Marsha - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Coincidentally this South Bank restaurant has the same motto as us when we’re hungover; ‘for the love of chicken’. Someone put that on a bumper sticker and whilst you’re at it, buy us a car, so we can use said bumper sticker. Their menu also states that it’s ‘a respectful and imaginative take on this mighty bird’. Marsha finally giving roast chicken the street cred it deserves, we love to see it. Although the service here can be a little flighty (pun very much not intended) during busy periods, there’s no denying that their chicken fresh from a farm in Yorkshire is some of the best in London. They’ve got everything from glazed chicken heart to crispy maple glaze thighs available, but we suggest that you keep things simple with the half chicken with spring slaw, triple-cooked fries, and house pickles. Seeing as this spot directly overlooks the Thames, a couple of Brambles in the sunshine alongside their juicy chicken won’t hurt either. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

This location seems to have placed "location" over "quality" in terms of food offerings. Let's start with the basics: 1) All the chicken choices, while coated in a fabulous buttermilk batter, are dark meat. Perhaps this is the preferred cut of the chicken for the ethnic vibe this location is attempting to replicate, one quickly loses the flavour of the batter once eaten. 2) Timing: now this is a bit tricky to explain, but I'll try - the meal choices are what one would expect in a great location such as this...a bit on the high side, but within reason. What surprised me was how quickly the meals arrived at our table after our server took our order. Maybe some like this quick service, however for me, this mirrored closely to getting my order at a fast food location...it didn't match... hopefully, this makes sense 🤔 For all of the offerings available along the South Bank, I'll be taking a pass the next time around.

A rainy Sunday lunchtime. We stopped in for lunch,we were seated quickly and found a menu on table opposite. We decided on burgers. I had truffle burger. It was very nice, came out in good time and was very tasty, the fries were also nice, had a diet coke for drink. It wasn't cheap, but it's the embankment so..... My wife had standard burger and again very nice, fries great and also diet coke. I do prefer coke zero, but was ok I guess. Service is 12.5% Food 8/10 Service 7/10 Cleanliness 7/10 Location 9/10 Value for money 7/10 Toilets 8/10 Definitely worth a visit Would go back. Bill £50..

Food was great, we got the bottomless brunch but ended up only having 4/5 drinks which we felt wasn’t entirely worth it :) definitely come here for the food! Staff were lovely.

It was our first lunch in London, kids were hungry so we didn’t do much research and had no expectations. After this we had quite a few fish and chips, including some much more posh establishments, and honestly none was even close compared to fish and chips in this café!! Excellent fish - fresh, tender, not overcooked!

Came here for a bottomless brunch with my sister. Had a yummy chicken burger and lots of Prosecco!!! Rafi the waiter was amazing, gave us great service. Paradiso should be happy to have him!

Our server was great. The burger was good, and I enjoyed the fish and chips. I couldn't eat it all, so was planning to take the rest with me but apparently they were out of take out containers. To pay for your meal and not be able to take leftovers with me considering the price is a deal breaker for future visits. I wonder how they handle take out orders???

Had a fantastic experience at Paradiso on the South Bank! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The view over the river made the whole meal even more enjoyable. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
