Paradise Pizzeria & Ice Creamery

Service was terrible. We waited over an hour for drinks and pizza, and the pizza was burnt when it finally arrived. Our server rarely checked on us unless we stopped her, and although a manager was walking around, no one ever checked on our table. The food was disappointing, the service was poor, and the staff showed little concern for customer service. My family has been coming to Purgatory for over 15 years, and Paradise Pizza has always been our kids’ favorite place to eat. After today’s experience, I’m honestly not sure we’ll return, which is sad to say after so many years of tradition.

For the price, we would expect an edible crust. Our jaws hurt from chewing the plywood crust and we ended up just using a fork to eat the toppings. Our server was kind and helpful. Also, the menu should be more clear on it's pricing. "4 each" makes it sound like you get 4 toppings included. Maybe when you reprint, add in a "$4 per topping". It was not clear. Loved getting to sit outside with the mountains and people watch.

The food took forever to come, and was decent when it finally arrived. It had ok flavor. The servers were always nowhere to be found, and when asked to bring something, they would always forget. The extra wings we ordered never arrived, so we ended up canceling the order. I recommend going to a pizza place outside this resort if you're looking for great pizza and service.

Look at this pizza. It was so sparse and I paid $30 for a small. I added pineapple, green chili, sausage and extra mozzarella. Apparently if you pay the extra $3 you don’t get any cheese on the pizza. Never going back

Amazing staff, great pizza - flavorful and crispy crust. Vibes are always on point and great to hang with friends or family. I read Nelson Greene's review and he's on the money.

Spent the day on the mountain and came here for lunch and dinner. Everything was amazing! All the staff was so friendly and the customer service was on point.

We got here around 6pm and it was 7:30pm and we still hadn’t gotten all of our meals. 2 meals came out before anything else so they were done eating by the time the rest of the parties food came out. We also ordered an appetizer and that didn’t come out so w cancelled it. Mind you there were only 3-4 other tables in here, so it wasn’t busy at all.

I have lived in 9 states and seen 30 countries and this is still the worst pizza I have ever had. Charging money for this should be a federal offense. It’s legitimately a frozen pizza and idk what happened between last year and now but AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Not bad at all. Food was pretty good considering it is at the base of a mountain. The service was surprisingly faster than I expected since it was ordered to go and the place was packed when I picked the pizza up. Pizza was a bit oilier than I like but was very tasty and seemed like the ingredients were fresh. All in all I would have rated it a 3.5 but since that wasn't an option and my kids liked it, I rounded it to a 4.

This place is a joke; imagine all the memes for poor service and this is it. All the low star reviews are true. The place was at 30% capacity and I heard "we're really busy right now" by the servers. 30 minutes to get seated and 2 hours to get thin cardboard crust pizza (and the place is literally called a 'pizzeria'). They brought mac and cheese out really early without the rest being ready so some ate while others just sat with empty plates and then vice versa. Awkward all around.

$38 and and over an hour wait for frozen pizza. But when you're desperate and nothing is open, better go hungry.

"Our ice cream is closed for the night" at 7 pm while the restaurant is open... maybe focus on customer service more? Opening a lid of an ice cream bucket cannot be that hard...

After a long day of skiing we ordered 2 pizzas. The ETA for it being done was 1 hour and 40 minutes. Putting it at almost 8pm for us to eat. Yikes! This being our only option for the night we went ahead and ordered. We got a veggie pizza and a mushroom pizza. The toppings where good but slid right off when trying to eat. The dough was super thick and had no flavor. I'm a crust girl and I couldn't even do it! I recommend eating at the restaurant since there is beer and ice cream which would probably make up for the lack luster pizza LOL. It's also located right in the village and seems to have a good causal vibe inside.

Terrible all the way around!!!Took 2 hours to complete pick-up order, staff unfriendly, and pizza was so disgusting we ended up throwing it away when we finally got it home and tried to eat it.

