I love this place been coming here for many years but recently an Arabic cashier would be very rude and fight you for the simple things. A few weeks ago I got my order wrong and I came back to get my food right but when I got there and told them my food was wrong the Arabic Cashier looked annoyed and he looked like he didn't want to take my order. Came back again thinking everything changed but the man looked annoyed that customers appeared, I can't ask for the smallest thing without him getting annoyed or mad. I've been a loyal customer for many years but won't be coming here anymore :(

Great Italian Beef. get the hot peppers. Chopped cheese is delicious. Fresh fries. if you wan a real Chicago pizza puff. This is the spot. Food cook fresh so you will wait a bit. but work it. Parking lot is small. Only downer.

If you want amazing feel good food for an amazing price this is the spot. I got 20wings w/fries, Philly cheesesteak steak w/ fry and drink and an order of jalepeno poppers for $40. I was also impressed with the pappys staff. They were happy, energetic, and straight to the point with taking my order and you could most definitely tell they were enjoying their time working while making my food. The food tastes GREAT. Definitely recommend this spot 👍👍

The food is usually good! But it was a big problem with the cashier/ clerk! He is very disrespectful and inconsiderate. That guy make the Atmosphere feel very unpleasant he doesn't possess customer service skills and if you have any issues with food service etc. He will fight with customers if the customer is dissatisfied with food or service. I suggest you speak to his superior by the name of Alfredo) Alfredo is the reason that ill be back again to get that delicious food. The cashier/ clerk should be terminated due to his disrespect towards those customers who regularly dine there for good food. Alfredo is a very nice manager who oversees this restaurant.

Usually, they aren’t so careless with their orders or deliveries, but unfortunately, it looks like I wasn’t so lucky today. Not only was their Philly cheesesteak meat burnt, but they actually served it through delivery and it made me sick. not only is that a reflection on this restaurant service, but it’s also a reflection on what they’re cooking with because I could taste the uncooked grill with the burnt meat. I won’t ever be ordering from them again nor will I ever be eating at this restaurant it’s unfortunate that their service has come to this.

Pappy's take out has very good food & the service is considerate. Very congenital staff & convenient location off North Broadway & 94. Go check ✔️ it out.

The best Philly steak sandwich I’ve ever had! Walked in. First time. Ordered my sandwich and within a few minutes it was ready. So fresh and delicious!!!! I came to Minneapolis from Wisconsin to see a show and decided to try Pappys! It was amazing ! They give you generous portions also !!!

Always made when you order. Nothing sits around under heat lamps. It's all pretty good food. The 6 piece chicken finger basket was enough to feed me for 2 dinners.

Definitely a no frills place that is going to give you a massive bang for your buck. It's typically pretty busy on the inside, but I opted for Pappy's for delivery this past go around. It's your regular, run of the mill inner city spot with your staples (fried foods, gyros, cheesesteak, etc). The main difference is that they do it RIGHT. I opted for the meat lovers sandwich (gyro, Italian beef, and steak) and a Reuben to split with a friend. The meat lovers sandwich ($12) was amazing and an abundant amount of food. Elite gardinera really pops the sandwich off as well. The Reuben ($8) was suitable, but not spectacular. Rather than 1000 island, they opt for mustard and mayo for the sandwich, giving it a mighty different taste. One final thing of note: The last time I went into Pappy's in person (maybe 4 months ago or so) the dining room was STILL closed due to Covid. The parking lot is small and cramped during busy times as well, so be prepared to potentially have to park on the streets.

The charming OPEN sign spray painted on the wall drew me in. The decor was welcoming and the restaurant smelled nice. Impressed with the extensive fish menu

Food and service was great. Ordered the gyro. Tomatoes were mushy as I seen in previous review.but they really need to spend a few pennies on cleaning this place up. I know the neighborhood isnt the best. But that should not reflext on the Restaurant. Dinned inside. Table was so sticky I ended up throwing more then half of my meal away!!. Please clean it up. Little paint. Floor cleaner.

