The food was good but could be better The salsa wasn’t super spicy they should work on that and also the food was a little salty. The service was great. The waitress was super nice. I dined out side and there was a lot of flies. They should take care of that to other than that this place is great.

Spent over $100 for dinner on Mother’s Day and my fajitas were tough as leather. The shrimp were split so thinly until I could barely remove them from the shell and couldn’t even enjoy them. They gave me charro beans when I requested refried… I was so upset with this meal until I packed most of it in a take out container and left the restaurant. The only thing that was pleasing were the drinks. The food - Very disappointing.

This was my first visit to this location. I loved the outside and inside atmosphere. The host was nice, however, I feel she was not too much of a greeter like I am use too. She also could not say what her favorite dish or what was popular on the menu. We waited for a booth which took approximately 5-8 minutes. Christian was our waiter, he as well was not too familiar with the top sellers on the menu, he would atleast respond to our questions although he was very quick with his responses as well as quickly walking away. I understand a restaurant this big causes for some waiters to be everywhere at once, believe me I have been a waitress for many years. He was nice enough to let us be aware about the beef steak coming out medium well. It was ask to be cooked a little longer. Once Christian brought our steak you could tell right away it was still medium well. He offered to bring it to the back to cook more but what we wanted was it to be well done before even receiving all our food. Now Shattle, there is a reason why she is manger. She is very knowledgeable on the top sellers. She also provided us with her personal favorite dish before we actually decided on what we wanted. We ended up expressing to her our complaint not even expecting anything in return. Out of the kindness of her heart she had a new batch made up the correct way. I feel if it was not for her I would have been very displeased with the entire service. So thank you Shattle. You were wonderful. Side note the food did have a really great flavor.

Too loud. Waitress took order of Medium fajitas...said it back to me and then brought large order and charged me. What two old people can eat a large fajita? Too difficult to hear.

My hubby and I really enjoyed Pappasito's! It was our first time there, as we were visiting from Kentucky! I could tell our waitress was a bit of an introvert (as most of my friends are), but she was friendly, sweet, and on point with everything we needed or wanted! The food was DELICIOUS and had massive portions! We even had enough for lunch the next day! Whenever I visit Houston again (and I WILL be back for the people, culture, and food), I will visit Pappasito's again!!!

Upon arrival it was extremely cold in the building , food was not hot but warm . Chicken had way too much salt on it , seem like the cooks just poured salt on the plate of food

I was born and raised on this side of town, but have never had the chance to stop by and grab a bite to eat until this past Tuesday! The service was excellent, the food was phenomenal, I had the Beef Fajitas with homemade flour tortillas while my mother had a combination dish. I can say that I left with a smile on my face! The tres leches was perfect, not too milky and not too grainy it had that perfect balance that I like! They have an in-house tortilla press and will gladly refill your tortillas if you run out/want more. Adam (I believe that was his name 😅) did an excellent job of waiting on us and ensured that our team stayed full! We will definitely be back soon!

We are on our way to Arizona and got trapped in the rush hour traffic. We looked on line and saw Pappasito's Cantina and a BBQ place with reviews just as good. We decided on the Cantina. Jessica was a fantastic host and the order was exactly correct. She checked on us, but not to much. When we were eating the Manager came by and told us they have three restaurants. This one, Papas BBQ place and pappadeaux seafood. He also was told that this is our first visit. He gave us dessert on the cuff. We would highly recommend this restaurant when passing through Houston, Tx!

This was my first time eating here so I had high expectations. The place is a lot larger than it looks and offered plenty of parking and quick seating once we got inside. The service was great but once it came to food time things were not so great. If its your birthday then they really do give you a great song and cheerful mini party. I will probably give them another shot but the food overall tasted average and was over priced. The bar drinks did stick out and were very good but again you go to the restaurant for food not the drinks.

This Pappasitos location has been a favorite of mine for basically as long as I can remember. As with any Pappasitos, the chips and salsa are amazing. I think they have some of the best around, potentially even my favorite. The reason I give this restraunt 4 stars is because of the price. They are overpriced, in my opinion. However, the quality is good, and the portions are large. I try and mostly visit Pappasitos during lunch hours. I think the prices are good for lunch portions compared to dinner prices being around double. I think they have some of the best chicken fajitas around. The thing is, they are sometimes overcooked at certain locations. Thankfully, at this location, they have always been great. I think this is one of the best restaurants around the area. Maybe even the best. If you haven't tried Pappasitos, I recommend it. It's a Houston favorite.

