The best Jamaican restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"A daytime-and-late-breakfast-friendly Jamaican restaurant serving traditional morning options such as jerk chicken omelets, cornmeal porridge, and ackee and saltfish (ackee being a fruit similar to lychee) with toast, while lunch and dinner feature rich, homey mains like oxtail, cow foot, tripe, and curry goat served with classic sides such as rice and peas, boiled green bananas, and yellow yam." - Krista Diamond

The atmosphere was genuinely enjoyable; clean, festive, and inviting. The décor and overall vibe set the right tone for what I hoped would be a positive dining experience. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the environment. From the moment I arrived, I didn’t feel welcomed or acknowledged, which was disappointing given the otherwise pleasant setting. In addition, the restaurant did not have several of the menu items I was interested in. I chose a dish directly from their posted menu only to be told it was sold out, despite it being the beginning of the week and still two hours before closing. This raised questions about preparation and inventory management, and it took away from the overall experience. The potential for a great visit was definitely there...good ambiance and a clean space..but the lack of customer engagement and limited menu availability made the visit less enjoyable than expected. With improvements in service and consistency in menu offerings, this place could truly shine.

Never again. I paid $46.56 for one meal. I should have gone to the Dutch pot. Or the other Jamaican spot on flamingo. Online and in the restaurant menu said $28 for curry goat. I asked why it totaled to that much, lady said goat curry is $35. And the rest is “taxes and fees” how is it still $46.56? How??? That’s over 35 percent !!!! This is lunch, just one order. One meal. Not a dine in. I opened the meal in the car and all I got was bones and fatty meat. And mushy veggies. $35 for ox tails but not boney fatty goat no meat. I didn’t have time to argue because I had to go back to work. When I love eating at a place I make sure to advertise and give good reviews. The restaurant has to be realistic. This is Las Vegas you can’t just decide to charge what u want when u feel like it and add extra fees and taxes for to go meals. It doesn’t work like that. I called to make sure and the lady lied and said online it says $35 well maam that’s not true. I’m disappointed my hard earned money paid for bones. Look at photo would you pay $46.56??? This is not a fancy restaurant in a nice location.

Went as a part of three. Waited to be seated at the door (like the sign said) no one acknowledged us for almost 10 mins, so i flagged someone down to get service. There was only one table open when we got there and that’s because a couple had left. They only had one server helping a packed restaurant so I understood. I did see what looked like two kitchen staff trying to help up front. It was a night that they had live music. It was great so it made the long wait to order easier. However, once our food was ordered it came right out. Food was really good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Paradise Place is an absolute gem! The food is absolutely delicious—everything is full of flavor, and if you’re craving some tasty oxtails or curry goat, this is the spot. The ambiance is superb, with a warm and welcoming feel that makes you want to stay a while. Customer service is outstanding; the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is amazing, and the live music on Tuesday nights takes the dining experience to another level. I would highly recommend Paradise Place to anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and a truly memorable experience!

Google
Food was 10 outta 10. Flavorful yet not overly spiced. Amazing rice and peas(beans). Good prices, good food, great people.

Google
The customer service was very great and the food was amazing. The oxtails were delicious with thick gravy and the jerk chicken was fresh and jerk sauce was hot with great flavor. The restroom was also clean.

Google
The food was great. I wish I could take some patties (beef and curry chicken) home. The oxtail wasn't too sweet, the goat was great. The wings were on point. My son killed the rum cake. I wish Callaloo and saltfish were sold all day.

Yelp
Nice restaurant and great food. I've tried Brown Stew chicken, jerk chicken and curry goat. The staff could smile more. They don't come across as being too friendly.

Yelp
Honest review : it was food, we lived on an island for a long time and coming from FL as well NY Jamaican food ect... this was actually one of the worst spots for main Jamaican dishes. My chicken was so dry and it didn't make sense because it was EMPTTY when we came in the rice and peas dry the veggies overcooked . The patty I have to give a start for it was perfect flavor texture and it was so warm . The plantains were also good. My husband got the oxtail and it was not great idk where everyone is getting their standards from but it was basic oxtail and came with 2.5 on a plate also no extra gravy she literally said no and dry rice lol . Over all the customer service was typical. Not worth the hype AT ALL !