I used to go to Pappy's a lot when they first opened, which was when I worked at a Non Profit on the Northside. Not much has changed about the place. I forgot about them, so my gf wanting to stop by to get some fried catfish, reignited my memory for when I too crave fried fish or wings. Now they're back on my radar. Ambiance: Similar to many other restaurants in the neighborhood.. deep fried fish and chicken, etc, they also have sandwiches/subs. Located on Washington and Broadway, adjacent to 94W, there is street parking and a lot... that I honestly don't know how to get to, if you're coming from West heading East. I think you can get in easily if you're comign from NE, if you slow up before reaching Washington. There are about 8 tables (booths) to sit at. Service: The girl who took my order was nice. The food came out fairly fast. Food; My wings were jammin and the fries were good. I'll have to go back and try their fish and Italian beef.

Stopped in here thinking I was gonna get a Chicago Dog, and was surprised to see a nice variety menu with WINGS! Yes! I promptly ordered the 20 wing combo to go, and added a large Greek Salad. All that for a little more than $20. I was pretty psyched. The pricing is a little more than Wings 'n Things across the highway at 4th St Saloon, but Pappy's is a BIT more civilized with actual seating and a real restaurant feel, albeit a tad small. The guy at the counter was nice, friendly, and very efficient. Food pickup and the cooks are another matter though. They ran out of cole slaw, but they didn't bother to mention that, even though the menu board PLAINLY stated that all wing orders comes with fries, cole slaw, and bread. Well when I picked up my order after about a 15min wait (I understand cause they actually had to fry them suckers), I inquired about the side items. He informed me that they were out of cole slaw, and did not apologize. The cook proceeded to argue with me that my order wasn't SUPPOSED to come with bread, and that the menu was wrong. WHAT?? It wasn't until his supervisor berated him and he reluctantly grabbed bread from a loaf high up in the shelves and gave me a box of bread. Mind you I'm not a huge fan of Wonder Bread, but it's the principle of the thing you know. Well the food was nice. Not the best, but not the worst. Fries were limp, but edible. Wings were the, "they'll do" variety. So the moral of this story is that typical North Side drama prevails. I must have thought I was over south for a minute. Don't you make the same mistake and have unrealistic expectations of service. Go to Wings 'N Things and call it a day. I'll man up and come back to Pappy's for a Chicago Dog or a Philly, and knock my expectations down a few notches I'll be a'ight.

This place is solid! If you want a ton of food for a low price go here. I got the fried chicken with the catfish nuggets and it was fried to perfection.

I was craving a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich at 9pm on a Sunday evening. The spot closer to where I live was of course closed by this time, so I decided to go on Yelp to see if any other places were still open. Pappy's showed up at the top of the list, and although I had driven past this place many times in the past, I never really knew what they had to offer. I'm glad I got to check this place out because now I have a go-to for those evening cravings. I got the Italian beef sandwich combo (comes with a drink and fries) with the hot peppers on the side and dipped. Was great! We also got the Chicago dog as well, and all of the food split between two of us was the perfect amount to satisfy our hunger. Will come back again soon to try the other items... maybe stop by for breakfast too!

So I am very aware that this place is Chicago style and I was not expecting to have actual Chicago food. However, the word Chicago should be completely removed from the name period. There are certain things that you can not skimp on when it come to the Chicago dog. Such as the hot dog itself, the pickle spear, the peppers, and if you like fresh tomatoes. Why this was super wrong: The hot dog itself was wrong. It was one of those skinny little hot dogs you get from Aldi :( The tomatoes were mush. Like almost ketchup. which we know is all wrong lol. The pickle had absolutely no "meat" on it. This killed it for me and I will not order from here again.

Watched the girl behind the counter pick her nose as she took our order and didn't realize until after we ate that she was the same one who delivered the food to the table. Probably not going to be back. Food was OK.