1 hour and 30 mins to make a single pizza and nobody was in there also got notified that my pizza was ready 20 mins before it was actually ready lol

Waited over 30mins to even be acknowledged by anyone. Two staff members just chatting and texting and I had a line behind me. Got a table and had to walk out after 1hr and half. Never got the food. To make it more obvious, the kitchen door to the dinning area was opened and there were 3-4 staff just talking and laughing and nothing cooking. I was not the only one that walked out. Understand people pay big money to ski and it was an hour and a half I won't get back. I understand is Colorado, but if your weed interferes with your service job, then stay home. To the owners: the public already know you people don't care. But we pay a significant amount of money to ski. NOT to wait almost two hours for a simple Caesar salad and a water.s

Conflicted on this review. It's pretty convenient for pickup, but not so great for dine in. We were one of only a few to dine in and they forgot about us, so we waited forever, then ate the pizza barely warm when I asked about it 45 min later. The crust is not that flavorful and it pretty crusty, not soft and chewy. But it's good if you really want some pizza. The giardiniera (sp?) Is *spicy*!!! You've been warned. Also it's way too expensive for what you get. (Resort prices!) We tried to pickup pizza at Olde Schoolhouse a few days later, but the wait was like 90 minutes so we called here and it was ready in 20. We've done pickup before with no problem, they also have online ordering. So it's really pretty great if you need pickup anywhere near the resort. But I probably would not eat there again without ordering ahead online.

Food was decent. Do not eat here, unless you have over a hour to wait. We had terrible table service.

Came here in the summer. Temperature was perfect and views were killer. We chose to sit outside to eat and watch the zip liners, people on mountain bikes and all the festivities. Friendly service. Very quick! Kids ordered the Pepperoni pizza and scarfed it down. We had the Legends pizza and it was delicious! Kid friendly!

Long wait. Terrible service. Waited over an hour for the pizza AFTER we ordered. Don't eat here if you're hungry. You will starve before you get your food.

This is STRICTLY from my experience (those who ordered differently enjoyed theirs). BBQ chicken pizza should be easy. Instead, this was overdone. Parsley to garnish, chopped tomatoes for some odd reason, and crust that just fell apart (tried to pick up my pizza, the rest of the pizza literally tore away from the crust). The BBQ sauce was barely there, and the chicken was simply horrendous. If I could give it zero stars, I would love to, but sadly, I cannot. So, my advice is you go here? DO NOT GET THE BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA!

Horrible customer service, super expensive. A personal size pepperoni pizza shouldn't cost $16.50. We got two personal sized pizzas, one 16 inch and it was $80. This was also due to the fact that they asked us when ordering what we wanted to tip them. Husband said 10% since we were picking up. When we got there, they had given themselves a 15%+ tip and were too busy to fix their error. Plus, they said it would be ready in 15 minutes, it was 35 minutes. So in the 20 extra minutes he had to wait, they still couldn't fix their overcharging.

Wow I love the pizza here! Crust was a little thick but the toppings were on point and the pesto sauce is amazing with veggies. So many beers on tap to try as well. Gets busy so order in your room and come down to pick it up!

We ate here for dinner while staying at the resort. The service was a little slow, but not bad overall. We ordered the mozzarella sticks which were brought out quickly along with a heaping portion of Caesar salad. The salad was fresh and yummy. The pizza came out soon after. We ordered the supreme and it was perfection. We plan to return before we leave the resort.

Horrendous service and unfriendly bartender woman. I could not read the menu and she would not tell me the price of a cheese pizza when asked. Fortunately another customer overheard and was able to read me the menu. I decided to order a pizza and asked how long it would take. 45 minutes for a simple cheese pizza. I'll save my $28 and patronize something in town. Purgatory is a nice ski resort, but they have yet to figure out food service. Food lines and beer lines are intolerably long. You'll pay dearly (as expected) and be treated like scum.

Never got our food. Sat there 45 minutes to be told our pizza was just put in. Ten minutes later the manager said our pizza was about to be out in. Bad service isn't great. Being lied to is worse.

Extremely rude crossed eyed waitress. She was brunette and about 5'4. We had a VIP pass which she claimed was expired and refused to scan it. The other, kinder waitress then denied what the brunette said and scanned our card(which wasn't expired). Then, the rude waitress proceeded to charge us extra for the ice cream and when we spoke up about it she claimed it was a mistake and we were refunded. The service was great other than the horrible waitress who continued to give us nasty looks, and we got our food on time. Also, the waitress kicked my grandfather with back issues out of an open chair next to us with no explanation. Please fire this cross eyed woman because she is making your restaurant look bad.