Yelp
The box is so tiny and she made me pay with cash $38.00! I don't know what happened but I will not be returning, I feel ripped off! I can't believe they moved went up on price and downsized on portions! That is a pack of gum on the box so you'll get an idea of the price.

Yelp
Walked in for an order to go. I looked online and their menu inside the restaurant. Curry goat was $28. I really wanted oxtails but they were $35. Now again this is a to go order. I was charged a total of $46.56 for one meal!!!!! I didn't dine in. I didn't add a tip. I asked how much the goat was and she said $35. I didn't argue and thought after taxes it won't be over $40. My total came up to $46.56. I didn't want to argue because I had to run back to the office. I looked online again and it said $28 and I remembered the actual menu in the restaurant said $28. The lady said including taxes and fees was that total. Now tell me how I'm paying over 35 percent in "taxes and fees" for one take out meal. I open my meal, I got overcooked veggies and the goat had barely any meat just bones and fat. Very disappointed to pay almost $50 at a restaurant that's in a not so nice area of Vegas for one meal. And illegally charged over 35 percent in "taxes and fees" update your site and your dine in menu. Not worth it

Yelp
The food rules supreme, and service....well, that comes secondary. I'm not sure why the best Caribbean restaurants have the most questionable service, but I can say the food is exquisite, no question there! I feel like every time I come here whether I dine in or decide to take a to-go order, I get someone with an attitude, brash, quick interaction, nothing inviting. One lady was argumentative when I asked if I could add Cocoa bread to my order. The only reason why I keep coming back is solely the food, and the Jamaican rum. Other Caribbean restaurants here in las Vegas DO NOT COMPARE to the authentic cuisine here. The flavors and spices are on point, the portions are large and worth the money, because the prices are a tad bit high, the presentation is always executed beautifully, and the drinks stiff baby!

Yelp
So, we came here to celebrate my mom's birthdate. Upon entry, we were immediately greeted. Our party size was 10, including a little human. We were quickly seated and then helped once our entire party arrived. There were unfortunately a lot of disappointments with this visit such as the oxtail entree running out (one of our guest couldn't order this), there only being one veggie patty remaining, and completely no seafood options as advertised on the menu (three of our guest with the inclusion of myself had our heart set on the snapper). Then, the drinks were advertised by the waiter as though they were authentic Jamaican drinks, however, these were predominantly store bought drinks that could be bought anywhere rather than drinks made in house or at a Caribbean store. I ended up ordering the jerk chicken which was good and spicy, however, the rice and cabbage wasn't anything spectacular or truly memorable. Overall, I left here disappointed. The service here was just okay. They seemed to only have two workers for the entire restaurant. We also wished they would have led with all dishes that were not available, when asked.

Yelp
First time here and I'm already a fan! Everything is cooked to order, so it came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions are HUGE, definitely come hungry. I loved the jerk sauce... it had just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming, and since it's served on the side you can add as much heat as you want. The place wasn't crowded at all, plenty of space to sit and relax, and parking was super easy. Overall, a chill spot with amazing Jamaican flavors. I'll definitely be back! Great service as well..

Yelp
One thing I always do is support my people...and during Hurricane Melissa hitting Jamaica I was thrilled to see Someome in Vegas doing this...donating and tasting "authentic Jamaican" food boy was I wrong.....false promo not even 50 % off only 15 as mentioned several times CLEARLY...no worries imma still support..coming from a long line of Jamaican women who can COOK I had hoped..but not too high...I ordered @paradiseplace876 stew chicken with rice and peas, veggies, and chicken Pattie...noooo no coconut milk or thyme in the rice...veggies had no seasoning...and the brew stew chicken was so under cook. It looked pretty but it wasn't....BUT THey had the Jamaican attitude down just NOT THE FLAVORS.....