A little hole in the wall type of place, but really amazing food. I usually get the gyro's and they do not disappoint! Will return to this location for the great food they provide. They are also super quick if you need to drop in over your lunch break.

How do you write a restaurant review of a place that doesn't give you the food you paid for. If you want to throw your money into a vacuum be sure to order from here. No even an apology? Don't order from here.

Very convenient to I94 to get off and on. The cashier recommended the gyro as their best seller and it tasted excellent. The fries were thick-cut and the seasoning was good. Service was poor, as we waited for over 25 minutes for our food and it wasn't that busy. As to the atmosphere it was a dive and in a sketchy neighborhood - having a bit of a true south side of Chicago feel that was borderline for comfort with my family, even on Sunday afternoon. The clientele made a fairly major turnover while we waited for our food - with several college-aged boys leaving after they started eating. We ate rather quickly and left. On the walk back to our car, my son and I were propositioned by a couple of ladies driving out of the parking lot after they nearly ran us over. Would I go back - yes if during the day and I wasn't alone (gyro was great) and no if dusk or later...

I wanted to try something new and got my feelings hurt. I ordered fries and got fries that look like mashed potatoes. I ordered catfish that ended up being soggy and half tasting stale. The two stars are for the hush puppies and chicken that turned out okay. I will try this location one more time to see if this is a isolated incident or a consistent and expectation. For now though, not a recommended option.

Good mf cheesy beefs! I can't order anything else. Chicago dog looks proper too. It's a hole in the wall for sure. But the food is good even if the service isn't.

As a person who was born and raised in Chicago, I can attest that Pappy's is the real thing. I have had their Maxwell Street Polish and it was as if I was back in the Windy City. The Chicago Dogs are also true to form. They even have the Chicago staple of "Pizza Puff". It is hard to try new things because these old standards are just so good. The only downside is the parking. I would suggest you skip the lot, as you may never get back out on Broadway and park on Washington and walk around.

5 stars because they are what they say they are - a regular Chicago takeout place, greasy spoon, Vienna beef, greasy the way I like it. You don't like it? Shut up! Pepsi, not coke. All the way to the pizza puff. Reminds me exactly of back home and all the corner joints you find everywhere. Even the neighborhood looks like an exit off the Eisenhower expressway. Thanks for dipping my beef the way it should be! You guys are the bomb. See you again soon.

Pappys is the place to go when you want your fill of greasy goodness. Their menu consists of gyros, fried chicken/wings, cheese curds, cheese steaks, and chicago-style dogs. Seriously delicious. My coworker and I came here yesterday after months of driving by here, and I'm awfully glad we did. The interior is very clean, but small. They have a pretty large menu, but we ended up both ordering the #5, which is two Chicago dogs, fries, and a pop for $5.99. The hot dogs were plump and juicy, and I loved their fries. They were obviously right out of the fryer and had some seasoning salt on them, and were made more delicious by the mysterious hot sauce on the table. This made for a very quick and tasty lunch spot...they had something called a gyro burger that I made a note to try next time, as well as these cheese wedges that the guy at the counter said were wedges of fried mac n' cheese. What a treat. Note: When we went, they had a board outside announcing a special that said 'Any omelet w/ hash browns $2.99.' They have gyro omelet that sounds really tasty, so I definitely want to hit that during breakfast. Actually, I peeked at their breakfast menu and the whole thing sounds like an excellent value. They also have other specials that seem to rotate, so I think it just depends on the day.

Very convenient stop on a drive home when I definitely didn't want to do any cooking. I ordered the chicken Philly. It was definitely filling and tasty, but a bit messy. The restaurant itself was clean and not as sketchy as I was expecting it to be. I'd go back again for some quick take out.