A really nice selection of interesting pizzas,Simply delicious pie. And salads are great too. The best quick meal on the mountain

Perfect lunch spot on the mountain- the only down side is EVERYONE knows this too. We went mid week with our family around 1pm and had over a 30 minute wait for 5 people. Not too huge of a deal but you could see they were turning over table after table. The bar was completely packed- it's open seating I think. After we waited, we were seated and greeted quickly. We were able to get our drinks- kids drinks and drinks from the bar with little wait. We just ordered one pepperoni pizza for our table, which ended up being plenty for three little ones and two adults. The pizza took just a bit longer, but obviously, it should if they are making it fresh. It was tasty and not too greasy which was great. We ate, and got out of there. Had we had a little more time we might have done ice cream for the kids but at temperatures of less than 20 degrees outside, I think they were just fine without.

This place has inconsistent food, but they are consistently understaffed which makes the whole experience very unpleasant. It's pretty much the only place to eat dinner. So it doesn't even matter what I write bcs if you're staying at Purg it's your only choice. I took my niece and nephew there for dinner. After standing there watching a bunch of other people get helped while we waited in a "line" that says "order here" the server told us to wait. Then finally asked what we wanted, then told us to order online. I asked how long it would take and was told 45 min. She said we would be notified when ready. We waited an hour. Tried to call multiple times. They just leave the phone off the hook. After an hour of waiting with no notification I went in to check on it. It was ready but completely cold from sitting there for over 30+ min at least. Super lame and not happy with anything this place has to offer. Two thumbs way down. ANSWER YOUR PHONE PEOPLE!

On the last night of our trip we visited this restaurant for dinner. Our waitress gave us snarky looks throughout our visit and an overall bad attitude. after being sat we waited over 8 minutes for our waters, when we stated we needed a moment to decide on our food we were met with more attitude and were left alone for another 10 minutes. we got flavored iced tea that resembled mio flavor shots added to water. when we were ready to order we had to practically flag down our waitress and were met with yet more attitude. the place wasn't busy yet we saw our waitress no more then 3 times. we ordered the meat lovers pizza and a chicken alfredo and what we received greatly failed our expectations. Our pizza was a misshapen oval and our pasta had a glob of white "alfredo sauce" on top with maybe 5 pieces of chicken. The pizza tasted like a freezer burnt frozen pizza and the pasta, though steaming was cold on the inside. While waiting over 40 minutes for our food, our drinks were refilled precisely zero times. My parents were sat after us and ate and left before we even received our food. My sister immediately began to quietly laugh at our misshapen pizza and was met with yet another mean glance. we were left for another 20 or so minutes while waiting for our check. when we were finally able to flag her down she simply said have a good night and nothing else regarding our bill. we found an empty vodka shot bottle behind our salt and pepper shakers. For 'fresh mozzarella' the mozzarella sticks tasted like breaded cheese sticks that'd you get from a cafeteria lunch.

good pizza, terrible customer service. Waitstaff and hostess were very rude and inattentive. Do yourself a favor and just pack a lunch instead of giving this place any money

The customer service here is some of the best I've ever seen. The bartender was super nice. We bought tons of food, and she ended up comping us a couple beers. The service was fast too! We ordered a couple pizzas, several plates of pasta, meatballs, artichoke dip, and a few kids plates. Everything came to our table in less than 20 minutes! For a pizzeria at a ski resort, I couldn't believe it! I definitely recommend you try Paradise Pizzeria rather than the super slow and crowded Purgy's Restaurant right by the ski lift. It's only a 1 minute walk to Paradise, and it's TOTALLY worth it.

Friendly service and great food in a location that can't be beat. We had the mac and cheese which my husband described as the best he'd ever had, along with a pizza. Good stuff all around, highly recommend. This is a perfect spot to sit outside on a nice summer evening and enjoy the view. We came back later for the ice cream and they were great about making it to go.

Wait staff was very accommodating and it's a perfect family setting. Despite the lunch rush, they were able to seat our group of 15 and were quick with the service and the atmosphere was very kid friendly. Ice cream is always a plus too.

Very good food, a bit pricey, and absolutely lousy service! 4 different waiters came to our table at different times, and that was after we had sat at the table for 40 minutes. We asked for water four times before someone finally brought it to us.

Worst food ever... that's all I have to say. Even the pizza is terrible. Chicken Alfredo... green spot on chicken.