Yelp
I went to this restaurant after waiting forever, and honestly I should've taken that as a sign. When the waitress finally wandered over, I asked if they had Diet Coke. Instead of answering like a professional, she decided to educate me. "We don't have Diet Coke," she snapped. So I asked if they had anything sugar-free, and she hit me with, "No... and why would you drink that? That stuff isn't good. That stuff kills you." Ma'am, nobody asked for a health seminar. Meanwhile, every drink she pushed was basically liquid sugar. When I told her I'm diabetic, she waved it off and said, "That don't matter. Diet drinks will kill you." The confidence of being loud and wrong was astonishing. My two guests were sitting there with their jaws on the table. One of them said he noticed her nasty energy the second he walked in, so clearly this wasn't a one-time moment; this is who she chooses to be. Then her teammate showed up with the same energy and same attitude. She said, "So... is this all y'all want?" in that tone that means, Say it now because I will not be returning to this table unless forced by law. The only reason we stayed was because we were at an event. The service was awful, the food was mediocre and overpriced, and the vibe was somewhere between hostile and "why are you here?" If the owner thinks customers will spend their money just to be talked down to, I wish them luck. At this rate, they'll need it. Keeping staff like these two is the fastest way to watch a business struggle. I would never return, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had

Jaz Z L.

Yelp
Oxtail dinner was flavorful, tender, good. Nice size portions. The rum punch will definitely give you a buzz for your buck!! DJ catered to the crown and asked if we had any requests. Customer service I'd give a 3, maybe she was having a bit so good day, it wasn't horrible it was just dry energy. I'd go back again!

Tyndale M.

Yelp
The food was outstanding. There was a party we weren't aware of but that was fine. Very nice people. Good music. Nice atmosphere.

Yelp
I woke up craving a beef patty and jerk chicken. We found this spot on Yelp and decided to try it - very glad we did! We were greeted by a kind woman who sat us and took our order. My husband and I both ordered beef patties to start and then I had the jerk chicken and he had the curry goat. We were blown away by the freshness and depth of flavor. Everything was delicious - albeit pricier than other Jamaican restaurants we've had in the past, including paying for water (bottled only), but that's inflation for you. Overall we has a great dining experience and will be back!

Yelp
Service was absolutely terrible. I ended up walking out. I sat for 20 minutes waiting for a menu when I finally got a menu. They never came to take my order. The waitress kept walking past me, even after raising my hand for help. DO NOT go here. I was constantly ignored and I could tell it was on purpose. The restaurant was half empty with plenty of stuff walking past. Even another customer addressed it.

Yelp
Okay so I came in on an weekday evening. The service was OK. The lady seemed tired and probably was working a long shift so I understand the struggle. It wasn't busy and there was maybe 3-4 other tables with customers. I ordered the Jerk Wings. They were seasoned very well but over cooked. Only two of the pieces were juicy, the rest were dry and tough. The rice was bland and I had to pour the jerk sauce on it to make it edible. The vegetables were delicious and cooked pretty well. They were tender and salted nicely. The portion size for the Jerk Wings was ridiculous. I paid $25 and with a tip it's over $30 easily. This plate was worth more like $15-20 at the most. There should be more wings for $25. While I was eating a large band came in and started setting up an event. They have weekly events for music and other events during the week which was really cool. I like the community aspect they had with hosting events and more. I'm sure there was other good dishes like the Oxtail, curry goat, etc that I did not try. I would steer clear away from the jerk wings and be ready to spend about $60+ for a meal for two.

Yelp
TLDR: Good food, albeit a bit pricey for the portions. Despite that, the flavors were definitely on-point! This is a winner! The Whole Story: I was in town for a conference and was looking for some good food away from the conference scene. I love Jamaican food so I found this place and decided to give it a try. Its recently relocated from a few blocks away into its current located in a strip shopping center. The rest of the businesses are not populated so parking was plentiful and easy. I parked right in front of the door. The space is very spacious and clean and is set up for other events or to accommodate large parties. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come and take my order, which was surprising as there were very few people in the restaurant. I ordered the jerk chicken (my go to dish), rice and peas and vegetables and it came with jerk gravy on the side! This was a treat because I am accustomed to most places giving your oxtail or brown stew gravy. With this wonderfully spicy jerk gravy, I could kick up the heat and flavor as much as I wanted. The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist and the rice and peas were a little under seasoned but that delicious jerk gravy took care of that nicely! I finished the meal with the rum cake with rum raisin ice cream. This was a great combination, as the cake was a bit dry and lacked the flavor, moistness and fruitiness of true black cake but was decent. Its kind of rare to see it on the menu of most Jamaican restaurants as usually a holiday or special occasion dessert. The ice cream paired well with it. I would like to try some of the other dishes but the prices are a bit prohibitive for the portion sizes. I know this is Vegas, but come on now! {Happy Food Coma Activated!}

