Bad Room: I felt in the bathtub because the holder came off the wall. Didn’t get seriously hurt, but would be serious for elderly guests. The screws were completely rusted. I asked them to check the other rooms. They offered a breakfast (18 euros) to compensate. Food: not expensive for a 4 star hotel, but also not good enough, other places have a better cost benefit. Good Decoration and ambiance: very pleasant place, well lit and with good ventilation and spaces to rest. Location: the best, beautiful views. Service: all staff were very well trained and polite, some friendlier than others but overall good.

Your arrival through 2 of the old fortress gates gives an idea of what is to come. The Parador itself, although a relatively recent building gives a fantastic nod to the history of the area. All the staff were friendly & helpful & the meal we had in the restaurant was superb, I had been a bit apprehensive after some of the reviews, but no need to worry at all. Great to see a separate shower in the room as well just a shame we didn’t have a sea view.

A modern Parador on the site of an old fort, overlooking the sea. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed with excellent sea views. The food in the dining rooms well up to Michelin standards and the wine list has some excellent bottles at very reasonable prices The nearby village has several restaurants serving good-quality local seafood.

Positive: The service staff was fenomenal! Thanks The view on room 324 also amazing! Improvements to consider: -Overall smell upon entry in the room seems as if the place has very serious humidity issues on all the walls. This can be a health safety hazard that Management needs to take action fast - Both faucets on the bathroom sinks smelled like sewage daily indicating of a pipes sewage grave problem. Also a health safety hazard. - No windows screen netting available on all windows to prevent mosquitoes in the room. We traveled there to feel the cold breeze and hear the ocean not to have windows closed as it was advised to us by the staff.

Beautiful location (though a bit of a hike to the town) but the service is very lacking. The workers don't seem to care that much. The room is nice with nice views but are totally infested with mosquitos. When I first went into the room, there were at least 10 that I can see on the walls and on ceiling and my window was closed. I spend time trying to kill them but did not help. That night, I had over 15 bites...Ouch! Worst yet, almost everyone else in our group of 11 camino goers complained about mosquitos. The next morning, I told the front desk person about them and she became super defensive...and I wasn't even looking for a refund or anything. I thought it would be good for them to know so that they can do something about it for the next guests but the woman at the front desk could care less. Terrible attitude. I would never come back!

We were thrilled with this destination for our first trip to Galicia. Our corner suite had amazing views and every amenity imaginable. Dining in the two restaurants was excellent.

Lovely setting, and the common areas of the hotel are fantastic, however the rooms are a little dated, and you have to pay for water if you want some in your room. Its the location that makes this hotel.

This is a 2 star hotel at a 5 star location. Beautiful views and building as well as an excellent breakfast, but a lot of shortcomings that are just not tolerable at this price point. The pool area is dated and ugly, there are no slippers and no bathrobe, nor any complementary water. Also, it is built within a tourist attraction which is crowded all day, meaning that whenever you want to have natural light in your room you will also have about twenty people looking in. As tourist access requires a ticket, there is only the main exit from the hotel, which is about 15 minutes by foot. As a consequence, every walk to the beaches that would only be about 100m away turns into a frustrating walk past the barricaded side exits all the way out of the fort and then around it on the outside. This of course does not bother many guest residing here, as they are predominantly geriatric and don't even dream of going to a beach. Consequently, the visual and olfactory experience in the breakfast hall can only be likened to a retirement home. The staff is alright, but I've certainly seen friendlier and more professional service at half the price.

I mean...amazing. Breathtaking and gorgeous and delicious and comfortable and quiet and amazing. You will never find another view like this one. You will never enjoy another property like this one. I don't care if you have to drive across Spain--get here. It's a lifetime experience, start to finish, top to bottom. Perfecto.

Even though we did NOT stay at the hotel, we did make a detour and stop by as per friends recommendations.... too bad the hotel was sold out as it would have been a treat to stay here. This place is sitting on top of a hill overlooking the Atlantic sea at its best.... views are beautiful and the hotel has a surrounding walking trek of several kilometers .... if you don't want or can't stay the night, stop by and walk the premises... it is worth while. There is a lot of Christianity in this place and you do feel the monastery touch... All in all, glad we came here... Enjoy

We had lunch in the smaller section of this restaurant (just off the bar). The view was fantastic, but the service was curt and unfriendly. The server acted as though she was doing us a huge favor allowing us to sit at one of her tables to order a meal. The menu is small.... a few tapas and a few sandwiches. When we inquired about the possibility of altering a menu item (specifically having the vegetable sandwich made without bread so it would be a salad) we were flatly refused.... without the server even checking with the kitchen staff. The food we did get (a chicken sandwich and an ensalada mista) were adequate, but nothing special. Honestly the free peanuts served at the bar were more satisfying.
