Decent variety of airport-priced food. Salads had minimal dressing, but the burger was great. We waited about 10 minutes after we sat down before we retrieved our own menus. I assumed that since this restaurant is behind security, the staff would be more proactive in case people needed to catch flights. The staff was friendly and once they found us. The atmosphere was nice and fairly relaxed.

The restaurant is located near gate A24 and Skylink. You have to take an elevator to get there. Food was delicious and well prepared, but supper expensive. Two drinks, one appetizer and a Chefs Selections entree plus 20 percent gratuity, we spent over $100. My daughter had the BAKED CRAB MAC & CHEESE, it was cheesy. Could use more crab meat on it. The RAINBOW TROUT & CRAB was amazing. Combination of toasted almonds, brown butter, lump of crab meat and trout was an explosion of favorite in the mouth. I am also happy to see that the Old Fashion was made with Buffalo Trace. LIFE'S A PEACH was good and refreshing. The service was the best part of our dining experience. Our waiter (from Jordan) was very personable and good at his job.

This is my go-to when wanting a fun, tasty adult beverage/ cocktail and some delicious, high-quality seafood to pair it with. Jan. 2025 I wanted to try something different from the red snapper that I had last visit and my regular opelousas dish. Thankz to waiter Ricardo's recommendation last visit. I ended up ordering the salmon alexander as he suggested. It was delicious but I'm a veggie person so I would had probably ask if I could substitute the dirty rice for some sautéed spinach, or broccoli or even some grilled asparagus or honey/ pistachio fresh baby carrots which they have as an available optional side seperately priced. Food here is so delicious but keep in mind it's not gentle to the wallet. But sometimes you jus got to. Update! April 2025 most recent visit after finishing last flt. on "go home day." I ordered the Pappadeaux house salad as my starter and of course my regular entrée Mississippi Catfish Opelousas and replaced the dirty rice for sautéed spinach to stay low carb Keto friendly for a lil' upcharge. So worth it 😊 Update July 31, 2025 after some talking w/ my awesome waitress Karen T. she convinced me to step out of my comfort zone of my usual order of the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. After some of her other recommendations it was between the rainbow trout or the redfish for me. I chose the trout and swapped the green beans for sautéed spinach this time, but will definitely look forward to trying the Texas Redfish entrée my next visit. After such a beautiful meal I was craving something sweet so another recommendation she made was the chocolate brownie ala'mode. I was presented w/ a very generous slice that was accompanied w/ a couple fresh raspberries that has just the right amount of tartness to beakdown all the sweetness going on from the rich chocolate brownie to the chocolate and caramel drizzled on the the scoop of vanilla ice cream. It too was absolutely delicious and very decadent.

Talk about delightful seafood at the airport 🤷🏼‍♀️🤌🏻😋 say what?? It was so yummy and very filing. We split a couple of appetizers, and they were MORE than large enough. Must try, if you love seafood 🦀🦞🐙🦐

Google
For an airport, the atmosphere was great. The food was good too (I had the trout & crab, which was 95% trout and 5% crab). It was basically butter based but still good.

Google
I had the Salmon Alexander & a gin and juice and a moscato. Around $75 The drink was good, strong, decent. The moscato selection was sweet and tasty also. The Alexander was very tasty. A little too much salt and still had the bay leaves in it, but seasoned well. The fish, crawfish and shrimp were cooked well The staff was nice and helpful with making food choice. This was a very nice spot to be located in the airport

Google
At here at 7:00 at night on a Tuesday and we’re seated right away. Arlen was our server and was friendly, helpful, and checked in with us routinely. The Mississippi Catfish was pretty good, and the dirty rice was amazing. The trout entree was also good. Fairly expensive but it is an airport and the portions are rather large. The N/A blood orange drink is amazing.

Stop here if you have the time- it’s well worth it. I’m constantly traveling and genuinely disappointed when my connection isn’t DFW because I eat here every chance I get. I’ve eaten at every iteration in DFW, and it is always amazing. My go to’s are the Catfish Opelousas and the Blackened Salmon Alexander. Perfection. For appetizers, I recommend the gumbo and alligator. For drinks, from craft beers to their house made specials- you simply can’t go wrong. I seriously only get drinks here and have tried everything on their menu, if that tells you anything. Their Bloody Mary is my favorite though. If you’re in a rush or questioning, there are takeout options or you can request your entree be served in a takeout container just in case.

