10 Best All-inclusive Resorts for Families in Mexico

"A visually striking resort marked by five gleaming white pyramids on one of Cancun’s notable beachfronts, offering spacious rooms with ocean or lagoon views (though rooms could use a refresh). Amenities are extensive: multiple restaurants and bars, a massive pool, a nine-hole golf course, and a YHI Spa. Families benefit from a dedicated Family Concierge that can arrange in-room amenities, restaurant bookings, and activities; children receive special beach kits, kid-size bathrobes and slippers, bathroom amenities, milk and cookies at turndown, children's beverages in the minibar, and can even request a PlayStation in the room. Distance to Cancun airport is 12 miles; Wi‑Fi and gratuities are included. Rates start at $420." - Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger Meagan Drillinger left New York City for a life on the road. Hotel Paradisus Cancun | Best places to stay in Cancun

"With over 500 rooms housed in towering, mock-Mayan multi-storey skyscraper pyramids (including one with hanging gardens) Paradisus is far from understated. But no hotel in Cancun has better facilities or a choicer beach location (on a vast stretch of sand right in the centre of the hotel zone). The hotel boasts four lagoon-style pools, a gym, tennis courts, a magnificent spa (with a hydrotherapy area and children’s beauty salon) a vast Kids and Baby’s Club with cinema and slide area, and a nine-hole, par three golf course. There’s an adults-only club with its own private pool and lounge area and the restaurant menu was created by 12 Michelin-star Spanish chef Martin Berasategui Olazabal. " - Alex Robinson

Me and my dad spent a week here in Mexico Cancun the views of the beach was really beautiful and the food on the resort was pretty good our favourite restaurant was lemon fish , Aqua Marina , Fuego , and Vento Restaurant!!!!!! Although the tilapia wasn’t our favourite dish at one of the restaurant with cardigan sea view!!!!!! For breakfast on our last day before flying home to Toronto we ordered room service the breakfast was really good!!!!! Except the apple juice tasted weird my dad had to pour out in the sink!!!! Overall a fantastic experience and thanks to the cleaner for keeping our room clean !!!!! Had a great time snorkeling in Mexico with my dad although the sea was very rough that didn’t help either!!!!!

⸻ I stayed for seven days at this hotel in Cancun and had a wonderful vacation! The room service was excellent — my room was always clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Pascual and Oscar at the buffet. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. There were also some young girls who played with the kids and made sure they had lots of fun — they were so sweet and caring! My child loved spending time with them. Overall, amazing service and great atmosphere. Definitely five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our first time to Cancun. This resort is the reason our lives changed forever when it comes to vacation. We use to go to Hawaii but since we've discovered this place and a fraction of the price, we dont even talk about visiting Hawaii anymore. This hotel is just all around an amazing place right next to the beach. Many reasons we will keep coming back. Gabby the bartender was so kind. We call her our Cancun best friend lol. She was absolutely so fun to be around and just a genuinely sweet and kind girl.

Amazing hotel, luxurious rooms, delicious food, reach self-service breakfast, but most of all friendly, helpful, always smiley staff, from concierge, bell boy, cleaner, gardener, entertainer, bartenders- everyone there was always super friendly and customer oriented to fulfill every need. It was exceptional. |The hotel is cleverly intertwined with a jungle vibe with wooden pathways leading either to another part of the hotel or to the beach. There is Adult only section for everyone to be able to relax, chill etc, while family friendly part offers a variety things to do of you have children. Top attraction is aqua Park.

This resort is perfect for families. Too bad it was closed for renovation this year. There is a huge pool in which at the end there is a kid's pool. While swimming to the kid's pool, there is icecream and pizza! There are also jacuzzis on the way. Walk down the pool, and there is a beautiful turquoise ocean with no rocks and no seeweed. The ac and fridge didn't work in the two rooms that we were moved to, but I understand the renovation will fix that. Cielo restaurant is amazing! The food there was the best in any resort I been to. Hopefully, this resort will open soon!

