Our favorite breakfast spot in Crested Butte! They have a ton of great options on the menu, all the classics and then some incredible unexpected dishes. Today I ordered the Potatoes Paradise, and I always add an egg along with the oh-so-delicious pork green chili to it. The Sherpa Chai was spicy and perfect. My husband ordered the eggs, bacon, and a blueberry pancake and he savored every bite. We often order the Eggs Benedict and the eggs are always perfectly cooked. Attentive servers, sunny spots to sit, plus food that arrives hot and quick make this place a staple for our breakfasts out on the town. Angie & her crew are the best!

Google
Small little diner style breakfast place. Cute atmosphere, good food. Please note it is rather small and only has one waitress, so wait times for seats, food, and the check were a bit longer than expected. Highly recommend the Mexican coffee!

Google
Highly recommend! Stop at the gift shop next door and grab a great cup of coffee while you wait. Breakfast was sensational, I had the biscuits and gravy…fantastic! Try a breakfast cocktail as well. You won’t regret it. Great service, and loves the old house feel atmosphere!

Google
Outstanding eggs Benedict with corn beef hash. Excellent spicy Bloody Mary as well! Wonderful atmosphere and excellent customer service. Please keep in mind that it is a small, cozy place with limited seating. They are very mindful of delivering the food in a timely manner so do expect a 30 minute wait even if there are open tables or bar seating. Quality over quantity that is well worth the wait!

Stopped by with my sister. I ordered drip coffee and Eggs Benedict with salmon. The coffee was weak, and the sauce on the Benedict tasted off—too sour and even tingled on the tongue. When we asked the waitress about it, she said it was made in-house but couldn’t tell us when. She went to check and came back saying it was fine but still didn’t answer our question. Instead, she just offered to order something else—at our expense. We didn’t finish the food (don’t want to risk the vacation) We paid for everything and left. I wouldn’t recommend this place—better to choose another café for breakfast.

Google
I absolutely love this place! Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, and our server was top-notch. This is our go-to place in Crested Butte for breakfast, and we love sitting on the patio with its gorgeous mountain views. The food is amazing too. I love the huevos rancheros, and their hash browns are perfectly crispy. Highly recommend!

Google
Kinda pricey but gorgeous view from the table! Tasty food. Watch out because the chorizo is made out of pork.

Google
Breakfast at 9:20 on a September Tuesday morning, still need to wait for a while (25 mins) because this is the only breakfast place open in this town. Food is standard, for a small town like this it is satisfying anyway. I liked their salad, lots of veggies, and tasty chicken. The hash brown is a little too moist to our liking. Anyway it was a nice experience.

Yelp
Breakfast our last morning in Crested Butte. We ordered two #4's with French toast, scrambled eggs, one w bacon one w ham. Our companions ordered a #4 w a large blueberry pancake, and a scrambled eggs with hash browns and a biscuit. Two coffees an water all around. Our waitress was prompt friendly and quick!

Yelp
In God's time we may all be so lucky to find a little slice of heaven on earth. My peace has cost me every worldly convenience and comfort, but eventually I landed in Crested Butte and I will shout from this mountain if I never eat another pancake for the rest of my life so help me sweet Jesus please let it be the Maui at Paradise. There's enough banana and nuts in it to make me feel like I'm being healthy, but all that texture is good for my palate and digestion too. Paired up with a Milky Way, I'm levitating, watch me go.

Yelp
Food and service were great. Just a normal Breakfast place to eat at. It had a really great view of the mountains as you ate

Yelp
Get the Maui pancake ! Best pancake ever!!! Also opt for maple syrup not regular 10/10

Yelp
My wife and I had breakfast here and it was a mediocre meal. The staff were great, however the meal was unimpressive. The drip coffee was weak, watery and tasted like an over extracted Keurig k-cup. The portions were stingy, especially the hash browns, which was surprising since potatoes are a cheap ingredient and an easy way to show generosity on a breakfast plate. $2.50 for an extra egg was a bit shocking too. Looking at the pictures of past patron's meals here on Yelp had me excited to try this place. The prices on the menu reflected significant inflation and deflation for the portions we were served. Very sad to see what's happened to this place.