Yelp
Love Pappadeaux and this location didn't disappoint. Keairra was wonderful at the bar. After going down the escalator, the restaurant comes into view and it's got that charm all Pappadeauxs have. Big bar area with plenty of seating and Keairra specifically asks for a name to address you throughout the meal. Got the red fish with spinach vs dirty rice and y'all, if I could lick the plate I would have. It was delicious! Glass of wine paired nicely and almost missed my flight I was enjoying so much! Will keep on my short list when at DFW and have an hour or two to fill before my next flight.

Yelp
Excellent New Orleans Cajun food! The Crawfish Etouffee plus sausage, sub dirty rice was awesome! Their special limited time Guava Banana Mai Tai was amazing addictive! They also have Blue Moon beer in bottles. You can enter via a hidden elevator around Gate 25 or via the main escalators around Gate 24. There seems to always be space at the bar counter. And the bartender can plug in your chargers behind the bar, to charge your phone and stuff. Food comes out quickly. Staff are quick and courteous.

Yelp
2.5 Stars! I stopped by Pappadeaux at DFW, near Gate 24, hoping for a good meal. I'll give them credit for the speed of service - my food arrived very quickly. Unfortunately, the quality was severely lacking. The gumbo was disappointingly watery, and the fried calamari was both overcooked and definitely not worth the price.($24). Based on this visit, it'll be a long time before I consider dining at any Pappadeaux again.

Yelp
Who said airport food has to be bad? Go down the escalator in terminal A and arrive at the restaurant. I love Pappadeaux fries shrimp- light breading and delicious- these were a little oiler than I'm used to but the comeback of the asparagus (omg) was sooooo good. Perfection. The husband got. Burger- he actually liked it but would have appreciated a little char on the outside.

Yelp
Food came out quickly. The server was extremely attentive. Brought water quickly and explained meals. She also asked if I was on a time frame to fly. The gator bites were ok. The string potatoes were just garnish. The Caesar was delicious and perfectly dressed. Old fashioned was great. I was impressed with the look and feel of the main restaurant. It was quiet but not ,"I can't bring my kids quiet. " It was a little pricey but it's kind of expected at an airport.

Yelp
It's airport food how good could it be. Buckle up because I got the cat fish po boy and it was off the hook. Two large filets, some of the best I've had, slaw. The fries were perfect. The portion was a lot I had to take half to go. The service was excellent and attentive. I have always liked Pappadeaux, but my Wife has a shell fish allergy so we usually don't go. However finding this gem at gate C14 I will be here more often

Yelp
I needed to grab some food during my long layover in Dallas, TX. How bout dem cowboys!!! So I decided to try out @pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in the Dallas Fort Worth airport. This would be my first time trying food at this restaurant. I decided to try crawfish étouffée for the first time. I must say I was impressed especially since I'm eating this dish in TX, and not Louisiana. I know, I know airport food, so there can't be any high expectations, right? I was very surprised. The food was very well seasoned and tasty. The service was top notch as well!!! Would I try it again? Yep!!! #foodie #food #chilebougie #chilebougieeats #foodreview #chilebougietravels #foodiegram #drinks #cocktails #chiamakalkalu #blackfoodie #foodcritic #texasfood #texasfoodie #mdfoodie #dcfoodie #blackgirltravel #Louisiana #Louisianafood #pappadeaux #crawfish #crawfishetouffee

The food was awesome, the portions were big, but seriously, our server Kai was amazing. Exceptional service!

Yelp
Probably the best meal I've had in an airport. Pappadeaux is in DFW in a few spots, with the main place being under heavy construction. To get to it, you have to take a sketchy elevator and end up straight in the restaurant with no view of the terminal. Weird stuff all around. Sat at the bar where service was a bit slow but friendly at least. Got an old fashioned, which was solid, after they were missing the ingredients for another cocktail. Pretty damned big too. Skipped the apps and got the grouper which is one of my favorite fishes. It came with shrimp and crab in a lemon butter sauce. Really fresh and well prepared, and a huge portion. Some shrimp were a bit overcooked however otherwise fine, and the crab wasn't plentiful but it was enough to have an impact. The honey roasted carrots and pistachios with it were interesting, however the sweetness didn't really go with the fish. I ate them on their own. Next time would sub out for spinach instead. Will be coming here whenever I'm in DFW with enough time for a connecting flight. Great food in the airport is hard to come by and so many places get it wrong. Plus I really love cajun food when I can get it.

Yelp
Super solid food and drinks experience but service was slow. Order right away and get the check when you see your waiter! All the food was very good though. Little snug for all the baggage but nice ambiance.