Woke up this morning craving a hot dog and Pappys hit the spot. Not only was I completely shook by the low prices, but the dogs were phenomenal as well as the fries which came in the combo deal. The staff were extremely friendly as well and and helped me decided on my second item, buffalo wings. AMAZING decision. While I waited, other customers even gave me high five, so friendly. And of course, on my way out the door, a little boy who had just walked in, goes back out to hold the door for me. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. What more could you ask for? Pappys is the place to be.

I had the Philly cheese steak, fries and cheese curds and all three of them were a hit! The Philly cheese steak was so juicy and full of flavor! Yummm!!! It was my first time eating here and I will return again and again!

This place is a great heart stopper location for food. You are guaranteed to get your share of great for the week, I ordered the gyro burger boy was it tasty as the grease dropped off my face. I thought oh well, one life to live. Note that the parking really sucks but they do accept Amex and there is a fair amount of seating.

Oh my gosh this place was so good! I was craving southern food and a friend suggested this place. I put in a take out order for a small group of people 1 1/2 hours before I was to pick it up. It was ready just as I got there, right on time. We all had catfish, shrimp, okra and hushpuppies, along with the fries that came with plates. It was all hot and crispy and very good. The hushpuppies were the best Ive ever had. We all had our fill and had a ton of leftovers. I will definitely be back.

Pappy's is a great little hole in the wall with Gyros, Phillys, Burgers, Wings, and Fish. I can personally vouch for the utter deliciousness of the Gyros and Burgers. And fries; BEST FRENCH FRIES EVER! Seriously. I will come here just for the fries. The atmosphere is small, Chicago gyro joint. The prices are very reasonable for what you get.

Found this place by mistake driving home, (we are not from Minnesota)wasnt sure what to expect when we stepped inside, I ordered 4wings w/fries and coleslaw for 5$(jackpot) and my father ordered the gyro sub with fries for about 7$, we got home and ate, had no complaints about the food, will try again during our visit, prices are reasonable

Being old enough to have eaten Maxwell street polish hotdogs on Maxwell street MANY times, I'm always looking for the experience again. After eating here, I'm still looking. Not that the food is bad. It's quite good. Just not authentic. Well, the Italian Beef is damn close, and damned good; and the Maxwell is also good. The Chicago style polish, while tasty shouldn't be fried or grilled. It should be steamed/boiled which gives it a different flavor and texture. If I was in the area I would stop in again.

The May 22 tornado in North Minneapolis has shut down Fire 'n Ice (temporarily, I hope), so I was in search of another local cheese-steak. I have gone by Pappy's several times and watched the progress as they turned this rundown building that formerly hosted a Liquor store into Pappy's. When I saw they opened, I made a mental note to check it out. The parking lot is super small, room for seven cars. There is parking on Washington for about four cars on the street, unless you want to go for a bit of a walk. This is a super busy intersection at Broadway and Washington, with lots of traffic from vehicles entering or exiting I-94. The interior appears to be able to hold quite a few people. Not too cramped booths fill the interior and is probably a favorite among the lunchtime crowd in this predominately industrial area. I ordered my food and was offered the option to add tomatoes, lettuce and mayo for an additional $1,25. What? Ruin a good cheese-steak? NO WAY! My order was up in about 5 minutes. The 6" cheese-steak was huge, I couldn't even pick it up without risk of dumping out the filling. The bun was a standard sub roll, nothing special. The steak, grilled with green peppers and onions had a thin amount of provolone on the bottom. The taste was good, but I prefer more cheese on my roll. The bread stayed dry, which I don't know that it is a bad sign, but I almost think that one of the best parts of a good cheese-steak is that the juices get sopped up into the bread. Ultimately, it was a really good sandwich. Next time I will need to ask for extra cheese. FYI: Other menu items include chicken wings, fish, Italian Beef sandwich, hot dogs, gyros.