Yelp
Worth the wait! We came on a Sunday for brunch and had an hour wait for 4 people. The food was flavor-packed and delicious. The patio is so comfortable with ample umbrellas and wildflowers. Many had their dogs leashed around the fence sitting by them.

Shan S.

Yelp
Excellent food and excellent service. Make sure you stop by for a hearty breakfast before you get on with your day. The staff work very hard to make sure you have everything you need while being efficient at the same time. Will return.

Yelp
Went here while visiting from out of town and it was perfect. Great views, great staff, amazing food and drinks. Their drink menu was incredible.

Meredith P.

Yelp
Not dog friendly even though yelp says they are. No one on patio and they would not let our dog join us (wanted him outside the fence in the parking lot).

Yelp
Very nice brunch option in town. They have a beautiful patio area that's shaded with trees, and the inside seating has a great view of the mountains. The food was good but unfortunately their pancakes were dry and rough, we couldn't eat more than one bite of it. Their menu is extensive and they have real maple syrup!

Yelp
Me and a few friends went here on a Saturday morning. The place was super busy (35 min wait) and the food was pretty good. It was a little expensive though. I got the #7 basic breakfast (which was biscuits and gravy with hash browns). Everything was pretty delicious! The biscuit was absolutely the star of the show - light and fluffy with a nice taste of butter. I'd go back just to get more biscuits and gravy. The food here was a little expensive, but it is a tourist town. The pancakes are ~$10 and pretty big! The service was decent, our waitress was attentive and nice. The vibe was pretty cool too - all the windows in the front made for great Mountain View's Overall, i might go back here. Would definitely recommend the biscuits

Yelp
We had an amazing breakfast here on Sunday. We arrived a little before 8, and it was fairly quiet/we had options of where to sit. We sat at a table by the windows for two, where there was ample sunshine. We were provided with menus (one entire side is all of their fun beverage creations), and the other side is food. Our server was great, took our drink orders, and then came back for our food order after we had our beverages (I just went coffee, Bob ordered a chai). I ordered the eggs Benedict, which comes with your choice of protein, I went with corned beef hash, and it comes with a very generous portion of hash browns. I love Benedict's for breakfast, because I love love love hollandaise - and this came with a very generous portion of hollandaise that was really good. The hash browns were also really good. We had such a wonderful experience here, with both food and service, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I'm a green chili aficionado so whenever I see Juevos Rancheros on the breakfast menu I have to try it. Paradise Cafe did not disappoint! It's not very spicy but had GREAT flavor! An interesting touch to the meal was fried Chorizo sausage. Not in the green chili but sprinkled over the eggs. Very good. Wife had the basic two eggs, bacon and hash browns. She really enjoyed it. The place is small but a great atmosphere for breakfast. Rachel at the bar was great! Always a smile and very friendly. I had a Salty dog and the wife had a bloody. Both were above average. Strong pour and a good BM recipe. The view is outstanding looking at at Mt. Crested Butte. We did not have a wait but I'm sure it's worth it if you do. Visit Rachel and tip her well!

Yelp
Truly enjoyed our time at Paradise Cafe while in CB! A great local spot with wonderful and friendly staff that truly care about their community and educating others about why CB is so wonderful. There is a lot on the menu but we settled for pancakes and huevos rancheros per the waitresses recommendation- she was not wrong!! I also truly enjoyed my Bloody Mary with wonderful snacks. We went around 9am and it was busy but they made room for us so we had no wait :)

Alicia L.

