It wasn't tasty and was overpriced. The taste of the chicken clearly indicated that it had been reheated.

Man! This place is a gem. I've passed by this place often but have never gotten anything to eat here. I got the Lomito Al Jugo and it was delicious! Cooked just right and left me full. The service people here are also extremely kind and customer oriented. I can tell on the weekends that this place gets packed. Bottomless mimosas, bar and plenty of seating, I think I just found one of my new favorite places to eat 😄

daniel kim

Google
Service was great, and the food was excellent. Got the whole chicken, which comes with fries and various sauces. Ask for more of the chimichurri because it takes the chicken (and everything else you pour it on) to the next level. Also got the order of rice and the coleslaw - and the standout was the coleslaw! The style is definitely fresh and herby with a bit of honey. The only disappointment was the kid's quesadilla. Seemed to be plain cheese with no fillings.

Google
Great cocktails and food!! Love the Empanads you can't go wrong with them. Will be coming back!

Google
If you’ve been craving some good Peruvian chicken, @paraditaeatery hits the spot! The chicken is fall off the bone tender and super flavorful. We also got one of their empanadas which for me was my favourite out of everything. It had a really flaky exterior and stewed chicken with nutty cheese sauce filling. 。。 📍Public Market Emeryville, CA 。。 🍗🥔 Pollo a la Brasa 🥩🍚 Lomito al Jugo 🐔🥐 Aji de Gallina

Google
Paradita is Deeeelish! Make sure to order the Aji de Gallina; think of it like chicken curry with a Latin flavor twist. And, if you are looking for a refreshing & healthy salad, the Quinoa salad is legit the best salad in the food hall. It is paired perfectly with sliced sweet green apples and passion fruit (reminds me of mango) dressing. The texture is well balanced amongst the grains, greens, fruits, and crunchies. Omg, and they serve Topocico. If you know, you know! Lucy/Lucille was so accommodating and such positive energy to make sure I had the best foodie experience.

Erick Arias

Google
To have peruvian restaurant around is always a treat and an enjoyable experience 5*. However, I do want to say that the Aji de Gallina is not authentic. Tastey but the taste and texture is not that of the real thing, nor close.

Milo Conway

Google
There are plenty of seatings: inside there are barstools and small tables, outside facing street is patio seating. Ordering is smooth, online with Caviar or at the counter. No table service, pick up at the counter. The Lomito al Jugo is pretty tasty but the beef is a bit overdone and tough. The Pollo a la Brasa was overcrisped at the extremities; wings were basically charcoal. White meat was also a bit dry in spots. However, the flavor was good, and so were the sauces, particularly the chimichurri. The empanada was just right, warm and flaky. Prices were a bit high for what you get - small sized entrees with oversized portions of fries, but all in all a good place to try once a while.

Yelp
I wanted to try something new for the both of us and we chose this place. The staff member asked if we wanted a sample so of course we gave it a try. And wow. Oh wow. We got a sample of the Lomito al Jugo. It was so good that I ordered it. Yes, the sample worked. While we waited for our food I was checking out their decor. There's a row of seating available inside. Simple decor, which is nice as it doesn't take away from the experience of tasting the food. When I got my order of Lomito al Jugo, I was so excited. It really is that good. The flavors were addicting. Everything was seasoned well and I didn't feel gross after eating anything. He also gave us a sample of the flan, which was good too. Not too sweet, just right.

Yelp
Was craving chicken for lunch and this was the perfect spot! Pollo A La Brasa - 4.5/5 - Perfectly seasoned combining savory Latin flavors with slightly charred skin. Ordered half a chicken (1 drumstick and parts of thighs/breast) and I could barely finish it all. The Huancaina sauce was amazing, reminding my of a high quality cheese dip. The chimichurri was also bursting with flavor. Combining the chicken with these sauces turned brought my tastebuds to flavortown! Fries - 4/5 - I am a fry aficionado and I must say these fries were a hit! Crunchy, good thickness, and had flavor. They were moderately greasy, which could be good or bad depending how you're feeling. Near the end I shredded some chicken and made the perfect bite with chicken+fries+both sauces. Extremely generous with the amount too! Prepare to share or have leftover fries. Service was friendly and fast. Ambience was clean and had plentiful seating. Will come back to try more of their menu!