Yelp
The best restaurant in DFW bar none. Upscale feel and high quality food at very reasonable price. Service is always on point. Vibe is elegant yet relaxed and charming. Has an old fashioned feeling where time just stops. Great place to unwind while waiting for your next destination. My go to items: - crawfish etouffee - gumbo - shrimp & scallops pasta dish - key lime pie Can't go wrong - highly recommended if you have the chance this is a MUST TRY.

Yelp
Our flight was delayed numerous times and finally we decided to have a good meal while in DFW Terminal A. I like the setting and the vibe of the restaurant. Our servant was pleasant and gave good recommendations. For entrees we ordered the Ribeye with Broccolini and the Crawfish platter. The food was good and plenteous. Our beverages were a glass of Malbec and an Old Fashioned. For an airport meal, the cost wasn't bad. Overall, it was a great meal.

Yelp
Quality: 5 Quantity: 5 Affordability: 5 Customer Service: 5 Location: 5 We decided to grab some dinner at this Pappadeaux Seafood restaurant, which was conveniently located terminal A at the Dallas international Airport. As expected this restaurant is a very popular place for people. We had to only wait a few minutes before they were able to get us seated. The menu offers many options for everyone, and the portions are very plentiful. We decided to order two entrées as we were traveling all day long. Everything we ordered came out fast and tasted great. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive Overall experience was excellent and I'm sure that we would return for another visit.

Yelp
I have been dreaming about Pappadeaux for at least a few years since my last visit to the one in Phoenix years ago, and I finally got to scratch that itch by flying American Airlines and having a 3 hour layover at DFW. Pappadeaux is in Terminal A along with other great restaurants - but when Pappadeaux is accessible, everything else just fades away (including Saltlick BBQ - which I absolutely love!) If I were picking my last meal on this earth, the first item on that list would be Pappadeaux blackened shrimp & crawfish fondeaux! ($26.99) It is everything you could hope it would be and as I said, I've been dreaming about it for years! It comes with garlic French bread and if you haven't ever had it, we'll I'm just plain sorry - but if you get the chance, by all means, scratch this off your bucket list! Another one of my favorites here is the bacon wrapped shrimp brochette ($40.95) which is Grilled bacon wrapped shrimp filled with Monterey Jack cheese & a sliver of jalapeño, dirty rice - and is also a little slice of heaven. Pappadeaux is nestled away, speakeasy style down some stairs in terminal A. The inside of this restaurant makes you forget that you are at the airport and is a great place to comfortably hang out if they aren't busy. Insider note: If you are at one of the tables with a lamp on it, there is a plug on the wall under the table for you to charge your phone or plug in your laptop) I will always come here whenever I am passing through and have enough time! Five proud glowing stars!

Yelp
Great Cajun food that always fulfill my craving for Cajun food found at the Dallas Airport! There are 2 locations. One in terminal a and another in c. I went to the a terminal location and got the susauge and seafood gumbo. The gumbo wasn't heavy and the perfect spiciness fill of yummy stuff to eat. They don't go eat on the amount they give although it is just a bowl size. Packed flavor in a bowl. They gave crackers and hot sauce with it. All to go and it was ready quick! There are 2 different prices - for crew /employees at the airport or general guests. The space can be accessed via elevator or escalator. The service was friendly and fast. Definitely going to visit again at the airport location when I am at the airport. Same consistency as the restaurants in the city. Wish they will open location in seattle...

Yelp
Guess what?! I just had the most amazing meal at the airport - who knew?! I'd heard rumors about this incredible Creole seafood place, and I had to check it out. Let me tell you, the gumbo was seriously out of this world! And the fish and shrimp? Perfectly seasoned - pure deliciousness! Seriously, if you're ever flying through here, you HAVE to try it.
google avatar

Yelp
Dropped by the DFW terminal A location next to gate 25. They are doing construction so you need to take the elevator to floor 1. Been to Pappadeaux a few times and this one is about the same. No complaints on the service or food. Everything was prompt. Still a bit pricey but still good. The crawfish platter was $39. The platter consisted of etoufee, fried crawfish and dirty rice. The rice was very good and moist and the etoufee did not disappoint. Pretty good crawfish bites as well. Good real food in the airport, a little pricey but still quality.
google avatar