Yelp
Wow!!!! This place is DELISH! Excellent service, and the food was outstanding! It is small and intimate and adorably mountain town. Did I mention how amazing the food and service was?! Incredible-I'll be back!!!!!
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
Food and service are excellent, it's very popular so you almost always have to wait for a table, but it's worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
If servers like Nellie are going to rudely scold me for ordering takeout because it uses plastic then the restaurant should offer eco friendly boxes and compostable forks. Do not scold your patrons for following your protocol of getting takeout. The restaurant offers plastic, not your patrons. And as a logical note-- it's not entirely on the individual to reduce plastic waste. Our real enemy is corporate greed, not each other! Maybe try being kind. She was rude to me from the start.

Yelp
We were a group of 11 with 3 young children had a yummy lunch on Thursday and came back for Sunday breakfast. Everyone loved their meals and friendly and efficient service. Only negative is restaurant is small and is very popular. Had a 40 minute wait for Sunday breakfast with 8:30 arrival. Recommend arriving by 8 am!

Yelp
Prepare to wait for a seat as this place is really small but we thought it was worth it. The place is nice inside, and has a good view of the Crested Butte so it's a little scenic too. The hash browns were memorable so I'd recommend getting you some of those haha and I really liked how their biscuits and gravy just had better flavor than most places. Service was great too, thanks to Angie. She was busy the whole time we were there but still friendly and nice to talk with. Will definitely come back when I'm in town again :)

Yelp
Didn't even make it to try the food. We walked in, were told to wait about 10 minutes while the hostess texted a long list of people to see if they would show. 20 minutes later she still did not take down our name and took down names of people after us. She was scrambling to make more text messages to see if people would show and take down names of new people coming through the door. . It was crowded in that little space and just chaos. Seats at the bar looked like they had been open well before we got there and were still open the 20+ minutes we stood there waiting. We could have had our entire meal before they filled those spots. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. Too bad because the food looked good.

Kayln P.

Yelp
Really neat place! Food was great - Service was good and the screwmosa is super tasty

Jacqueline

Yelp
There was a wait, but the hostess was very sweet and got my father in law a chair as he couldn't stand that long. Once seated service was quick. We had bloody Mary's, juevos rancheros, omelette, French toast, and a breakfast sandwich. It was all great and we will definitely be back next time we're in CB.

Eric K.

Yelp
breakfast was excellent and so was the service. the ingredients in the omelette tasted very fresh. can't wait to return.

Yelp
A local Crested Butte experience that was impressive. A cozy environment with delicious food and local artwork on the walls. The portions were very filling and delicious. I like my omelette and this one was filled with ham and cheddar. The amount of dice ham was impressive. It was so good that we end up returning to Paradise Café the next day, or last day of vacation. You can find locals and hear their stories about the cute town in the middle of the mountains. After eating my meal I walked closer to an art piece that was on the other side of the room. Two locals seating by the picture without hesitation shared details about the pictures and the artist. Then pointed out the photographer was sitting by the bar. I couldn't pass the opportunity to have a quick chat with Dusty. He shared his passion and inspiration on his work. Definitely a place to go back next time I visit CB.

Yelp
The food was very good. Well cooked and well seasoned. I was quite pleased with the dining room as well. Quaint, quiet, intimate, and classy. The server was attentive to our needs as well as quick to check in to address our needs. I thought the food was slightly overpriced, but it is 2023 and prices are rising everywhere. All in all, excellent option for breakfast before a day on the slopes.

Kristi C.

Yelp
Friendly staff, best breakfast ever! The whole fam loved it. Very yummy food. The whole menu is great, you just can't go wrong.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Food was great both times we ate here while in Crested Butte. There can be a wait on the weekends, but we got there around 8 and had a 10 min wait. They are friendly and keep the coffee cup filled! Would be my go to place if we were in the area.
google avatar

Jessie C.