I was visiting Houston for a few days I wanted to get Mexican food. I definiitely love me some queso and margaritas. I seen this place off the highway so I just yelped it , I noticed they had white queso so I gave them a try. The food here is surprisingly good, I got white queso of course lol which was pretty good, a few margaritas which were delicious and a chicken burrito, the service was really good, we came early, the building got packed pretty fast tho. The scenery was vey nice , kind of outdoorsy. Wood cabin, I wouldn't mind returning. Definiitely would recommend

Arrived at 1:45 expecting to miss some of the Friday lunch crowd, nope, looked like plenty of empty tables, perhaps not enough wait staff? Order was taken relatively quick, but took way too long to come out (over 20 minutes) and then my order was wrong, wife's order was right. One of the managers came by and apologized for the mistake and offered a free queso, which I declined. Waitress came by and apologized and said it would be 5 minutes, nope about 15 minutes later my right order came out. The food was good ( it normally always is) but the service was terrible. Our waitress never refilled our water or ask about refilling our chips. One of the manager did come by and asked if she could refill our chips and water. It was obvious that the waitress had a bigger table next to us that was getting all her attention. We always enjoy the food but not sure it was worth all the frustration. PS. Waitress also gave us ticket with the wrong meal still on it. Needless to say she was not tipped 20%.

food today was okay , with the exception of what seemed like a ham bone in my refried beans. We sat at the bar waited for at least 14:O0 min for a waiter, he never came. I decided to go up to the bar and order a drink. Got one with no problem. Once our food came it took forever to get our check. I might add, I also ordered food to go. Again took forever for the waiter to come and check on us and give us our to go order! In conclusion, if your in a hurry don't go to Pappasito's '. I will also add we went there at 2:00 pm

Very good food and fast service. Atmosphere and decor were spot on. They also have outside seating. The prices are a bit high for my pocket book.

Pappasito's has some of the best fajitas anywhere!! No gristle and tender as they come! The service is always friendly and fast and the atmosphere is fun and pleasant. It was my birthday so they put a sombrero on my head, sang to me and gave me a free dessert! Great experience! And their outdoor ambiance is amazing! Check out the photos!

First time eating here, and as I looked at the menu, everything was overpriced, the food was good my wife and split fajita's, the service was decent, but it was also a little loud in there as well, so it was hard to talk at times, probably not going to come here anytime soon.

The best fajitas I have ever had. We ordered the family chicken and beef fajitas that was plenty for 3 guys. It came with a side of beans and rice. Also, the cheese dip was very good. Highly recommend to anyone who reads this. This will be a must be come back place! I mean it!

Always love Papasitos ... this trip took forever, didn't get our drinks had to ask several times. My order was all messed up... If this had been my first time... I wouldn't come back.

I don't know what happened here today. Only 4-5 tables of patrons, slow service and lots of errors. There were 9 in our group, they forgot to place one order, they brought another wrong order, hair found in ice cream, took forever to close out our bill and short changed the one who paid with cash. The food smelled better than it tasted. Not sure what was going on today. The Margarita was good though and made up for it but come on, this was not Pappas quality or service here. Will come back just to see if it was just an off day. Celebrated my birthday but it wasn't what I was expecting.

The food is great as to be expected at any Pappasito's. The front of the house service at this place can be better. I reserved a table for 7 for 7pm but had to call the restaurant before my party and I got there to cancel that reservation & have it be at 6:15pm instead. We got there at 6:00 and the group of hostesses were hesitant to give us my requested table for the allotted time. One of the younger hostesses was kind enough to seat us at the back of the house where it was quieter and we got to spend it away from the larger crowds. It was my Dad's birthday celebration so he wanted it to be a momentous occasion for our whole extended family. There was a slight misunderstanding with the waitress as she thought that it was a surprise thing when it wasn't. Needless to say our party of 7 was accommodated ... we got our food on time, we ordered two of the family platters, corn tortillas, flour tortillas for the whole party, a kids meal, and my niece got to blow the candle that she brought for her grandpa--the birthday celebrant. I'm coming back for my birthday at month's end, I am looking forward to having that tres leches for mine.

I don't understand why some people have given Papasitos bad reviews... y'all, this is the best Mexican restaurant. The fajitas cannot be beat. When they have lobster.... Sheesh, so good. Best tortillas you can eat. Amazing tableside guac. Great margaritas. Good, fast service. When coming into Houston, we never miss it!

Tables are too close together, they rush you in and out. If I go, I'll sit in the bar area, if there's room, you can take more time to eat. Too pricey to be rushed and crowded. Entrees are good, rice and beans are bland.