Listen, I'm no Chicagoan, so I cannot attest to whether or not their food is genuinely Chicago-style. What I can tell you is that these guys know how to throw together a damn good sandwich. Before today, I had eaten here a couple of times, both times ordering the same thing: Italian Beef Sandwich, dipped, hot peppers, American cheese. That is, until today. Today I got a little funky and got the Italian Combination, with everything else the same. KA-BOOM. Oh, so tasty. Savory beef and sausage, gooey cheese, pickley-hot peppers and soggy bread... Not a bad way to spend a lunch break. I might spend the rest of the afternoon slumped over in a food-coma, but I really don't give a hoot. My Tips: -Go for the Italian Beef or Italian Combination (Beef + Sausage) -GET IT DIPPED! -Don't expect to have clean hands. -Set aside the rest of your day to lay around in sweatpants

I have been going to Pappy's since they opened on Maryland and White Bear. The original Pappy's used to be "Cedar Machine", and the only thing that could be better than kick ass racing engines, is amazing Chicago Style food! It actually makes guys having to drive 60 miles, to where the engine shop relocated, a total worthwhile trade! The Washington Ave. location is no different, having excellent food and service. That said, everyone has their favorite place for that one favorite dish, and Pappy's is no exception. I know guys who come from 60 miles just to get "their Philly". I, personally, love the Philly/gyro mix. The sandwich is ridiculously good. Order extra dill sauce, because it's so big! I've tried almost everything, the fish, the Maxwelll, and all the different dogs, and I'm always delighted. I've watched Pappy's become instant cult classics and I hope they open more locations further north! (Hint, hint Alex!) As far as folks who have had a less than exceptional experience, if you're not 100% satisfied with something, don't hesitate to let them know! They will fix you right up on the spot. I'm always a little amazed when I read a poor review, yet the author did not make an attempt at letting the restaurant make things right. Pappy's, your mom said to skip the wimpy sub and get yourself some real food!

Drunk food - deep fried sides, hot sandwiches, hot dogs, fried fish, and gyros. The cheesesteak, fries, hush puppies, and hot dog were all good. Lots of season salt on everything. I got a "mafia steak sandwich" or something like that was a sandwich with thin steak, onions, peppers, and lots of melted cheese. It was good, but part of the steak was a bit fatty and hard to chew through. Skip it and go for the cheesesteak. We also got the cheese wedges because I thought they were cheese curd. Oh, no. They were fried mac and cheese. Sober Dr O thought they were very good. Drunk Dr O would probably get 3 orders. My biggest complaint is that there's too much stuff on the menu. They could probably remove their 10 worst items and still have a lot of variety.

What drew me in to Pappy's was that they used to have a sign that said two eggs, hashbrowns, toast $2.99. The sign is down and so is the deal. The prices have gone up but you still get a decent amount of food for the price. My one complaint is the volume of the music near the register where you order. You may find yourself having to repeat your order multiple times to make sure the person at the register got it right. The food - where else in town can you get a three egg omelet with meat, veggie and cheese with hashbrowns and toast for $5.99? And the food is good. Not write home to your momma good but still pretty good. There are plenty of breakfast options too. The interior of the place is worn, which is not surprising. I can't imagine a lot of people dine in here. The guys in the kitchen know what they are doing and they do it well. Just be aware that the parking lot in front of the place is postage stamp size (four spaces incl. one handicapped spot) so be warned.

We've eaten here several times now. It's reasonably priced, and the service is quite a bit better than similar joints nearby. There's often a special which is ten whole wings plus fries for $6.99, and the wings are pretty good. The fries are dusted with Season-All, which gives them a nice flavor. The ribeye steak is actually two thin seasoned slices of steak. The flavor was okay, and it was reasonable for the price. The fried okra is so-so, but we like the jalapeno poppers--be sure to ask for blue cheese dressing instead of marinara. If you get takeout, be sure to grab napkins and forks from the supply near the drinks fountain, and they won't add anything in the way of condiments if you don't ask. Update: We've now had the Italian beef sandwich, which is available in several styles. The beef was juicy and very flavorful. It was served on a toasted roll, which added a nice crispness. Very good!