Yelp
First thing you notice is the long wait. Understandable given the circumstances but it's kinda funny seeing everyone stuffed in the front waiting for their tables. The wait was at least 45 minutes.... I'm a huge fan of brunch, and Paradise Cafe did not disappoint. I got a hash skillet and was able to substitute some of the toppings for my own choice in toppings so that was nice! Think we ordered Eggs Benedict, Eggs Paradise, Potatoes Paradise and Migas? Not sure but they were yummy.

Carson K.

Yelp
Great breakfast place! Eggs Benedict were off the charts and such a cool design inside. Our waitress was great and very attentive, will definitely be back when we r in town again!
google avatar

Lyubov L.

Yelp
Such a popular and awesome place to eat in Crested Butte. Food was very delicious and staff is very attentive. Though there's probably shortage of the staff, so we had to wait for awhile to get sitted, then to get a menu, and ages for food.
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
When it comes to breakfast and brunch, a series of standard options and good coffee in a nice setting is all I need. The staff at Paradise Cafe were excellent. Eggs, French toast, corn beef hash and biscuit were all delicious! I'd highly recommend it.

Yelp
Paradise Cafe is one of those spots in Crested Butte everyone and their mother recommends. COVID or not, there's going to be a line of people. And although the restaurant was quaint and charming, our experience was mediocre at best. Long lines await you, especially on a weekend. Obviously things are a little different right now due to COVID, so you can't fault a place on certain things. However, I think they may have been short-staffed the day we dined with them. Lots of straight faces and brief responses from employees that seemed to be stressed and running around. Food-wise, we all kept it pretty simple with our breakfast orders. I think that may have been our mistake. Many reviewers praise the cinnamon rolls and jumbo pancakes. Unfortunately those don't float my boat, so I went with one of the egg breakfast platters. Eh, it was fine. Seemed to be thrown together without much thought. If I were to return, I'd splurge on something heavier. It did the job. It just wasn't a memorable meal. Wish we had the same amazing experiences others have had!
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Awesome spot! Was perfect for a quick filling breakfast before a big hike. The ingredients were fresh and the staff was very sweet. We absolutely loved the pancakes here and still talk about them all the time. 100% will be returning when I'm back in the area.
google avatar

Mary Kate O.

Yelp
The long Sunday morning wait was totally worth it. Everything was perfect from the biscuits & gravy to the smoothie to the kids pancakes! Inside was a little hot/stuffy so we were so excited that an outdoor table became available. We won't bother looking up any other breakfast spots if we ever roll back through Crested Butte.
google avatar

Jon M.

Yelp
Went here for brunch had a forty minute wait for a table. Sat on outdoor patio which was very pleasant. Atmosphere inside was noisy and could use an upgrade. Waitress was very nice and helpful. I ordered the Three egg omelette which I enjoyed eating. Would most definitely eat here again. Parking might be a small issue.
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
Every time I come into town, I have to have my Paradise Cafe Maui Pancakes! It's hard to find a good combination of sweet & healthy pancakes, but this place has done it. The biscuits & gravy are incredible too--tastes like they just came out of grandma's kitchen. The only downside to Paradise Cafe is that it always seems to be busy and there's a decent wait to get in--because of this, the staff can also be quite busy. However, it's a staple restaurant for me in Crested Butte and I will keep coming back!
google avatar

Hande J.

Yelp
You can't forget everything sitting in this beautiful place. And the food is always good, the service is always with a smile. One of the few places in CB I look forward to visiting every year.
google avatar

Addison L.

Yelp
Nothing is homemade and it shows. We were told 30-45 for a table and it was over an hour. Then we were seated for 10 minutes before anyone came by. After all that the service was still bad. Food is below average. Don't waste your time here
google avatar

Ben S.

Yelp
We had a limited time in Crested Butte and we spent more than two hours here. It was crowded, the tables were so tightly spaced that the staff would run into me regularly when passing by. They were understaffed and it was quite expensive. The food was good and the servers were trying to cope as best they could. They were friendly but, it was just not a great experience due to some operational difficulties. Plan for 2-3 hours.
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
Hard to write a review on this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the prices reasonable. But the service was entirely lacking. It took us 45 minutes to get a table on a midday on Wednesday and 90 minutes to get a bite of food. Also, not dog friendly. Our 15 year old nearly blind and deaf chihuahua was not welcome on the brick patio. He had to be tied outside the patio fence..... We won't go back.
google avatar

Irina R.