Yelp
Service is great. When your flight gets delayed, this is the best place to be. Superior flavors with fresh scallops shrimp and fish.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the C terminal near 14-15 at DFW airport. It wasn't too crowded at the time and I needed a quick lunch before heading to the gate. I was seated quickly. The server was fantastic, took drink order and my food order. She also followed up several times, refilling my Coke Zero and asked how the Cheese bacon burger was and if it was cooked at medium well. Overall, it was a good lunch and great service at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Pretty darn tasty food. Really enjoyed the crawfish etoffe with dirty rice. My server recommended the Louisiana Cajun Chef hot sauce which I really liked.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Probably the classiest looking restaurant in DFW airport. The restaurant itself is located 1 story below the other businesses with it's wall art stretching to the main level. There are 2 entrances, one side with escalators/stairs and the other with elevators down to the restaurant. Togo orders have to be made at the bar. Service was very friendly. I had the gumbo with sausage and seafood, which had a good amount of heat and cleared the sinuses. My friend had a shrimp poboy that seemed a bit sweet but was otherwise good. If concerned about flight times, they have them displayed on TVs inside the restaurant. Definitely worth of a visit.
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
Great dinner at the airport! Service was fast and friendly. Our dishes were all tasty. I was very surprised at how good the trout was. It was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The restaurant was large. Comfortable seating with TVs throughout. We enjoyed our dinner!
google avatar

Yelp
The hosts are friendly and d welcoming. The restaurant is clean but the tables are close together which makes it hard to maneuver, especially if you have luggage and can be loud. My server was attentive but timid. To drink I had the Spring Fling. I don't like spicy things so I asked the server how spicy this drink was since it has serrano syrup and she said that she could have the bartender go super light on the serrano syrup. When my drink came out, I was shocked when I took a sip because the drink was so spicy. It burned my mouth and lips. My husband LOVES spicy things, and this drink was way too spicy for him too. I sent the drink back as there was no way I or my husband could drink it. I was going to try a different drink but I never had the opportunity to order a different one from our server. For an appetizer we had the crispy alligator. This was seasoned beautifully and cooked perfectly. The crispy potato sticks were addictive. For my meal I had the Crawfish Platter. This platter of fried crawfish and crawfish étouffée was DELICIOUS. It had a depth of flavor that takes love, care, and several hours to produce. The cook on everything on the platter was perfection. My husband had the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas. The fish was light and flaky, the included seafood was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was flavorful and complementary. I look forward to my next visit and getting to try a different drink.

Yelp
Best airport food I've ever eaten. A little pricey, but I expect that in an airport. My waitress was gorgeous.... She had a killer smile, and she brought me a delicious chop salad with a PERFECTLY prepared, and generous portion of well seasoned salmon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
google avatar

Sanea F.

Yelp
Family and I were hungry and had an hour to kill during our layover. My grandma's friend suggested this place to her before our trip and I'm glad we were able to eat there. It was 930am so not crowded at all and a nice ambiance to it. We ordered appetizers and a salad to share. Even though some of it tasted very salty, the food was good overall!
google avatar

Candace A.

Yelp
Food is always good here and it's nice to out of the hustle of the concourse but my waitress, Karina, was simply outstanding!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
Quick pre flight lunch was really good. Had the catfish po' boy sandwich with fries. Tasty and hot and delivered quickly and efficiently. Strange, down 1-level location with no restrooms without heading back upstairs made up for by the good food, friendly and efficient service. Best food option in this port if the airport.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Grabbed something to eat here since it was across from my gate. I should have looked a little further. Sat at the bar. Ordered the Crab Macaroni and Cheese. Asked the bartender if there was actually a decent amount of crab. She said yes. For $17.99 I had to search for crab meat I think I counted 4 small pieces. My glass of wine cost more Waste of $40. Next time I'll try the Italian place a few feet away Don't waste your $ on this item. Very disappointing Attention of the bartender was a bit lacking as she had her back to the bar quite a bit making service drinks. She didn't look around and seemed surprised when she saw myself and another couple waiting. She was done making service drinks but continued on with her conversation with the server and didn't know we had been seated for at least 5 mins So between being ripped off with the joke of the crab Mac n cheese and inattentive service of the bartender at an "upscale" restaurant, I won't go back. I travel often and Dallas is a connection I use.

Yelp
Staff was terrific. Food servings are large. Nice atmosphere, first time visit. Place was clean.