Yelp
I've been craving Peruvian food for the longest. And boom I found Paradita. Everything that I get from here has been solid and it's my goal to try items I haven't tried before. The veggie saltado is seasoned perfectly I can literally eat this all day. I also love the adobo tacos, their so good and flavorful and I crave them almost every week. Also the rocoto aioli here is hella good, I at least get two containers because I literally put it on everything. Also notable mention that Sangria.... Luz introduced me to it and excuse me??? it's so good??? But let's not forget the most important part, the staff is super friendly. Luz and Elizabeth are my girls and they always are so attentive and cool every time I walk in. It's been a long time since I've been somewhere and you get good vibes and good food consistently. I'm gonna miss this place when I leave the area due to moving jobs but will for sure try to go here when I'm in the area. Much love to team Paradita from a real bay area native! You guys better be nice to them when you come here, they're good people!

Jose Manuel C.

Yelp
Inside public market is a Peruvian restaurant, while it doesn't sell ceviche it sells lomo saltado, something other Peruvian restaurants in the bay don't have. This place also sells tacos and dog friendly bites, so I would say I qualify as a fusion rather than authentic. I had a traditional lomo saltado, it was delicious. I probably would say If you ordered some of those things in a taco I'd feel like a fajita. Place sells Peruvian beer and other spirits, kind staff and salsa music. I'd say probably not the most authentic but considering Peruvian restaurants with lomo saltado it was decent. 4.7 of 5. I'd probably go again

Yelp
Paradita Eatery is one of the restaurants at Emeryville's Public Market. It sits on the Eastern side of the complex and has direct exterior access. The space is setup partially as a bar and partially as a light casual restaurant. They do a great brunch! We get the breakfast sandwich, which is Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and two eggs with rocoto aioli followed by a side of mix greens salad with feta cheese and fruit cup. Brunch also features a bottomless mimosa. But watch your clock! There is a 90 minute limit! Parking is easy. Lots of parking in the parking lot for the Public Market across the street. Also be sure to check out there happy hour!

Adelina S.

Yelp
Delicious empanadas, we ordered chicken empanadas and the caramel cookies. The service is great, they are friendly and the place is very nice and clean. We definitely have to come back in the next time.

Jeanette L.

Yelp
I often come to this public market and always crave Peruvian food yet rarely treat myself. I decided to treat myself to one of my favorite Peruvian dishes, Tacu Tacu. A delicious semi mashed rice and bean mixture. It is absolutely delicious such an amazing consistency almost a kin to a sticky rice. You can get this with various protein options but I wanted a small side and it's a very generous side. They have Peruvian drinks and other delicious treats. I would absolutely eat here again and recommend you try one of their delicious dishes.

James N.

Yelp
Went here witth my friend There's alot of options and landed one the first bowl Great food and service!! Definitely recommend if you're craving peruvian food.

Hillari A.

Yelp
Good fried chicken sammie!! And the staff very nice. Would recommend for lunch or casual dining.

Yelp
This review is for ordering via YELP only. The food is freaking great. Ordering online from Paradita is always a hot mess. Ordering from Paradita via YELP is a sh*t show beyond measure. I was in SF heading back over the bridge so Grubhub was having trouble locating the business so I clicked via google- order pickup which launched Yelp. Placed my order - received the email confirmation and headed across the bridge to pick it up. Get to Paradita they didn't get the order. I show them my order number - the confirmation number and they can't find it. It's not even in their system. So now they are asking me to wait more - I've already been there for 15 minutes so I called Yelp/Grubhub help line - and they had to call the business to tell them to make my food ‍‍‍ So PRO tip - do not order this way. My co-workers told me I made a rookie mistake and to never order food via the YELP app! And again - food 4 stars just order it there

Yelp
Platanos Fritto -- standard fried plantains, was sweet and warm. It had a little crisp on the edge. Aji de Gallina Empanadas -- flakey, warm and delicious. The breading was nice and fluffy.

TC C.