I went to Pappy's for the first time a couple weeks ago - and I'm glad I did! I've driven by quite a few times and have always been interested, but it's not really in a part of town that I frequent. But, it is just right down broadway so, what the heck? The parking lot is small and we had to park on the street a little ways away, but for Friday around noon I wouldn't expect much. The line inside was about 4 people long when we got in so we waited for maybe less than 10 minutes to get through, but it gave us a chance to look at the menu. Luke decided on the buffalo chicken philly combo and I got the regular cheesesteak philly combo with hot peppers. After ordering, we waited (sort of awkwardly) around for maybe 10 minutes but the order came up hot, fresh, and a pretty good portion! Luckily, a table opened up right as we were about to get our food. We were going to opt to eat in the car, but the sandwiches were so hot - heat hot - and messy that you sort of need a table or bench to rest your food on. The menu has a large variety of items none of which are healthy options and I wouldn't expect anything less. The only reason I didn't give Pappy's 5 stars is the parking lot is small, and the interior needs a little remodeling. It would make sense to have a more cafeteria style eating area with a couple of booths for families. It seems like this place is frequented by singles and when busy the seats will fill up fast because it's mostly booths. Overall, the food was delicious, almost TOO hot but we were in a hurry so we shoved it in and didn't let it cool, and I'm excited to go back.

I tried Pappy's for lunch today on a suggestion from a friend. Holy buckets was it delicious! I figured for my first time I should go with the staple, dipped Italian Beef with hot peppers and I added swiss cheese. I actually brought it back to my office since it was so close and within minutes had co-workers swarming around me asking where it was from. The bread was deliciously soggy and stuffed full with thinly sliced, spiced to perfection meat. I really enjoyed the seasoning on the fries as well. I'm excited to go back and try the gyros, they looked epic! I will be in a food coma for the rest of the day, but it was totally worth it.

They have really good chicken wings not salty like other places just a really good taste. The place is very clean but they messed up my order and were not willing to fix it after there mistake so check you food before you leave otherwise yummy food.

Well there goes the diet. Having a place serving a very good Italian beef and sausage combo near where I live is not doing any good for my waistline. They dip it and serve it with hot peppers just like in Chicago. The chicken wings are good too, nicely fried without being greasy. Very clean inside. My only complaint is the AC which wasn't working well in the 100 degree heat.

I've eaten at Pappy's several times. Being from Texas, it's an absolute treat to have excellent catfish and fried okra available! The hot dogs (chili cheese and Chicago style) are scrumptious! The philly is not shy on meat and the prices are amazing. Now that they are available on BITE SQUAD, I am super excited! We've had it delivered a couple of times and it's nice and hot every time! Thank you Pappy's and Bite Squad for making a southerner happy!

Very clean! I stopped into this place as I was biking by the other day. It reminded me a lot of places I'd eat with my dad growing up. I ordered a Chicago style hot dog and cheese curds. GOOD eating! I am planning on going back and bringing my dad this time. I want to try their chicken wings and a few other things on the menu. The space itself is nice, clean atmosphere. Nice set up. It feels very newly decorated and fun.