Yelp
I've been to their previous location on Flamingo and Rainbow at the same shopping center as Sprouts. This was probably about 8 years ago, and I think they moved to this location on Sahara and Rainbow about the same time. This place is definitely more spacious than the previous space since this includes an area for live entertainment, dancing, and a full bar. We arrived on a Saturday around 5:30pm. There was 1 or 2 other groups, but the place was empty for the most part. I've noticed that most places sit pretty empty between 5-6 and starts getting busy after 7pm. Anyway, the hostess was our server. She was nice and explained this on the menu well when we had questions. We ordered oxtails and jerk chicken plates. Both come in big portions. The jerk chicken came with a brown sauce on the side, which consists of a combination of sweet, spicy, and savory. The sauce had a good amount of kick to it. The jerk chicken itself was well flavored and blackened with all the good seasonings. Includes large portions of chicken drumsticks and breasts. Comes with a side of cooked vegetables and rice and beans. The chicken tasted great with and without the brown sauce on the side. The oxtails were exactly how I remember it from their previous location. It's fall off the bone tender and perfectly sauced in brown sauce. There was a good amount of brown sauce with the oxtails, which was fantastic. The sauce was savory and rich, and I absolutely loved it. Comes with rice and beans and cooked vegetables. Overall, we really enjoyed this spot and will come here again.

Yelp
This is a great establishment. I love the food. The Carrie shrimp was so delicious. My friend had the curry goat and it looked good. The service was great. The facility was very clean and it was a great atmosphere. If you're in the local area I suggest you try this place. The Jamaican food is very authentic.

Yelp
Saw raving reviews online so wanted to check this place out. First impressions: dining area is clean. Music is jamming, live stream video of Kingston Harbor. Dining area is bright and clean and decor is colorful and fun. We were the only people dining on a Monday night. Short and sweet: prices are high (recent increase based on review of older menu photo uploaded), service is transactional. Do not expect warm and bubbly, but a quick interaction to get your food. Food is plated nicely and neatly, complete with decorative orchid. The whole plate was piping hot, plate included -- take from that what you will. Food itself was fine/tasty, but I don't know about $25-35 for an entree of chicken or oxtail. Taking that all into consideration, it was a fair one time visit, but I do not anticipate I will be a return guest.

Yelp
Food was AMAZING me and my three sisters went the morning after the BREEZY BOWL XX‼‼‼‼ and all of the food was a 10/10 and for a few of my sisters it was a first time, they enjoyed every bite of the food. The service was a 10/10 as well, communication was superb. I love the DJ he had me dancing in my seat, I like a mix of music and he came to deliver‼‼‼ This place is everything we could have imagined 10/10 definitely recommend. If your ever in Las Vegas and need a quick cure I would definitely suggest this place as a go to‼‼ GET THERE‼‼‼

Yelp
FIRST time going to Paradise Place and man was I pleasantly surprised & absolutely love this place!!!! I went on yesterday evening for dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday where we had the opportunity to dine in. The ambiance was welcoming, vibrant, and music playing in the background giving you the feeling you're right at home or somewhere in Jamaica! Service was amazing and made sure we were well taken care of the entire dining experience. Now getting to the BEST part, the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious with everything coming out quick, hot, and full of flavor! I definitely seeing myself coming back because those OXTAILS were incredible! I highly recommend you come check it out for yourself because you're surely missing out if you haven't been to this establishment yet. Thank you to my boyfriend who gave us the recommendation to check this place out because I truly because this is the best Jamaican restaurant in the Las Vegas valley!!!!

Omi W.

Yelp
The restaurant was shown on Jersey Shore by Nikki. We flew into Vegas for the fight and told my husband we had to eat here. We were welcomed with a smile and seated immediately. The service was fantastic and quick. The food was delicious and yes authentic.

Yelp
We went here for dinner and ordered the oxtails, jerk chicken, brown stew and chicken patty. Food was delicious! Definitely try the oxtails Very flavorful and tender!! It's a bit pricey but they do give you a lot of food. I love that they also have a DJ that play music. It adds a little Jamaican vibe!