Yelp
I ordered the aji de gallina and it was SO DELICIOUS! Very authentic flavor. We also got the peruvian beer cusqueña, perfect pairing. My partner got the vegetarian chifa burrito, even though the chifa did not look super authentic, she still loved it and I am glad they have vegetarian options. There was live music that we enjoyed, can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Paradita is a fast food restaurant that's one of the best options at the Emeryville Public Market. They offer a free beer with Yelp check-in! That wasn't the only highlight of my visit. The food was delicious, especially my sandwich. Crispy Fried Chicken Marinated in Aji Amarillo, topped with Cilantro and Chile Rocoto Aioli. The chicken is lightly fried in a delicate batter. Comes on excellent bread by Panorama Bakery. Well worth $15 - it was so good. Add a fried egg if you like to roll like that. My girlfriend got a meal-sized Quinoa Salad that was delicious for $14. Comes with mixed greens, tomato, and a passion fruit vinaigrette. The empanadas are huge. Made to share. You can even make a meal out of it. Just $10. Mushroom lovers will delight in the Empanada de Champinones. Topo Chico $5. I got a free Modelo by checking in on Yelp! Order from the friendly gentleman at the counter. You'll get a buzzer to let you know when to pick up your food. Seating at 2-tops and 4-tops or at the bar. Bonus: they offer breakfast on Tuesday - Sunday, 11 AM - 2 PM. Get this, bottomless mimosas are $22 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They give you 90 minutes to do your damage. I'm curious to try the bowls, skewers and rotisserie chicken sometime. This is now my spot. Public Market has a real winner here. Yes, it comes in fast food packaging, but this food is a cut above the other fast food offerings.

Yelp
Excellent meal with excellent service. Stopped by here for some take-out dinner before work. I ordered the roasted chicken and the flavor was incredible. And have a few of the Cookies with tea, your welcome.

Gabriel B.

Yelp
I wrote a review about this place over 4 years ago and stopped by again. I have to say, for a quick service/fast food type establishment, the food is absolutely acceptable. Today I had the Lomo Saltado and the quality of the ingredients are good enough for me (culinary and hospitality background accustomed to eating at 4 diamond and above sites). I'm familiar with a couple of other restaurants under this group's ownership, including their Half Moon Bay location named La Costanera, very good and beautiful views of the Pacific. In addition to the food quality being acceptable, the team is friendly and always makes me feel welcomed. Kudos to Elli and Jose who seem to run the front of house for always being attentive, warm, and welcoming. They also know the product well and made good recommendations. Fabian, the bartender makes a really attractive and good tasting Margarita with sal de chapulin and tajin, not too sweet and good considering the establishment is not a full service bar. I recommend this place located inside of the Emeryville public market. Enjoy!!!

Colette D.

Yelp
Haven't been here since before COVID and so happy it's still here at the Emeryville Public Market. So many good things here but my most favorite dish I crave is the Arroz Chaufa which is Peruvian fried rice with pork belly. It's slightly different than before and can't figure out what's different. I know they put the sauce on the side now instead of drizzling on top and maybe the rice is not as fluffy and full as before but nonetheless still so delicious. Just be careful parking your car there cuz I've gotten my car broken into and they have many signs warning it's an issue there. Still hasn't prevented me from going there for my Chaufa cuz it's that worth it. I've been to Peru before and honestly I think I enjoy the Peruvian food at Paradita's more. So save yourself the hassle and altitude sickness and just come here.

Lea W.

Yelp
I love this place! The food is amazing, the drinks are delicious, and the service is great. It gets busy on Fridays but the service is still pretty quick considering. The staff is super friendly and they go the extra mile, especially Elisabeth. Best part they now serve Manhattans aka The East Bay Warrior and they have a Happy Hour. They are located in the Emeryville Public Market.

Justin R.

Yelp
Front and center, you'll find Paradita in the Emeryville Public Market. Their empanadas don't disappoint. They are large, unlike the traditional pocket size, nice and flaky, not over fried and we're stuffed perfectly. Loved the chorizo, was spiced perfectly and incredibly tasty w/ their version of almost like a mignonette sauce on the side. The garlic chicken curry was good and I loved the balance it had w/ the melted cheese inside. Oh BTW, shoutout to Yelp! Make sure to checkin and you get one free beer :)

Christine F.

Yelp
The lomo saltado sandwich was very excellent! I never had it as the actual dish but I can tell I would love it as the actual one. The fries add a great texture to it. Price wise, it is a bit expensive for the size of the sandwich but hey that's inflation. Customer service is very excellent. I appreciate everyone's efforts in crafting the sandwich as it was made to order!

John C.

Yelp
First time here before the movies and let me tell you, this place does not disappoint. I had the lomo burrito and my partner had the lomo sandwich. Both had amazing flavor and reminded me of the amazing Peruvian places back in the east coast and my moms cooking. Also had the yuca fries, they were really good! Only critique was the huancaian sauce could have used a little more heat and salt but otherwise really great place!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This is the first time to the Public Market since Covid. Walked in at Paradita with music playing. I quickly spied the empanadas. I'm a sucker for a good empanadas. Wandered to try to decide. Hubs went with Super Duper looking for predictable. I went for Paraditas and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Ahi de gallina? Empanadas. Yum! A super light flaky crust. Delicious flavors. I knew my hubs would want some so I ordered more... 2 taco special, adobo and pork shoulder. Perfect, tender, the flavors on point and the tortillas made the taco. I can cook that meat (I'm a decent cook) but I don't make tortillas. Listen. I'm petite. I ate it all. And a sangria on top of it. Perfect date food. We'll be back and yes, hubs had a bite of it all and is all in next round.