Yelp
This place is amazing: everything is super fresh and their menu has something for everyone. Sometimes I struggle when the menu has too many choices but Paradise Cafe makes it so easy to pick as they have pretty unique dishes that don't have too many ingredients, very straightforward and tons of healthy alternatives. My friend and I got there around 7:30 am before the hike, and the place was just started to fill up. As we were leaving, there wasn't a single open spot, and people were waiting. Paradise cafe is pretty big and has indoor and outdoor sitting area. The food was delicious and perfect for a long beautiful hike! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a wonderful start to their day!

Aj R.

Yelp
So amazing that we went here every morning of our extra long weekend getaway! Definitely worth the wait!
google avatar

Olivia L.

Yelp
Cute little breakfast spot with outdoor patio so the pups could hang out. The patio had a lot of electrical cords running everywhere which felt like a bit of a fire hazard but food and service were good. The maui pancake was delicious, I loved all the flavors and textures from the fruit and seeds. I actually liked mixing my scrambled eggs, sausage, and pancake all together.
google avatar

Renee D.

Yelp
This was a great breakfast/brunch find. It is such a cute spot with a great view of Crested Butte. The food was delicious; I had the Maui pancake and it was the best pancake I ever tasted. We are coming back here. Next time I will take a picture, it was half gone before I even thought of that, I was really hungry
google avatar

Coby W.

Yelp
Wife had huevos rancheros. It was very good. Green chili sauce ranks up there in top two ever had.. I had egg Benedict with ham. And crispy hash browns. The flavors were all there. Place gets busy prepare to wait.. also met the owner. She is awesome but do not except a long conversation with her unless u set at the bar cause that girl is working... we will be back. Best breakfast in crest by far...

Yelp
The glowing reviews were deserved from our experience today. There was a short wait and we sat at the bar . We ordered biscuits and gravy for a breakfast appetizer (ridiculous right !?) but I wanted to try them as I love biscuits and gravy . They were delicious, I can't explain what made them amazing but we didn't have anything left on the plate . I ordered the Sonora and again amazing. Our server offered their homemade salsa and that was good on the top . Not very spicy if that's a concern for anyone . Husband ordered blueberry pancakes and he enjoyed them , maybe not the best he's ever had , however he said there was a generous amount of blueberries included and the homemade maple syrup was great . You could see this was really popular with locals and that to me always speaks volumes !

Joaquim B.

Yelp
Incredible variety of food and drinks. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and pancakes and they were amazing. Service was also amazing with our server checking up on us every chance she could get. Definitely a breakfast place to try out.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
We ate breakfast there today, and it was great! They were short-staffed, which showed. It took 40 mins to get our food after we sat down, and we ate quickly in order to allow someone else to be seated. I believe Angie (according to my receipt) was the one who was hostessing, taking orders, serving food, and bussing tables. However, she was the light of the restaurant. She was so positive and energetic as she served the long line of customers, doing her best to do each task she needed to do. The food was good and gave us the energy we needed for our morning hike.
google avatar

Yelp
Genuinely very split on my experience at this restaurant. The food and drinks - 5 stars! Really cool cocktails and the french toast was tasty without being too sweet or heavy. The atmosphere - also 5 stars! Great bar inside with high ceilings and a wonderful patio (dogs allowed but only on outside of fence). Service - 3 starts...staff wasn't very friendly nor service-oriented, we had to hunt down our check and practically beg someone to take our credit card. We wanted condiments and to order more drinks too, but our waitress was very slow to check in with us. Overall - highly recommend if there isn't a long wait and if you aren't in a hurry.