I like to go when is less crowded,the salsa is delicious and the food too,but sometimes de service is bad.

Looking for a great Mexican dinner in eastern Houston, definitely try this one! Fajitas we enormous, the chips n salsa are a great start (amazing home made chips) tamales tasted very authentic, and the chicken chimichanga was excellent! I enjoyed the top shelf margaritas and they had several good Mexican beers on draft. Wait staff was very friendly and service was good as well. I would definitely visit again!

There was definitely a confusion in what I expected out of a fajita quesadilla versus what I actually got. I expected peppers and onions in it, which was not how they had it. the server and the manager offered to remake it for me, but I did not want the food to go to waste, and it still tasted good just was not what I was expecting. The Pappasito-s Famous Shrimp Brochette was amazing! I'd come back just for this dish. Lots of flavor and bacon wrapped! Bacon was cooked nice and crispy. On my next visit I will definitely try some Mexican dishes

I came here last Saturday around 6:30p.. I requested to sit outside because it was freezing and dark inside. We had to wait 10 mins for a table that was already cleaned.. we get the chips & salsa & the chips are warm & fresh but the salsa was bland and warm.. warm salsa was new to me.. no kids menu (so they can up charge you) the entree items aren't really impressed.. we ordered the food came pretty quickly.. it was drenched in cheese, cheese is part of what we ordered but DAYUM!!! the couple next to us had to send their food back to be cooked more.. overall this place is all hype & not worth the 50$ i paid.. it was aight but i won't be back

The services was excellent!! The atmosphere and staff including the hostess was great!! The main meal was fantastic!! The only issue was the after taste on the chips. The cooking oil used almost tasted old. I know that they use the same cooking oil for other fried foods. But on the chips it just gives an odd after-taste. Even the smell is off-putting. Never have that issue at other restaurants that serve chips. Just always been at any Pappasito's Cantinas. Like I said everything was amazing.

Best experience at this location. I came here last minute just to celebrate me passing boards in medical school with my family. While first sitting down we didn't start off at the best due to a waiter dropping a margarita glass which shattered on our table and our drinks. Once I notified our waitress she spoke with her manager to let her know what happened. The manager came over and apologized for the incident and asked us if she could make our experience better. We told her no but her generosity and sincere heart kept insisting if she could make things right for us. Which she ended up doing without a doubt. I can honestly this has been one of the few great experiences I've experienced since I've been in Houston visiting family. The manager went above our expectations and needs to make things right which didn't go unnoticed. Beyond thankful I had thing dining experience at this location.

Great food, great atmosphere. The plate is not the cheapest meal out there, but the size and quality are worth every penny.

This is a family spot. My family and I go here when we want to celebrate and eat out. We had family platter that came in sizzling and delicious to look at. We also ordered quesadillas.

Love this place! Amazing chips and salsa. Favorite dish is Plato Del Mar with beef fajitas and bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp. Tonight dropped by for a quick "snack" at the bar.

Late lunch here. Smaller menu was on a sheet of paper to throw away. Prices were higher than last time we visited. Fajita chicken nachos were $16.95, beef fajita nachos $19.95. Most meals were around $20 or more. Nachos are a huge order ,which we split. 1 salad on the menu $16.95. The chips and red dip were free & delicious. But we missed the green creamy avocado dip- They weren't serving it at this time. Tables were spaced apart & all the workers wore masks.

This place is AMAZING!!! We stopped by here yesterday on our way back home from vacation. This restaurant had the best food at on all the places we ate at on our trip. The fajitas were absolutely phenomenal.

They serve consistently excellent TexMex. I like their chips and salsa. The dishes are hot and well prepared. Service is excellent. The only beef I have with them is that they have gotten pretty proud and have raised their prices pretty high.

Have to admit the fajitas are good but I don't think worth the price anymore. Especially in this economic time. Visited last week, just my husband and I, 1 beer, 1 reg margarita and ordered fajitas for 2-3. And were served fajitas for 2 because instead of a medium bowl of rice and beans we were served individual beans with rice! Our check total was right at 95.00 no way in the world do I think this meal was with a $100 + bucks, since we still had to include tip. I give it a 4, it was good just not worth the price. When a pound of fajitas at the meat mkt is $10 and we know restaurants like meat mkts get bulk discounts!