KICKING vibes, great music good eats to carb-load after hitting the slopes but man the service environment standpoint is the worst thing I have seen. Coming from a service industry background, you can just tell the dynamic of the workers amongst themselves is garbage. It seems like no one knows what's going on and it's obvious it's from a manager standpoint not being able to get a handle on training/positive reinforcement. The kids working here seem great but they seem to have ZERO direction. I watched my pizza get served two tables over from me and not an eye was batted or a question was asked. Very frustrating just knowing it's honestly no one's fault other than who ever the hell thinks they're 'managing' a business back there in that kitchen. I feel sorry for those workers, they seemed way to stressed in a place that's supposed to be a vacation/fun environment. Not JUST the clients/consumers deserve to be happy, the workers do too.

Pizza is fine but they are the slowest pizza in Colorado. Place an order in the morning then come back and it might be ready for lunch

Waited for an hour for three pizzas. There was only us and one other party in there. The other party got their money back and left after waiting over an hour. At one point we didn't even see any employees anywhere. When our pizza finally came it was terrible. Wasted $80.00 on bad pizza and over an hour of our day. The bartender said, "We're going to make this right for you" and then he just sent the manager over to apologize. Do not go here!

Over an hour wait for 3 pepperoni pizzas. ZERO communication from staff, did get a heart felt apology from a manager sadly my wife and 2 of my boys had already left fed up of waiting. No refund or discount offered on our $72 bill and lost time in park. PS I am not a complainer this is the first review less than a 4 I have ever given. PSS did I mention I had to live with an angry wife/mom and2 hungry boys for the next 2 hours at the park?

Wine selection is pretty good, and I got the Southwest Mac and cheese which was delicious. My husband and son both got pizza that tasted fresh and not too great. Great place!

Open for business and delicious! After an adventure down the mountain on the famous alpine sleds, we hopped in and Susan took great care of us. Awesome salad all around the table and delicious ice cream to boot! Can't wait to come back. Definitely want to get pizza next time!!

We had a great family lunch here today. Between all of us we sampled pizza, Italian salad, gluten free pizzas, calzone and wings. All of the food was great and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend if you are in the area or make it a destination. Items on the menu for all ages.

I really like this place! The servers are so sweet and remember you. The pizzas good, but wish they'd serve hamburger pizza!!! We also had a side salad that was delicious! We've been there several times and are going back. Ol' reliable!

I took my two young daughters after a full day of skiing. As usual they only wanted cheese pizza. When it arrived it had no cheese on half of the slices, just sauce. Unfortunately had to eat it, we couldn't wait for another one to be made.

Excellent food and great service! This place is an awesome place to grab a meal before or after skiing at Purgatory or if you're just in the area. The ravioli is amazing! The pizza is too! The people here are so nice! I highly recommend. The price is a bit high in my opinion but the food definitely tastes great.

This was an awful dining experience. Service was horrible and one waiter was working very hard while another sat at the bar and chatted for two hours. Food took forever and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Pizza was pretty good once we got it, however. This restaurant definitely needs new management. Management takes advantage of the fact that there are so few options for food in the mountain and thus feel no need to offer a pleasant experience.

I've been here twice, the first time the food was ok basic pizza and salad but the service was beyond slow. Now the 2nd time going and the food was edible not ok but not bad, service was ok.

Menu is misleading, choice of 4 toppings usually means you get up to 4 toppings not charged per topping. I wasn't the only one that read it that way. Didn't realize it until after I paid. Manager did not seem to care or make it right. Food was not bad.

Great calzones and a lot of toppings to choose from. It can get busy and service ranged from awesome to horrible. Get to know your waiter and bartender and don't be afraid to call when you need something. Ice cream is local and awesome even in January.

Had the ice cream by far among the best I've had. The whole family really enjoyed it especially since it's all made from local farms and GMO free. We are going back for pizza tonight hopefully it's just as good.

Called this business multiple times without an answer, so we finally decided to go see if they were open and order a pizza. We go to order and the waitress says "we are out of pizza dough and can't make pizza or calzones". So we end up ordering the only other two thing on the menu Mac and cheese and wings. The Mac and cheese was okay. The wings were absolutely horrible soggy and rubbery and still raw so we sent them back. At this time we noticed a few customers at the bar were getting served pizza and these were people who arrived after us. Asked the waitress what's up with them having pizza when they are out she said " that must be gluten free dough" the bartender said " it's not gluten free all we have is personnel pizza dough and dough for calzones if you sit at the bar I could get that for you" how does a pizza place staff not know what type of dough or pizza making ability they have. Worst experience I have ever had and I have been to some lame places. I would not recommend going here ever.