Yelp
I came across this restaurant on a tiktok as a must try. I visited on a Tuesday for lunch time and it was empty. The space is nice, clean, and they have different events in the evening during the week. In terms of the service, the food came out fairly quick. Unfortunately, she did not state they only have certain menu options until we attempted to order it. Which is frustrating as she is standing right over us taking the order. In terms of the dishes, the oxtail was good. It was fall of the bone. The rice and beans were a bit dry but nothing a bit of sauce can't make right The plantains were not good. They were not sweet, the bananas used were not ripe enough and they lacked flavor. My friend's had the curry which they stated was good. In terms of price, it is pricey for vegas and on tiktok it seemed like big portions but not necessarily when we visited. I think I would visit again if I was craving it since I do not know of many in the area. But it would definitely be to go

Yelp
First and Foremost! The Ambiance, Quite Impressive! Their Staff Is Priceless! Their Dishes Are Mouth Watering! One Of My Favorite Restaurants!!

Kim K.

Yelp
I would start off by saying the food was OK. I got the oxtails plate. The oxtails taste a bit spoiled. I specifically asked in the instructions to give me all small pieces and not them big chunks but instead they give you the big pieces on purpose and up charge you for only two pieces of oxtails which I find is shady. They don't have to worry about me coming here again spending over $70 for two plates that I was not happy with on top of that the lady had a bad attitude very unwelcoming.
google avatar

Juanita T.

Yelp
Food & Service were top notch! Ms Donna & her sister took extremely great care of us and made THE BEST OXTAILS . There's a full bar but the pineginger fresh made juice is the absolute best. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and very accommodating. This is on the list for every Vegas visit tell aunt Donna the folks from Oakland sent you!!

Clarence A.

Yelp
Not sure if it's a west coast Jamaican thing but the food was absolutely NOT Jamaican cuisine!! What Jamaican you know make cabbage with broccoli and cumin, and oxtails was 60% browning seasoning, just nothing like ANY of my family makes (Jamaican decent) or I've ever had!! Ontop of the fact I paid 65 for my plate!! Better off going to stuff my turkey!!

Akeli L.

Yelp
The lady is the front was soo rude and disrespectful! I would never spend a dime at this horrible restaurant. No customer service skills at all. I was trying to order and she cut me off telling me she's speaking and I need to remain silent!! Like girrrl I'm ordering have some respect!!! I was speaking first. Just cuz she old and sour doesn't mean I need to shut up like a child. I am a paying customer she obviously needs the job I don't need your trash attitude or food
google avatar

Kirsten F.

Yelp
Was craving some island food and was in this area so we decided to stop by! Honestly the prices were pretty $$$ for what you got. But most Caribbean places in Vegas are, so we knew what to expect. We ordered a couple dishes so we could try different items. Everything was tasty and the portions were a good size. The owner was very sweet and made us feel at home. There was also a live DJ playing as well
google avatar

Yelp
I walked in this place tonight 6/14/25 at 9:00pm.the lady was very rude. She had a attitude immediately and told me and my girlfriend the dining was closed and we will get our food in take out boxes.after the attitude i walked out and will never return.the lady that I'm assuming is the owner is very mean and have horrible customer service.save your money and go to another Jamaican restaurant around town.trust me

Yelp
Since I was craving some Jamaican cuisine, I came across this gem online. It had decent reviews so decided to give it a try. I called in my order which was combo with oxtail and curry chicken(it came with rice and cabbage) and ordered side of fried plantains. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was impressed by the ambiance and how spacious it was. The decor was on point and the restaurant appeared very lively. It didn't seem busy at all for a Sunday night but it looks like the restaurant has alot of events/different themes nightly. I was immediately greeted at the door and my food was given. I got home and tried the food and it was delicious! The oxtails were my favorite as it was tender, nicely seasoned in the broth and overall just the right combination of flavors. I will be ordering this again. The curry chicken was tender and appropriately seasoned. I think I will try their jerk chicken next time. Overall this place is a must try. I would say the only con is the price. It is a bit pricey for the portions and I wished the side of plantains came automatically with the meal instead of being charged separately for it. That's what I'm used to. I will definitely be back to dine in and give the other items on the menu a try.