Food is good but it is so overpriced it's almost unaffordable for a family of four to have a decent dinner

This is the 2nd time in a row that we've been greatly disappointed in this locations service. We were lied to by the hostess, brought our food out incorrectly, was cold and while mine was brought out, the other order was brought out 15 min later. How areyou supposed to have a family meal like that? Second time out (after giving it another try), we didn't even make it to our table before we had 2 different managers telling us different stories on sitting us and ordering drinks. They can keep their gift cards and apologies. We will not be returning to this location ever. Why is it so different on this side of town than elsewhere? I'd rather be writing a report on how wonderful the experience was.

Pappasitos Cantina was a great atmosphere, delicious seafood and drinks. I came here on a Tuesday night with coworkers and the dinner was prompt with good service. I ordered the red fish on a half shell and it was cooked perfect and very flavorful. I would recommend it as the plate was very filling.

Chips taste like soap ruined my whole meal please stop using coconut oil to fry them numerous of complaints about their chips and is like it goes in one ear and out the other one

Looking for some great TexMex and this place did not disappoint. Amazing food and service and the ambiance was just straight up fun. So cute! We had steak and shrimp fajitas and all was amazing. The chips and the fajitas were fantastic!

Ok I did it, I've been told can't goto Texas without going to a Pappas. First and last. Cookie cutter, average food. We got the fajitas, the garlic butter i can for was cold, the fajitas didn't sizzle and the service was terrible. Our waiter was maybe 22, had no idea what types of wines, margaritas, or beer there was. We asked for a skinny marg and got one full of simple syrup. "Recipe" they said. Save your hard earned money and find local. Never again!

Loved this place! We set at the bar & our server was great. The food was amazing, we ordered the fajita & shrimp for two & it came with chicken as well. We got a strawberry margarita & a piña colada they were delicious!

SUPER TASTY! Loved the fajitas loved the quest, loved the service!! Jordan was fantastic! Oh the tortillas... YES PLEASE! The only thing that threw me off was the warm salsa, I'm sure it's traditional in some sense, but I like a little cold with my hot. Host was super nice as well. Love the whole experience! I judge Tex-Mex places by quality of chips and salsa & margaritas. They have probably the worst chips and salsa in Houston. The chips taste like someone put soap in the fryer (no I do not have the cilantro thing). Their salsa is incredibly bland. The food is generally good but you can get just as good food and margs for cheaper at like 500 restaurants in Houston. Just too many options to eat here.

Decided to stop here last minute as we were on our was home. Our first date included this Pappasito's 23 years ago in August. Great service from Sam. We were visited at our our table by Manager Victor who welcomed us. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was nice. Loved our time together at Pappasito's.

Nice people, nice atmosphere. Eat here once or twice a year. Salsa is the reason for the low grade its below awful and the chips taste like they have been dipped in soap. Last time we were there salsa taste like vomit Chicken and garlic butter sauce is very good. Now the price TOO high for 78 dollars I can feed my church small group of 25 for that price and have food left over so they are making a killing off their fajitas. Papasitas is an acquired taste just not mine. But its nothing against their staff.

This place is awesome I love everything. The service is great the food and drinks are awesome. I had the chicken and steak fajitas, the meat wasn't so tender and delicious. The salsa is delicious and has a slight kick. If you are ever in Houston this is a most do spot. And if you can't wait just go to the bar area it's usually immediate seating

I loved this place. The outside is so pretty. The garden has a cool looking water trough. I walked in and was greeted kindly by the people. The cheese dip is so good. The restaurant is kind of a Tex-mex kind of restaurant. The waitress was really nice. I got cheese enchiladas, which was the best enchiladas I ever tasted. The rice was hard though and the beans weren't the best. But I bet it'll get better. I tried the alcohol free margarita, and it wasn't that good. I guess I'm not a margarita person. Overall it was the best, I can see myself going there again.

Wow... where do I begin. Best meal I've had in a very long time. Yes, pricey. But if you've been craving phenomenal Mexican food on every level and great service. Come here! Bathrooms were very clean. Home made tortillas. Best margaritas (once again, pricey) Ordered chicken fajitas, chicken empanadas appetizers, chicken enchiladas, queso, and tres leches cake. Every bite was better than the last. I grew up in very Southern California. My standards were high. But my expectations were far exceeded. Chile mango margarita was hands down thee best too! Can't say enough good things about this place'

I understand the whole COVID problem with getting help and I understand however This is the second time I got a order to go with bad experience. We have eaten inside several times then when I order the same thing I get half of the order at full price. This time I ordered extra tortillas and chips and salsa and I didn't get any chips salsa or tortillas! I live about a hour away and wanted to surprise my wife guess the surprise was on me.