The hotel is saved by it's fantastic hard working restaurant and bar staff. Every morning for breakfast (and often lunch) we relaxed on the outdoor terrace at the Buffet restaurant and were looked after by Alberto and Joni who were an absolute pleasure to talk to and excellent hosts. Thank you also to them from our 2 young children who were treated just as well as the grown ups. We also enjoyed Aqua Marina where we were looked after by Erick, Wilbert and Sergio during the lunch service and Roberto in the evening. Jesus at Capello, Melvin at Cielo and Daniel at Lemon Fish also are fantastic waiters. For the people above, and for many more incredibly hard working staff around the pool and beach - they are working at 5 star standard all day long. Management need to look to themselves for areas that are making global review scores lower - and take the pressure off their employees. The issue here at management level is greed. On the run up to the stay there was frequent contact from concierge services but only with a view to selling room upgrades or experience packages. Simple requests like a room on a higher floor or in a quieter area were squarely ignored once it was clear that no further cash could be extracted. Fending off regular approaches from the 'circle club' sales team to attend seminars - not what I want to do on holiday. Some staff are clearly under pressure to sell upgrades for wine or 'chefs specials' and the daily rounds from the Spa and watersports excursions team. It can all lead to the need to say no thank you 10 times a day and walk around not making eye contact to avoid sales approaches. The big problem with our stay was the room we were allocated on the first night. It was actively dirty with blood on the vanity worktop. Light switches were cracked, lamps didn't work and I killed 5 cockroaches in the bathroom. It was an extremely unpleasant environment and to top it all - incredibly noisy. This room was in dire need of renovation and shouldn't be in use currently for paying guests. The response from reception was very disinterested - they processed a room change request which required me to return to reception at 0900 and again at 1500 to move room. Very disruptive to the holiday and absolutely zero concern about the state of the room. The reception team even suggested the next room might be in the same condition so there was no point moving. No apology was ever offered either. The complaints process was dissatisfactory and I have since received a refund via my credit card company for the night spent in a dirty room. The hotel refused to refund but offered an upgrade voucher for a future stay which i declined. The hotel itself occupies a huge amount of beach front and as a result has stunning views from all around the pool areas and lots of the dining and drinking areas. The building is old but there is a constant effort being made to maintain improve and re-paint areas. The food was excellent. Drinks selection also fantastic and the bar tenders in the mixology bar made incredible cocktails. Kanna Beach Bar is the perfect spot for the final drink before getting ready for the evening.

We have been going to Paradisus since 2017 around 1-2x a year (with a few exceptions, including during the pandemic). I have reviewed the hotel before in terms of the room, amenities, etc., but will skip that part-- the hotel will be closing for an approximately year-long renovation and it would be better to review once again after the facilities have gotten a refresh. What I would really like to review is the primary reason we continue to go back year after year, which is the staff, most especially the staff across the many restaurants on the premises. I have traveled to many places around the world, including numerous all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean. Experiences have varied but never have my family and I felt quite as genuinely welcomed and cared for as we have at Paradisus-Cancun. These they represent the hotel with the utmost professionalism and customer service. They have become such friends that we keep in touch with them on WhatsApp to share life updates, holiday greetings, and simple check-ins to say “hello”. The hospitality we have felt from these individuals goes way beyond it being their job. They not only remember our tastes, preferences, restrictions, but go so far as to help us when sick (having soups and other food brought to our room), make special meals and desserts to accommodate us or just to celebrate our being there, and even bring us gifts and tokens of friendship, which means the world, particularly when done for our young daughter. By doing this and much more, time and again they have shown us that we are not just hotel guests or customers, but family. It is why we return there instead of experimenting elsewhere whenever we want a relaxing vacation away from stress. My husband and I started going there when we were just dating, and since then they have seen us go from dating, to married, to expecting (they took very good care of me while pregnant) to having seen our daughter grow from one visit to the next. During one of our visits, we brought our friends with us (two families with their children) and they felt similarly comfortable with, and well-treated by, our Paradisus friends. The following list of names is not exclusive by any means, but it includes the names of the people who have had the most impact on us and with whom we have developed genuine bonds that go beyond the confines of the hotel and our stays therein. They take pride in their work and, above all, take human connections seriously. | |Roberto Ortiz|Francisco Tello|David |Guillermo|Nacho |Ramiro Pech|Armando UC Balam|Patricia Sanchez|Alberto Linares|Liliana Garcia|Ruben Gomez ||Hardworking doesn’t begin to accurately describe the work-ethic these people have, but what is even more incredible is the joy and passion with which they show up and how they do everything with a smile on their face and love in their hearts. Thank you to them and all of the wonderful people who have taken such great care of us throughout the years and who have made Paradisus feel like home. We are excited to see the improvements with the facilities, activities, etc., after the renovations, and we look forward to returning, with the sincerest pleas and hopes that the individuals mentioned above be retained-- their presence is what really makes Paradisus, and no number of upgrades or luxury additions will make up for their absence. They are Paradisus-Cancun and their absence would be a terrible loss for the hotel.

I understand they're closing for remodeling, so I'm not sure how accurate this review will be soon but I wanted to say that even before the remodel we had a wonderful experience. ||We booked in the reserve and I'm so glad we did. We were swept up when we got there. Offered drinks and popsicles and escorted to the reserve area. Jose met with us shortly after checking in to talk with us about what we were looking for and booked all of our dinners for the whole trip. We spent a lot of time at the reserve pool, where we were well taken care of. ||The time of year we were there I guess was a slow time because there were no lines or waits for anything. Not a lot of nightlife. Things wrapped up pretty early, but there were some shows and games and crafts to keep up busy if we were inclined. There are a couple of tables set up in the main area to help book excursions too so you don't have to plan any of that ahead of time or leave. Anything we did set up was just at Aquaworld just across the street. ||Many things I read people complaining about turned out to be very nitpicky and didn't have any negative effect on our experience.