Yelp
When I'm travelling thru this airport, Papadeaux is my guaranteed stop. I love their shrimp. Every shrimp is huge, the breading is perfection and deeply tasty. Their martini was so good. Everything I've had at papadeaux has been nothing short of delicious

Yelp
There was a time when I was a young man that air travel was an enjoyable adventure. Today it's still an adventure but not necessarily fun. More often it's an experience that we just try to survive in one piece. That especially applies to airport dining. There have been efforts in recent years to create more upscale food options for the areas behind airport security. I have trekked through DFW many times passing by the Pappadeaux's location in terminal A but never gave it much of a thought. During a longer layover recently, I thought "why not" and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is located on the ground level of the terminal so you need to take the escalators or an elevator down to the dining room. That was where I got my first surprise. The dining area is spacious with high ceilings, wood paneling, comfortable seating and a huge oval bar, all in keeping with the decor that you'd see in a regular Pappadeaux location. I was promptly seated and brought water, a menu, and a drink order. The menu has everything you'd expect in a full-service fine-dining restaurant. Playing it safe I ordered a house salad with blackened salmon, and pulled out my MacBook to get a bit of work finished while waiting for my entree. I barely got my work completed as my food quickly arrived from the kitchen piping hot. The salmon was beautifully prepared, a very nice medium rare as I requested, tender and juicy with just enough of the blackening spice. Salad greens were fresh and crisp with plenty of the bleu cheese dressing for the volume of veggies. Service was super friendly, prompt, attentive during my visit. My glass of tea never emptied for long without a refresh and the server made sure I got my check right away when I was ready to depart. This is really thoughtful when you're eating on the run and trying to make a dash to the gate. I wish all airport restaurants could be this good. Highly recommended.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Consistently good service and great food. I have been to this location numerous times and overall it is always an enjoyable visit. We started our meal with the calamari appetizer. Calamari is well cooked and the dips it is accompanied by complement the flavors well. For my meal I had the salmon entree with crawfish tails and shrimp. The sauce this entree comes with is the star of the dish. The salmon was cooked well, but the portion size seemed off and smaller than a normal entree at most locations. The green beans side is fairly bland, unless you mix with the sauce on the plate. Service was on point and I never had to wait for a drink. Great spot to grab a bite before a flight. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Pree C.

Yelp
Very surprised for an airport restaurant. Fresh and great quality seafood! Service was great and ambiance was really cool .. again for an airport. We went to the one in terminal B.

Yelp
Fresh fish at an airport restaurant? Is that possible?? Well, here at the DFW airport's Pappadeaux, it is indeed possible! Prices are outrageous everywhere at this airport and this was no exception. My order of fried catfish po'boy with fries was around $25 and it was one of the cheaper things on the menu. But holy cow, this was a lot of food! But since I'm a fatty, I devoured all of it! Haha! But it did take me over an hour to conquer my mountain of fried food and carbs so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to eat your meal. The service was fabulous and 10x better than the already pretty good food. I can't express enough how impressed I was with my waitress' kindness and attentiveness. As for the food, the fries were pretty lame but since there were so many of them, I kept eating them until I felt sick (because that's how I roll lol). I give the po'boy an 8.5. The bun was tasty and buttered, the coleslaw was vinegar based, which is just how I like it, and the coating of the breading was better than many generic seasoning. The fish itself was good although it was a bit soggy towards one end. As a girl on a budget, I'm glad I got to try this once but I doubt I'll be able to afford a repeat visit.

Yelp
I really wanted salmon but it was all accompanied by other stuff I wasn't in the mood for so I settled on the gumbo. Jose was our server and he was cool as a cucumber, split the check three ways for us. It was pretty loud in there and a tight space. All good though, the gumbo was delicious but I had to ask for a side of rice as it wasn't included because who eats gumbo without rice!
google avatar

Betty J.

Yelp
I come to DFW at least once a year an d always look forward to my dining experience at Pappadeaux. My favorite item was the crab & shrimp Cobb salad it's so amazing I wish they would bring it back. It's so difficult to find awesome keto meals on the go. I find Pappadeaux is great with substitute items they have plenty to choose from. Salads and vegetables are always fresh. Fish is always cooked to perfection so I find it hard to order a cheeseburger although when someone near me is eating one I have burger envy! Bunless of course : ) Servers here are always friendly just ask what's fresh or looking good for the day they have always given me the best recommendation, quick service obviously not fast food quick but if you have at least 45 minutes to enjoy a meal I recommend Pappadeaux. Once you go down that escalator you'll forget your inside the airport. In the center of the restaurant is a large bar. You are welcome to sit if you please otherwise, if you need a table, see the host stand right at the bottom of the escalator. I have very rarely had to wait more than five minutes for a table or a seat. Oh and check your flight on the board! Updated flight info is right on the wall so you don't miss any last minute gate changes.