Yelp
DONT waste ur time or money. Horrible customer service. The woman was cold and seemed to really not want to deal with customers at all. Mind you WE were the only customers. (And i see why no one was there now) Slow service. We were the only customers and the food took forever. It came out tasted old and dry like it had been sitting all week. The Mac and cheese seemed to have slice cheese melted on top. GROSS. Needless to say we barely touched any of it. The only thing that was edible was the beef patty. And on top of it all it was EXPENSIVE dinner for two came out to 100+ dollars.

Neshaa J J.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite go to place for oxtails in LV. I feel like since they moved locations the oxtails aren't as spicy (hehe minor but the styrofoam plates hit different ) portions are still nice size I eat on it for 2 days This place is worth the try happy to see them upgrading and elevating not only with the plastic containers , new location, bar area, live music, different events on certain nights, lunch specials, and good service I don't mind spending 30.00 on my plate of good eats If you're craving oxtail, or curry, beef patties definitely give them a try

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place based on all the rave reviews on TikTok. The ambiance was promising, with a clean and spacious setup that seemed like it would be a fun spot when busy. The customer service was fantastic, too. However, I was sorely disappointed with the food. The menu is quite pricey. I paid $27 for two chicken legs, rice, and cabbage. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the cost. I ordered the brown stew chicken, which didn't look appetizing. The cabbage was mushy, and the rice was clumpy and flavorless, even with gravy on it. The chicken was very dark and bland. I could barely find any red beans in the rice--maybe three at most. Overall, my meal was a letdown. Perhaps it was an off day for the cook, but this wasn't the authentic Jamaican experience I was expecting. I came here because of the TikTok hype, but it seems they got it wrong--at least on the day I visited. Sorry to say, but I left very disappointed.

Yelp
Had a craving for Jamaican food, since the first place I went to was a let down I decided to get some food to go. The place was empty, I was greeted by a lady who was not too nice and cold towards me. The prices are high and the food is pretty decent. Definitely not worth the prices on the menu. I went with the oxtail platter, it was flavorful and served with rice and veggies. No other sides or utensils were given. Food was decent, but not good enough for me to return. Nothing stood out as special or welcoming

Yelp
On a random Tuesday the wife and I met up with some family at paradise and let me tell you it's a vibe! Great service, good music, amazing food, with good company leads to a great night. The beef patty is flaky, full of flavor with a little bite and just delicious 9/10 The veggie Patty was also delicious the wife rated it a 8/10 My wife had the jerk shrimp while I don't have a picture I will tell you it was fire 9.5/10 The brown stew chicken was off the hook this is my favorite Jamaican dish by far and they knocked it out the park, rich gravy full of flavor and the most tender chicken this was amazing 10/10 The same for the oxtail full of flavor rich gravy and just super tender beef 10/10 I will definitely be back! They are moving from this location in a few weeks time but not very far I look forward to enjoying this place again!

Yelp
I ordered this from Postmates. The flavor of the Curry Chicken is soo good but it has lots of small bone fragments in the sauce. I wanted to share with my toddler but it was hard because of all of the tiny pieces of bones shards within the sauce. Any rice that had sauce on it, had bones so she couldn't eat the rice because they were so small and hidden. The cabbage didn't have flavor, the rice and peas were ok. I also ordered jerk chicken and it came really black. I've been to Jamaica many times and haven't had it like that before, maybe that's how it's supposed to be, it's just not for me. it gave it a weird beef jerky flavor. It's also very pricey so I do not feel like it lived up to the price.

Yelp
BETTER THAN TASTE BUDZ ! I wanted oxtails and my go to is taste budz however they don't open until 5 so I typed In Oxtails on maps and came across this place. I got the oxtails with rice and Mac the rice and oxtails were 20/10 the Mac had 0 seasoning at all but the oxtails and rice were sooo good they still get 5 stars from me and I considered Mac is not a Jamaican dish so yeah . I also got a patty beef and wish I had ordered more I will b back

Yelp
My husband and I love oxtail and Jamaican food and came here for an early lunch date. This spot was a little tucked away gem. Excellent service, and a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere. We ordered the oxtail, jerk chicken, appetizer, Jamaican soda, and paradise punch mixed drink. It did not disappoint. I most definitely would love to come here for dinner as I feel the vibe would be amazing and take you to another place in time. They also have a bar and beautiful decor. Would love to try the salt fish next time as well.