OK so Dec 26th 2012 was my first visit here at Pappy's... Ive been on the hunt for a good true Gyro and Italian Beef sandwich's like that is made in Chicago my hometown like most of you are that I seen here so far... I can honestly say that I am a fan now after just finding them by accident yesterday!!! Ambiance so reminds of a typical Chi-town shack A+ there, I ordered the Italian Beef combo w/American cheese and dipped, no peppers the way I like it, and the fries was a great portion.... Nice and crispy and hot too not salted, just fine by me so I can add the salt as I wanted to taste... As my normal way of eating a combo I ate the fries first as they usually get cold, i dunno call it a pet peeve but that is me lol... I took my time eating them an they stayed hot which I was shocked so I knew this so far was a good sign that I found a great place and had to get home yelp about! Ahhh so now I dive into the Italian Beef sandwich that was dipped in Au-juice w/American cheese on the bottom for my selection.... OK so after unwrapping the sandwich like a prize lol, it was nice an sopped up the roll like a true IBS should be, my mouth instantly watered mmmmmmm!!!! OK so i got a dark secrete to admit here I'm a knive and forker lol, yes I use utensils... So I cut into the sandwich with out a problem and take that bite and in heaven, it was perfect!!! I had also ordered a Gyro to go, I had fallen in love them since Rockford IL thanks in part to Uncle Nicks there lol.. I had that today on December 27th 2012 for lunch and it was still fresh as it was great, I loved toppings of lettuce, tomatoes, and the fact that they put the cucumber sauce on the side was perfect!!! The meat was tender and next time I go to Pappy's I will just get a Gyro combo and eat that there mmmmm....... So my final recommendation is that you just have to go to Pappy's and try them yourself as for me I love it and satisfied that I found a great place to go to for my cravings for Hometown food.... I came here to try their Chicago Italian Beef sandwich. It's your typical street corner beef and hot dog spot in Chicago. They ship the bread and beef up from Chicago which make it a little more expensive than in Chicago area but at least that makes it taste right. This place is a hole in the wall place; not anywhere you would want to take a date. If I was in the area again and wanted a hot dog or beef I would stop in. But if I'm gona make the drive I will go to Chris & Rob's first

I live near Pappy's and decided to try it one night for takeout. The staff was friendly when taking my order, and the service was expedient. They were happy to explain the menu items. The food was delicious! I got the polish sausage, Italian beef, cheese curds, jo jos, and hush puppies. The polish sausage was huge, and all of the sides were hot and delicious! I paid about $22 for all of the items, and there were plenty of leftovers. Give Pappy's a try!

Take a trip to The North Side for a taste of Chicago-style heaven. This place is one of the hidden gems of Minneapolis. The food is awesome and inexpensive. Cheese steak sandwiches, Chicago dogs, catfish, cheese curds, burgers, etc. Your suburban friends will be too scared to go because its off Broadway and 94. Too bad for them. More for you.

Food is awesome, need to ignore that its not the cleanest place and the bathroom is out of order.

Very small, busy, and great food. Whoever works the fryolater should get a Nobel prize. Awesome catfish and shrimp.

Ghetto at best. GREAT service from the cashier. She was soo patient with everyone. The food wasn't that great, the beans in the chili weren't cooked, the dog was cold, everything was just stale and bland even with the cup of cheese sauce on a single dog... It's outside and inside that this place makes you feel unsafe. I guess that this is the place to go if you want to buy weed on Washington Blvd.

Food took 25 minutes to get to table. Upon getting food I had some jalapeño poppers a cheddar beef sandwich and shared some wings and fries. Only had one buffalo wings. The food was mediocre at best the jalapeño poppers we're very plain flavored had very little taste and the same with my sandwich. a bad part of town upon leaving during mid daylight I was offered some by a hooker. Definitely won't be returning.

I was here a couple of weeks ago and was impressed despite the less than desirable location. I got a buffalo chicken philly which was actually quite good. The restaurant is counter service style, but you have no real need for anything else from them once you get your food. We noticed that there is not a whole lot of people sitting and eating, but there is definitely ample seating. Do not be driven away by the location and some of the clientele. The food is very good and if you are looking for a good philly sandwich, this is a place to go!

Food was good if you like it fried. The Philly sandwich was very tasty and big. Good friendly place.

You must try Pappy's!!!! My boyfriend and I discovered this gem a couple of weeks ago and we've Ordered it 3 times since then. The gyros are amazing and the Philly cheesesteak is insane! I've never even really been a huge fan of Philly cheesesteaks but Pappy's is a life changer!

This place is the bomb for Philly sandwiches that melt in your mouth. The fries are great too. Only bad thing is its over by the ghetto. Even with it being ţhere, we go ţhere for lunch monthly cause its great food.
