yelp
Pappadeaux is everything an airport restaurant should be. I love that you take escalators down to the location I visited (there are two in the airport I believe), and once there I was attended to and seated promptly. The waiter came over and asked if I had any sort of time constraints with my flights - I wish that every sit-down airport restaurant did this! I had a long layover so that wasn't an issue, but service was still prompt and attentive. My meal was excellent (snapper, crab and shrimp, with a side of carrots and pistachios that was perfectly cooked, love it when the side is not an afterthought), they have a well-curate wine selection, and I have to reiterate that service was impeccable - I always felt looked after but never felt rushed. Prices are reasonable for the ambience, quality of food, and service. I really do wish there were more airport restaurants like Pappadeaux.

Yelp
I can't believe such a stellar restaurant exists inside of an airport!! One of the best meals I've ever had and great service and atmosphere

Yelp
Fresh fish at an airport restaurant? Is that possible?? Well, here at the DFW airport's Pappadeaux, it is indeed possible! Prices are outrageous everywhere at this airport and this was no exception. My order of fried catfish po'boy with fries was around $25 and it was one of the cheaper things on the menu. But holy cow, this was a lot of food! But since I'm a fatty, I devoured all of it! Haha! But it did take me over an hour to conquer my mountain of fried food and carbs so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to eat your meal. The service was fabulous and 10x better than the already pretty good food. I can't express enough how impressed I was with my waitress' kindness and attentiveness. As for the food, the fries were pretty lame but since there were so many of them, I kept eating them until I felt sick (because that's how I roll lol). I give the po'boy an 8.5. The bun was tasty and buttered, the coleslaw was vinegar based, which is just how I like it, and the coating of the breading was better than many generic seasoning. The fish itself was good although it was a bit soggy towards one end. As a girl on a budget, I'm glad I got to try this once but I doubt I'll be able to afford a repeat visit.

Yelp
I come to DFW at least once a year an d always look forward to my dining experience at Pappadeaux. My favorite item was the crab & shrimp Cobb salad it's so amazing I wish they would bring it back. It's so difficult to find awesome keto meals on the go. I find Pappadeaux is great with substitute items they have plenty to choose from. Salads and vegetables are always fresh. Fish is always cooked to perfection so I find it hard to order a cheeseburger although when someone near me is eating one I have burger envy! Bunless of course : ) Servers here are always friendly just ask what's fresh or looking good for the day they have always given me the best recommendation, quick service obviously not fast food quick but if you have at least 45 minutes to enjoy a meal I recommend Pappadeaux. Once you go down that escalator you'll forget your inside the airport. In the center of the restaurant is a large bar. You are welcome to sit if you please otherwise, if you need a table, see the host stand right at the bottom of the escalator. I have very rarely had to wait more than five minutes for a table or a seat. Oh and check your flight on the board! Updated flight info is right on the wall so you don't miss any last minute gate changes.