Melanie D.

Yelp
Came here during lunch and ordered the aji de gallina. My order was ready in about 15 minutes. I really enjoyed the dish. I would say though for the price of the dish, I feel like they could have added more rice. It was kinda skimpy.

Xiao Z.

Yelp
The pork ribs are soooo good. The pork was really tender and glazed with tangy sauce, the slaws were crunchy and refreshing. Also the rice below it was so flavorful, it had some white beans in it and tasted a bit like Mexican rice. I wish there's something like this public market near Milpitas.

Carlos E.

Yelp
Delicious. A bit pricy, but always happy with the food and service. Friendly staff and great vibe.

Bethany L.

Yelp
I grabbed a quick lunch here the other day in the Public Market and I'm so glad I chose Paradita Eatery! First, located in a food hall, it did have it's own dedicated restaurant space and wasn't just a vendor amongst the crowd. I asked for whatever the most popular bowl was and promptly was served the lomito al jugo - and holy heck was it delicious. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, it was perfectly sauced, and was just really delicious! It was served with stir fried beef tenderloin with tomatoes and red onions, on a bed of rice. It was also a huge serving - had I not been going to a work function and had access to a fridge, I easily could have gotten two meals out of the portion!

Noe P.

Yelp
Exelent service delicious food I recommend 100% this restaurant everybody must to come here and eat tus real Peruvian food and enjoy with family with the tropical music

Chase A.

Yelp
Has been a mouth-watering and reliable haunt of mine since they opened. All their fries are amazing and thinking about that fried chicken sandwich is making me salivate! Friendly staff and quick service make this a no-brainer. ¡Vamos ya!

Shaina G.

Yelp
A nice selection of menu items to choose from. Our highlight was the arroz chaufasweet- unique combination of flavors. Everything else was really flavourful and refreshing. Will be back to try the other food, wish we came in a bigger group so that we can try everything!

Sade C.

Yelp
We moved here about 6 months ago and were looking for a good Peruvian place that survived the pandemic. Since then we go to Paradita once a week like clockwork. Our order? Lomito Bowl Alfajores Bottled coke Every time. No exceptions... but I recently saw they added lomito as a burrito. I might stray... Ambiance great, place clean, service quick. Certainly well-priced compared to Lomo Saltado at many other Peruvian spots. Definitely recommend. Ps Don't forget the spicy salsa!

Bayliss C.

Yelp
The lomita al jugo is _awesome_. The staff are super-friendly, and my 9-year-old thinks very highly of the sweet potato fries.

Magali C.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by chance while on a road trip and while perusing the options at the public market decided to try Peruvian food. It was absolutely delicious. fantastic flavors, interesting food and a change while not being "weird" For the canine owners they even have a doggy meal! Highly recommended

Linda S.

Yelp
Was out walking and decided to pop into Paradita. I had never been before and was up for something new and was pleasantly surprised. The place wasn't busy but I was there about 11:30am. I ordered a mushroom empanada and the plantains. They didn't have a lot of vegan options however the quality and flavor of what I had made up for lack of variety. The mushroom empanada was more of a flakey pastry than what I would consider a traditional empanada. The crust was amazing, cooked to perfection with layers of flakey goodness. The mushrooms and greens on the inside had a rich savory gravy that balanced out the pastry. Absolutely melts in your mouth. The portion was just right for lunch and easy to pick up and eat like a sandwich. The plantains, oh the plantains: creamy, sweet, generous portion. They were so luscious and decadent. They came with a sweet sauce but I thought they were sweet enough on their own. I have not had plantains cooked this food in years. It's worth stopping by just for the plantains. Service was good. Prices were a little on the high side but not unreasonable. I took my food to go but Public Market where they are located had ample seating at the time to be socially distanced.

Wendy C.