Yelp
The food was really good. The calamari and house salad is what to be expected for appetizers. However, the fish and green beans was amazing. It was perfectly prepared, full of flavor with generous serving servings. The Spring Fling drink was FIRE, it had the perfect balance of heat and sweetness, with a cool mint aftertaste. The service was great, we were immediately seated and our waiter was always attentive to our needs. The restaurant is a smaller location, however it's in the airport so it's to be expected. The majority of people have bags and luggage that take up additional aisle space so you just have to maneuver around them. Overall great experience, food and drinks as you wait for your flights.

Yelp
This is NOT airport food...Trout with Crab tonight. Presentation: glorious Depth of flavor: unimpeachable...this dish delivers a cacophony of flavor from the first bite onward. It's literally all there...a hint of sweetness, a touch of acid, a wake-up call to any palette. The crab was, in itself, dessert. I rode the train from B to get here...best decision of my entire week. Cheers and Bon Appetite!

Yelp
Had a long layover at lunchtime, and enjoyed every bit of it at Pappadeaux. The crab dip was outstanding, too much for one for sure! Fabulous lunch, service excellent as well.

Yelp
4/5 - Service was fairly quick and the server was nice. Checked in a few times to make sure I was taken care of. 5/5 - It was actually a pretty nice restaurant in the airport. Managed to get some work done and enjoy a decent meal. 3/5 - Ordered a Salmon Alexander with a side salad instead of the dirty rice. Taste was good. I'm sure it would've been great with the rice, but the sauce was a bit broken, oil being separated from the rest of the cream. Would come back again but maybe just order something simpler like a Po boy or some fried catfish.

Yelp
While traveling I was looking for a more healthier meal and I found it at the Dallas International Airport! Check out this delicious salad filled with all my favorites and a side of seafood gumbo. The salad was fresh and did not lack in ingredients. However I was disappointed in the gumbo. The roux was dark and delicious but it lacked in the main ingredient, seafood. The shrimp were large and fresh but the filler used was not crab meat but an abundance of okra. Okra is delicious in gumbo however should not be the main ingredient. I was pleasantly surprised when I asked for Louisiana Hot Sauce for my gumbo, the server smiled and said absolutely! He promptly brought me a small container with the perfect hot sauce to give the gumbo the rightful kick! The service was amazing and the price for an airport restaurant was more than acceptable!

Yelp
We had an overnight connection so we jumped over here for dinner prior to our stay at the Grand Hyatt. Service was amazingly fast. The food came out quickly and was cooked appropriately. We hadn't eaten here before over worries we didn't have time between flights. We both had the fried crawfish dinner. I substituted dirty rice for the French fries, which for me was a great choice. This is one of the very best airport restaurants we've ever been too and one I'm sure we'll return to again in the future

Yelp
Definitely great airport food! We had the salmon with shrimp and crawfish - didn't like the craw but that's just me. The shrimp Po' Boy was fabulous! Health food it isn't. Good service, a real restaurant if you have a layover and your best food option in Americans terminal.

Yelp
Honestly a real treat. I've walked past this place for years during my flight connections. Decided to try it and it is fantastic. Service and food were incapable. Fast and delicious. Consider stopping here at your next connection.

Yelp
I was flying out of DFW and had left myself enough time to grab a bite before my flight. I found a few airport restaurants with high Yelp ratings and was pleased to discover Pappadeaux was right next to my gate. I let the hostess know that boarding would begin in less than an hour and asked if that would be a problem. I was assured it wouldn't be, so I sat down at a table and relaxed for a bit. I asked for a recommendation between the Crawfish Platter and the Shrimp & Scallop Orecchiette Pasta. The server recommended the pasta, so I ordered it. I enjoyed a really good meal: the food was very tasty, and while the portion looked small at first, it turned out to be more than enough, and I wrapped up my leftovers to have for lunch the next day. There were only a couple of cons to my experience at Pappadeaux: 1) Everything on the menu seemed pretty expensive, especially for Texas. 2) The receipt showed suggested tip calculations (15%, 18%, and 20%), which is often helpful. I realized later on, however, that the calculations took tax into account, which isn't standard; the tip is supposed to be on the meal and the service, not the tax. It felt less than honest, which soured the experience just a bit. Still, I'd come back to try the Crawfish Platter or another cajun specialty.