Yelp
My fiancé and I were looking for a new spot in Vegas and came across Paradise. We both enjoy Jamaican food. This place is very clean and roomy. From the outside it doesn't look as big but it's a nice size. The greeting wasn't so warm! It was very dry and matter of fact! We don't feel that initial welcome. We ordered a lemonade and pineapple soda. Water was $1.25 so we skipped that. We ordered the curry goat meal & oxtails. The food was very good with great taste. We also ordered a meat patty and festival bread. So Good! We asked for containers to go and was given two containers. Our food fit in the containers but the bread did not, nor did we want to put it with the food to get soggy. I asked for another container and the server said, you didn't want to put it with your food? We both said, No!!! It felt like she did not want to give it to us, but she did. I am not sure I would go back due to the service. Just didn't seem like they cared whether customers would return!

Yelp
We had the oxtail dinner. It was fabulous. Everything, the rice & beans, the cabbage and the oxtails, of course, were cooked to perfection. If I lived in Las Vegas they would see me often!!

Yelp
We dined for the 1st time today around 3pm, the restraunt was fairly empty maybe 4 other tables with people eating. Service was a bit slow, and prices are IMO high, we ordered 2 beef patties, jerk wing plate, oxtail plate, 1 water, 1 Mango drink with tip, tax & a 10% military discount our bill came to $94! The jerk wings had a good spice, but too salty, they were so dry & tough, like beef jerky texture. For $26 it came with 5 small pieces. The beef patty & the oxtails were good but oxtails were also too salty. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be back to dine again, the search counties for a go to Jamaican spot for us!

Yelp
I came here on Tuesday 9th July to give this place a try, and what a bad decision I made. I held this review, as I've been busy traveling, but I kept my notes in draft. I'm from London, but both of my parents were Jamaican, so I grew up in a Jamaican household & eat Jamaican food all the time. I used to live in Las Vegas, and there was only one jamaican restaurant around, so I was excited to try this place when I came into town. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice & peas with a side of plantain & veg. They had a music open mic night, so I was catching a vibe while waiting for my food to come. When the food came, I was eating the chicken and struggling, so that was not good. I added some hot sauce to see if that would help, but stopped half way - I think the mom came up and asked if I was finished, and I said no I'm just taking a break, but really I've never taken a break when eating yard food, so that was a red flag. I came back to my hotel and within an hour my belly was running (bad) so I had a terrible evening, and I blame the food there - I've done intermittent fasting for the last 12 months, so don't eat until after 4pm and most days it's one main meal a day, and snack the night - as I wanted the Jamaican meal, I held off eating, and that was my first meal at 7pm The next day I called back to the restaurant & said can I speak to the owner, and the lady who answered said the owner is not around, but she's the chef so I should speak with her. I explained my story and she starts cussing saying there is no way the chicken run my belly and I'm lying that I do intermittent fasting - due to my Jamaican heritage, I didn't get triggered by her raising her voice or talking over me, and told her 'do better' I couldn't have got it from anywhere else ... unless it was the veg, rice or plantain, but that dinner I had gave me diarrhea for most of the night. I tried to reason with her, but the chef ended up hanging up the phone, so it didn't go further. I didn't call back, but it's a shame, I would never eat there again & trust the food.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying we went here of course before they were closing and I ordered two oxtail dinners not knowing there was a difference in sizes. Of course the woman gives us the largest portions. By the way my bill was $75 and I should actually do a Dispute on my credit card not to mention the food was so salty that I had a headache the entire day the next day I would never recommend or go to this place ever again not to mention the rice was so soggy the cabbage. I guess it was cabbage was so oily. It was the worst oxtail dinner I ever had I would never ever ever ever go here again and I suggest you any other people choose wisely.

Yelp
Went in to get 2 beef patties and an OXTAIL dinner. Ate one patty and just wanted to taste the dinner before putting it up for dinner and I ate the whole thing. It was absolutely delicious !!!! Next time I'm getting curry goat.

Yelp
That place is awesome! I had the curry chicken and jerk chicken combo. The lady who took my order was so nice and funny. The atmosphere is great except for no AC.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Live music on a Sunday was amazing. The singer was great. I think her name was Opal. Downside is that pricing is a little high. $25 per entree at the minimum is a little steep.