Yelp
Notes (1) Free parking lot across from the eatery. For those who are expecting a full restaurant experience, this is not what you're looking for. This place is part of an eatery so walk around and explore the options. I was so excited to find a Peruvian restaurant around the area that we were staying at. We ordered the lomo saltado (bowl), half pollo a la brasa and a chicha morada. Let's begin with the best which was the lomo saltado. It was so flavorful and the beef was so tender. However, the pollo a la brasa was disappointing as It was flavorless and tasted like any other grocery store rotisserie chicken. They also did not have aji verde which is a classic that goes with the chicken. The chicha morada was decent but too sour and sugarless to my taste. Usually chicha morada is super sweet. The staff was nice and friendly which was a plus. As mentioned, it's an eatery so there are plenty of tables inside for small/large groups. Overall, I enjoyed the lomo saltado but the food just didn't taste authentic enough.

Ty C.

Yelp
I found Paradita through yelp. I was looking for a place to grab something to eat before a stint of day drinking in the emeryville/Oakland area. This was my first stop. I got the pork sandwich which was really tasty, but the portion size seemed a bit small to me based on the price, however a friend shared some fries with me so that helped, AND there is a yelp check in deal for a pint of beer. This was so clutch and started off the day right. You're welcome. Free game courtesy of my yelp review. Paradita is part of the public market, so there are lots of places you can sit to eat your food. There is a full bar right next door, a bbq place, and bunch of other options if whoever you are eating with doesn't want to eat the same thing as you. My friend was not wild about the Chicken sandwich, so I would not recommend getting it. Overall, for a sandwich and a beer, the value was great. Without the beer thrown in, the prices are a bit high and portions a bit small.

Monica M.

Yelp
This place is to die for!!!! From the service, drinks food and company. We felt like part of the party. Great conversations and interaction with the representatives at this fine eatery. Definitely! coming back.

Madhu J.

Yelp
I like this place for the veriety of Peruvian food available and I don't know how authentic the food is, but I find them tasty. The only thing I don't like about this place is the prices. $20.00 + tip for a small paper plate of food court food, unreasonable. I give this place 4 stars for the food 2 stars for the prices

Tad S.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich is so underrated. You gotta try this one. Grab a drink while you're at it they're great as well!

Lakeyla G.

Yelp
This is actually a pretty good Peruvian spot for a quick grabs the food was cruelly very tasty. But what Makes it the best is the customer service. They were very accommodating and kind. There was a mistake that was Mde and the owner was very understanding and comped us the meal because of it without us us even asking. Above and beyond.

William S.

Yelp
Paradita serves amazing Peruvian food! Being of Peruvian background, I could say that the food is authentic. Lastly the customer service is great too. Fabian and the team are always attentive!!

Nuh A.

Yelp
I've ate here since the first week it opened, quality hasn't changed. Happy to taste the Good old fashioned Peruvian food. It's unfortunate not to be able to live closer to this place. I recommend Lomo something freaking gooooood

Sean W.

Yelp
Paradita is my go to eatery in the food court. There food is an interesting fusion and is very good. Jeff took great care of me and even gave me a couple cookies.

Rob E.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Hand crafted from scratch with local, high quality ingredients. My server Jeff was amazing. I'll come here again because of Jeff.

Jeff H.

Yelp
Anything here is a sure thing! First restaurant I've tried several different items with great satisfaction. I have a Peruvian family member that cooks with an authentic flare. I can't tell the difference between his cooking and Paraditas but both are exceptional. My new favorite place! I'm sure it will be your's should you try any dish!

Javbuh ..

Yelp
Amazing food! Even better service! I go here for my lunch break every week and it's always just as good if not better than the last. would 10/10 recommend

Marcella S.

Yelp
Amazing food! Great people! Always welcoming and super quick service. Not very many Peruvian restaurants around and this one is definitely a favorite.

Jonathan J.

Yelp
I love coming here for lunch! The food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. It's located in the Emeryville public market and fits in really well with the vibe of the shopping center. They have a bar and plenty of seating as well! I come here very often!

Brittuhknee D.

Yelp
I loved everything about Paradita and ended up going the two days I was in the area. Both times, I ordered the Pollipapas and a fresh juice. AMAZING! It's such a unique dish with lots of flavor! In addition to great food, Paradita also had live music playing different genres of Latin music. When I'm in Emeryville, I will be back!

Loba C.

Yelp
Got the Ají de gallina (Peruvian chicken stew) empanada and alfajores (Dulce de Leche sandwich cookies). The chicken was savory and comforting. Salsa was fresh not too spicy not too sweet. The cookies were also tasty definitely homemade and not store bought. Service was quick and friendly! Restrooms and counters were clean! Will come back to try other menu items!
